Forged by Exarchon and his loyalists following the Combatron War, the Ultimate Radical Convent, otherwise called the Ultracons, sought to begin a campaign in conquest, beginning with establishing a staging ground by conquering several systems.

Believing the Vehicon hordes to be inferior, Exarchon sought to create a new army in order to further his conquest. Capturing a Hot Spot and recruiting the “Immortal Geneticist” Ironspider to establish warforming facilities, Exarchon built Genericon armies and began his war.

The most prominent of his castes were the Air Warrior castes, based on a variety of air frames. Under the command of the twin Air Generals Quakewing and Skydread, these serves the bulk of Exarchon’s forces, multipurposing for air, space and ground combat.

The Battle Charger castes were a force built for scouting, sabotage and infiltration, designed on a compact frame made for quick ground travel. Under the command of Saboteur General Runriot, they had a reputation for subterfuge and indirect tactics, often destabilizing planetary societies to pave the way for invasion.

Every war needed resources, and the Insecticon Castes were purpose built for completely stripping worlds of them. They were based on the typical Insectoid Alt frames of the age, but heavily modified for the purpose of devouring any material and converting it into metal structures for Combatronian installations. Though under the command of Harvester General Pestilent, their natural hunger made them difficult to control.

Built from the best design functions of both the Air Warrior and Battlechargers castes, the War Charger castes served as the heavies of the Ultracons, acting as self-deploying artillery units. Commanded by Destroyer General Doomshot, when one appeared on the battlefield you knew you were in trouble.

When the so-called War of the Threefold Spark ended, the majority of the installations were shut down and many Ultracons were sent to the Garrus facilities, and though Exarchon was believed dead, there were those that feared that he might’ve escaped into a new, unknown vessel and lived on…

Meanwhile, many of the body-types developed by Exarchon and Ironspider later somehow ended up conveniently in the hands of the "Your Choice" conglomerate, being reworked into the foundational body-type sold by their subsidiary, Re-Form Fitters.
