Ahh the banner on your page looks so cute!!
thank youuu!! it is by popping-greenbean!!
g!evie and diluc take a little trip to dragonspine (more like g!evie marches into dragonspine because she wants to reach the summit [she has a thing for heights] and diluc tags along because he does not want her to walk into a dangerous mountain and never come back)
shenanigans ensue. it's at the point where they're both in love with each other, but they're both different about it because gevie has come to terms with it basically and is deciding to ignore it, but diluc has Not had that same amount of time to grow accustomed to his new reality so he is Feeling A Lot Of Things. and keeps getting nervous when g!evie does ridiculous shit like reach for an obviously dangerous beating heart or creep just a bit too close to the edge of a cliff
also they beat up fatui while they're at it and that's diluc's pretense for tagging along LMAO

feat. miko, kazuha, ningguang, thoma, lisa ( separate )
𝐈𝐍 𝐖𝐇𝐈𝐂𝐇 they are so obviously in love with you
( or, in which i tie them to a taylor song i’ve been crazing over, but you don’t have to listen or know the songs to read / understand )
note. reader’s gender unspecified, implication of sexual intimacy ( for miko, the others do not have this )

YAE MIKO. false god
Tumblr media
Her affections stemmed from a sort of sightless faith.
When she leans back downwards, pink strands all messily cascading down her shoulders, she plants the lightest of kisses on the bare stomach of your laying form. But you could tell such a small act was still the most holy of worships, almost as if she was kissing the ground of a path to an alter.
“You were so divine,” she whispers, lips plump against your skin. And it feels like sin, almost, to have the Yae Guuji speak to you as if communion was melting on her tongue. “I wonder what God I pleased to ever deserve you…” It a mumble that’s so casually said, one that is only spoken between divinity and its loyal follower.
And said loyalty was etched into her name, truly, coursing through the way her fingers traced along your hips. They were gentle, almost akin to worship.
You were no God. And yet, there was a blind faith in her eyes that swore to the Heavens about the things she would do for you—to wait centuries, to topple down Celestia, to defy the Gods themselves, all for you. But was faith really blind, when the taste of religion danced upon the lines of her lips?
You may be no God, but you were her only diety. Oh, how the real Gods of this world were probably glaring down on you now—to see the Grand Narukami shrine maiden laying atop your body in a manner of worship that was only meant for sanctity. A manner so sacred, one that she should only show to the reigning Celestia and never to you.
But when she loves you more than the Gods, you might just get away with it.

KAEDEHARA KAZUHA. cornelia street
Tumblr media
He met you at sea, a Liyuen shipmate on the carefree Crux.
Carefree: He’d say that word was a great way to describe you. You were like the ocean, so unbelievably unpredictable and characteristically carefree. He swore he saw the serenity of the sea in your spirits—and when he introduced himself with a mere ‘Hello, I’m Kazuha,’ your smile in return may have haunted him for an eternity that the God of Electro could not even dare to recreate.
Kazuha grows to love the sea at the same time he grows to love you. Wishing waters practically spell out your name, and he thinks of you in a way that harmonizes to the nature of this world.
Such harmony proved to be naive, however, on one trip where Beidou sadly proclaimed you were not on this journey, and he felt sick to his stomach. It was the first time he got seasick. It was the first time ever since he step foot out of Inazuma that he felt so drearily dizzy, and it was when you were not there.
The ocean felt lonesome, he felt incomplete. And being surrounded by its ferocious vastness felt so scarily suffocating that even the sounds of waves would haunt him in his sleep.
Then it was quite telling, truly, when the moment he docked onshore, the light of your eyes greeting him with the crinkling scent of the sea came to cure his feverish feelings. He was well again, suddenly the waves felt so kind—and perhaps that was when he realized that harmony was a silly ideal; you are the ocean itself to him. Love so powerful, so beautiful, and yet so calming: his love for both was a bind he could never break.
And if he ever lost you, he’d never set sail again.
⎯ ✧ ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
NINGGUANG. paper rings
Tumblr media
Kiss her once and take her to an high-end dinner, kiss her twice with a diamond ring, three times if you book the most expensive wedding in Teyvat.
