my names tula, and i'm a registered pokémon nurse with a horrible tendency to ramble. i live in unova and do some work here, but i mainly travel to other regions for this.

i am a former member of team plasma. former. my username is ironic because i cope with humor.

i ran away from home at age 14- it's a long story - and ended up being indoctrinated in. i, like many others, were lucky to have a sort of "snap to reality" moment after ghetsis' first arrest, before the formation of neo plasma, but not before i spent 10 years of my life working for him. many people are shocked by how open i am about my experience, but i think its extremely important to talk about these things: if i could help just one person leave this cycle, or keep someone from entering it, then it would make the shame worth it.

i have dedicated my life to helping pokémon, as a way to attone, i suppose. my darling solosis, mini, travels with me, though i must admit she's quite the spoiled brat. to have such an innocent creature love and trust you is the most healing experience someone can ask for, and i acknowledge that i was so very lucky. i had a home to return to, i was able to find work despite my history, and physically, i bear only a scar on my back and a missing finger... also just so we all know i am a natural ginger and i am not going to dye my hair please stop asking thanks

- sapient pokemon interaction is okay! tula will generally believe them. shes seen weirder. legendaries will be met with much more scrutiny, but kindness.

- i keep her age purposefully vauge for "pokemon timeline makes no sense" reasons, but you can generally imagine her somewhere between 26-30, probably.

- shes been through a lot and often copes with humor, which means she tends to come off the wrong way a lot of the time

- though open about her time in plasma, she doesnt like talking about how it affected her

- she speaks before thinking and often posts in bursts do to this

well it's gotta be bad buddy, doesn't it? the scene itself is an absolute masterpiece, i remember i was flabbergasted and so happy watching it, i loved how dynamic, funny and memorable it is. but the overall wrap up of patpran's story was amazing. the parents kind of casta dark shadow over my happiness but as long as my guys are happy so am i. all the main characters are happy and satisfied with their lives, now having formed a tight friend group of their own. pat and pran make me feel a lot if i think about them too much so let's move on <3 ps. i like to think wai did his fair share of inner self work and apologised sincerely somewhere down the line

in terms of plot smth silly that had me gagged and i still find precious comes to mind - aoki and mio on the swings in episode..i'd like to say 2? 3? of kieta hatsukoi; i'd hate to spoil it for those who still haven't seen it (though it's a jbl staple imo and one of my faves and im desperately recommending it)

ohh, the love is science? hanger scene. this is how you direct a memorable climactic scene! how you script and execute a dialogue so completely in character! this is how you do chemistry! i can barely look at the screen and they're not even being explicit, that scene has got me in such a grip i almost feel like gatekeeping it but i've said it before - the world doesn't deserve markouwen but they deserve the world.. and for that i have to actually promote them lol (i am not gonna show the actual scene cause i want everyone to experience this whole thing for themselves)

i went back to this scene so many times. fun fact, i spent dozens of hours on a waantul post that never came to fruition so this scene was everything to me and more, i've replayed it so many times

to be completely honest there are so many memorable amazing scenes which have beautiful cinematography or express an idea amazingly or made me scream and hit pillows or bawl but i'm not making a rec list (which i have to remind myself every single time i'm answering a faves question hahah) but they are just too many (some of which concentrated in certain shows), i mean i've watched over a 100 bls at this point and things are a blur

recent faves are def the laundry scene in Stay By My Side and ..some thing or other in basically every episode of My Personal Weatherman lol

great ep once again, I know the frieren fight with the demon guy had some sakuga but I certainly didn't expect to see some this ep too it was really good. and also the interactions between fern and stark are p funny they got good chemistry

extremely good ep, might even say it was better than ep 1 like it was just that great. the direction is still great, I especially liked how they lined up the ep title card with andy saying the line and it didn't break up the action much, hope that's a recurring thing tho also hope they're a bit more ambitious with it. it was also pretty funny seeing all the shaft style shots, which makes sense cause there's a buncha old shaft staff in this but still. the sakuga was really good too. also we got both the op and ed and they're both great, visually and musically, tho the OP visuals go hard as hell. anyway next week we're getting gina so I'm very pogged up for my queen yuuki aoi getting to shine for 2 eps

