Anxietatem Crucis

Hoje cheguei (mais uma vez) a uma conclusão incrível sobre a natureza da ansiedade que habita em mim e que, diferente das outras, dessa vez me ajudou e não só me deixou com mais dúvidas sobre esse assunto.

Aqui está a bomba: será que a ansiedade que você sente não é falta de autocuidado?

Primeiro vamos destrinchar essa palavra tão usada em tudo quanto é lugar: autocuidado. Ao pé da letra, significa 'conjunto de ações que cada indivíduo exerce para cuidar de si e promover melhor qualidade de vida para si mesmo'.

Mas o que pensamos? O significado que essa palavra remete à nossa memória mais imediata e diria que até inconsciente é: passar creminho na cara, cortar unha e me distrair com algum conteúdo sem sentir culpa de 'estar perdendo tempo'.

Agora, a conclusão que cheguei hoje: o que pensamos do autocuidado não é autocuidado, mas sim, distração. Autocuidado mesmo é cuidarmos da própria vida e fazermos aquilo que será bom pra nós (e não necessariamente agradável também). É limpar sua casa se isso te traz bem-estar (mesmo se o ato de limpar ser torturante). É ir à academia se isso te traz conforto no próprio corpo (mesmo que ir à academia seja algo torturante). É fazer aquele curso se isso te traz evolução profissional (mesmo se o tempo gasto estudando poderia ser revertido em alguma outra tarefa).

Então, qual é a conclusão? Se você, assim como eu, tende, naturalmente, a servir os outros mais do que a si mesmo, talvez fique preso à ilusão de que servir outros é seu autocuidado, mas não é. O seu bem-estar ainda é limpar sua casa, ir à academia, fazer o curso, caso isso te traga uma boa recompensa como citei no parágrafo acima.

Entendeu? Independente de você, o conceito de autocuidado ainda é o mesmo e ainda é aplicado do mesmo jeito. No final das contas, você ainda vai ficar bem se tiver se cuidado e ainda vai ficar mal se tiver cuidado mais dos outros ou do seu trabalho do que de você.

Frases do tipo 'seu bem-estar é o meu bem-estar', 'sua felicidade é minha felicidade' estão na minha lista negra após essa reflexão.

Shamir - “Our Song”

"Our Song” could very easily be a double entendre for Shamir if he wanted it to be, because in the end, it’s his, even if very alone. Leading up to the release of his new album, Homo Anxietem, independent music’s ultimate outsider in bridging pop conventions with outside-the-box approaches to songwriting under his own rules has juxtaposed familiarity against his own uncanny writ in style. That being said, singularity is the story of “Our Song” -- literally in more than one way -- in the throes of its relationship end days while framing the many eras of his work and that of indie’s history from the ‘80s underground, Aughts mainstream breakout, and today's genre lawlessness to create fully alived guitar pop made perfectly unusual, as fluorescent guitars impress themselves onto its underlying morbidity. “I remember when you visit me just to see me one last time / ‘Cause I lived above the record store / And when they play our song, I want to die,” he sings in its final moments. There’s something that hits different about a song when you can place your finger on it with personal effect. In this instance, Shamir has used that personal effect to make a song that will always stands out against the rest.