That’s what she expected from the thoughtless men and cheap women of this world. Because she liked shiny things, and diamonds were a girl’s best friend. Only price tags for a woman so bejeweled—only luxury for the leading lady of a nation. But when it was you… Oh, when it was you…
In plastic gifts, in picture frames, in paper rings, you were still the one she wanted. Several times, she’s been offered the most dazzling a of rings by businessmen and high class women for a life of luxury. And yet, the one time you jokingly folded her a little paper origami ring that was too big for her finger, she felt her heart flutter in ways that could only be described in poetry written by hopeless romantics.
She wore it for the day, even taping it down to be tighter on her wedding finger. She was even sad when the paper eventually ripped, as if this ring held more value than any other ring she was ever offered. Rings that cost millions, rings that were dug up from the deepest and most dangerous mining sites of Teyvat—still beat by a ring made from thin paper.
The entirety of riches and the entirety of the elite, all forever beat by her simple lover who gave simple gifts.
But she didn’t mind. If you got down on one knee now and proposed to her with another paper ring and the most modest of smiles on your face, she would say yes even quicker than a heartbeat. Her heart would flutter, her mind would blank, her body would break down into the happiest of sobs until she’s sinking into your arms.
If another person proposed to her now with promises much more expensive than yours—promises that would fulfill the dreams of wealth from her childhood—she knows she would say no, it was more than obvious to her now.
She wants all of you. All your companionship, your complications, your confessions; Because in her values, they were all priceless.
⎯ ✧ ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
THOMA. gold rush
Tumblr media
What must it be like to grow up consciously carefree?
What must it be like to grow up so beautiful, that you could have all of Inazuma trailing your footsteps for just a glance? To have both Kamisatos eyeing you, to be so carelessly happy even under the scrutinizing eyes of the elites—as if not even threats of losing your nobility could stop you from being such a fun-loving person. And even if you had pressure like that, you were still rolling as life went on, still with a smile that he so adored—
Thoma just slapped himself back into the real world.
Adoration? For someone so beautiful and so out of his reach? Really? He grumbled some scoldings to himself as he held the broomstick in one hand and his stinging cheek in the other.
He had such a stupid mind for daydreaming of such things; in fact, these thoughts weren’t even the worse of his colorful collection. Sometimes he’d think about what it would be like to actually be in love with you.
But they were such nice thoughts, really. Just the idea that he would get to see someone so gorgeous every day. He could imagine himself cooking up meals with all his love, taking care of your things just for you to return to him after your busy meetings to his adoring arms. And he’d do it all, really, anything to allow you to continue being so happy and so healthy while still remaining an Inazuman noble.
He just slapped himself again.
Who was he kidding? He didn’t have even the slightest of chances, not when everyone loved you, not when everyone wanted to be with you, and certainly not when everyone who admired you was at a better standing of nobility than he was.
You’re so easy to love… But he’s so easy to forget.
⎯ ✧ ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
LISA MINCI. tolerate it
Tumblr media
If your life was one of the books in this Favonius library, then perhaps she would only be a footnote on some random page in the middle.
Perhaps she should be glad at how aware she is, but the sense of awareness only made her more frustrated than before. Because awareness meant that she knew her place in your life ( or, the lack thereof ), and knowing her place meant that she willingly ignored all the signs that pointed her to turn away.
Your friendly smiles, your distracted looks, your mild toleration: they should have been enough to tell her you weren’t interested. You only smile at her as a friend, you look distracted when she speaks to you, and your toleration was probably the worse of all.
Toleration meant you’d continue to overlook her; Toleration meant that all these advances she made were fruitless. It would mean that every favor she did for you like a little library servant was just a waste of her time.
And yet, she still did them. She still delivered all the books you requested right to your study table in the library, plus even more books related to your topic. She still told you all the information she knew on details you requested, even if they took hours to explain. Worse, she still adored you enough to pipe up every time you called her name, just happy to hear it.
But maybe you were like Jean, and maybe you were like the rest of them—you just thought she was lazy. Maybe all these acts of services were just seen to you as a part of her job instead of sleeping during her hours all day. Perhaps it isn’t as big of a deal to you like it is to her.
Because when all you give her is a little friendly smile after she exerts her love and time to you, she feels defeated even more.

