{ Florence Diaries, part 2 } . The Archaeological Museum is stunning. It's HUGE and CHEAP and totally underestimated. I was on my own, few people around, I was free to stop and draw. Though of course Etruscans are the main stars of the place, there are a lot of Greek and Roman artifacts. I do not include here five pages of my sketchbook full of vases and notes (they are rough and I don't have much time to refine them). I may or may not have cried before the François vase, you'll never know (it is SO beautiful. T.T). And the visited tour of the garden and of the reconstructed Etruscan graves, in the shaded of a 500-y.-o. Yew tree was wonderful. Needless to say that I wasn't anle to do any justice to the Chimæra. But it felt a little like being a XIX century romantic artist in the middle of the Grand Tour 😎. . . . #sketch #sketchbook #archaeology #archaeologicalmuseum #florence #museum #visitflorence #florencediaries #etruscan #greekvase #stylized #drawing #doodle #redpencil #pencilart #redpencilsketch #arthistory #traditionalart #traditionaldrawing #creatures #animals #animaldrawing (presso Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Firenze)
#sardinia #sardegna #italy #italia #sardegna #paesi #archeologia #archéologie #arkeo #archaeologyiscool #archaeologylovers #archaeologie #archaeologicalmuseum #archaeologymuseum #sardinians #mater #mother #dee #female #mothergoddess #celtictattoo #shaman #symbols #stones #figure #ritual #death #graves #otherlife #spirits #spiritual #god (presso Sardegna, Italia) https://www.instagram.com/p/ByxZhtuo0td/?igshid=ppge6tph2oyf
Keren banget 😍 Reposted from @ancientarcheology - @ancientarcheology #AbuSimbel #temple is the most famous temple of ancient Egypt, carved out of solid rock cliff into a mountainside. Located in Southern Egypt on the west bank of the Nile in a land of Nubia south of Aswan between the first and second cataracts of the Nile. It was built by King Ramses II, the construction started around 1244 B.C to around 1224 B.C. He chose this site because it was sacred to Hathor of Absek, goddess of motherhood, joy, and love Abu Simbel temple consists of two main temples, the great temple, and the small temple. The complex took twenty years to be finished, the scholars believe that Ramses built the two temple to celebrate his victory over the #Hittites at the Battle of Kadesh in 1274 B.C to confirm this victory in the memory of the people and to intimidate the Nubian tribe, who threaten #Egypt safety in the past. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ #antiktarih #arkeoloji #arkeolog #sanattarihi #müze #archéologie #arqueología #archeologia #archaeologylife #archeology #archaeology #archaeologist #archaeological #tesori_italiani #karnak #archaeologicalmuseum #archäologie #egyptian #karnaktemple #temple #ancientegypt #ancientegyptian #egyptiantemple - #regrann https://www.instagram.com/p/BvxvAZRAGUuD_DxBmww2rhLhM19t_3vu9dGMyc0/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1f7yncxmbuu0j
Earring with a dove hanging from a disc, which is surmounted by a stylized crown of an Egyptian god composed of a sun disc surmounted by two feathers. At the sides of the sun disc, vine scrolls replace the more usual grain. The dove stands on an altar decorated with garlands. The surface of the dove is covered with beads of gold granulation, colorful stones, and glass paste. Hellenistic Period, 150-100 B.C. _____ @arkeoveyasam @archeobilgi @sanatvearkeoloji @arkeotarih @arkeomitos #antiktarih #arkeoloji #arkeolog #sanattarihi #sanateseri #helenistikdönem #hellenistic #ancientjewelry #ancientgreek #archeologia #museumoffinearts #archaeologicalmuseum #archaeologylife #archaeologist #tesori_italiani #Repost @antiktarih • • • • • https://www.instagram.com/p/Btgy3xUh4lG/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=66fvsluhuewb
