HELLOOO!!! I really love how you designed Hermes a lot!!! He looks so mysterious and somebody you wouldn't want to cross with when trading lol. Idk how to ask this properly but what made you want him to be cover in shadows? Like is just for fashion sense/choice or is there headcanons/lore for this? If you domt know how to answer this thats fine Im just here just enjoying your design so much [insert Hermes laugh] hahahahahahaha!! ^o^

HELLOOO!!! :D

So I use a lot of different factors for inspiration when designing the Greek gods. For Hermes, I really wanted to highlight his role as the god of thievery and travelers, which I think is such an interesting aspect of his character. He reflects what it means to be a pilgrim but also an outlaw in the wilderness. He is pretty much the personification of the stranger you meet across the street. But he is also the stranger who asks you for hospitality and refuge, and he is the host and protector of the home from thieves and burglars. He is the coin and he is BOTH sides!

My first step was to make him look like a traveler with a coat and hat. AND I LOOOOOVE characters that have a simple body silhouette with a big wide hat. Snufkin from Moomin and even La Muerte from The Book of Life were huge inspirations!

However, I initially designed him without a shadow, so he had a face and all, and I drew him with different hairstyles and even experimented with whether he was going to have wings on his head or not. Like this! Here are some dumb scrapped sketches XD

But I also really liked how the Epic fandom pretty much unanimously decided that Hermes' eyes were always covered with a shadow. So I started to just fill in the shadow like in the final design. And that helped reinforce the idea of him being "the stranger." You don't know who it is until you come up close!

One thing, though, that I am a little bit bummed about with his design is that it doesn't really fit the vibe of the song "Wouldn't You Like." Yeah, he does bring out the same energy with his creepy smile, but oh well! I do have some ideas that he may "flash" himself and even remove his hat, because if he's gonna dance...? That hat will fly off!!

You know how micte is the goddess of death? There's a species of a mysterious and feared dragon that is called (said to be) the "offspring of lightning and death itself". These are known as night furies. Do you know about night furies? Is there something you wanna talk about?

Yes, indeed, my sister Lady Micte was the goddess of death. The reason she was, is because we as goddesses were assigned a title to follow, Micte's labor was to be the goddess of death; I inherited the Land of the Remembered from our mother and my sister, La Noche, inherited the Land of the Unknown from our father.

The rest of my sisters are also in charge of other tasks as goddesses.

And about the night furies, I have heard about them, I remember that Micte was in charge of guarding those; but since her death, La Noche took charge of doing it and now they live in the Land of the Unknown.

I couldn't tell you more about these creatures, but if you want to know more about them, I recommend that you ask my sister, La Noche.

I'm sure she can give you all the information you want.

Hola! I know it's been a long time since I last wrote a blog dedicated to Helluva Boss or The Book of Life fanfics and headcannons.

The reason I haven't uploaded content recently is because very strong situations have happened in my personal life, I left my university shortly after writing the headcannons blog about Striker, and I have had confidence issues when writing.

I wrote a Striker x Singer special! Reader for Valentine's Day, but I didn't think it was good enough, I'm writing a fanfic of La Muerte x Cowboy! Reader and maybe I'll upload them and then finish writing the asks you sent me.

I would also like to say that when you see the message button it says "Resquests Closed" Please respect that. Because they have been sending me requests even when the sign is closed, please respect that.

There was also someone who requested an Ozzie x Fizz fanfic, don't get me wrong I love those characters and I'm definitely going to write your request for them, but for everyone else please respect my rules blog where the only character I write Helluva Boss content is Striker; so please, unless I authorized it in my rules blog, do not send me requests for characters that are not on my list that I want to write.

And finally, thank you very much for all the support I have received, I never thought that my fanfics and my ideas could be liked by so many people on Tumblr. New character for TBOL Future! She’s now known as the Candle Killer, she is the one who gives the dead souls a peaceful place to rest instead of next to souls that are still alive. She can also decide whether it is someone’s time to live again or to fully perish. Quick deaths cause her so much dread because she can’t give them that sliver of hope to live, but as for slower deaths, they have a chance, and she’s willing to give them that chance if they aren’t too far gone. If they are, she unfortunately has to put them to rest. If they do have a chance, she lifts them up and they appear at the Candle Makers cave (decided to name him Carmelian). She’s only discovered when Manolos and Marias child is 5 years old.

who is/are your comfort character(s)?

I have a LOT of comfort characters. Mordecai Heller (Lackadaisy) is one of them, mainly because of how I perceive him as a character. No I do not ship myself with him, but I see him more as a big-brother figure. It sounds silly, but when I write my personal Lackadaisy fics (the ones I don't post) it's just a big brother/little sister thing. It'll likely NEVER happen, but one can dream. I also consider Double Trouble (She Ra) as a comfort character, mainly because of shape shifting and non binary representation. Revali (TLoZ: BotW) was my comfort character since 2017. He's a dick, but I love him <3 I also consider Serafine and Nico Savoy, Cala Maria, Roxanne Wolf, Xibalba and La Muerte, and even Discord and Queen Chrysalis as comfort characters too, because I have either known them the longest, or truly take a liking to them.

Both! Sometimes I say soda, but once in a while I'll say pop. My mom says pop, too. I get it from her :)

Oooooooo damnit this is hard. I love Elf because it reminds me of my dad. I also love the Nightmare Before Christmas because of my mom. The Book of Life is also a really good holiday movie, for getting into Dia De Los Muertos. I also enjoy Christmas Vacation because of both parents!
