GENSHIN MEN COMFORTING YOU AFTER A FIGHT

synopsis: you and your boyfriend hardly ever fight, so what happens when you finally have one?

♡ TARTAGLIA (CHILDE)

you and childe hadn’t spoken for much of the day, and this was due to an argument that happened between you two just before you sat down for some breakfast.

it was stupid, genuinely.

childe had completely misinterpreted something you had said that morning. you were talking about one of your friends and their relationship. for some reason, childe thought you were comparing your relationship to the one your friend had, and it made him question if he was doing enough to make you happy. one thing led to another, and the two of you bickered over the encounter. you tried to explain yourself, but your boyfriend, being the stubborn man he was, didn’t bother to listen and went off on his own accord.

you and childe hardly had any fights. they would usually resolve after an hour or two, but you hadn’t seen him all day. part of you began to grow worried from his sudden absence. did he go out and do something to hurt himself? was he with somebody else? no, there was no way childe would ever cheat on you. he didn’t even look in another woman’s direction when he saw you that day.

it wasn’t until sunset when childe had finally returned home to you. he had a few scrapes on his arms which seemed like they came from him battling another enemy, but regardless, he seemed to be in one piece. you were very relieved to see that he was fine. it made you run into his arms the moment he came into the door, which took your boyfriend by surprise. he was under the impression that you were still pissed off at him for the shit that he had pulled early on in the day. he knew he was wrong and he should have apologized, but he didn’t know how to put it into words. sometimes he wished he wasn’t so air headed.

his arm went around your waist, bringing your body closer to his. the smell of his skin made you calm down. “i thought something bad happened to you..” your eyes didn’t move from the floor.

childe could sense the worry that was in your voice. he shouldn’t have done that to you. he would never want to make you feel scared or put you under the idea that he would leave you. he wasn’t going to ever leave like that again, ever. “i’m sorry, baby..” he whispered, running his fingers along your backside. “i’m such an idiot.. i shouldn’t have said that shit. i love you way too much to hurt you..”

you lifted your head to meet his ocean blue eyes. he had this frown on his features. you could see how guilty he felt for putting you in such a position. no matter what, you would always be in love with childe. no small argument would make your feelings for him shift, ever. you knew he could be stubborn at times, and honestly, so could you. all that mattered to you in the end was that you two made up and forget the whole thing. “it’s okay.. i still love you, okay?” you smiled at him, which made his heart skip a beat.

childe couldn’t help but smile, too. he leaned towards you and planted a kiss on your lips. he didn’t ever want to see you frown again. he would do anything to see a smile on your pretty face. “let me make up for it.. how about we take a bath together, hm?” he questioned, raising his eyebrows.

you nodded your head. “sure..” you grinned.

♡ CYNO

you didn’t expect cyno to get upset earlier.

cyno was in a bit of a rush that afternoon. he had a lot of things to tend to as the mahamatra, so he typically had a busy schedule. at the time, you had no idea that he had to be somewhere at a certain hour, so when you saw your lover wandering around aaru village by himself, you decided to go and talk with him to ask how his day was.

he kept his responses to you a bit shorter than usual, but that’s how he usually was. cyno was more the type of man to listen more than he did talk, but the more you kept speaking, the more he grew somewhat irritated. he had to meet with candace and discuss something that had occurred on his way there. he had to return as quickly as possible, though, because there were several people who needed his help out there.

cyno had accidentally snapped at you, which in turn made you fire back at him.

it was very out of the ordinary for him to ever get angry with you. cyno was very patient, and he was especially with you. he was never the kind of man to be rude to you or yell at you, ever, so this threw you off completely. before he could even apologize, you left and went back to the place you two shared together.

he didn’t return home until later that night. he had been thinking about what he had done all day, and it made him feel guilty for being that way towards you. you were his girlfriend. he loved you more than anybody else, and he managed to hurt your feelings because he was unable to control his very own. cyno hoped you wouldn’t want to leave him. anxiety plagued him the entire day. he wondered if he would return back to you and find that you deserted the home you two stayed in.

much to his relief, you were lying in bed. you were turned on your side that was facing the window which exposed the vast desert outside. he sat down beside you and watched as your eyes fluttered open at the sudden weight taking over the bed.

“i’m sorry..” cyno whispered, looking down at you with amber eyes.

you sat up, crossing your legs on the mattress. you didn’t think he would come back being so apologetic, but you couldn’t help but forgive him. it did hurt your feelings a lot, but he was dealing with so much. it didn’t excuse what he did, but you two never fight. he wasn’t argumentative everyday. “it’s okay.. i just felt like shit for bothering you. i should have considered your schedule..” you didn’t want to look at him, but he tilted your chin to look into your eyes.

cyno leaned in and hugged you, which took you by surprise. “no need.. i was an asshole for not controlling myself. you didn’t deserve any of that..” he squeezed your body. “i love you.. i hope you can forgive me.”

your hand rested on his shoulder blade. his skin felt warm from the blazing heat of the sun that he was under constantly. “i love you too..” you spoke. “i can forgive you, no worries.”

♡ KAEYA

you and kaeya had been dating for quite a while. since you were his girlfriend, there were some things that you needed to get accustomed to in the relationship.

especially kaeya’s drinking habit.

you didn’t mind that he would go off to the bars some nights to have a few drinks with his friends. hell, you did it a few times yourself with your own friends, but it became an issue when he would come late to your dates due to him being hungover the next day. you knew he couldn’t help but sleep an extra hour or two through the morning, but it had happened a few times and it led up to an argument occurring between you. you claimed it was a bother to you and he wasn’t being considerate of your time and energy.

what made it worse was kaeya usually was the one to make these plans, so for him to just not show up, it felt unfair to you. if he knew he was going to drink a lot, why would he continue to make plans with you the next day? it didn’t make any sense to you whatsoever, and you were tired of him either not showing up or having to go to his house to wake him up.

when you stormed out of his house and the door slammed behind you, kaeya felt immediate regret plaguing his chest. he did everything for you in the relationship and you did the same for him. he felt like he was an idiot for letting his drinking habits get a hold of your relationship. he didn’t have a drinking problem by any means, but he knew when he had too much he wouldn’t want to do anything the next day. you were right. it was unfair of him to miss out on spending quality time with you. he didn’t want to make you feel unimportant or a second priority. kaeya loved you more than life itself. how could he hurt the one person he poured his heart and soul into?

he gave you a bit of time to blow off steam. he knew chasing after you could escalate things further, so he decided to leave you alone for the rest of the day. however, he wasn’t about to let you both go to bed angry with each other.

so, when he showed up at your doorstep with a bouquet of flowers, you were quite surprised. you didn’t think kaeya would even bother making an effort to talk things through with you, but he was standing there with an apologetic expression. “can we talk? i understand if not.. but i just don’t want you going to bed pissed at me.” he clutched the flower stems in his hand, hoping you would hear him out.

you nodded your head, inviting him into your home and watching him step inside. kaeya then turned to face you, handing the flowers in your direction. they were your favorite, lamp grass. you loved the way they glowed in the dark. “kaeya.. i’m-“ you started, taking the flowers from him.

