if u think that Rachel berry shouldn't have been the main character ur Kinda a dumb dumb. the core values of the show is annoying theatre kids who are outcasts finding solace in a goddamned glee club,, and you think fuckin qu*nn, br*ttany or s*antana were gonna give that energy??? absolutely fuckin not all they were going to do was be annoying popular people who learn the valuable lesson that popularity isn't everything but
and if the show wasn't about Rachel it would have been about kurt, mercedes, artie or tina being annoying theatre kids who are outcasts
I do actually like santana a fair bit, think Quinn was decent and brittany was definitely a character on the show, but there was nay a reason for a single one of them to truly be the main character
same anon as before but I think I may have made it seem like I was complaining at you but I was just complaining about others who don't have the third eye to see Rachel being the main character was the most logical conclusion xxx
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
oh yeah lmao for a second i was like "did i do something to make them think i thought that way..?" but yeah no i totally agreeee
the people who insist the unholy trinity carried the whole show are sooo dumb like baby they didnt even carry the three seasons you watched :/ but yeah i do like santana but damn those blonde bitches dragged her down so bad
and it always makes me mad that the show was about being an outcast and yet the popular kids always outnumbered the nerds. like 5:7
and dont get me started about the bullshit parade in 6x12 about how the gay, fat, black, disabled, jewish, asian characters need to open their hearts and minds and be more accepting of the cishet white male jock that lowkey bullies them all but is kind of sort of nice bc he didnt call the fat girl fat and let the gay kid take off his jacket before his friends tossed him in the dumpster and also hasnt started using slurs yet. he's a saint that deserves a million second chances (but his girlfriend is still a bitch and we hate her forever)
ugh. screaming internally, screaming eternally etc

hotness level: get away from me | meh | neutral I theoretically hot but not my type I pretty hot l gorgeous! | 10/10 would bang
hogwarts house: gryffindor | slytherin | ravenclaw l huffleputt
best quality: Her complexity! And at times her absolute batshit behavior ajskakajdjsjaj steal that baby queen 👏
worst quality: Her treatment of Rachel :( (babygirl </3)
ship them with: Santana, Rachel, Tina, Artie
brotp them with: Kurt and Mercedes
needs to stay away from: Finn 🖤
misc. thoughts: I love her but man how she treats Rachel makes Faberry offputting at times :( (which is probably hypocritical of me as a Pezberry stan but alas lmao)