First things first, I'm somewhat bouncing off of the theory @crows-of-buckets posted about Neuvillette, mainly because they portray the imagery of the new Fontaine trailer so well and also, I feel like it's only right to mention them since it's their post that made me decide that I wanted to post my own theory. I should also note, their theory touches on Khaenria and Celestia. I will not as I'm not too familiar and this will just be focused and what I think the role he'll occupy will be, story-wise, and perhaps Fontaine's overall archon quest theme.
I'm going to recap some points made by crows-of-buckets first and then explain my view of the details given.
They mention that in the newest Fontaine trailer, Neuvillette during the scene where Neuvillette and Clorinde is walking down the hallway, he steps out of the shadows and the light reflecting onto him resembles prison bars.
Tumblr media
There is also the scene of Furina/Focalors wanting to see a real twist while holding the burning remains of a photo's borders in a way that frames Neuvillette.
Tumblr media
crows-of-buckets believe that Neuvillette will be imprisoned somehow. And I agree, but for different reasons.
I'm gonna take a step back before I continue. In every region we've visited so far in Teyvat, each archon had a right-hand in someway. What I mean by this, is there is a character who shares an element with the archon of their region, and helps the archon achieve their goals in one way or another. They also most likely have a high-ranking position of some kind.
So far there has been:
Venti - Jean
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Zhongli - Ningguang
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ei - Yae Miko
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nahida - Alhaitham
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jean is of high status in the Knights of Favonius as the Acting Grand Master, and helped Venti calm Devalin.
Ningguang is the Tianquan of the Liyue Qixing, and assisted in protecting Liyue so Zhongli could fulfill his final contract. (Assuming she knows his real identity, which I believe she does).
Yae Miko is the Head Priestess of the Grand Narukami Shrine, and used every trick up her sleeve to help Ei and end the Vision Hunt Decree.
Alhaitham is the Scribe of the Akedemiya, and was once Acting Grand Sage, and assisted in rescuing Nahida from the previous Grand Sage.
They all also assisted the traveler in their journey, one way or another.
To bring this full circle, Neuvillette is the Chief Justice of Fontaine, he most likely has a hydro vision (look at him) and he very clearly values what Focalors stands for.
With him (most likely) checking off all the boxes, this makes him Focalors's right hand.
We know in every region the traveler becomes a criminal or wanted individual somehow, so he most likely will be here as well, so why would Neuvillette assist the traveler as each right-hand before him has done?
He doesn't agree with Fontaine's legal system.
All of this is just personal speculation at this point, but I believe the story of the archon quest will have to do with what is considered justice in the eyes of the law and in the eyes of moral individuality, if that makes sense.
An example to explain my point would be:
"A woman stole an item from the store."
Justice in the eyes of the law would see her as guilty, because she broke the law, thus she is a sinner/criminal. But that's only on the surface.
See that woman was actually a single mother, she just barely makes enough to keep her home and maybe buy groceries. She can't produce enough milk for her infant child, so out of desperation she steals baby formula.
In the eyes of an individual, her actions make her just. Is she committing a crime? Yes, but it's to provide for someone who cannot provide for themselves, thus it is a commendable action.
A lot of the time, the ones who commit a crime are the only desperate individuals trying to survive the shitty hand they've been dealt. Trying to survive poverty, illness, unsafe homes, abuse, etc.
That's why I think Neuvillette will help the traveler, because he saw how the legal system is fatally flawed. That it works in only black and white and not in the shades of grey it actually is. That the legal system is unjustly persecuting the poor, ill, weak, etc.
Focalors is the God of Justice, but if Fontaine is unjust, then the right-hand will need to make it just.
I think at some point Neuvillette may become an antagonist to Focalors like how Yae Miko was to Ei. I also think, to make it interesting, that at first he was oblivious in some way but had his world view shattered. That's why he steps out of darkness and into prison bars, he goes from being free but being part of the problem, to risking imprisonment -potentially even being actually imprisoned- while trying to fix his mistakes. That's why I think he'll help the traveler, and that's what I think his role in the story will be.