“i’m sorry.. i didn’t mean to keep missing out on our dates. i was a shitty boyfriend for keeping up with my behavior, and i shouldn’t have been doing that in the first place.” he cut you off, shocking you. “i love you, (y/n), and i don’t want you to think otherwise.”

you stood there for a few moments in silence. you weren’t sure what to say to him, but you could sense his genuine energy in his voice. “i forgive you..” you said, lifting your eyes to meet his. “i don’t want it to happen again, okay? i love to spend time with you and i don’t wanna feel like you dislike my presence.”

he took your free hand into his, placing a soft kiss on the top of it. he had been a gentleman since day one and it seemed like that attribute of him never left his personality. “i love seeing you more than anybody else, please don’t think you’re a burden. i’d do anything to spend any waking moment with you by my side, okay? i won’t ever do it again.” kaeya replied, stepping closer to where you were standing.

you smiled, pressing a kiss on the side of his cheek. he loved how soft your lips felt against his skin. “i appreciate that..” you sounded much happier, which relieved him.

kaeya wasn’t going to do that ever again. he could never lose you, ever.

♡ WRIOTHESLEY

wriothesley was quite a busy man. it was something you knew you were signing up for when you started to date him a few months back. his job was tiring, exhausting even. he had a huge responsibility on his shoulders to carry, and sometimes it stressed him out more than he would like to admit.

it seemed like that stress began to reach its breaking point, because wriothesley hadn’t been acting right over the last few days. you assumed he was just dealing with his job, so you decided to try and see if venting would have any relief to your boyfriend. you two had done it many times before when things got a little hectic in your personal lives. plus, you both trusted each other greatly. you didn’t think he would have an issue with it.

well, you were wrong, unfortunately.

when you made the attempt to speak to your boyfriend about what was wrong, he had a serious attitude, and things escalated to you two both having a fight. you didn’t like the way he was speaking to you and he was becoming upset with you for no reason at all. all you had asked him was if he wanted to talk, but it seemed like that question alone must have ruffled his feathers.

you two never fought, so this had completely blindsided you.

wriothesley then left for work, leaving you by yourself in the apartment you lived in. it wasn’t your intention to make him angry with you. all you wanted to know was what was troubling him to make him feel so overwhelmed. that fact crept up on wriothesley immediately after he entered his office at the fortress. he shouldn’t have snapped at you that way. it wasn’t right, nor was it excusable. he was the one person who was supposed to make you happy, not hurt.

a few hours later, he returned home a lot earlier than usual. things were slow at the fortress, so he decided to leave early and try to patch things up with you. he found you sitting on the couch with a book in your hands, seemingly trying to read away what had happened earlier between you. you were a bit taken back to see him standing in front of you, but you didn’t know what to say to him.

“i’m sorry.. i was out of line earlier.” he broke the silence between you. it was like popping a balloon. “i get it if you’re pissed at me.. i can give you space if you’d like.”

you sat there for a few moments. you closed the book in your hands and placed it on the wooden table in front of you. wriothesley was right. he shouldn’t have been that much of an ass to you. you didn’t deserve such treatment, but you loved him. he was never like that towards you and your friends had told you before that random fights are normal. “it’s okay.. i forgive you.” you replied, standing up to go in front of him. “please.. just promise me you won’t do that again.”

his hands went to cup your cheeks. his thumbs brushed against your smooth skin. you could see how guilty he felt for doing what he had done. “i promise.. i swear, (y/n), i’ll never do that again. i could never hurt you like that, ever again.” he looked down at you with sincerity on his features.

you leaned in to hug him. wriothesley inhaled the fresh scent of your shampoo and felt immediately calmed from your touch. he loved you, dearly. he could never do that to you again and he vowed to never pull a stunt like that with you ever again.

Tighnari

It had been a hot day. Not in the way one may be thinking of though. Hot as in, scorching hot. The sun had been mercilessly beating down in the Avidya Forest, resulting in a humid weather that had been sucking the absolute life out of you.

One would also think that the night would be cooler, and technically, it was, if it wasn't for your boyfriend's tail, wrapped around you as an almost third arm, mimicking his actual arms that were hugging you close, making you sweat because of the weather.

You carefully slipped out of the hug, finally breathing some fresh air, and slightly moved out of Tighnari's reach, desperately looking for the colder side of your pillow.

«Mh...?» Tighnari's groan suddenly alerted you, and that was soon followed by his tail wiggling around, only to curl around air.

«[name]?» he called, still half lidded.

You freaked out: you didn't want to tell him the truth, so you pondered whether to pretend to be asleep or confess.

He opened his eyes, staring at you.

«Oh, there you are.» perking up at the sight of you, he kept staring. «Is.. everything alright?» he then continued, concern finding its way on his features.

You looked away, ashamed.

He gently grabbed your chin, redirecting your gaze towards him. «Hey. Talk to me. What happened?» he continued, even more concerned.

You sighed, not able to bear his concerned face. «I..was just hot, Nari. Your tail is very warm, and it's lovely in winter, but in this season..it's rather uncomfortable. I'm sorry.»

He sighed. «You could've just told me, you know.» and moved his tail out of the way, putting it behind his back. The bed now felt much cooler, and you felt like you could breathe again.

He then looked at you, dead serious.

«What is it now???» you were on the defensive.

«You're obligated to cuddle now.» he said with the best poker face you had ever seen.

You gasped at how he could look so serious while saying the silliest stuff, and got closer to him.

His arms sneaked their way back to your waist, and you rested your head on his chest, inhaling his scent, that was so familiar to you by now, yet so foreign at the same time.

«Goodnight sleepyhead.» he kissed your hair.

«Goodnight, Nari.»

Diluc

Despite Mondstadt being the city of the wind, it seemed like Lord Barbatos hadn't been very benevolent on his citizens as of lately. And that came in the form of hot wind that, combined with the hot weather of the season, had led to many restless nights.

Tonight was no different. Despite the bed being more comfortable than the one at the Knight's Headquarters, Diluc's presence made falling asleep an arduous task.

Not only because you had been staring at him for the past 10 minutes or so, his relaxed face a sight that you wanted to cherish as much as possible, but the connection he had with the Pyro element made him rather unfit for the current weather.

It also didn't help that he had forgotten to take his Vision off, and so he was even more in contact with the Pyro energy imbued within it, and you couldn't do anything about it. (a/n i have this headcanon where only the owner of a Vision can freely move their Vision around).

You were uncomfortable. Actually, uncomfortable couldn't even begin to describe it.

What to do..?

His arms were tightly wrapped around you, as if he was afraid to lose you any second, but you couldn't take the heat anymore, so you carefully slipped out of his arms, standing up and stretching your body.

You walked all the way towards the open window facing the beautiful vineyards of Dawn Winery, letting the cool breeze of the night caress your features. You closed your eyes and took a deep breath, savoring the quiet atmosphere all around you.

After a few moments though, you heard rustling coming from behind you.

«[Name]? [Name]! Where are you?» the slight panic in Diluc's tone alarming you, you rushed back to the bed.

«Diluc. I'm here.» you climbed onto the bed, making your way to his side once again. He held you close, and you could feel his pounding heartbeat calming down.

«You scared me, [name]. Why are you up so late?» he inquired.

You blushed, your cheeks threatening to become redder than his hair.

«I was..hot. You forgot to take your Vision off last night, and I obviously can't do it in your stead. But you looked so peaceful, I couldn't find the courage in me to wake you up. I'm sorry..» you looked at him, his expression turning into one of guilt, only to turn soft as you finished speaking.

He took his Vision off, setting it on the bedside table.

«I'm sorry I forgot to take my Vision off, love. Next time though, wake me up. I don't want you to overheat and potentially pass out, especially in this hot weather, okay?» he looked at you, waiting for a confirmation that you had received and understood his words.

