ARAHIKA IS MY LIFE
Who said “I love you” first: Arata probably did but Hikari didn’t understand it.
Who would have the other’s picture as their phone background: Arata. He has the whole family.
Who leaves notes written in fog on the bathroom mirror: Hikari, with cute bunnies. Sometimes she lets Touka and Ayato draw them as well and they leave messages for Daddy.
Who buys the other cheesy gifts: Arata. He’s a hopeless romantic.
Who initiated the first kiss: Hikari (see Touken for reference)
Who kisses the other awake in the morning: Arata. He loves his wife so much.
Who starts tickle fights: ... Touka and Ayato (with Hikari masterminding). Mainly Touka though.
Who asks who if they can join the other in the shower: Arata. Hikari is like “Bitch out of the way I’m coming in as well.”
Who surprises the other in the middle of the day at work with lunch: Arata. He cooked it at home along with Touka as Ayato whined about how much it was a bother.
Who was nervous and shy on the first date: Arata because oh my god she’s doing things that is making me so embarassed.
Who kills/takes out the spiders: Hikari, with Touka’s help, as Arata, Renji and Ayato cower under the couch.
Who loudly proclaims their love when they’re drunk: Hikari. She is a loud drunk. Louder than usual.

Just Hold On [AraHika]
IF IT ALLLLL GOESS WRONNNGG BABY JUST HOOLDDD ONNNN
gosh the lyrics for this one are so abstract IM JUST GOING TO HAVE TO...WING IT, (please dont kill me kiyo)
Just Hold On by Steve Aoki and Louis Tomlinson!! arahika requested by kiyo :9
(also notice how “louis” in the album cover of the song literally just looks like harry styles instead) (I HAD DIRECTIONER ROOMMATES I WAS INFLUENCED)
((i think i went with an rpg au with this one??? IDK))
Hikaru supposes they tried their best.
Their land is at peace again, but there is still a lot to do. There are deceased to mourn, ruined buildings to clean, peace treaties to be signed, and much, much more.
But tonight, the night the final battle took place, is a night of resting.
Hikaru has always waited for this day to come. The day the Dark Lord is finally defeated, and they can live happy again. But the assassin didn’t think that it would be like this.
The people are joyful, yes, but they are also subdued. Calm. Quiet.
He used to expect bonfires, festivities, and vibrant life, but the people... they’re just hugging friends and family and crying tears of relief, completely grateful that they are no longer under the influence of the dark.
Climbing up the last steps of the hill that overlooks the city and its grandness, Hikaru finds exactly what he’s looking for.
Rather, who.
Sena Arata, the hero.
The redhead seems to not notice him, or pretending not to, as he continues to gaze upon the stars, his legs swinging back and forth over the cliff.
Hikaru watches the moonlight encompass the idiotic redhead that saved them all like a silver blanket of magic, before he nestles himself right beside him.
Casually, without a single twinge of hesitance, the blond entwines their fingers together, and rests his head upon the other’s shoulder.
Arata doesn’t say anything, but he welcomes the touch by leaning into Hikaru as well, breathing deeply as he does so.
It feels like the silence stretched all the way to the moon before the redhead finally speaks.
“We lost a lot of good people today.” Arata whispers, his eyes still on the stars.
“We did.” Hikaru replies, just as softly.
Silence again.
“What are you going to do now that all of this is over?” Arata asks.
“I don’t know...” He answers truthfully. What is there to do when all your life you have been trained for this moment, but then a hero comes along and takes all the glory?
Arata tightens his fingers around Hikaru’s. He turns his head towards the blond, his mouth pressed into a thin line. Hikaru sees something in the other’s violet eyes, and he understands.
They lean into each other, their lips meeting, and they both know that they can figure out their future together if they just hold on.

V and A
V - Which character do you relate to most?
Hmm..... That’s a hard question. I’ve always found myself relating to some characters more or less, but which one do I relate the most to...? Maybe to Yotsuba/Clover from Zero Escape. I always tend to be cheerful but I sometimes distrust people for no reason other than not knowing them, and I can get very emotional whenever anything happens.
A - Ships that you currently like a lot. (They don’t have to be OTPs because not everyone has OTPs.) Friendships, pairings, threesomes, etc. are allowed.
Cough. Takuten (the fuckin’ 5 years old otp), Banhiro, Pegoryu, Arahika, Naegami, Junpei/Akane/Carlos OT3 from Zero Escape, Justicykes... This list is getting too long so I’m leaving it here.

