New friiieeennds!! Man it's been years since I got one of those sweet sweet aquaticarts boxes on my doorstep. Today's friends are nerites, rabbit snails, a bunch of floating plants, and some assorted neo scrimps.

Favorite new friend has gotta be the king koopa nerite, look at their cute little piggy face

yes you may (I took them out of their enclosure for this picture but it's okay they can stay alive up to a month outside of water)

the big one is Fen and the little one is Fabaceae and they are my babies. my beloveds. I actually didn't plan on getting 2 but they sent me a bonus one lol <3 surprise baby. a lot of people feed them to bettas but I think they're very good pets, they live 200 years and are super low maintenance <- knows so many marimo facts

oh and if you're getting them, be sure you get them from a trusted source!! I cannot stress this enough, some of them have zebra mussels in them which are an invasive species in the US!!! do your research and make sure they are properly quarantined and everything, it's super important!! personally I got mine from aquaticarts, they're very trustworthy, very high shipping but it's well worth it imo. oh and if u need care tips come to me!!! I love talkin about these guys

ok definitely don't go for the petco ones, they're not made for longevity they're made to be eaten TT

so something about Marimo is they can be carriers of Zerbra Mussels which are an invasive species in the US, (I know Marimo can be killed with fire because that's what the government was recommending for a while...)

Anyway THAT SAID definitely look into sellers with good quarantine practices, I got mine from aquaticarts and they're excellent, but their shipping can be pretty expensive as I think they source from Japan... so if that's something that would be too much definitely research some with good quarantine practices u know u know you definitely don't want zebra mussels getting into the water supply when you wash them...
