i really wish they have group chats here on tumblr. i wanna start one up with all the steve lovers and another one with all the viv lovers. and then the joe Hoes can start one up of their own.

i love how we all have our own personalities as well, akin to the personas of who we stan in the first place.

all the steve lovers are like steve- love to ramble, very inward-thinking.

joe hoes are wild and chaotic, love to use all caps, love to use emojis, love to talk and obsess every chance they get, and they show up in the *droves*, but we been knew.

the sav stans think they’re better than everyone else (LOL I KID I KID) but they kinda radiate popular girl vibes if ya know what i mean? and i know deep down they’re actually very very nice and sweet!

phil stans are kinda rare-ish on here so i can’t say much about them.

viv stans (and i’ll group the rick stans in here as well) are very friendly and sweet and nice and CALM most importantly!

but, let’s be real, none of us are normal about our men. whatsoever. we just love them too much!!!

there’s a severe weather threat in the metroplex this afternoon so i decided what better day to marie kondo my life and living space? i have too much stuff and have been wanting to do a deep clean and get rid of a bunch of stuff i have that just takes up space and makes my living area feel cluttered.

i have a history of storm anxiety, especially tornados since I live in Texas, but doing this is helping me focus on taking control of my life where I’m able to and accepting that nature is something i have zero control over. I’ve prepared my shelter in place area for a tornado the best I can, and knowing i’m doing everything i can to be safe and prepared already makes me feel more at ease.

A philosophy i’ve been working on practicing is letting go of my feelings of fear and panic for situations outside of my control. When i think of worst-case-scenario situations, i think of how i can make myself both as safe as I can, and as calm and peaceful as possible. The reason is, as morbid as it sounds, i don’t want my last thoughts and feelings before death to be of fear and pain. I want to relax and understand that I did all that i could and everything else is out of my hands so i might as well occupy myself with things that make me happy.

I find it so funny that all these philosophers and religious figures throughout history and whatnot are like “release your earthly desires they’re holding you back” and are all anti desire anti pleasure because it’s like. No? No! Having a connection to Things and People is not bad! It’s actually pretty good! It’s natural to want things and it’s healthy to want things even if you don’t need them.

The problem only comes in when you care about things more than people or treat people like things. And like yeah wanting things or people you can’t have can be upsetting. But there are in fact adult reactions to wanting something or someone you can’t have. It’s a very human thing! People have been dealing with it forever!

Anyway I just find it funny that there is significant historical precedent of people going “well I guess I’ll just not want anything ever again” because WOW what a non-solution to your problems

isn't it weird how if you get up at 7 or 8, do your work all day, then have free time and go to bed at 11 that's absolutely fine

but if i said i get up at 10, do fun stuff in the morning then work in the evening and go to bed late, i could be called lazy, nevermind that i'm getting just as much or MORE work done as i would in a traditional work day

#ramble #idk if this is a me problem or not #i've tried to do the early rise early bed thing again and again and it just does not work for me doing freelance right now #maybe it's bc i used to work at a bar so i'm more comfortable being active in the evening #i love working at night because there's less going on to distract me #what used to happen is i would get up early then fight executive dysfunction all day saying i couldn't do fun stuff until i did my work #then my will to work would hit at 10pm and i'd be up till 2am anyway #right now my routine is waking up later and playing a game or knitting for an hour or so and then working in the afternoon and evening #something something capitalism and 9-5 and adhd don't go together #this sounds like i'm just making excuses but it works and i'm actually getting shit done and sleeping enough so i don't see the problem #i just figured i'm probably going to sit and do nothing for a few hours in the morning anyway so i might as well give myself permission to
