Sometimes I think about how my high school of ~100 kids per grade had such a different vibe than a lot of bigger ones. Yeah there was a lot of loyal "friend" groups and infighting and kicking people out drama, and don't get me started on the fighting-over-boys nastiness that I've witnessed, but people were generally pretty civil to each other otherwise. There wasn't that much bullying aside from a few cases of One Person Hates You because everyone's family knew each other on at least a surface level and we knew word would get around to Everyone. It was awfully funny tho, even me and the girl who Hated Me for like 3 years in middle school/early high school openly talked abt being civil just to not be miserable all the time at school

#tbh i think she and i were the epitome of 'neurodivergent hostility' bc jesus we just did not get along for like 3 years #she was so bossy and rude and liked picking on me #she did end up maturing and seeing the error of her ways. we were fine for the last two years of school #not friends exactly but we'd sit together on the bus sometimes. it was fine #there was one moment in particular in a cooking class when we all grouped up for the semester and she was the odd one out #and my group was just me and one of my besties and she looked at me like 🥺 and i was like '... fine.' #she was even nervous for a bit which was. satisfying. like she absolutely had realized how mean she'd been to me. #after that we were pretty much okay. we were bonded over making yummy recipes and being one of the best of the groups #and then being late to orchestra after bc it was across the school and the cooking classes had the highest chance of making you late #bc cleanup and all #god i miss all those cooking classes 🥺 they were so fun #i made a chocolate cheesecake with cherry topping for a final one year and everyone loved it soooo much 🥰 #i hope the boys that brought in a manual crank and made kettle corn for everyone are doing well

Also, I have a poor condition g1 a nuzzle and she’s so special to me. She was dirt cheap, all her hair is cut, dents and scratches all over her, pindots, dark marker spots, writing on her, faded symbol AND MORE and I decided not to restore her aside from a good washing. She was so much character, she’s been through so many adventures I could only speculate on. She’s so fucked up and I love her.

very pleased with how it WORKS though, even if the actual braid chunk needs more tweaking shape-wise. check it out, no need to worry about stretching it out super long if you want a longer braid. dont need to lop off the ends if you want a shorter one. it just goes along with the length of the curve :)

#that was sooo annoying to troubleshoot #i just made my damn braid chunk too big i needed to apply the scale #to make it smaller #so it would fit the length of the curve ♥ #there WILL be cleanup required after applying the modifiers like cleaning up the start and end #and possibly making the overall braid a little less uniform so it doesnt look so mechanical #but generally? big fan so far. #time saver! #and i got some ocs with some LONG fucking braids #so this is gonna be a great thing to get set up lol #i have to work on the texture too bc im using simmandy's textures #for my dev stuff atm #but there isnt really a great/convincing spot to map the braids on there #but its an easy enough fix probably #uh... braids are gonna be kinda rough to do ombres on but. maybe if you painstakingly re-map all the braid chunks after applying mods then #maybe itll work out #i dunno! #simoleon

the best thing about teaching toddlers is that the kids take a two hour nap in the middle of the day right after lunch and i get to spend most of that time doing nothing on my phone <3

#i spent part of it on my lunch hour today bc they went down while i was gone #and then i didnt have to do lunch time cleanup either #i just came back from my lunch hour a few minutes ago and they're literally going to be alseep for another hour and a half or two hours #and i just get sit sit here :) #usually there's some kinds of tasks to do during naptime but not today for me #but even when there's tasks its still basically an hour extra break after that #which is needed when working with kids tbh #anyway #i love getting paid to sit on the floor in the dark and scroll on my phone lol #so glad im done being horribly ill #if only this job paid better it would be the perfect job tbh #def going to start my own home daycare someday #its tiring but basically my job is to be fun and silly and make sure the kids are safe lol #also change diapers and wipe their noses all day long but its not that bad except for getting sick #i do change diapers when they start waking up from nap so i dont get the whole two hours off but still #its a very nice extra break

neo twewy is interesting because the climax of the story comes before the end of the gameplay + final boss. in og twewy the climax of the story wasn’t until after the final boss. neither game’s ultimate conflict is about having the physical strength or even courage to defeat a particular enemy. both of them are about the protagonists’ development and crucial character-defining decisions. the final bosses aren’t the story climaxes here- in the first game it was still part of the rising action, and in the second game it was actually already part of the falling action. that’s wild to me

ive been a little upset about it all night so i need to write out all the things that happened at work today and are bugging me so i can TRY to get it out of my head and actually RELAX bc i just keep pacing in circles around it instead of just accepting it and moving on

#for context i was working frying chicken today. ok so i arrive and literally all the chicken out expires within ten minutes of each other #meanwhile to remake everything takes about an hour 20 #tried my best to get everything out and replaced and make sure i have enough of everything and then take my break bc with chicken there are #few narrow windows to take your break in you have very little control over when it is #get back and while im getting ready for my next fry one of the assistant leaders comes back and passive aggressively asks 'everything ok?' #and when i say yeah shes starts saying how shes 'just checking' because apparently i didnt have enough chicken out for her liking and went #on about how we're in a chicken drive (I KNOW. I WORK CHICKEN SHE NEVER HAS.) #etc etc. i just say ok and she leaves #like 20 minutes later she comes fucking back to rag on me again about how i need to choose my break times better and i need to have more #chicken out there as back up (extremely difficult bc there is literally only so much room in the fryers. the batches i usually make already #nearly completely fill them up) blah blah and then when i try to explain how i WAS making pretty big batches people are just snatching them #up fast she keeps trying to walk out the door right away and keeps stopping and looking over her shoulder to just stare at me while i try t #finish my sentence #and she just. doesnt say anything in response when i do finish she just leaves #so clearly she didnt want a conversation she just wanted to rag on me #then later for cleanup the timing of everything just kept lining up inconveniently so i kept having to get in and out of raw cleaning gear #and slowing myself down and i end up having to stay almost 15 minutes late to finish cleaning #during cleaning i have to go grab a key to the back door to take out my trash and this one coworker i have was standing in the way of the #door. i say excuse me and she just stares at me and goes huh? #and i say i need a key and she barely moves out of the way without responding and she has a look like im bothering her #why are you acting like im being douchey. i just need a key. thats something she does a lot she acts like im inconveniencing her by asking #basic favors . ive stopped asking her to help me open the back door (sometimes needed if i also have raw garbage to take out and therefore #cant touch the key myself) for some reason she takes it upon herself to almost completely close the door after i walk out so when i come #back i have to awkwardly use my foot to reach around and pull the door open #ive asked her before not to do it and she just ignored me #GRAH GRAH. and then like i said in my last rb i realized while i was drivign home i forgot to wash a damn pan #im mostly worried about it because ive forgotten a couple times in the past too . in my defense its a pan i personally dont use but it just #gets left behind from first shift sometimes and then second shifters end up having to make sure its clean #im just irritateddd and im mad im worried about it all. its all little things piling up on each other #LOL I WROTE A LOT MORE BUT THE REST GOT CUT OUT IG I HIT A TAG LIMIT. tumblr voice ok dude quit your bitching !!

cringetober day 30 (halloween)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh my GOD i actually finished a full month prompt list for once!!!!!!!!! im so proud of myself!!!!!!!!! i drew my sonas in costume and then a halloween party featuring some of my ocs from the story in my head <3 yippeeeee now i can sleep-in (in the art department) for a month ^-^
