Radioapple Tangled AU
When Alastor first arrived in Hell, he immediately had a kind of power nobody in Hell had seen before, and that catches the attention of Roo (you can say Lilith and she went to get milk like Gothel did with Cassandra, but I'm picking Roo). Roo swoops up on Alastor before he can properly explore where he is, and immediately clocks that he is a mother's boy. That, and his mother died a long time ago. Roo pretends to be Alastor's mother, altering herself as necessary and uses his own memories against him to make it more believable, and ushers him away into a tower where they can be safe. Alastor doesn't know how to feel about this, but he follows along because he is already disoriented from having been shot in the head, and this is his mother...right?? Everything would be okay if this was his mother.
Years pass, and Roo keeps Alastor up in a tower in the outskirts of Hell, so she can learn more about his powers and how to use them for herself. She wants to make a deal for his soul, but right now she managed to successfully convince him she is his mother, and that alone gives her the power of being the only person in existence who can successfully manipulate him. Her explanation for keeping Alastor hidden likely involved that manipulation, because Alastor's too murder-happy to take "there are bad people out there" to any kind of merit.
But Roo gets cocky, and when she leaves for a bit longer than usual, Alastor takes that as his chance to escape and explore this new land for himself. He never wanted to trouble his poor mother, but if she was going to be gone anyway, there was nothing stopping him from finally seeing this place for himself and having some fun, as long as he got back before his mother returned.
Enter Lucifer, who has been having a difficult time since the divorce with Lilith and decided to clear his head by flying around Hell for the first time in decades. That's when he comes across the tower hidden under layers and layers of concealment spells and decides to investigate, only to get immediately knocked out with a frying pan courtesy of Alastor's shadow.
They eventually have a proper conversation, that Alastor wants out, and he found something in Lucifer's bag as leverage. Lucifer decides to roll with that as the reason he agrees to help Alastor, but actually he's just lonely and he is actually really curious about the power Alastor clearly has had for a while but doesn't know how to use fully. Who is this mother he keeps mentioning? How was she powerful enough to have hidden this place so thoroughly?
So the two go on an adventure together, but it isn't wrong before Roo decides to check on Alastor early and finds him gone. She has to find him and get Alastor back before he learns enough to figure out the truth about her, and she is willing to kill even Lucifer to do it.