chapter 1 : festival planning || not proofread, please correct me if i have made any mistakes about anything! 0.8k words
the usual afternoon filled with your brother and sister going around the city to do errands. this makes you wonder, what do you have to do? ayato handles government affairs, ayaka takes care of the internal and external affairs, how about you?
ayato told you to help out with ayaka if she asked for it, but so far, she hasn't said anything.
this becomes another day where you just walk around the estate, occasionally inazuma—to buy or greet people. you want to do something at least, to help with whatever's going on.
you pass by the grand narukami shrine and chinju forest on your way to the city, two of your favorite places to visit. not because of the people, more of the scenery.
the glowing flowers and clear water contrasts the warm lighting the lanterns provide in the forest and the dark colored torii gates. you remember the time you accidentally passed by your sister dancing for the traveler. you walk by a little further, and that's when you see the pink cherry blossoms of the city, just by seeing that scenery you can already hear the busy streets and chattering of the people.
you see foxes resting at the side, some of them even playing. you hear the sounds of metal clanking and the smell of miso ramen being prepared. you walked further and deeper into the city, to the second bridge filled with the cherry blossoms that fell from the trees. taking a turn and going to a more peaceful area, the teahouse.
you greet taroumaru with a head pat.
“thoma?”
“huh?”
then again, it's no shock thoma was here. there's food on the table, enough for four? five? people.
“f/n, you’re here earlier than usual.”
“oh.. right—i just wanted to go around inazuma for a bit.”
you welcomed yourself in the room and sat on one of the seats, directly facing thoma. he was using his left arm to support his head, his eyes wandering around the room.
“would you like some tea to pass by the time first then?”
“gladly, thank you. ayaka and ayato might take a while to get here, i haven't seen them at all around the city.”
he nods, then smiles. the sun from the windows reflecting on him, making his eyes shines. you feel your heart skip a beat, not from the door opening but from him, the man in front of you—putting tea in all of the cups.
“thoma, were here”
ayato goes in first, ayaka behind him. in just a few seconds your siblings started chatting away already, talking about whatever happened and everything you couldn't bother to pay attention to.
“oh, apologies we couldn't make it earlier, the upcoming festival kept me a little busy and ayato had to.. handle with some troublesome fatui.”
ayaka bows her head a little, a form of saying sorry.
“it's alright, i understand. the food isn't cold yet so dig in! ill prepare extras if you’d like.”
Tumblr media
it was already sunset when they finished eating, sure he could have prepared it at the estate but it was much closer to them if he cooked and prepared lunch at the teahouse. he also had chores to do here anyway and he knew you liked going to the city, it's convenient for everyone.
“speaking of, where is this being held anyway? what's it about?”
you ask, turning your head to ayaka, beside you.
“its being held on amakane island, are you going to join?”
“not sure. i'd like to go to a festival with someone this time, but i don't know who.”
ayato flashed a smirk to ayaka, are they scheming something?
“well, i still have work to wrap up. thank you for the food thoma, and ayaka—you know already”
your sister nodded and they both giggled.
“thoma, are you free next week?” ayaka asked, drinking some tea from her cup.
“im free—im guessing this is about the festival..”
she nodded. alright, im convinced shes planning something.
“alright. then, ill get going as well—thank you thoma, f/n, be careful on your way home.”
“mhm, goodluck on your work ayaka”
thoma waved her goodbye and started cleaning up our dishes. he picked them up and put it to a stack, walking towards the room behind taroumaru. i follow behind and stop by with the owner, leaning over to the door frame
“will you be going too? its getting quite late.”
he asked.
“no, i plan on staying a little longer outside.”
“then,” he wiped his hands on the towel beside the sink. he placed the clean plates on the rack and stretched his hand out to me.
“care to join me for a walk then?”
“of course.”
you both made your way outside, the sun painting inazuma in warm colors. many people greeted thoma hi’s and thank you’s, one even gave him some wine, but you know he isnt good with alcohol.
he gave the near dogs and cats some food he had left over and exited the city right after, following the path to chinju forest again, you’ve memorized the route already so its quite impossible for both of you to get lost.
the walk home was silent, not the awkward silent—more of the comfortable one. and that silence soon breaks with the question;
“should i get some clothes for next week?”