«Alright. I will. I promise.» he smiled gently, opening his arms again, beckoning for you to claim your place back.

You gladly took the bait, and snuggled closer, his temperature now that of a normal human being.

«Feeling better?» he asked, gently stroking your hair.

«Yes. Much better.» and you kissed him goodnight.

Zhongli

It was a hot night in Liyue. Despite the rooms at Wangshu Inn being decently ventilated, you were feeling hot. Zhongli's massive body wrapped around you wasn't helping either.

You tried to wiggle around, but your boyfriend, true to his archon element, had a rock hard grip on you, and so you were effectively caught in his embrace.

You sighed.

«Zhongli..» you whispered, trying to wake him up so he would let go.

No answer.

«Zhongli.» you called further, a little louder this time, and his eyelids finally fluttered, signaling he had at least heard something.

You called him again, finally catching his attention, getting rewarded with his half lidded amber eyes looking at you.

«Yes, dearest?» his groggy voice sent shivers down your spine, momentarily distracting you from your thoughts, but you quickly got a hold of yourself.

«I'm too hot. Could you move a bit please?» you asked, getting rewarded with a giggle.

«But of course. You should've said that sooner, dear. Maybe you should also take a shower to cool down? This temperature is very demanding of one's body.»

You looked at him, confused.

«But I had a shower before bed, and besides, I'm not dirty, I don't want to waste water.»

He smiled mischievously, and abruptly changed your positions, pinning you down on the bed.

«Oh, we can change that rather quickly.»

I finaly found the motivation to do something, my Apologies for not posting anything in such a long whileee.

instead of getting isekai'd into sagau, why not, instead, getting isekai'd to a fan-fiction you read the night before?

Warnings: yandere? Obsessive behavior.

You felt an arm stirring you awake. "Y/n, wake up, your brother has to leave early and he asked me to wake you up". Diluc? From the game? It took your brain a good minute to realize, you were in the game, Genshin impact. But wait... This aint sagau, if it was, you wouldnt be in the Dawn winery... This reminded you of a fan-fiction you read yesterday night, but surely not... You thought before jumping out of bed to get dressed.

Ah finaly your here! Your eyes lit up with seeing diluc in the living room. You jumped down the stairs only to get scolded by diluc. Hey dont do that you might actually hurt yourself. Like you cared? But since you were his sister, that means free hugs righttttt? Ye sure it does. So you put your arms around him and so trapped him in your embrace. "Have a safe trip brother" :D Truly he didn't understand but still hugged you back.

The time was slowly ticking. 12:30 the time said. You sneaked out of the Dawn winery with ease. Today you had agreed to meet your lover at windrise.

Ah windblume your here early! Im not complaining tho! You looked up to see venti sitting at one of the branches of the tree. You pinched yourself to see if you werent dreaming. You were really here, YOU FINALY DID IT! All the people whom you once yearned to meet finaly are infront of you. "I cant believe it..." you muttered under your breath. He kissed you on your cheek and handed you an apple. You raised an eyebrow. Oh! i bought us some apples!

When you guys finished your apples, you went on a little walk. so how has work been? "Eh it was okay, just the usual" he laughed. Ofcourse. He smiled at you. "Well how was ur day?" Oh i had a performance in a restaurant! It doesnt suprise me that they hired me, i mean who wouldnt want to hire the best bard in Mondstadt huh? You laughed. It was so nice, walking next to him through the grass field.

He suddenly grabbed your bag and launched himself up into the air. Your eyes widened seeing a person flying in the fcking air. "VENTI GIVE IT BAAACKKK" he smirked at you. Then come get it windblume~

You spent about 10 minutes throwing anything you could find at him untill he came down and handed you your stuff back.

You guys bad eachother goodbye and you went home again. It took you a while to realize diluc wasnt home, and took some time to think about all that had happened... You were in a fan-fiction that you read... It was mostly peaceful, right..? Yes... But what about your life back in your own world..? You got a bit sad, thinking you'd never see them again.

A maid came up to you, and started saying something you couldnt understand, and suddenly, you were back in your bed. You were shocked. Was it all a dream..? Or did that maid get you back home..? You looked around, only to see a pair of green eyes staring back at you. Ah... I wished you'd stay longer... But thats okay, my love~ we will just have to meet another time soon~ just one thing... You're mine, mine only... If anyone even dares to touch you... Well... Then they will have to face the wrath of a god... And you... Dont think you can escape from me, my dearest windblume...

with that, venti dissapears, just like he did when we first saw him in the game...

sorry for the long silence! so many things have happened (nothing too serious), which led to my motivation being completely gone and after so many weeks, im finally admitting that its been affecting me and my health lately.

unfortunately, i wont be online for another week due to my dog of 8 years passing away recently, which reached my breaking point. id like to take a break and take some time for myself and grieve for my precious best friend without focusing on school as well as the stress of finishing evermore and other fics :,)

to all evermore readers who are still waiting, i apologize for the long wait of chapter 15 once again. i cant guarantee that ill be able to post it anymore since im still not confident with it and how i cant get a grip of anything, so i hope you understand.

overall, i just want some time to get my shit together and fix my health as well as take a breath. thank you for your understanding, ill make sure ill be back in a week when im okay <3

p.s. dont worry im not giving up on fanfiction, my passion for writing is still strong as well as my love for genshin 💞 im only taking a break just to take time for myself.

Sorry that paragraphs look weird this time, this was the only way tumblr would let me post… otherwise I was getting an error that didn't even let me save this as a draft. :(

When it was lunch break I quickly managed to get out from the classroom, before someone would ask me to eat with them. I went to my regular place that I go when I'm not eating with Yoimiya, I could finally have some time for myself. -“When I think about it, I didn’t saw Yoimiya today in her regular places… I wonder how she is doing…” I said aloud to myself. I really want to see her but I’m afraid that I’ll start just be myself and she will know that something is wrong with Lumine.I sighed and opened my lunch, it seems Aether prepared bento today. “Hm this is first time for me to try bento! I always only eat sandwiches for lunch.” I took the first bite and -“Ummm!~ That’s delicious!” I started to savor the taste and enjoy every bite. “Good looking, kind, caring and he can even prepare such delicious lunch! I’m so jealous of his future wife!~” I smiled to myself, continuing to enjoy tasty food. -“LUMINE!” Someone shouted, making me choke on food. - „Ah! I’ll help you!” that person hit my back with too much strength, that I fell on the ground. -“Boss! What are you doing?!” the other person helped me get up and started checking me. It was girl with black mask, light green hair and narrow reddish-violet eyes. -“You supposed to come here and apologies, not kill her!” the light green haired girl was sending glares towards “boss”. He said that he tried to save me, the girl was fuming and before she could scold him, I coughed, bringing their attention to me. -“I’m fine, my back hurts a bit but I’ll live!” I said looking at rest of my food that ended up on the ground, feeling a bit sad that such great food went to waste. -“I’m so sorry Lumine!” I finally looked at person who ‘helped’ me. “This guy is huge!!” I felt suddenly intimidated by presence of big guy with red horns. “Wait, red horns, white hair, this is the same guy I saw with Lumine back then.” -“I’m so sorry, I promise I’ll do anything to make it up! Please forgive me!” He bowed, spitting apologies. -„You don’t have to apologize for something like this, it happens.” he and the girl looked at me with surprise on their faces. -“But! Because of me you had to go to hospital!” The Oni shouted. “Oh…I thought he was apologizing for hitting me so hard and for fallen food.” -“We heard from Aether that you went to hospital yesterday, Boss was messaging and calling you but you never responded, so we were worried that the hit in the head did something serious to you.” She glared at the ‘Boss’ again, when she said ‘hit in the head’. -“Aah well…you see… I lost my phone! Sorry that I couldn’t respond! But I’m fine. Nothing happened to me, like you see!” I smiled. I couldn't come up with any other excuse why I was ignoring their messages and calls, so I lied about the phone. -“Hm? You lost your phone? When did you lost it?! If it was at school, then me and the boys can go look for it!!” The Oni said with excitement, like he’s going to search for treasure. -“Ah, there’s no need! I think I lost it somewhere at home! And you know, I turned sound off, so calling it won’t’ help! I’ll find it eventually! Haha…“ The girl looked at me deep in thought, meanwhile the Oni was saying that I should find it soon because there is something he wants me to show. -“Are you really alright?” she asked. I got surprised by her question that I hesitated for moment. -“Of course!” I said with false enthusiasm. The girl looked like she wanted to say something more but the big guy interrupted her. -“Of course she’s alright Shinobu! Lumine is Second to One with Aether! Some ball in the head won't defeat her! Haha!” he said loudly and then started to laugh. The girl put her hand on her forehead and sighed, looking tired to deal with her ‘Boss’. “At least I know what’s her name but I still don’t know his na-“ -“After all! All homies of Arataki "Numero Uno" Itto are unbeatable!” “Oh, there, he said it. Lumine has really interesting friends.” Then Shinobu glared at Itto, telling him to clean the mess on the floor that was my lunch not long ago.

