a lesson on good karma digimon survive week 2024 day 4: supporting characters

#digimon #gomamon #digimon survive #survive week #survive week 2024 #rambling ahead. you don't have to read the tags beyond bc there's nothing that important tbh... you can just look at the art...#exhausted from being out and doing housework yesterday. then got a last-minute job with very urgent deadline today #finished everything but yeah basically i did anything but art so #irl do be like that aint it #anyway it's been a long time since i played survive and my memory isn't that good #but i always remember the part where we had to protect the gomamon #and later they showed us a path via the dam allowing the team to continue exploring #it reminded me of just how important it is to be nice and do good things whenever and wherever possible #and be mindful with the not-so-good things you do and say #be it good or bad. karma is real even if you don't know when it will get back at you #and you know in visual novel settings. whatever choice you make really determines what happens later on #yeah believe it or not i end up thinking stuff like that by helping a bunch of adorable seal mons...#mmm i'm officially behind now so i might as well take my time while also rest a bit haha ;;#this week has been fun with survive week tho fr. even though i came in unprepared (when will i change)#gotta keep surviving #png

When you backread through a fun conversation you had with someone for hours an angel gets its wings

#I was talking to my brother about Norman doors and I had fun in my UX class and he was telling me about demon cores and the trolley problem #in his class. AND I remembered to take my meds today so I can feel every cell in my body. i can feel the neurons rubbing together #and yesterday I infodumped about the specialists bullseye chart to crow and how it ties with witch hat atelier #WHICH I MANAGED TOGET THEM TK READ IM SO HAPPY. I MAKE SQUEALING GUINEA PIG NOISES EVERY TIME THEY TELL ME WHAT THEYVE READ SO FAR. AHH #i might not even be scratching the surface with witch hat there are so many themes i could not possibly fathom or go over my heasd #and thats what makes it so exciting there are so many spaces in between that you can fill with your thoughts and i. i #waves my hands around manically #for anyone interested in my insane ramblings. the bullseye chart is from are we all scientific experts now by harry collins #in my own words its basically saying everything we know about anything is a game of broken telephone #and it discusses how information gets lost in translation between experts and laymen including things that arent in control #one of the main points was how things that happen between experts are complicated including debates and findings #that you can only really understand thru research and experience in that field and cant be smoothly shared without it being reworded #and risking some of those key points. or even concepts that are hard to understand that cant be shared at all #like if you tried to tell me about how DNA works using words scientists are familiar with but i am NOT- i risk missing concepts that i need #to understand to know how it works on the level you understand. or i risk having it reworded and understanding it but not on that level #AND IT DOES TIE TO WITCH HAT THE WITCH AND NORMAL FOLK COMMUNITIES I PROMISE. ITS SO INTERESTING #anyway i spent hours reading back thru that conversation and i might as well admit it goes for almost every fun conversation i have #and it might be the 20mg of adderall in my body but i am in such a state of peace and love i have to verbalize it. ahh #yapping

today has been weird like not even Bad other than the weather i wast just generally in an unpleasant mood but then i also got three grades back and all of them were good so silver linings i guess? but i was generally doing things i should not do such as moping and dwelling

genuinely kind of terrified as to what will happen to me when i see bare live in three (three!!!!!!!!) days. i will either go fully insane or transcend mortality or perhaps both. either way i will most likely end up full weeping.

#going to see bare with my mother will be on par with seeing deh with her in regards to our [gestures vaguely] relationship #we will hold hands. we will cry. we will have emotionally intense conversations on the walk back to the hotel.#but guys. i genuinely tried to listen to a clip of just an instrumental from the show and teared up.#bare is just. Such a big part of who i am. i literally wouldn't be anything like i am today without it and the people it brought me.#and i laugh and joke but this is Such a full circle moment for tvp nation.#like i am currently about to self-produce a workshop of my play that has professional theatre companies interested.#and all of that started from writing a silly little show about bare when i was 14 to make cool people online laugh.#and since then the plot of bare (peter's version) Has Happened To Me Twice but i have been so so brave about it #i haven't listened to the full soundtrack since last year and i've been going cold turkey in Anticipation #i just Know my ***** is going to have the most insane reactions on it.#god. it's so crazy to me. what if you were gay and catholic and an angsty pop rock punk opera teen and you grew up to be happy.#anyways. in my feels. going to have lunch and listen to bway breakdown before class.#BECAUSE I GO TO A CLASS NOW!!! HELLO WIFI nightly thoughts anon again, first of all wish you to enjoy your vacation! Then I love reading so much about Marine and Arlecchino it was soo sweet ! I'd like to know more about Marine story if possible, you mentionned she can't see and has artificial skin, is she a puppet similar to Scaramouche and got broken or was she created blind ?

ohohoho you're encouraging meeeeeeee eheheheheheeheh :]