Hey, could you do a Tasugao character relationship thing like you did with arahika. If you don't know who they are then nvm.
Oh, don’t worry, I do know them. It’s just that, this is Danball Senki-centric blog, and I don’t really see a reason for me to write a character relationship essay between Tasuku and Gao who are from a different show entirely. Maybe you can try asking someone else? Sorry!

Hikari and Arata first encounters.
Characters/Pairing: Kirishima Arata, Kirishima Hikari, Arahika, Hikarata.
Words: 690~
Her ear caught even the smallest sound and she turned her head with eyes glowing red, aiming at the dark figure walking towards her direction. She cursed underneath her breath -- one thing she hate the most is being interrupted.
Especially during her feeding time.
She hide behind the shadow of the building, gritting her teeth as she wipe the side of her stained mouth. Her nose manage to identify his scent, and hissed.
So annoying.
Hikari notice his head turning in every direction, taking small steps as he walked. It was odd, his scent doesn’t match with what he’s doing. He’s a ghoul, isn’t it ?
Why does he look so timid -- and nervous ?
Hikari purposely step on the pile of trash, it clattered and his head shoot up -- alert but doesn’t do anything except looking back behind him, and continue walking.
What a weird man.
Then again -- it’s an easy prey.
Hikari didn’t wait, she jumped at him, wings beautiful spread as she rain down her crystal shards. She heard gasp and he jumped back. She have to admit that his reflexes were pretty good. He manage to dodge her attack with a just a small scratch on his cheek.
“Impressive.” she said. He didn’t move, much less fight back but his eyes was fixed on her. She saw a glint of sparkles in his eyes and find it irritating.
“What are you looking at ?”
He fidget, quickly scrambling his thoughts, “Err -- I --”
“You’re annoying.”
She stabbed him.
--and pull away her kagune, letting it disappear as she watch him fall down on his knee. Hikari roll her eyes, pathetic. He should’ve fight back -- he should’ve fight her. She hates weaklings like him.
“Are you done moaning into the ground ?”
He lift his head, looking up at her and he managed a small chuckled. Hikari grit her teeth, “What’s so funny, bastard ?”
“I--I’m sorry for disturbing you -- but -- I was just passing by.” He give her a gentle smile and she stared down at him in shocked -- passing by ? Her eyes darted on his side, a small package that was ripped and a book peaking through it.
Oh.
“Uhh -- Can you please -- help me ?” he asked and something inside her, shaken.
Why are you so nice to me ?
Such person -- doesn’t exist anymore.
:::
She patched him up in his house -- not finding it odd that he was living alone. His house were pretty small, comfy for one or two people at least but it have those calm and peaceful atmosphere around it.
Maybe he’s a peaceful person.
“I’m sorry -- for troubling you.”, he said as she wrap the bandage around his stomach. He have a soft blush on his cheek while Hikari is too immersed on treating his wound -- not realizing that his upper body was left exposed.
“Why are you apologizing ? It’s not your fault.”
“Ha--ha -- I guess so.”
“Look, I’m sorry about earlier. I just react out of wimp.”
“That’s fine. Anyone would do that -- especially -- us.”
Hikari finishes with the bandages, and her eyes rolls up on his shoulder -- and down to his arms and abs.
He have a bit of muscles -- not much -- but --
It’s pleasant to see.
“Err-- Are you done ?”
Hikari clears her throat, and quickly back away from him, “Yeah, it’s done.”
“Thank you.”
There were some weird air floating around them, she feel suffocated as if something slowly dragging and tighten around her neck. He put on his shirt, and Hikari watch him as he twisted those buttons.
“I think I should go. You’re okay now, right ?”
“Yeah -- let me send you to the --”
“It’s fine.”
“You know -- I didn’t get your name.” he nervously scratch his cheek, letting out a small chuckle. Hikari didn’t answer him, staring at his face and he fidgeted. She turn her heel, walking towards the door.
“Hikari Yomo.”
--and she left as his heart fluttered hearing her name.