She wanted to buy me another one but even if I still felt a bit hungry I declined.

After that I went back to school building. “I don’t think, I’ll be able to avoid Lumine's friends…there is nowhere to hide from them!” suddenly I bumped into someone. I immediately apologized, hoping this person is not another friend of Lumine. They chuckled. -“What happened Lumine? It’s not like you to have your head in the clouds~” the guy with navy-blue hair chuckled again. Even if his bangs mostly covers it, I can still see black eye patch on his right eye. “Is his right eye blind? Or this is something he just wears for fun?” I could see diamond-shaped pupil in his left eye, his eye is really pretty. -“Oh? Are you finally falling in love with me?” he smirked. “Wait, what?” I felt my face getting warmer. -“Oh my, do I see blush on your face? That’s surprising~!” -“S-stop! I’m not blushing!” I covered ‘my’ face, trying to hide the heat in ‘my’ cheeks from this person. -„Hmm~” He hummed, deep in thought. “Who would thought, that hit by ball will bring on your cute side~” he patted ‘my’ head. I slapped his hand, not liking for him to just pet me like that. He wasn't surprised by this action, he only smiled and said. -“Alright, alright, don’t get angry now… to think we all were worried about you but it seems it was nothing after all.” He was watching me, waiting for some reply. I sighed, already tired of all of those interactions with Lumine’s friends. -“Sorry for worrying you all.” I mumbled, loud enough for him to hear. “But I would like to have some alone time for myself before the end of the break, so excuse me.” I passed him without looking back at the guy.

I watched the clock on the wall, waiting for last class to end. When I heard the bell I gathered all Lumine’s things into backpack and quickly went to lockers. This time I didn’t made a mistake and immediately went toward Lumine’s locker. Before any of her friends would talk to me I left school, going towards local library. “I hope I’ll be able to find some clues about this weird situation.” After reaching the library I noticed that there’s not that many people “Great!” I smiled, going toward PC that nobody was using. -“Let’s see..” I murmured under my nose. I tried to search anything that would confirm if things like that are even possible, sadly I only found some made up stories, or sites that wanted to redirect me to other suspicious sites. “I knew it, this is impossible! If something like this happened then there would be some article about it! Or maybe… if something like this happened to someone, they too never told anyone about it…” I sighed, disappointed that I was unable to find anything that could be useful. -“It is possible to change bodies with someone?” Someone said beside me, I jumped, closing all tabs and looking at the girl with short, wavy light green hair and with magenta eyes. -“O-oh! I’m sorry Lumine! I… You were so engrossed into reading it, that the curiosity got best of me! I’m sorry!” The girl panicked, she was avoiding my eyes, she probably felt shameful for reading what I was searching. -“It…it’s okay! Don’t worry!” I looked at the monitor, not knowing what else to say “Those Lumine’s friends really have to be everywhere?! Give me a break.” -“Um…” the girl was looking at me, like she wanted to say something, probably ask why I was searching something like this -“Ah! This!” I was looking everywhere and then I noticed the book the girl was holding ‘The Boar Princess’. “That’s it!” -„You know! I was searching something for my book!” I said with a smile. -„A book?” The girl looked at me with curiosity in her eyes. -“Yes! I wanted to write a story where two girls woke up in each other bodies! So I was searching for.. um… any information if something like this could be even possible or if I have to add some magic to it!” I said, hoping that this will be enough to not be suspicions of Lumine’s weird behavior. -“Oh! That interesting! I never knew you are writing stories!” she said with a smile. “When you finish it, can I read it?” she asked with excitement in her eyes. -“Well, if I finish then sure! But! Don’t tell anyone, okay?” -„O-of course! I won’t!” After she said that, I smiled to her and got up from the chair. -„I finished for today so I’ll be going! Bye!” The girl waved back, saying goodbyes. I left the library, feeling tired, I walked slowly toward Lumine’s home.

“Good that I started to write the names of some Lumine’s friends on the paper, I should learn them because I won’t be able to came up with any excuse why Lumine suddenly doesn’t remember her friends names. But ugh.. I didn't get a chance to hear the names of ‘pirate guy’ and that girl from library...” I sighed nth time for the day. I thought about visiting hospital to learn if maybe ‘I’ woke up but I felt too tired, the only thoughts in my head were about going to bed and sleep. “Ah, I need to do homework too… ugh but what about MY homework?! Why I’m the only one who have to do homework for her?! What about my school work?!” -“I don’t want to talk with you! Leave me alone!” -“But! Klee is very sorry!” I stopped in my tracks after hearing some children shouting, I realized that I walked along the road that leads to my little sister's school. “Ah, today it's my turn to pick her up from school…” I noticed that the children that were shouting are my little sister and “Isn't that the child I saved?” -“Klee didn’t wanted (little sister name)’s sister to get hurt!” the little girl with blond pigtails and red cap was crying. -“But she is! Give back my sister-“ -“Hey, hey don’t yell at each other! You two are friends, aren’t you? Friends shouldn’t shout at each other.” I stepped between them, trying to calm them down. -“She’s not my friend! Not anymore! Because of her my sister…my sister…” Now two girls were crying. I crouched down, looking at two girls. -“Do you think your sister would blame your friend for what happened?” I asked my little sister. -“…no…” -“So why are you blaming your friend? I know your sister and I know she would be sad, knowing that you’re angry at your friend.” Both of the little girls stopped crying. And I continued. “You sister saved someone’s life! Isn't that amazing? I’m sure she will be even happier when she hear that she saved YOUR friend from accident!” My little sister wiped her tears with her hand. “After all, we, the elders have a responsibility to always protect the younger ones!” I smiled to both them, hoping that this make my little sister stop being angry at her friend. -“I'm sorry Klee…” Klee shook her head, she held onto my sister’s hands. -“Klee is sorry too! Klee promise to be more careful to not make any more problems to others!” I was happy to see that they made up. The girl with red cap looked at me. -“Thank you Lumine!” She said with bright smile. “Wait, she knows Lumine too?!” I was shocked but still I replied -“No problem, just don’t get into trouble and don’t fight with each other okay?” Both girls shouted “Okay!”. -“Are you two waiting for someone to pick you up? Or maybe would you like me take you home?” I asked. My sister shook her head. -“I’m waiting for dad!” she replied. -“I’m waiting for my brother with Dodoco!” Klee showed me her fluffy toy. “I should go now, It’s better to not risk staying here any longer if happens that Klee’s brother is another friend of Lumine.” -“Alright! Then be good and wait here, don’t go with any strangers! I’ll be going, bye bye!” I waved and started heading back to Lumine’s house, the girls waved back and shouted goodbyes. They both are waiting by school's gate so I don't have to worry about them.