Pokemon Horizons Ep24

pokemon's back from it's 2 week between cours break with a very lore heavy ep which we already knew would be the case from the previews but I expected to get a lil more action near the end. anyway despite being so lore heavy it was mostly about riko's grandma and not the lucius stuff the plot is built around like I expected. wasn't a bad ep tho. next one looks like it'll have a lot of action so that'll be fun. and in 2 or 3 more eps that new gaki girl will get some more screentime which should be good too

DON'T YOU HATE BEING RIGHT??? last week I said: "I just hope they have new cure forms as adults instead of transforming into their younger selves." and guess what the hell happened? MAN I'm so mad. and toei only did it to save costs too cause they reused the stock footage from the old show, man this is so disappointing... but the rest of the episode was really good, even the action after the transformation was good (yoshiyama yuu 🙏) I'm just let down they chose to do this instead of giving them new adult cure forms 😔

great episode, as you'd expect from imas, with an especially good performance from shizuka at the audition at the end. also got to see a bunch more girls do stuff, like anna streaming, so that was fun. I was thinking that it's a shame that the show is only 12 eps (despite being cg) cause I wanna see the girls more but then I realized U149 was also just 12 so it should be fine. it's imas anyway so I'll enjoy my time with it while I can

i sat down for 5 minutes (no less) and tried to come up with a good summary for the story i am writing now & i literally can't say nothing without spoiling everything, hahah.

so, here is a liiiiiiiittle wip for you <3

He smiles into your skin and bites it, licking the pain away immediately. He wants you and he wants you to know he wants you. He wants everyone else to know you are wanted by him too. A purple mark blooms on you. You tremble, hands clasping his arms. “Why are you so good for me? To me.” He leans his head at yours and kisses the crown of your head, pulling you even closer to him. “Ran.” “Tell me.” You wait a second. Two. Three. More. Your breath intensifies and he can feel your heart beating so impossibly loud against his own, he closes his eyes in a miserable attempt to calm himself down. To gain a little stability in an anomaly that is you. 

Somehow, he knows that what you are about to say isn’t pleasant and that’s why he doesn’t usher you to carry on. He litters your head and neck in kisses; in his love. “You don’t really like me, Ran, don’t you? You like Aoki.” Your fingers are intertwined through his and he can’t remember who did it. You or him. “Bullshit. I don’t even remember her most of the days until you bring her up. Just what did she tell you? We never had anything going on.” “Maybe. But you don’t like me. You like her and that’s why we shouldn’t.” His kisses come to a halt. He turns you around and searches your face. You don’t look sad or disappointed or discouraged. Maybe a little flustered and your eyes shine a different way. He cups your face, thumbs caressing your cheeks. “Bullshit.”

“Yeah?” 

“Yeah.”

“You are a bad liar, Ran.”

Freezed, near the kitchen countertop stands Rindou. He takes his glasses off and wipes them with the hem of his shirt. He doesn’t dare to look at you and besides he isn’t even sure he will see you. Your presence isn’t for him and maybe it never was. Maybe he was never that important in your life; only a connecting chain to something bigger than him. 

He can’t find you.

“I am sorry.” You whisper when Ran is gone to his room and your eyes are almost dry.

Rindou frowns. There’s no reason for you to apologise to him, and yet he leans into you, his forehead burping at your shoulder. “Whatever you say or you do is okay. Remember? We accept each other as we are. You don’t have to pretend to be someone else around me.”

“I love you, Rindou.” Again, it’s a whisper, a small meaningful promise. “I love you so so much.”

“I know.” He laughs, suddenly uncomfortable and very shy.

That new foreign smell of yours hits his nose and Rindou inhales it fully, filling his lungs with it and a realisation comes at him so simple, he thinks he knew it from the beginning. The shock he imagined he would go through isn’t here. Nothing is. Just acceptance and your detachedness in which he loses himself.