top 5 best and worst glee storylines
5 worst
Brittany's president storyline
yeah,,, this is just awful, brittany is really rude and disrespectful towards Kurt but for some reason kurt apologises and has to make amends even though Brittany was so clearly in the wrong, then brittany makes some girl power point and tells the guy she told to be embarrassed about taking his shirt off that it's bullying to call her an idiot for believing in leprechauns, she makes some big issue over how underestimated she is, then proceeds to prove why she was so underestimated in the first place by pledging to ban hurricanes and taking her shirt off on Tuesdays, also some fucking dino themed prom... I hate it here
2. Santana's coming out
the writers did not put an ounce of thought into this, the guy that outed her is somehow the hero?? and the one scene in which Santana takes autonomy and comes out to her peers herself is cut from the episode??? also her coming out to her grandma, although naya is amazing in the scene, is just so out of place, the only time we hear about Santana's grandma prior to this is santana talking about her grandma verbally abusing her, and there's no mention of how the negative reaction from her grandma impacted santana, it's honestly like they forgot it until s6 (which is a dogshit season overall)
3. Rachel bombing her audition
this storyline would be fine if Rachel didn't get into nyada at the end, but her fucking her audition up, being immature and harrasing the dean is rewarded in the end which is just annoying. I understand that Rachel is an extreme person so it's not bad writing that she would act like that after failing an audition it's just shit that she get's rewarded for it
4. the troubletones
an arc where under appreciated glee club members stand up for themselves and get what they deserve??? no,, but what they do have is Santana calling finn fat and brittany joining because santana tricked her into thinking leprechaun asked her to, honestly didn't give a flying fuck if they won or not by the end.
5. Quinn's overall arc
the whole pregnancy thing just took up too much time when I wished s1 focused more on the outcast kids than it did Quinn, the pretty popular girl, but I would be fine with Quinn's arc if it ended at the end of s3, but alas it didn't and I needed to experience s4-6 Quinn. 'I do' is a fun episode but it's unfortunately a gem amongst shit rather than a representative of Quinn. her character goes around in circles to an annoying point, every 5 minutes she comes to the realisation that defining by herself isn't great but proceeds to define herself by more men, then cries when the men she's only using for status/money actually don't really love her.
5 best
s2 klaine
listen, I find the over glorification of s2 klaine compared to other seasons a bit annoying,,, but s2 klaine just hits man,, the fact that they're besties and so clearly in love with each other but their relationship naturally grows from being best friends to boyfriends throughout the course of the season is just so amazing to watch
2. Mercedes path to being a singer
Mercedes was unfortunately so often delegated to being the supporting character for other people's storyline but even though this storyline deserved more, I loved what we did see, mercedes is clearly a strong person who stands for what she wants and is empowered by it, she doesn't let knockbacks stop her from achieving her dreams and it shows a side to her character that we hadn't see before.
3. Kitty's overall arc
yeah this girl is an absolute evil bitch, but it's interesting to watch a character who actually leans into being an awful person instead of trying to justify it with some tragic backstory, yeah the storyline acknowledges kitty's background and how it may affect it her, but they never act like it completely overrides her behaviour, and it's really nice seeing how she changed and actually enjoyed being in the glee club
4. Kurt's coming out
I think this is a really well built up storyline, we understand kurt and we see how much he wants to be accepted by his father and the lengths he will go to get that, we also understand burt and the type of guy he is,, this build up to the tension to Kurt's coming out moment is done in a really nice way that just makes it so satisfying when we get that moment of kurt telling his dad he's gay and his dad does accept him, and I also like that his dad's acceptance isn't completely perfect but it feels authentic.
5. Santana in s4/5B
Santana just really comes into her own and blossoms at these points for me, she isn't just the petty his school cheerleader, she's caring, even if it's expressed in unconventional ways, and she has personal ambition and we see her actually work towards it,, this overall just feels like the perfect progression of high school santana, like it's the most clear and perfect upgrade that we see s6 doesn't exist in this household

But really what would be the angle of an unholy trinity based show? Brittany's going to have a riveting storyline where she believes in the easter bunny in which she'll definitely mention the something about pooping candy, Quinn will proceed to learn the same lesson she's already learned just to go back on it the next episode and santana's going to be a bitch to everyone and turn down a lead movie role to go on a two week holiday to Barcelona with brittany

I mean Quinn’s drawing of Rachel was heavily anti semitic but yay hearts I guess?
yeah, quinn was absolutely a bully and she made several antisemitic and transphobic remarks towards rachel in s1. however, a lot of people read her shitty behavior as something caused by her extreme self loathing and repression of her feelings towards rachel (hence, the hearts). still, it doesn't make her comments okay, but it does provide an explanation.

being a shifter and having a "fictional character" as a sibling is so wild bro. you hate her because she's a toxic, manipulative, crazy, selfish, egotistical narcissist. i hate her because she took the last bagel on a random tuesday morning. we are different.

shittany is a flop who failed senior year just to go on and do literally nothing of interest qu*nn is a flop that needs to come back to her old high school and have a sophomore kiss her ass to make her feel better about herself meanwhile santana comes back to high school and is the first to notice something’s off with marley and suspect her of an eating disorder while it’s crickets from everyone who’s been around her for the last two months and what do we get out of it we get out of sync dancing to some weak quinnifred vocals and a stupid bitch slap fight and uht stans wanna act like their trio is full of the most iconic characters on the show when in reality santana was the breakout star of the group and those other two blondes can die in irrelevancy idc they did nothing but drag her down and she’s a worse person the closer she is in proximity to those flops

blaine had both too much and not enough screentime, anyone who's super hyped about the uht is obnoxious, both rachel and schue hate is tired but rachel hate isnt as justified as people think xoxo
strongly agree | agree | neutral | disagree | strongly disagree
I think Blaine had the right amount of screen time. He had a little bit more screen time than necessary but I enjoyed most scenes with him. Though I wouldn’t have minded him having a few less solos.
strongly agree | agree | neutral | disagree | strongly disagree
Yeah, some fans are obnoxious, though I’d say that applies for tons of characters and not just the UHT. Though I don’t get people overhyping just one aspect about the show but anyways, just do whatever you want.
strongly agree | agree | neutral | disagree | strongly disagree
I think Rachel is definitely over-hated. I most certainly love her. Mr Schue, lets just say I’m not a fan but I think some people go a little overboard. Like, y’all, he’s fictional. Calm the f down.