While going back to twins’ home I couldn’t stop thinking about my little sister. “It must be hard for her… I need to come back to my body. I can’t worry my family any longer… but how? Should I just hit myself in the head? Will that really help?!” I sighed, feeling depressed with this whole situation. Looking around I realized that there is no one on the street. “Hm? That’s weird, there always someone going to shop or going back on this street. Well at least I can enjoy the silence.” I could only hear my steps but then -“Lumine.” I heard some child's voice whispering to ‘my’ ear. I turned around immediately but I didn’t saw anyone. -“…Great… Am I losing my mind already?!” I mumbled. I stood in place a bit longer, looking around if someone is hiding and trying to prank me, but there was clearly no one. There was no one, yet I started to feel like someone is watching me. “Suddenly I don’t feel safe.” I ran back to Lumine’s place, looking behind me from time to time.

After reaching home, I ate dinner and then went to room just to lay down on bed. I thought about taking a nap before doing homework but before I could even close ‘my’ eyes, someone knocked on the door. -“Come in…” The door opened, revealing Aether. -“Can you finally reply to Ajax? This guy is bothering me because you’re ignoring him.” He said a bit angry probably with getting too many messages from that guy. -“Tell him I lost my phone.” I turned to lie down on my stomach. Aether looked at me and then at his phone, not even minute passed and we could hear the bell of Lumine’phone “Did he just called me?!” Aether approached desk and opened the drawer, finding the phone. -“You should just be honest that you don’t want talk with him…. Or with anyone” He was looking through Lumine’s phone and then I realized. “Wait a minute, did he just unlocked it?!” I got up quickly from the bed and rushed towards Aether. I took the phone from his grasp and turned off the option of putting the password to unlock it. -“ Oh gosh, thank you! You don’t have any idea how much tro-“ I stopped talking, looking at surprising Aether. “Oops I almost said I couldn't unlock it.” -“I mean... you don’t have any idea how long I was searching for it!” I smiled. The boy just looked at me with face that was saying 'Are you serious?' then he sighed and started heading to the door. -“If you can’t handle Ajax, just tell me and I’ll take care of it.” -“Huh? Ah no! I … I can handle him!” Aether didn’t say anything and he just left the room, closing door behind him. I went back to bed. -“Well, time to check this phone!”

my apologies for the slight length of this (ok maybe its not too long and im just self conscious) but-

i chewed through, devoured your fic cyanide narwhal from start to the current chapter within a 24 hour time period a day or so ago (including a sleeping break) during all my awake free time moments and was then so immersed in it mentally it was hard to tear myself away just to do my genshin dailies when i remembered they existed, at that time undone for that day? what-

and… although i am not confident about it (only bc of my own doubts about art, really, i have zero consistency outside of Brainrot itself) i really want to make fanart for it…? so yes, i am sticking to anonymous for this, but i may well be, uh. yelling less anonymously if that does occur. if you don't mind. (and if the art braincell cooperates. if i can stop getting distracted rereading 15+ chapters before i can even open krita. yeah, that… that happened already and may well happen again, at this rate. not that i truly consider it a bad thing. but it does somewhat make actually doing any art slightly challenging if im distracted before i can even open the program-) either way, really wanted to thank you for the amazing fic!!! 100/10 one of the best if not the best i have had the pleasure to find so far and i appreciate it so much. kudos to you. i actually tried giving kudos twice (from two different devices). dunno if it worked or not though, since i don't know what it works off of and my memory was too clouded with excitement to actually, well, tell me anything useful about that.

oh em gee, hi lia! it’s been so so long! how have you been? i hope you’re doing well :) i ended up falling asleep on the couch as soon as i got home, and now i’m in PAIN (/srs),, but anyway! i have a week off from school now, so i guess it was worth it <3

exams are on the 19th, so i guess i’ll have to be.. stu(dying) for those. i can barely function right now and i’ve been getting a lot, maybe too much sleep, and i still always feel worn out 😭 big yikes, hopefully it’s not bothering anyone (again) that i’m not going to be as active as i’d like.

also! considering that this is a wanderer-less patch, i feel very lucky to have gotten him <3 (he’s literally so pretty omgomgomg pls stop me before i look like i’m cheating on cynosbisnaidjk) and speaking of cyno, i finally built him 🐥 [ 73/214 crit ratio as of now! ]

my siblings’ birthdays are coming soon :) they’re three days from each other, my brother’s is on april 7th (he’s turning 11) and my younger sister’s is on the 10th (she’s turning 8) very excited for that hehe! my friends might come over on tuesday too (hopefully), we rarely get the chance to hang out, so i’m crossing my fingers!

Hello, I came across one of your posts when scrolling and saw you were doing Genshin matchups and thought I would request. Your page looks cute, by the way, thought I should let you know. :>

I’d like option 1, and I would prefer to be called Pomii here. My pronouns are she/her, and I’m straight.

For my physical appearance, I’m 5 foot and have white skin. However, my legs have a lot of scars due to mosquito bites and itchiness. I have short black hair and dark brown eyes. I wear glasses and I usually wear a headband.

My favorite songs right now are "春に迷い込んで" by SHISHAMO and "스물다섯, 스물하나" by Jaurim. My favorite colors are blue, grey and any earth tone colors. My favorite snack or dessert would be ice cream or chocolate. I don’t really have a favorite constellation, but if I were to pick, my favorite constellation would be the Scorpius due to my zodiac sign.

I’m not sure what my MBTI is anymore since I don’t relate to some of it, but I’m either an INTJ or INTP. My enneagram type is 5w6. For other things about my personality, I’m independent, responsible, and rational. However, this doesn’t mean I can’t get lazy and emotional. I’m quite distant, but I care a lot, if not, I try to care. I usually hate it when I get emotional, so I bottle it up. My emotions would burst when it gets too much or the smallest of things happen. I have workaholic tendencies, but I do take breaks sometimes. I’m very playful with my close friends, but I try my best not to cross the line. In other words, I’m the gremlin and the mature one in the friend group. My main love language is quality time, and I’m not a big fan of PDA. I’m also both reserved and shy, and I struggle to socialize with strangers.

3 fun facts about me are, I can’t get social cues. I find it hard to read the room and need someone to tell me.

Second, I like to remember small things about the people I love. They’re usually surprised that I remember.

Lastly, I have been told that I have a talent for singing and dancing. I don’t have any confidence in it, though. I do enjoy singing, but only when I’m alone. As for dancing? I haven’t done it in years.

you get flustered, blush a little, but handle it like a pro, making a small teasing comment back in return. he giggles because he knows he flustered you but leaves it at that.

