Dear artists, please
SIGN YOUR ART
Put the whole nickname, slap your watermark on, I begging you, I need to find you somehow, you are the author, be proud of that and show me IT WAS YOU who made this piece of art
Your name, or your silly url or just doodle that looks like boiled ice cream, it doesn't matter just SIGN IT

One of the funniest interactions I've had as an artist was the time someone who only knew me peripherally online said something to the effect of, "Strange question but. Your art style reminds me of (a different user on that site). Do you know them?"
And I answered, "Yes, it makes sense that our art has some similarities, as our mother taught both of us how to draw."
Apparently, she used some of the same forums as us, but since they didn't overlap and neither of us ever mentioned having a sister... That being said, looking at our styles I'm surprised she made a connection at all.

I'm really annoyed because I want to be writing, but the RSI I have in my wrists is acting up too much. It's painful to type or write with a pen. And I can't even work on visual art instead, because that all hurts my wrists, too.

Hi!
Sorry for posting nothing. I'm really happy to see your feedback, it's really important for me. Thank you! I want to post something on Valentine Day (about newcob's love, of course), but I can't promise much.
Twink blonde cat in a pineapple shirt for your attention.

Well, i know nothing about how to draw difficult forms in perspecture and i started art with a lot of items in perspecture. Genius. And this is so disappointing, because i just can't do it right, i can't understand all this laws of constructing by my own. I guess, that i should rethink my idea with Thomas in some more decorative way and... Start another art, because my sheet is a mess now full of erased pencil traces. It looked much more easier on sketch... And i'm upset, because body was drawn very attractive and volumetric.
I know, that all the artist's are different. And it doesn't mean that you're bad in art if you don't know how to make some things, but... I just want to be better in things i'm doing. I want to draw beatiful idea if i have one... It is a torture if you can't... Because good ideas isn' t just come to you so easy as it may seems.

I found a mini comic I made while I was working on the layout phase of my comic! Many of my original sketches were, ah, quite bad.
In other news, not much to report other than progress. :)

I always hated the one time I tried to have an art trade, I gave them fully rendered art and then was given a traced Sashley image.. Idk if I wanna try to do an art-trade again cause they look so fun but I get the worst people to trade with.. ;w;-

Facing fandom burnout?
It is okay to take a break from something you love. It is okay to step back for an hour, a day, a week, a month, a year... whatever you need. It will still be there when you have taken care of yourself. Most people understand this, but if they don't it is not your job to dive back in for them.
Sometimes you just need to try a different medium, watch a different show, pick up a hobby you haven't done in a while, anything to break the unhealthy pressure we put on ourselves. We do what we love for free and give of our time, energy, and creativity for what amounts to a hobby. (but in what other hobby do we end up chasing someone else's expectations so much?) Sure, kudos and likes give us a serotonin boost, but it is chasing the runners' high. We will have off days. We will have days when the words won't come, your muse whacks you between the eyes with two or three new ideas when you really should be working on a WIP, the pencil keeps breaking, the tablet battery dies... there will be days when you just need to detox and that is okay! Give your brain a rest. Don't be afraid to let it idle. I promise you will feel better for the break.

I love looking at other people's art and it often inspires me to try new things. If you're an artist yourself, you probably know that moment of seeing a great drawing and going: "I want to draw like that!!!" And it just keeps happening with the most different styles until you don't even know what you want anymore!
In the end, I try to stay consistent and make small changes to my style that I feel make most sense, but the struggle of wanting everything at once is still real...

I've been thinking about retiring this print run from my Artist's Alley table for a long time and now that it's ten years old I think it's time to do so. The problem becomes that leaves eleven spaces empty in the print book and I'm not sure what to replace them with. The logical thing to do would be to draw a new print series, but that would have to be saleable and with my current fandoms I don't know what would be A) well received and B) not legally dicey. Is there anything I've drawn in the past five years or so that you'd be willing to pay $3-$5 to have a copy of? Should I focus on drawing new things, and if so what?