Illusory Palinopsia (6/6)
Fandom: Genshin Impact Pairing: Gen, Kamisato-Clan centric, could be read as thomato Warnings: Some made-up lore Summary: “This is what is going to happen. I will hold on to this talisman. You will find your Chief Retainer and deal with the traitor yourself. You will not let the Shogun do it for you. Do so, and I will destroy this evidence in front of your eyes. Fail to do so, and I doubt the clan you hold dear will be able to survive the resulting storm. Do not involve anyone who does not carry a vision, for they will not survive the fight. Do you understand?” “I understand,” Ayato said. “I will deal with this matter myself. Thank you for your kindness, Lady Guuji." Instead of satisfaction, the expression on Yae Miko’s face was one of stricken pity. “Oh, Ayato,” she said. “If you truly understood what I am asking of you, you would not call be calling this a kindness.” Part of the our homespun sanctuary series.
Chapter V
The Grand Narukami Shrine has always had a distinctive scent.
Not the scent of Sakura petals, which, by itself, was ubiquitous in Inazuma. Nor was it the humid smell of the pond beneath the shrine, glowing with an otherworldly light. No, it was the subtle tang of power running underneath, a reflection of the nation it safeguards. Once, it roiled with an undercurrent of darkness and misery; nowadays, it was a clean, sterile scent, reminiscent of home.
Ayato opened his eyes.
He was lying on a futon, in a room he recognized as one of the Shrine's guest quarters. To his side was Ayaka, slumped against his arm with her legs sprawled upon the tatami. Her hair had escaped from its usual ponytail, tangled in the ornaments on both their clothes. Her cheek was smushed against an abandoned piece of armor, and she was drooling, slightly.
If only the people of Inazuma could see their ever-graceful Shirasagi Himegimi now.
Wishing he had a Kamera, Ayato sat up and started to comb through her hair. The pale strands were still stained with grime, a testament to the hard battle she'd fought at his behest. Before he could think better of it, he allowed water to seep between his fingers. Carefully, he cleaned her hair as best as he could, flicking aside various bits of branches and congealed mud onto a corner of his futon. It's fine. The Guuji would forgive him. Probably.
Outside the window, the sun was starting to rise.
It didn't take long for Ayaka to wake, blinking sleepily as she took in the messy sprawl she had settled into. Ayato dropped his hand onto her head and mussed up her hair. "Good morning, little sister."
Ayaka rolled over, grabbing at her hair. "Did you get my hair wet again?"
"It's dirty."
"It's going to dry out weird. Oniisama, leave my hair alone."
A touch of frost was beginning to creep out under her fingers. Ayato chuckled. "That's alright," he said. "We can get Thoma to—"
Ayato paused, breath catching in his throat.
Ayaka lowered her hands, interrupting his train of thoughts. "Mondstadt is a bit far to go just to get my hair dried out," she said, wry. "Why did you let Lord Barbatos take him, oniisama?"
"Mondstadt is his homeland, you remember," Ayato said. "And Lord Barbatos doesn't seem to be pleased with our Archon. I don't wish to risk Thoma's life to some petty dispute between them. Returning him... is the best course of action."
Ayaka made a thoughtful noise. "I think he's angry because he thought the Shogun intended to punish Thoma," she said. "That was what I told him when we... left..."
Slowly, she wilted under the force of Ayato's raised eyebrow. "I didn't know he was the Anemo Archon at the time, oniisama..."
Ayato opened his mouth, but he was interrupted by the sound of approaching footsteps. Along with it, they could hear Yae Miko's irritated voice. "You may think yourself invincible, Ei, but none of us are immune to the pain of facing down a dear friend on a battlefield."
"That is not a good enough reason to bring a child into this," came the voice of the Raiden Shogun. "Protecting Inazuma from divine threats is my duty. Not his."
"He didn't go out of duty," Yae Miko said waspishly. "He went to save his friend. You were the one who put your quest on hold to save a housekeeper who's not even sworn to you. Quite a display of partiality from the impartial Shogun, if I do say so myself."
There were a few moments of silence. And then, Yae Miko spoke again.
"Ah, I see," she said. "Reminded you of yourself, did he?"
"Don't be ridiculous," said the Raiden Shogun. "If that is all, I'm leaving. Stop sending children to look after me."
Footsteps. Doors closing. And then, the sound of echoing thunder.
Ayato and Ayaka glanced at each other. In front of them, the doors to their room slid open.
"Heard that, did you?" Yae Miko said. "You. Kamisato the oldest. Do me a favor and visit the Tenshukaku as soon as you've recovered. Report on the state of the realm, while you're at it. If the Almighty Shogun has doubts about the maturity of her government, you can deal with it yourself."