ROBLOX I used to play on roblox a lot as a way to distract myself asides from watching animation memes on youtube from my household that were- very bad- and I gained a few friends that I talked to, this cool dude that I forgot his name, snow, and Ailey. this cool dude I now lost him as a whole because I thought he was a creep for asking for my facebook and uh.. well it was too late now when I realized how wrong I was and that I'll actually will never be able to talk with him ever again, he w as also one of the kindest guy now that I keep looking at the old chats. Snow were a friend that I talked to and played games with a lot until she starts getting distant, starts playing games without me and whenever I join the game she's playing a few seconds later she'll immediately leave and after a while of that she told me she'll be getting genshin and then completely leave me for months until she came back and says she was so busy playing genshin and after a while of me telling her I won't be getting genshin because the size is too big she ended up unfriending me a few days later- her account is still there, still exist, she just randomly unfriended me. Ailey were a friend I also frequently talked to and she invited me on discord.. which I did join later and I abandoned my roblox account after this [5-11 years old me]

TUMBLR I joined tumblr like 3 years ago and I was a blog with twice themed because I was in my MHA phase until I found these cool KNY rp blogs and I starts interacting with them until I remade my entire account into a self insert but then changed my mind and turned it into an oc and RPed with people in the KNY community and then drags into BLEACH rp community and I was very interested when I saw Grimmjow which he was what was got me into BLEACH in the first place same with Szayel. I met my ex-girlfriend when she was RPING as szayel. after a while doe' I was rping with this one oc and all of a sudden I was blocked by most of the people I used to rp with?? I was very confused until I asked the person about it and seeing some post about it and apparently it was about the person ooc mispronouncing them or something? even then I still don't quite get why allat happened and I still don't understand what is even the context of it. I also used to rp a lot of suggestive stuff on here due to hormones and maybe hypersexuality? not sure but it was still a way I was coping with life too by rping suggestive stuff. after a while I saw a rp server on discord that I could join from a Giyuu rp account and I joined immediately which leads to.. a far worse possibility- [11-12 years old me]

TWITTER joined twitter a while back.. my whole account theme used to be purely Shinji because I was hyperfixating on Shinji until I moved to Askin and I found this cool person named Askinfection/xdb which is who I nicknamed as moth and we used to be very great friends even after only a bit of knowing each other! but after a bit my abandonment issues was acting up so I self sabotaged the relationship and left without a word until they found me again and we became friends after being gone from each other for weeks? months? not sure. but then everything starts falling downhill after this and I will provide screenshots after I talked about this. a lot of shit happened and then it was Christmas. they told me we'll be making up in spring so I didn't thought they were gonna sent me anything but in the end they did and it was. uh.

yeah. it pretty much brings my whole mood down. had an entire mental breakdown about this in one of my friend's dm too. I have lashed out at them in specific on my main twitter on the tl about THEM. and lashed out at them in THEIR DM which they also saw. also!! fun fact!! i apologized on my twt for lashing out and being angry and for some reason they? only liked that? it felt so. weird to me cuz it felt like they only acknowledge my apology and not how angry and sad I got over them sending me that message, and I knew they were active- they even tag me in a tagging game thing which I did not participate. ghosted me for 11 days until they softblocked me and another mental breakdown in friend's dm. and they have also unfriended me on discord too which makes it more clear that the softblock, was indeed, intentional. and then they have the guts to say this.

did they realize they treated me wrongly at all? well I supposed the screenshot says itself!

and after the whole blocking thing for months I unblocked them and they immediately followed me and we have a talk.. which also leads to them blocking me and our friendship was finally reaching its own end even though I didn't wanted it at all and cut down a piece of myself and it felt like I keep cutting down the pieces more and more smaller just so they can digest it but they're not even trying at ALL to understand me and it was really clear. PETS I had a lot of pets. the first one was some fishes which died for some reason that I still don't know- most likely because I didn't change the water and I didn't knew how to. second one was a black cat which die most likely due to poisoning and I saw its corpse right by the trashcan when I took out the trash at night and all I could do was stands there and calmly just looking at it and not being able to cry. the third one was another cat, pure white one which die from a car running over em and I found it again by my own eyes because I thought the loud noise of my mother closing the window was from outside so I go and checked and I saw my cat laying in a pool of water which I was confused on why until I walked closer and it was blood, the eye was even out of its socket. I stood there staring at it until I called my parents and they both cried, not me, I didn't knew how to because I have completely suppressed myself from crying. fourth and fifth one was two rabbits, light brown and gray, both died most likely from a sickness. sixth, seventh and eight one was stray dogs that died from illness. ninth one was a cat that recently died from illness too. I now have 1 dog and 5 cats

[there's also trauma from discord but I can't post it for some reason so for summary; get in server, get ignored constantly, no one likes me, excluded me and have made me almost commit and make me have multiple mental breakdowns and panic attacks, almost got groomed and have been shown nudes on the first few days on discord, lost multiple friends/friends leaving me causing me to have heavy abandonment issues and heavier issues of self-sabotaging]

Genshin x fem!reader [Volleyball Team AU - Inspired by Haikyuu!] He introduces S/O to the team

Before you read this, might be a good idea to read the introduction first. To give you the whole low-down of the team and their dynamicsssss.

Scenario: You and him have been dating for a while now. Why does the team not know and what’s their reaction in finding out/when he introduces you?

Warnings: AU if that’s not your thing then don’t read, not proofread...as usual.

#1 Zhongli (Captain/Wing Spiker/Ace)

You’ve been dating for nearly 5 months at this point. Beforehand the two of you were close friends. So the team kind of already knew you guys were close, but you’d never met the team properly.

It’s not that he was HIDING your relationship, its that he didn’t want to pressure you into meeting his team. They could really be an overwhelming bunch of high schoolers sometimes.

As it happens he walks to the gym hand in hand with you one day, his other hand on his duffel sports bag, thinking that he’d be the earliest one there as always.

But when he slides the gym doors open his WHOLE TEAM greets him “CAPTAIN!” and then there’s an awkward silence that descends as they all catch him with his hand intertwined with yours.

KAEYA AND TARTAGLIA LOSES IT. “C-Captain, you had a girlfriend and didn’t tell us?!” “You finally made a move on her?!” “S’about time!”

Needless to say they both get knocked on the head by Zhongli’s fist.

Zhongli sighs and turns to you apologetically but you say that you don’t mind meeting them. He perks up and claps his hands to ask his team to line up.

They do so diligently. Kaeya, Tartaglia and Thoma are giddy while looking at you. Xiao and Kazuha have their mouth slightly agape as if you’re some kind of rare species. Diluc and Albedo stare you down.

You introduce yourself as Zhongli’s gilrfriend and as you do so Tartaglia’s eyes dart towards Zhongli who has a slightly shy expression on his face.

“Oh, oh question time!” Thoma raises his hand “Does the captain secretly eat sweets behind our back?” You haven’t even answered when Kaeya asks “Does the captain ever glare at you (he mimics Zhongli’s face) and say 10 Push ups NOW!” Surprisingly Diluc raises his hand too “...Is the captain strict with you too?”

Zhongli gets irked the more questions are asked and he finally steps in with an ominous presence. “10 laps around the gym...NOW!”

He apologizes to you again but you reassure him it’s totally fine and they all seem like such fun.