Ice Shard
Pairing: AraMura & onesided AraHika Fandom: Danball Senki Wars Length: ~1200 word Műfaj: it wanted to be something romantic, but ended up as angst Warning: high level of sadness, no beta
Because I'm worth it. Nah, mostly because I'm an evil sorceress who was in a really terrible mood around march. But finally I collected enought strength to translate it! Enjoy!
World-shattering disasters are not necessarily ignited by wars. There is no need for mass slaughters or human cruelty. The formula is much more simpler than that, because to relive the same experience one needs nothing but human emotions and the right moment. After all, the thoughts generated by honest feelings will get tangled by time, surrounding the victim like a spider's web, slowly but surely suffocating them. It's like a special noose for every human on Earth. It can guide someone out of the tangled labyrinth of despair, but these kind of ropes can act like a double-edged swords.
Because they almost always end up in the hands of another person, but there is no guarantee about the outcomes.
On top of that, anyone can tighten the noose. Be it friend or foe, or an unknown face. No one knows who will end up with the end of the rope when Fate starts ringing its bells shouting: Pull it! But one thing is sure. The final pull will come from the most unexpected person in their life.
Until that moment, the person who'd gotten entangled in this malicious web will be tortured by anxiety, and slowly but surely they will be paralyzed by their own emotions. Two of those play an extremely important role in this tragedy: Fear of the unknown, fear of the future.
They're not picky about their victims, like many other emotions. These two act like the main arteries of the whole system, while the same time they're serving as forerunners for the sudden loss or as others called it: a disaster.
And after a long struggle this noose, weaved from thoughts, eventually tightened around Hoshihara Hikaru's pale neck.
One night Hikaru's roommate, the infamous Sena Arata arrived home with a huge grin on his face. Of course he appeared like that way too often in their doorway, yet around this time of the day it hadn't predicted too much good for Hikaru's future. Considering the fact that Muraku'd spent the whole afternoon in Arata's company and seeing how his roommate was jumping like an untrained puppy after its first walk in the forest, his heart unintentionally clenched in his chest.
Yet without any unnecessary words Hikaru welcomed him like he always does. Unfortunately, it seemed Arata was waiting for something. He had something big to tell now.
Hikaru didn't intend to talk with him, fearing the worst, but when Arata'd stepped next to his chair, and held onto the top rail, the blood froze in his veins. Hikaru couldn't help but look at the boy when the red-head leant to his eye-level. He tried to lean away, but Arata followed him bearing the strong scent of sweets and something unknown. The latter made him feel uncomfortable in his seat, because he finally realized what was going on.
Even in the weak light of his desk lamp he could see the flushed cheeks and the strange light flickering in the boy's eyes. The shining smile and affection was not for him, and this terrified Hikaru.
If he had a choice, he would've tried to run away. He would've done anything if that meant escaping from the unavoidable fate.
"Howdy!"
"I was about to lock the door." he said dryly, looking away from Arata. He was in no mood to talk.
"That's not very nice of you, you know?!" the red-head finally left the blonde's personal space and flopped down on his own bed.
"Says the one, who forgets his key at home and makes his roommate stay up for him." he tried to say it to tease Arata, but it sounded more like a weak insult thanks to his voice.
His reaction must've hit Arata out of balance because for a while he was only crumpling a piece of paper in his hands, lost deep in his own thoughts. "But guess what?" he asked hesitantly. Too bad, he tried to lighten up the mood, but only earned the opposite result.
"I'm sorry to butt in, but-"
Hikaru couldn't help but wince at that voice.
"So… This afternoon after we went out with Muraku to see if we could find books for the exam, then… Then after that he showed me a café! We found the books too, by the way. Once we need to go there with the others too! The food there was superb, especially those waffles and the Austrian pancakes! I would say it was even better than the parfait at the Swallow café!"
Arata carelessly went on blabbering about his experiences while the blond boy sitting at the desk was immobilized by fear. On the outside he showed the opposite, just a cold and bored Hikaru, who kept nodding at certain parts, instead of correcting the errors in Arata's story, but inside he was suffering from the feeling of loss what approached him at a crazy speed.
The story went on about the greatness of the cafe and of course, Muraku. Who else? But it had to end with a fitting punchline. Or else all of Arata's effort to present an enjoyable story would've gone to waste.
"So believe it or not." at this part Arata held a mysterious little pause, so he could say out the last sentence with one breath. "Muraku and I are officially dating now!"
When Arata grew silent, waiting for praise, something pierced Hikaru's soul. It was cold as ice and left a freezing, tingling scar behind. For Hikaru this meant the beginning of a countdown and the ending of a war.
"Finally." he muttered under his breath, and couldn't help but smirk as he was trying to hide the pain. He was worried that even one word could make him lose his mask and reveal that ugly monster that appeared when the noose finished its job.
Tears welled up in his eyes as he turned back to his book, but no matter how hard he tried to keep the teardrops in their place, they let out quietly clumping sound when they landed on the pages. As more and more joined them the small water drops made the miserably shaking letters seem blurry on the soaked paper.
On that fated day, Hoshihara Hikaru suffered an all-out defeat against Houjou Muraku in a battle he never really had a full participation in the first place. This time Juliet was faster than the Sleeping Beauty and took the initiative to steal what was hers from the beginning.
Later that evening when he watched the bed next to his, he let his emotion break free for the first time. Fat teardrops rolled down his face as his expression turned into a twisted smile. Alone, he wept. The shard what pierced his heart ached even more than before.
The web was gone. However, it was questionable whether Hikaru will survive this disaster or not. The world went on for the time being.

