i actually have been more into ml/ladynoir since september than i have been in a long time. i took a very big step back from fandom and posting and it really helped me reignite my love for ml and also remember all the things i enjoy doing when im not worried about what people think of me and whether i need to get new art out soon etc etc. ive always been very mindful of my relationship with social media but the ml fandom has definitely been one of the most. Intense social media experiences i've had compared to the others that ive been in, and there was a point where i was like. ok. maybe this isn't good for me anymore

i'm trying to be very careful about the way i post on tumblr/twitter these days, as well as the people i interact with in the fandom. i still want to be on here from time to time but i think it's important that i remind myself that my creations and my thoughts are first and foremost mine and that when i sit down to write a fic or to draw or something, it doesn't have to be crafted and polished specifically to be shared online. ♥♥♥ but yes i am still into ladynoir, more so than i have been in a long time 🥺🥺🥺 i love them so much

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with a little wake up call. They are just some guys that stream and make videos. You’d think the last few Situations™ would teach people to simply not put cc’s on pedestals and expect perfection from them. But you must realize that if you’re going to argue against people giving cc’s money, then you need to go all the way back to every single sub and donation they’ve gotten through twitch as well. It’s always been a luxury some choose to do because they get something out of it. They were never forced or tricked into doing it. And I don’t know how the Sapnap billboard was funded, but I donated to the George b-day billboard. Gave up $5 because I thought it was a fun community idea, and it did not impact my ability to donate or buy things I needed. It doesn’t need to be any more complicated than that. It’s not a streamer's fault that you chose to spend money on them instead of donating.

If you’re upset by the lack of content, then entertain yourself with something else. People have been saying that for ages. If you think their intention is to continue promising content and never delivering just to squeeze money out of fans, then leave. I personally don’t believe that.

Dream believes he does owe us content, but we don’t get to decide when it comes. And you don’t have to give them a dime for it.

Yeah, a few! Took me a bit to get to this sorry about that—

He’s a bird whisperer! He can understand Sheerow very well, and generally is just really good with birds. They also like him a fair amount too :3

He and Link (or Legend for lu) have a lot of similar mannerisms and it’s really weird for Link when he first meets Ravio because um. Why do they scratch their noses the same way??

Adding to that they also do some funny twin stuff like say words at the same time and finish each other sentences, but that only starts happening near the end of albw when they know each other a bit better. It’s still really weird for Link tho (and Ravio)

He’s known Hilda for a long time, and watching her grow more and more desperate to save their world and Yuga more or less corrupt her over time really wrecked him

That being said though he does really admire her love for their home. It matches his own, as messed up and falling apart as it is... it’s still his home. And he loves it. (though Hyrule is pretty amazing, all that life...)

I can’t remember if this is canon or not (I don’t think it is) but I like him having a little gap between his front teeth, it adds to the bunny thing :>

i think a lot of people don’t always realize the difference between “this is how i interpret canon” and “this is how i want to write it because that’s what’s fun to me”. a lot of times the latter is all headcanons or AUs are, not an indication of what the writer thinks “is” or “should be” canon

more power to those who are super tuned into actual canon and know these details like the back of their hand, but sometimes people just wanna use a series as a sandbox, not a ruleset. genuinely nothing but respect for people who ARE that knowledgeable, but i and a lot of other people are just here to have fun with characters we enjoy—and want to put them in more accessible settings

I had to think about this for a couple of days because I hadn't really considered if I even had headcanons for him, though I have some things in mind

One is that the Dave BruBot that explodes in phase 1 is a double stunt who replaces the original Dave somewhere in the latter part of it the second you look away, somehow

In regards of ethnicity he could be somewhere on the spectrum of being afro-american. Considering how jazz, blues and disco originated from black culture I feel like it would fit him quite well. I got the idea of this headcanon from this one human Dave fanart I saw which got me thinking "Oh, that is neat actually". Maybe he's got a side of latino to him too with how he speaks some spanish with confidence in his dialogue