#2 Diluc (Vice Captain/Wing Spiker/Defense Specialist)

The vice captain is a very secretive guy.

Not even his brother knew.

It’s not that he was ashamed of you, he just liked his privacy and you already knew that.

But there was this one time where he forgot his textbooks under his desk and you had to go and give it to him while he was at practice.

Shyly looking into the door the first one that spots you is Albedo.

“...Do you need something?” you tense up at Albedo’s question and shakily hand him the textbooks.

“U-Uhm... D-Diluc’s...”

Albedo tilts his head and turns to shout at the team. “Someone’s looking for the vice captain,”

Everyone stops what they’re doing and snaps there head towards you.

Diluc jogs over, sweat still fresh on his forehead. Without thinking he takes the books from you, small smile on his face and thanks you.

The rest of his team freezes up all thinking: “Hold on, is he...SMILING?”

You’re oblivious to them staring and give him a quick kiss on the cheek before leaving. When Diluc turns back his team is glaring daggers at him, he stares back at them. Doesn’t say anything, and continues practice.

No one is brave enough to ask him about it.

Tartaglia whispers to Kaeya “You didn’t know about it either huh?”

#3 Kaeya (Middle Blocker)

This MF would talk about you whenever he had the chance.

Y/N this, Y/N that, Y/N is so cute.

Frankly the team is kinda tired of it.

But when you finally visit one of their practices the team levels their gaze at you and think “Oh shit, he wasn’t lying, she is actually cute,”

Sees his teammates expression and brags even more. “I know what y’all are thinking. You’re thinking, OH! She’s actually really cute! Hm?”

Slings an arm around you shamelessly with a grin. “Back off boys, I’ll block all your attempts,”

Diluc is the one that walks up to you and you blink at him. Kaeya blinks at him, confused as well.

Diluc suddenly bows, “I feel sorry for you but please take care of him,”

The rest of the team either bursts out laughing or snickers behind their hand.

Their vice captain is low key savage

#4 Albedo (Setter)

The team finds out about you cause when they finish practice they find you waiting outside the gym.

Kazuha asks politely while the others look on “Are you lost?”

You straighten up and stutter a little, “Ah, uh, no, I’m...” You’re at a loss for words.

Then Albedo suddenly appears from the gym doors and sees you. “Ah, were you waiting long? Sorry,”

Thoma tilts his head in question. “Albedo...Your sister?”

Albedo at this point was standing next to you already. “...No, my girlfriend,” like it was the most normal thing in the world.

Everyone is stunned into statues.

“H-How did you get one before me?” Tartaglia looks as if his soul had been sucked out of his body.

“Next time you can just come inside and wait inside the gym, it’s dark out here,” their responsible captain suggests and you’re amazed at his kindness and bow at him with a thank you.

Albedo doesn’t see what’s the big deal and just grabs your hand and starts walking away.

#5 Tartaglia (Middle Blocker/Wing Spiker)

The team already knew since the first date. It’s because he.would.not.shut.up.about.it

That particular day at practice his spikes were a tad bit stronger than usual.

“Oi... you’re getting too excited...” Xiao mumbles at him. Tartaglia just grins and scratches the back of his head. “Aaaahhhh... I can’t help it, I’m so nervous for my date with Y/N!”

A few more dates later he starts showing off his phone wallpaper to the others. It’s a picture of you and him.

Kaeya tries to piss him off by saying, “Huh, we’ve never actually seen her in person. Maybe it’s photoshopped,” The others snicker.

Is so pissed, asks you to come immediately.

You thought it was an emergency so you come into the gym with a worried look on your face only to be hugged tight into his chest. “See? See? She’s totally real and totally cute!”

Albedo crosses his arms and blinks, then looks at Kaeya “...You totally baited him, he’s such a simpleton.”

Kaeya responds with a smirk “Right?”

#6 Kazuha (Decoy/Middle Blocker/Wing Spiker)

The most formal out of all of them and even tells them seriously that he had an announcement to make.

Next day he comes into practice with you in tow.

Properly introduces you as his girlfriend.

Everyone is wide-eyed at how official it feels. Then you suddenly take out a big container of fruits and tell everyone it’s for them (The captain doesn’t allow sweets, he thinks it’ll fatten them up or some crap.)

EVERYONE IS BLESSED BY YOUR PRESENCE and Kazuha is just enjoying you getting along with them.

Kaeya and Tartaglia try to whisper and bribe you into making cookies for them.

Albedo and Xiao stares at Kazuha thinking ‘If someone like you can get a girlfriend, we can get one too, right?’

You offer to come back next time with more fruits and some secret cookies.

#7 Xiao (Libero)

Tried to keep it a secret because he knows his team will make a fuss about it.

The team finds out when his phone suddenly starts ringing in the middle of practice and he asks for a timeout to pick it up.

“Mm... Yeah... I’ll pick you up when I finish,” Everyone starts nudging each other when they hear him talk to you in an unusually calm and soft tone. So different from when he plays volleyball and gets angry at them.

By this point everyone tries to keep quiet and enlarge their ears to eavesdrop.

“Idiot... I won’t be late. I promised to take you out didn’t I?”

Hearing their tsundere libero say something so sweet makes everyone combust.

When he turns back everyone is staring at him with smirks on their faces. “Hey, why not just ask her to come here?” Kaeya sneakily suggests.

Xiao blushes “A-As if I’d let her near you bumbling fools!”

He was worried it would scare you away, actually.

#8 Tohma (Pinch Server/Middle Blocker)

Literally no one is surprised he has a girlfriend.

It would be MORE of a surprise if he DIDN’T have one.

But they find out cause he left his phone out on the bench one day and there’d been a text message while Xiao was conveniently sitting on the bench.

“...Tohma, someone me--” Xiao looks at the screen where the message ‘I love you!’ is clearly written.

Xiao is so curious but is not gunna admit it so he nudges Kaeya or Tartaglia who might be sitting next to him and secretly motions over to the phone.

They read it and ask in a real loud voice “Oi Tohma! Who’s Y/N? They said I love you!”

Tohma laughs nervously and since it’s already out he might as well introduce you.

“This is my princess,” he says when you enter the gym to walk home with him that afternoon. You bow and introduce yourself and everyone looks at you thinking... “Ah, they look like the perfect domestic couple,”

Low-key everyone is jealous of how you dote on him.

childe: the ‘gimme one more chance’ ex that fucking ruins your life — dating life, to be exact. he doesn’t even try to hide the fact that he wants you back, it’s just painfully obvious. it’s difficult trying to date after — mostly because people refer to you and know you as ‘childe’s s/o’ despite being broken up. but he loves to make it known that you two used to date, he’s so proud about it too come get this man. always one of the first people to comment when you post on instagram and swipes up on your stories to complement you. it’s a little embarrassing sometimes but you can’t stay mad at him, it’s his way of looking out for you — you just wish he’d do it in a more subtle fashion. when you start talking to him again as friends, you tell him about dates and people you’re going out with. and what a coincidence that he also happens to show up? not in a creepy way though, he comes to check up on you with some friends! if it seems to be going well, he’ll swallow his pride and get the hell out. but when you get stood up at this restaurant he’s already swooping in to save the day, swiftly pressing a soft kiss to your temple and muttering a quick apology before taking a seat. he swears he can die the happiest man alive seeing the smile on your face — mission accomplished!