Merry Christmas! I know it's short, but I hope it's short and sweet! :o)
A few steps behind him, Hikaru could hear Arata sneeze again, and rolled his eyes. The red haired boy had proclaimed he was ‘fine’ that morning, and now, in the evening, with the sky already dark, thanks to the shorter day, he was apparently starting to catch a cold.
The crunch of snow signaled Arata speeding up to walk next to him, shivering slightly and rubbing his bare hands together. Hikaru, on his part, looked mostly unsympathetic.
“…I think I probably should have gotten gloves this morning?” Arata’s voice was sheepish, and the blond student gave a ‘you-think-so?’ look, pointedly adjusting his own gloves, which were keeping his hands quite warm. They kept walking in silence as the snow started falling again, fat flakes drifting down from the sky, like it had been all week.
“…Hikaru.” Arata dragged out his name slightly, and part of him steeled for whatever idea the other might suggest. “Hikaru.”
            “What, Arata?”
            “My hands are cold.”
“Then you should have worn gloves this morning.”
Arata pouted, before rubbing his hands together again, “No, I mean, they’re really cold. Like really, really cold.”
When Hikaru glanced at his face, he wiggled his eyebrows in what he probably thought was a convincing manner.
“I’m not giving you my gloves.”
“Well, you could wear one, and I could wear one, and your hands have to be warm…” The eyebrow wiggling continued as Hikaru stopped walking, and Arata stood next to him.
Finally, with a half-hearted sigh, he pulled off one of his gloves, handing it over to Arata, who pulled it on happily. The cold air and wet flakes were making the warm skin of his now bare hand prickle, and he frowned, “Well, what are you going to do about this?” He held out the hand, and Arata looked at it for a second, his face getting a little redder, before grabbing it with his own bare hand. His skin was colder, but he scooted over closer so their shoulder bumped, “There!”
Despite himself, Hikaru could feel his ears heat up slightly from a reason other than the cold, and he started walking again, while Arata kept pace with him. The red haired boy just grinned widely, not minding the snowflakes that landed in his hair as they walked back to Duck Manor, their shoes crunching in the new snow.

Hikari always called Arata by his surname even when after they become friends -- Kirishima -- Kirishima -- and she stick with Kirishima all the way through even after they start dating. He came up with a plan where every time she called him “Kirishima”, he would reply with “Arata.” It repeated over and over again --
“Kirishima.”
“Arata.”
“Kirishima”
“Arata.”
He won’t talk to her until she call him by his first name, and Hikari was literally pissed -- but hitting him was not the best way to make him stop.
“Fine! Arata.”
“Yes?”
“You’re so childish.”
--on the next day, he do it again.
Kirishima -- Kirishima -- Kirishima.
“Arata.”
In the end, HIkari starting to get used to his name -- and start calling him Arata -- Arata, and few years later, Arata starting to change into papa when she put his hands on her swollen belly.