Marine is sort of like Scaramouche in that she's an artificial creation of an archon- she's specifically referred to as a "doll" at several points rather than a puppet

she's a creation of Focalors specifically to help guide Furina and keep her company (and on the right path), since Focalors knew that false godhood is a very long and lonely process, and thus Marine has a kind and motherly nature even if she doesn't completely understand it which often make young children and Melusine feel safe and protected around her. Focalors specifically made her without sight, since she wanted Marine to embody the phrase "justice is blind", and ever since then Marine has been looking after Furina and helping her and Neuvillette run Fontaine, which is why i said she's considered third in Fontaine's hierarchy

a few things about Marine's body specifically: -she has visible ball joints like a porcelain doll, and her skin has the texture of porcelain as well -the areas around her joints are decorated with wave-like engravings -the energy used to power her comes from Pneuma-Ousia reactions inside her body -her heart is made of the purest chunk of Condessence Crystal and is extremely important. if her heart is sufficiently damaged, Marine will shut down. it can be replaced, but crystals of such high purity and size are extremely hard to find -because of what she's made of, Marine's body can crack and limbs can break off, but those can be repaired -Marine can't see anything, not even light, and her lack of a need for sleep means she takes many nighttime walks -does not have a Vision, her affinity with Hydro is natural thanks to Focalors -her Arkhe is Ousia -she rarely opens her eyes since her irises and pupils are completely white and she thinks humans might find it frightening -she is waterproof and spends a lot of her limited free time underwater :]

Marine is the one who taught Furina how to fight (just in case!) and uses a rapier that's part of her parasol (the umbrella part is actually water that's being held in place). she was also fairly lonely due to Furina pushing her away and most of Fontaine's citizens finding her dependable but unnerving but has made more friends since Fontaine became more accepting and less formal over the years- she and Navia are close and Neuvillette is basically her best friend for life, while Wriothesley holds her in high regard because she occasionally does work for the Fortress. Marine's usually calm and gentle, but she's unafraid to become violent if anyone threatens her loved ones, and is very proficient at using her sword

and yes, Arlecchino knows. she's one of the only people who knows of Marine's nature, other than Furina and Neuvillette

#genshin talk #genshin oc #wifi's ocs #focalors wanted her to embody 'justice is blind' so she could help judge furina without bias in the final trial #fun fact marine is mostly very calm and doesn't have any huge reactions to anything until after the prophecy is averted #because after that she's technically released from her duties and begins expressing herself more #notably she becomes more genuinely happy and more excited over everyday things #she also likes ballet and sometimes dances in the opera house when it's empty #furina pushes her away because she fears what will happen if marine finds out about her secret #but after the archon quests she's like 'MOM I'M SORRYYYY'#arlecchino finds out when marine trusts her enough to take her gloves off and show her #to arle it doesn't make her any less marine. she's very accepting of it and adores her either way #this does occasionally lead to marine coming into the room with her arm broken off and arlecchino just going 'not again'#auruhgrhghgh im love them #me and my friend were screaming about arlecchino today it was so fun #good evening

#just realized a little too hard that im packing my entire life up into a single suitcse and hitting the road for a month. in a month.#im also turning 24 in a month #both of these things perturb me in some direction or another.#its also 1030pm but i am Vibrating unfortunately #also realized vividly today that ill be attending my college graduation less than 48hrs after landing back in canada #and that will be after 30+ hours in transit coming directly from a 12 hour time difference #so that'll be fun #not really how i imagined graduating when i started my freshman year?#actually dear lord i could not have fathomed Being Here when i was 19 and starying college #i remember hearing about the program im currently doing and thinking 'wow that's incredibly cool but im just not the kind of person #who can do that sort of thing'#i still periodically have moments where i just look around and have to be like Yes I Really Am Here #and yeah turning 24. in a month. that's far too grown up of an age for how i feel inside.#and yeah trvaelljng to 5 vountires in a month again? wild.#didnt think anything could top seeing the great pyramids for out of body wild experiences And Yet. we sure are gonna be going some places.#also being in a serious relationship huh. didnt think this was going to happen until i was 35 if ever.#skmeone needs to tell me why my brain decided to watch wedding dress youtube shorts today with a vague expectation that might be relevant #to my life within a decade.#so yeah all that to say my life feels fucking insane to me.#I Am Not Qualified For This Experience Help #(this is not entirely negative im just ??????)

What happens to Pokémon after they pass?

Asking the real tough questions lately, aren't ya anon?

Well, there isn't a whole lot of difference between Pokemon and humans in this regard.

Our physical bodies just kinda reach the end of their journey, some just longer than others.

What happens to us afterward is left up to everyone in their personal lives.

Pokemon are treated with respect, and we have places like the Pokemon Tower in Lavender Town that is well reported of high supernatural activity.

Some pokemon might have a strong connection to the supernatural or higher power, so theor power might linger on for a while, but most of the time, life passes on pretty peacefully.

It's really hard to continue with this kind of topic without getting too philosophical but what's the most important thing to note is that the life we have here is precious and wonderful.