The nonbinary!arya takes with Arya’s “i’m not a lady” quote makes no sense to me. I honestly don’t mind a single hc about any of the starklings’ sexuality or gender identity- but then the way Arya’s feminity is constantly brought into question irks me. See my issue with takes like this will always be that this fandom is obsessed with removing Arya from her girlhood. So while I don't see anything inherently wrong with having the headcanon, most of the time it's coming from the perspective that her being a non-conforming girl in a strict patriarchal society makes her less of a girl. People think they're being progressive and "open" by having this opinion but, like you said, Arya is firmly rooted in her identity as a girl and corrects people on multiple occasions. Like...okay? You think a character constantly masculinized and belittled by fandom for not being a conforming female character is non-binary, congratulations? Meanwhile, female characters who actually toe the line with gender aren't getting the same treatment cause they're either considered too "feminine" or they're associated romantically with a man. It's just so forced, and I'm tired of non-conforming female characters being treated like they're lesser women.

I think the first few mdzs chapters made me believe 'jc and wwx are literal adopted siblings'. Ppl reccing mdzs on my tl referred to them as such too and the fantl I read (one of the earlier ExR versions) said in prologue something like 'it was his sect leader and adopted brother, jiang cheng, who killed him'. Afterwards when wwx overheard ppl discussing wwx and jc's relationship it cemented my belief. Wwx was taken in by jc's parents so voila they're brothers.

It was my first time reading cn novel as a westerner so I had no idea that sect siblings, martial brothers and sisters are very different things from actual 'siblings'

As I was finishing the novel I had some doubts but it was later, upon my reread once I was more educated that I changed my opinion. I now view them more as a young master&servant of sorts relationship and/or slightly unequal little toxic friendship. Further underlined that none of the Jiang parents actually considered wwx their child in any sense of the word. A "foster ward" would be the most familial word I'd use if pressed.

That is not to say their relationship wouldn't feel incredibly sibling-like for some people who grew up in similar relationships and applied hefty dose of projection.

However back then it used to be bad to say you don't think of them as siblings on tumblr bc it meant you think adoptive siblings aren't real siblings or you're somehow against wangxian and think wwx and jyl or jc should kiss and that's a crime (yeah idk either weird times) XD

Do you know what John's hang ups about not being good about playing with kids was about? Like the Kyoko tape sounds adorable, and so do the the audios with Sean that are around, and even that moment in GB where he's joking with Heather about eating kittens. I don't at all get the sense of a man bad at hanging around with and entertaining children in the slightest.

I can't help but wonder if it was because he had some idea of how a dad "should" be that he felt he couldn't live up to because he didn't have one around. But then Paul also mentions in MYFN iirc that John couldn't play with kids, so I guess it wasn't just in his head, but I don't get it.

I think it might have just been one of the stories you start telling yourself and that sticks, or like you said he thought he should be able to do a certain kind of play that he found difficult to do. I do think he we can see that he was able to be fun with kids and doing a lot of goods things like we see with the tapes, playing guitar with them, teaching them swimming, riding bikes, flying paper planes, making drawings, taking Julian picking flowers in the garden for Cyn, or just being in idiot with kids like Julian said. So, maybe he thought that his way of hanging wasn’t really considered play? "I'm not a daddy with a set of bricks to play with. When I'm with the kids, they just come along with me and be with me, whatever I'm doing."And then I guess he knew that he didn’t have the patience, the endurance for constant repetition, or the will to put a child's needs first all the time, but those probably more blended into his uncertainty of fatherhood than a question of being entertaining with kids. I think it's in Giuliano, but definitely someone talking about the diaries, where there's a lot on John reading parental guides and trying different techniques and feeling frustrated, when he doesn't feel like they are working. In that context it definitely sounds like John thought there was a manual and a correct way to be a father and that he instinctively was doing it wrong.

But yes, I've became kind of sus(?) of doctors now. I have a lot of things I could tell, like when this newly appointed doctor gave her first med to her own grandma - which is a family's friend - and I turned pale after hearing what drug she gave her.
