Life

Life has its ups and downs!!!!

Being away from home you have a lot of decisions to make without really having guidance from others. It makes you more independent. I cant just run home every time Im scared, dont know what to do, or just miss home.

The reality is unless you have lived in a completely different country people do not understand the emotions that you go through on a week to week basis. Last week was hard. I hit a car with my bike and flew off, it hurt terribly bad. I really hadnt acknowledged that it happened until I was talking to my parents. There is something about talking to your parents that makes your heart melt. I told them what happened and I could hear that they were distraught, that it pained them to know that I was in pain and that they could not help me. To hear their love from the phone made me realize how loved I was. It made me cry.

Of course my parents asked me if I was ready to come home, this is just a normal question especially for parents I assume. I wiped my tears and said I am not a quitter....I do not quit.....I refuse to quit....I have a sign in my room that says, "pain is temporary, quitting is forever." All these emotions will subside.

Do not get me wrong my life is amazing. The restaurants, the clubs, the people you meet, I love my job but youre doing it alone or with people that you have only met here.

I am very thankful for the group of friends that I have found. There is something about moving to a different country that brings people together. So of course you bond very fast since you know exactly what the other person is going through.
