Been reflecting on the years passed since Sia had that whole controversy with the autistic community and in light of the somewhat recent news (I know it's been a few months but I have been dealing with medical trauma stuff so I wasn't ready to speak about it till now) that Sia discovered she's autistic and I'm happy she finally found that part of herself but I'm still so sad over her empty-feeling apologies she's put out and I just really hope this can be an opportunity to reflect on the situation and put out a more genuine apology and to tell her fans to stop attacking autistic people who are rightfully upset.

It's just this thing has hurt so much because I can't listen to her music without feeling that sadness over the harm she caused. All I want is an apology that directly addresses the extent of the harm. It's not an irredeemable action to me but I just want to know she's going to change for the better.

Idk how to explain the mourning process that you can go through when someone who's done something horrible especially to an aspect of your identity like that.

I want to listen to her music because so much of it has gotten me through so much hardship especially with medical trauma and an abusive family member and I can't really find music that is like hers because it's so unique but it just hurts to listen to.

Idfk man. Music is so important to me and I'm exhausted. Here's to hoping for the better.

Il governo islandese ha annunciato il ritiro immediato di tutti i vaccini contro il Covid-19, poiché il sistema sanitario è alle prese con un enorme numero di morti improvvise legate ai vaccini.

Secondo l’annuncio del governo, il virus Covid-19 è ora “proprio come qualsiasi altra influenza” (lo è sempre stato) e a seguito dell’ondata di morti e danneggiati improvvisi, i cittadini non potranno più ricevere le vaccinazioni.

Il problema dell'eccesso di mortalità non riguarda solo l'Islanda ma anche tutti gli altri paesi fortemente vaccinati!

Some people in the comments assumed he was talking about Sakura instead of Sai.

Is this true he was referring to Sakura as the "weakling?" Or is it just antis hating on Sakura again?

Sasuke didn't say anything about the team. In the Viz translation, he mentioned Sai being his replacement, but he didn't say anything about how there was already a weakling on the team:

Il governo di Giorgia Meloni, fatto più grave che sia una donna a prendere questa decisione, sta introducendo politiche per permettere alle organizzazioni anti-aborto di accedere liberamente ai consultori, con finanziamenti dal Piano nazionale di ripresa e resilienza (Pnrr), riducendo di conseguenza le risorse disponibili per la sanità pubblica.

Una misura specifica è stata adottata attraverso un emendamento proposto dal deputato Lorenzo Malagola di Fratelli d’Italia, già passato in commissione Bilancio della Camera, che modifica l’articolo 44 del disegno di legge del Piano riguardante la sanità.

L’emendamento, come riportato dal Quotidiano Sanità, autorizza le regioni a destinare i fondi del Pnrr per la salute a sostenere i servizi nei consultori che possono includere, senza oneri aggiuntivi per le finanze pubbliche, l’apporto di enti del terzo settore con esperienza nel supporto alla maternità.

Questo emendamento in realtà è superfluo, poiché la legge 194/78 già permette ai consultori di collaborare con volontari come assistenza per le maternità difficili, il suo scopo reale è quindi quello di fornire sostegni finanziari pubblici ad associazioni vicine al governo e palesemente contrarie all’aborto. Un attacco senza precedenti alla legge 194.

Organizzazioni come la “Pro vita e famiglia” promuovono proposte di legge come quella di costringere le donne a sentire il battito cardiaco e vedere un’ecografia del feto prima di un aborto. Le forze che sostengono il governo in alcune regioni hanno già dispiegato tutta la loro ideologia anti abortista. Per esempio in Piemonte, dove il “Movimento per la vita” ha ricevuto l’autorizzazione per gestire uno spazio di ascolto fetale negli ospedali.

I consultori offrono già supporto a chi sceglie di proseguire una gravidanza, semmai sono fortemente limitati nei fondi e nel personale. In Italia l’accesso all’aborto è tra i più bassi al mondo mentre l’obiezione di coscienza degli anti abortisti è altissima e diviene spesso un ostacolo al lavoro dei consultori.

Il becero cinismo del governo Meloni non fa che aggravare il dolore e lo stress psicologico delle donne che cercano aiuto nei consultori. Iniziative come quella di costringere una donna ad ascoltare il battito cardiaco del feto non servono a far cambiare idea alle donne ma a colpevolizzarle, manipolando il senso di colpa.

Le donne del centrodestra non hanno niente da dire sull’argomento? Quando in Italia l’aborto era reato le donne delle classi più agiate superavano l’ostacoio andando ad abortire in Svizzera o in strutture compiacenti. Erano le donne dei ceti medi e bassi a dover ricorrere a strumenti, come le “mammane”, che spesso provocavano la loro morte. Difficile credere che tutte le elettrici del centrodestra siano ricche e favorevoli a questa ulteriore restrizione dei diritti delle donne che riguarda anche loro.

Ormai non è più questione politica ma etica. Un’involuzione che non riguarda soltanto le scelte in economia o in politica estera, discutibili ma legittime. Quando un governo politico si assume la responsabilità di diventare “governo etico”, obbligando a un’unica morale i suoi cittadini e violando i diritti civili e umani, va verso la strada intrapresa decenni fa da altri governi, rappresentati senza vergogna dal simbolo della fiamma nel logo del partito che esprime il presidente del consiglio.