"Surely, all of us will always be children before the endless wisdom of the Raiden Shogun," Ayato said, in the most neutral tone he could muster. The Guuji threw him a mildly scathing glare.
"You are several hundred years too young to be sassing either of us, you brat," she said. "Miss Ayaka, take this troublemaker out of my sight as soon as you can, would you?"
Ayaka giggled. "As you wish, Lady Guuji."
"Good girl," Yae Miko said. Then, she turned back to Ayato and took out a familiar talisman. "As promised."
Electricity sparked, and the delicate paper crumpled into dust. When nothing remained, Yae Miko nodded at him and turned to leave.
"Wait," Ayato said. "Lady Guuji, we owe you our gratitude."
Guuji Yae looked back at him. "I didn't do it for you," she said. "I sent you to spare my god from having to kill a mockery of her dear friend. I sent you to risk your life knowing that your retainer may have to die by your hand instead of the Shogun's. If you think that a kindness, commissioner, perhaps you are too young, still, for all the ambitions you hold."
Ayato considered her for a moment. Perhaps she was right. A more pragmatic man would have taken her actions for malice, but.
But.
"You gave me the chance to save him," Ayato said. "You allowed me time to find him with no interference from those who would've meant him harm. And the opportunity to be by his side, to grant him a peaceful end, should I have failed."
Unless Ayato was very much mistaken, Guuji Yae actually looked wrong-footed. Ayato bowed. "Thank you for your assistance, Lady Guuji."
Next to him, Ayaka, too, hurriedly bowed. "Thank you, Lady Guuji."
She nodded, ever-so-slightly. As she left, he could hear her sigh. "Humans," she huffed. "Always so inexplicable."

characters: ayaka, ayato, itto, thoma, yae miko, yoimiya
summary: what attending a festival with them is like.
warnings: none; itto’s leaked namecard below the cut!
note: i really didn’t mean to go so long without posting ;;; i’ve been trying to finish naruto and working on fics for that, i’m so sorry!!! please take some of the inazuma crew as an apology <33
Tumblr media Tumblr media
⋆ ayaka is excited, but nervous! you’d think she would know everything about festivals and how to celebrate, but she’s only ever been to the festival with the traveler.
⋆ very familiar with the textbook “rules” and customs, but inexperienced when it comes to the actual celebration. she can rattle off all the traditional activities, but when it comes to playing the games… please help her.
⋆ ayaka loves being around people! seeing children light up when they win a prize, couples laugh and share festive treats, or boys try to one-up each other in every game - all of it brings a smile to her face.
⋆ after your first festival together, she’ll stay up all night (or, at least later that night) thinking about the wonderful time she had. if you win her something, she’ll keep it next to her bed or fall asleep cuddling it.
⋆ she’ll also ramble to ayato the next morning about how amazing the festival was and recommend he attend the next one!
Tumblr media
⋆ ayato is hesitant, when you first bring up the idea. but, after a bit of convincing from yourself and thoma, he decides to go on the last day.
⋆ because it’s the last day of the festival, there’s a lot less people - however, the yashiro commissioner does not go unrecognized by the vendors and the few other attendees.
⋆ once you visit a few stalls and the “wow factor” dies down, he gets a lot more comfortable. he doesn’t play a lot of games, but he watches others play and celebrates with them! (he played one game just to win you a prize, though <3)
⋆ at the end of the night, he’ll take your hand and stroll through the street, admiring the colorful lights from the hanging lanterns. he’s relaxed, and you can see that the stress from politics hasn’t yet returned.
⋆ you remember how thoma helped convince him to attend? yeah, he just had to promise to play the hot pot game with ayato again. poor thoma, the festival food only gave him new ideas.
Tumblr media
⋆ you remember the competitive boys from ayaka’s headcanons? that’s itto. his competitive nature is only stirred up by the festivities.
⋆ wanna casually play a game? nope! you’re going to compete! who can scoop the most goldfish? who can get the most rings in ring toss? who can eat the most yakitori before getting sick?
⋆ your only salvation is that any prize itto wins, he gives to you. he pretends it’s all about competition, but he’s really just using it as an excuse to win you every prize at the festival. you should bring a bag.