diluc: the 'awkward/formal' ex — it's not that he has a grudge against you, he just doesn't know how to act! you're on pretty good terms, saying hellos to one another and asking about your day. your breakup is pretty painful — you're on the market and talking to other people and he can't help thinking 'that used to be me'. but even despite all of this, he keeps his distance because 'he's a gentleman, and you're no longer together'. truthfully, he uses that as an excuse to stop himself from knocking out the person asking if you're free for a date sometime soon. the temptation is there, but it's not like he would actually do it. you have your boundaries, and diluc respects them more than anyone! that being said, he's so used to your relationship that he feels a bit lost without you, so he subtly checks up on you whenever he can. of course, he's so awkward to do this, so instead he sends the next best thing — kaeya! kaeya's quick with cozying up to you, asking how you are and what you've been up to, who you're talking to and the main topic — about diluc. it definitely comes as a shock to him to hear kaeya say that you missed him. what did you mean by that? yes, diluc can be formal, but when he wants something? he goes full speed ahead. it's like he's a new person, meeting you and saying that he can take you out to the amusement park you told kaeya about before actually realizing his words — and when he does, he starts cutely stammering out apologies. but it must be his lucky day, because you're already wrapping yourself around his arm with a dopey smile, saying a quick "mkay!".

kaeya: the emotionally confusing ex. he’ll randomly come back into your life with a short and simple ‘i miss you’ text that has you overthinking for the rest of the day. sure, you’ve seen him around in public or through mutual friends like civil people, but it’s been forever since you’ve talked one on one. if you’re able to push aside the butterflies pooling in your stomach and reply, he’ll take that as his chance to slide back in. teases and flirts with you the same way he used to when you first got together but then completely acts as if nothing happened when you react; it’s so confusing! does he want you or not? you can barely function when he asks you to hook up with him one more time — and with the way that he’s been buttering you up and reminding you of your shared moments, how can you refuse? of course, one hook up turns into another, and another, until you’re full on fuck buddies/a little more than friends with benefits — thats when everyone knows that you’re off the dating market. accidentally lets an “i love you’ slip out mid hook up between the two of you. but leave it to kaeya to take your breath away by laughing right after, saying “wasn’t it obvious?”.

zhongli: the ex that you’re always running into. it’s not like he plans your ‘random’ meetups (although it would make sense if you thought so), he just doesn’t know what else to do. when you used to date, your days spent together were so predictable that they basically became a routine. and now, that routine is a habit! sometimes when you do muster up the courage to talk to him, he finds himself thinking about he shared memories you had at said locations. truth be told, it only makes him fall more in love. okay, at first, your run ins were purely coincidental. but after seeing your eyes light up after noticing a familiar face? his appearances are more frequent. he almost subconsciously finds himself wandering into your favourite hole in the wall bookshop — stopping at the aisle full of your favourite genre of books, skimming through spines to see which ones you’d like the most. and if you’re not a fan of bookstores? clothes, records & games are on the list too! he buys you all of it, because he thinks it’s what you’d like (it usually is). and when you storm into the local cafe for your favourite drink after having a shit day, there he is waiting with multiple bags in hand. you’re not sure if his broken sense of money management is a blessing or curse, because he’s brought you mountains of gifts, but the tab for the suggested date is for sure on you.

xiao: the ex that acts like you don’t exist. you see him in public and make eye contact? walks past you like nothing had ever happened. he’s so unbothered that it’s scary — even when you two broke up, he was up and out as if it wasn’t even his business. he doesn’t go out of his way to block you, so it’s natural to assume that he just doesn’t care; it’s not like you’re his concern anyway. always asks “who?” when your name is brought up, ouch! but little do you know that you’re literally running laps in his mind all day everyday; this is just his response because he’s never dealt with this. ever. to say the least, it’s a big shock when he pulls up to your door nearly drenched from the rain outside with one of your missing pieces of clothing in hand because he ‘randomly found it lying around his place’ — not true! he’s spent all this time debating what to do with it because he couldn’t bring himself to throw it away! he expects that you’d take it from his hands and leave him outside — silly xiao! you’re definitely not going to leave him to catch a horrid cold. instead you open the door further and invite him in, telling him to take a shower while you make some tofu for him. he definitely doesn’t miss how you ask if he still knows his way around — like he’d ever forget.

albedo: the half-ex. you see, you’re broken up — but his family adores you. especially little klee, she’s always looked up to you. and it came as a shock that she was more hurt about your breakup than albedo despite being told that you were still on civil/good terms. truthfully? he misses you; misses the smile on his face whenever you’d agree to be the subject for his paintings that now hung proudly in the halls that you once danced along — it was heaven. of course, he’d never admit this to you, but he would to his little sister. it’s not like she’d understand anyway. he falters when you show up at his doorstep wearing that sweet smile; too bad it’s for the little munchkin running past him and into your open arms. she asks you to play and hang out with her, but really she can’t stand seeing her brother in peril, so she takes it upon herself to fix it. albedo can’t take his eyes off you awhile you play dolls with klee. he swears she’s smarter than she seems when she takes her two dolls in wedding apparel and says it’s you and ‘bedo because “(name) and albedo should be married but they’re both acting like dummies!” and with that, she runs out of the room and leaves you two to talk. god bless klee.

When kazuha finally was back from his one-week trip from liyue, the first thing he saw when he opened the door to your shared house, smiling, was your body, covered in blood. The smile immediately fell from his face, his eyes filling with tears, and sobbed next to your dead body. He wouldn’t bring himself to see your beautiful face covered in blood, the warm and tender hand he’d kissed goodbye just a week ago cold and limp. After your death, everyone on the crux tried cheering him up, but it wouldn’t, no, couldn’t cheer him up. He refused to see anyone else, and instead took it upon himself to visit everywhere he couldn’t bring you to see. But every time he went back to Inazuma, it was bitter. He rented a new house - he couldn’t bring himself to go to the house that you shared, the house that he found you murdered in, but he always went to your grave, to tell you his newest poem about the future you would’ve had together that seemed so bright but ended so soon.

Venti

When he found out you died, it was the day after you two were dancing in a bar, both happily laughing. Now, all he could see was your corpse, resting almost calmly on a flower field.

“No. Not you too, i can’t lose you as well. Please let this be a joke… hey! It's not funny… hey, please…”

He couldn’t handle this. You weren’t, couldn’t be dead. He couldn’t lose you too, not with what he’s lost already. He shouldn’t have let you close, not with how everyone he’s known is already leaving him. Your death was all his fault. He wanted to hold you one last time, but he thought it would make it worse.

“Hey…hey! im sorry… im so, so sorry… its my fault you’re like this… please, ill do anything just please come back…”

He kept apologizing and crying next to your body, scared to touch you, but more scared to leave you. When you got buried next to the tree where you first met, he’d always, always visit to tell you what happened or play a tune for you. He’s devastated and still thinks it’s his fault you died, started being more and more far away and drinks more, just to feel your touch, hear your voice, and see that bright smile you had every day. Diluc takes pity on Venti and gives him free drinks once in a while, but it doesn’t ease his despair. Not in the slightest.

Xiao

When Xiao visited wanshu inn to see you, the innkeeper said that you died. He stood there in shock, staring at the innkeeper and asking for her to repeat what she said. Again, the innkeeper said that you died. His eyes stung with tears, a new feeling, a feeling of hopelessness.

Why didn’t you call his name?

He couldn’t figure it out.

If you called out his name, why couldn’t he hear you?