Il professor Luciano Canfora è stato querelato da Giorgia Meloni esattamente per aver posto in rilievo questa comunanza ideologica con un passato totalitario di governi “etici”, che, al di là della parola usata per descriverla, nella sostanza pone esattamente il problema etico che molti italiani e italiane iniziano ad avere con questo governo.

Io sono del centro, quindi non credo di poter capire cosa significa Geolier nel vissuto di gente del Sud e di Napoli, però non sono convinta che sia solo un sentimento discriminatorio nei confronti della sua napoletanità ad aver pilotato il voto delle giurie lontano da lui. Credo che anche il genere che fa sia ancora percepito come troppo divisivo per l'affresco cerchiobottista che è Sanremo. Ma guarda sono assolutamente d'accordo, diciamo che a me personalmente tocca di più l'antimeridionalismo, perché veramente, basta un attimo fare 2 ricerche, andare a vedere le reazioni della sala stampa, i "non fate votare più i campani", i "quanti call center ci sono a napoli che schifo" e compagnia, per rendersi conto che qua l'antimeridionalismo ha giocato una carta importante.

Ma ovviamente quoto tutto quello che hai scritto, perché è vero, il genere è molto ostracizzato a Sanremo, e già dalla fascia 35+ è meno gradito. Cioè è anche il motivo del perché un Lazza non ha vinto con Cenere nonostante la sua sia la canzone del Sanremo scorso più ascoltata su spotify.

We're now in 2016. A year that was at one point considered to be the worst in recent memory, a title that would only be surpassed by every year that came afterwards. But in terms of music, 2016 brought us a lot of heavy hitters. Anderson .Paak's Malibu, Rihanna's Anti, Frank Ocean's Blonde, Drake's Views, Beyoncé's Lemonade, and David Bowie's final album, Blackstar -- I would be here all day if I tried to list every release that came out this year.

But what's notable about this year of releases isn't just the albums themselves, but the music business landscape they were being released into. After the fall of physical media, the rise of music piracy in the MP3 era, and the popularity of digital storefronts, streaming services like Spotify seemed to be this great equalizer. This is an easier opinion to have if you forget that Spotify is a massive corporation, and if you're not an artist living off royalties. The controversy over streaming is nothing new. But this is when we start to see the landscape of streaming splintering.

Drake's Views and Beyoncé's Lemonade were not released to the wider streaming market, with exclusive releases on Apple Music and Tidal respectively. Much like the current debate over streaming services for movies and TV, listeners were suddenly finding themselves stretched thin between different streaming providers. Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Amazon Music, Pandora, YouTube, SoundCloud, and many others. This wasn't a new phenomenon (both SoundCloud and Pandora predate Spotify by almost a decade), but now we're seeing more platform-exclusive releases. Listeners responded in a variety of ways. Some people switched platforms or kept multiple subscriptions to different services. Some bought physical copies of exclusive releases and imported them into their preferred platform. Some just didn't listen to the releases. And others went right back to piracy, repeating the same problem the record industry had been trying to snuff out for several decades now. Platform-exclusive releases aren't that common anymore.

As far as the music itself goes, as the sound of electropop wanes in mainstream popularity, dance music is starting to incorporate influences from a variety of Caribbean styles of music, specifically dancehall as seen with Rihanna's Work and Drake's One Dance, and tropical house, as seen with Justin Bieber's Sorry and Sia's Cheap Thrills (not featured on poll). However, I do want to differentiate the two, because dancehall originated in Jamaica in the 1970's while tropical house is a relatively recent genre that incorporates stylistic elements of dancehall and other subgenres of house music.

When it comes to mainstream rap and hip-hop, trap music is continuing to dominate. With music platforms allowing artists easier access to distribution, a sub-sub genre sometimes known as SoundCloud rap started to find mainstream footing. Some people also call this style "mumble rap". I will not, because I find the term needlessly dismissive and kind of obnoxious. All of these rising genres put together helped to contribute to a musical landscape that was moody and generally at a slower tempo than the pop music of previous decades. It's often reductive to attribute popculture at the time to the current zeitgeist, but considering how today's poll features songs with titles like "Work" and "Stressed Out", it's too tempting not to.

Il brano "Ma Quale Idea" di Pino D'Angiò, datato 1981, è tornato di moda in una nuova versione in duetto con i Bnkr44. La nuova reintepretazione è stata portata al Festival di Sanremo 2024 nella serata delle cover, oltre che registrata in studio con tanto di videoclip. Ma la notizia vera non è questa, ma il fatto che la canzone sia stata letteralmente trasformata, anzi distrutta, stuprata, a livello lirico, forse per paura di accuse di "sessismo". La parte "Per i fianchi l'ho bloccata E ne ho fatto marmellata" è stata cancellata, così come la strofa "M'è venuta una pensata Nella tana l'ho portata Le ho versato un'aranciata Lei si è fatta una risata Al mio whisky s'è aggrappata Cinque litri si è scolata Mi sembrava bell'andata M'ha baciato, l'ho baciata Ad un tratto l'ho agganciata Dalle braccia m'è sgusciata M'ha guardato, l'ho guardata L'ho bloccata accarezzata Sul visino suo di fata Ma sembrava una patata L'ho acchiappata, l'ho frullata E ne ho fatto una frittata" sostituita da nuove barre meno "scorrette".