⋆ as always, he loves the kids!! if he sees a child struggling at a (rigged) game, he’ll help them win the biggest prize! if he sees a kid eyeing a treat, he’ll buy out the entire cart! really, no gesture is too much.
⋆ by the time you head home, you have so many prizes and have eaten so much that itto has to carry everything, as well as you. you better sleep well, because you’re going again tomorrow.
Tumblr media
⋆ yae miko loves festivals, of course. as the guuji of grand narukami shrine, she is immensely pleased with the increased traffic around these times.
⋆ she doesn’t attend the festival herself, though. it’s much too noisy for her liking. she prefers to stay at the shrine, awarding blessings and greeting those who make the journey all the way from the city.
⋆ despite this, one thing she does like is the food - specifically, gohei mochi. if you bring her some when you visit the shrine, she’ll love you forever. really, it is that easy to win her affection. at least for the day.
⋆ a wonderful thing about mt. yougou is that it provides an excellent view of the firework show. when the sun begins to set and the visitors start to dwindle, miko will sit at the edge of the peak and watch the fireworks.
⋆ if you wear a kitsune mask around her, expect her to light up and comment on how cute you look. it’s just something she finds so incredibly endearing.
Tumblr media
⋆ thoma is perhaps the biggest fan of festivals, next to yoimiya, that is. being from mondstadt, the nation with plenty of wonderful festivals of its own, thoma loves attending them with you!
⋆ at first, he was a bit shocked at the difference in traditions. the nations of freedom and eternity celebrate things quite differently, after all. he quickly gets the hang of it, though.
⋆ be prepared to do everything, because thoma wants to play every game and try every food at least once. “we won’t get the full experience if we don’t!”, he says. it doesn’t matter if he loses a game or dislikes a food, it won’t stop him from running from booth-to-booth.
⋆ probably blushes until his cheeks burn the first time you win him a prize. after getting over his initial feelings of both embarrassment and delight, though, he won’t let go of it until you get home. in fact, he brags to everyone about how his partner is the best at whatever game you won.
⋆ offers to carry you home at the end of the night, since you did a lot of running around that day. you expected a piggyback ride, only for him to scoop you up in his arms (idc how big you are, he’s strong) and carry you close to his chest. the festivals in inazuma may be different from those in mondstadt, but with you at his side, he feels right at home.

⋆ yoimiya is the queen of the summer festival, of course she always attends them!! you better be able to keep up with her!
⋆ she always runs to the goldfish scooping first - at this point, it’s tradition. she has a giant tank at home that she puts her fish in after the festival. yes, they all have adorable names; there were two that really liked each other, so she named them after you and her.
⋆ probably gets dragged into competing with itto, either by the oni himself or the little kids insisting that she beat him to win their prizes back. win or lose, she’ll take you to her favorite food stall to celebrate the competition!
⋆ when the sun starts to set, no matter what you’re doing at the time, yoimiya will grab your hand and drag you to her favorite spot on amakane island. the fireworks are the best part of the festival, after all.
⋆ definitely loves cuddling while watching the show - just don’t try to steal her attention away. as the sky above inazuma city lights up, you can feel the joy radiating off of her. her favorite activity with her favorite person… yes, that is the best part.

@frostfeathered asked:  leaning in to press a light kiss upon the yaksha's cheek, knowing all too well he would shy away from the touch. ayaka doesn't mind so much, because the affection is purely platonic ( so she says to herself, anyway ) - but it is not easy to miss the care she has for him in her eyes. especially not when she presses a charm blessed at the grand narukami shrine in his hands. " for your protection in the upcoming year." ayaka whispers quietly, keeping hold of his hands longer than etiquette would allow. etiquette though, has no place here. " happy birthday, xiao."

The movement is automatic, a harsh reminder of how battle prone that he was. Yet, when he sees the quiet look of the Kamisoto princess, he will relax -- giving her a look over the strange action. Just slightly as he folds his hands over hers to tae the charm. Examining it as she speaks, he will quietly move to tie the charm at his belt -- hanging quietly as a reminder of the other’s care. Eyes flicker back toward Ayaka, and he would glance back -- noting his hand is still held.
He will hold the hand longer than he would admit, squeezing them gently with a nod.

“ ... Thank you. I will protect the charm as long as I can. “