You know, Santana wasn't wrong when she called Finn a hypocrite. It's also one of the reasons I hate his character. But how many instances of him being a hypocrite are there? Let's get into it.
2x09 (the very episode Santana called him out on it):
"I knew you were a lot of things, Rachel, and I loved you because and in spite of all of them, but... I never thought you were mean."
This is when Rachel confessed that she made out with Puck to get back at him. Mind you, this is after she lied to a younger foreign exchange student and tricked her to going to a crack house. And... that's not mean to you, Finn? It was surely vindictive and borderline cruel. Not to mention the comments she's thrown around that could definitely constitute as mean. Why is Rachel only mean when it pertains to how she hurt him specifically?
2x02:
"Well, Santana has a point. Just trying to be honest."
/
2x06:
"Hey, ever notice that when the Beiste gets all fired up, her underpants go right up her butt?"
So, you know how in season 3 where they (both the show and the fans) attempt to justify Finn outing Santana by pointing out that she body-shamed/bullied him. Well, surely, Finn didn't also body-shame/make fun of Coach Bieste in season 2. Which, yes Sam, Mike, and Tina were also guilty, Finn was the one who started it. And he didn't apologize because he was wrong, he apologized because Bieste was going to quit and "the football team was finally doing well." There's also the instance where Finn laughs at one of Santana's insults towards Rachel, then agrees with her.
Again, he was fine with Santana's bullying until the minute it was directed towards him.
2x09 (again):
"Look, I'm all for pumping up the team, making everyone feel special, but that's for practice. You don't take the star quarterback out before the big game."
Oh, but what was that in season 1? Where Finn admits he wasn't putting in as much effort into Glee because Jesse was being given the spotlight. Or in season 3 when he was openly jealous of and threatened by Blaine's talent. Also, earlier in season 2 when he prayed to be put in the game instead of Sam who was the better player. He was fine with others being pushed aside when he was the favorite, but God forbid it happen to him.
(Also, who was the one who threw Nationals with that kiss? It certainly wasn't Sam or Quinn or Santana)
2x01:
"...you got to admit the truth. You didn't do this because you love Glee Club. You did it because you love yourself more."
I'm not going to lie and say that Finn's wrong here. However, it's only a few episodes later in 2x04 that he's doing almost the exact same thing. Strong-arming Kurt into not dueting with Sam under the pretense that it's for the good of Sam and the club, when it's actually because he's still uncomfortable with Kurt being gay and projecting that onto Sam. Screw what Sam and Kurt want, screw that Quinn didn't even want to duet with or date Sam, it's all about what Finn (and Rachel) wants.
1x13
"No! They're both lying to me!"
Remember how (understandably) hurt and angry Finn was when he found out that Puck was the father? Remember how he was angry at Puck and refused to speak to him for months? Remember how their friendship was never the same after that?
So then why- after perpetuating the guise of being his friend and looking out for him- did he push Quinn into cheating on Sam with him? True, there was no pregnancy or baby involved, but that was still shitty. And unlike Puck, Finn faced almost no repercussion from Sam after that (even when he was being accused of seeing Quinn behind Finn's back later, he never threw that back in Finn's face).
3x19:
"Make you stand up and show everybody how much of a crazy liar you are? Yeah."
Fun fact, Finn lied and said he was disabled to get a job at a restaurant in season 1. So it's actually interesting how mad he is that Quinn was "faking" being in a wheelchair (she wasn't faking, she was exaggerating, but she still couldn't walk well after her accident).
2x08:
"Rachel, I'm sorry. I want to, but I can't."
Also fun fact, Finn quit the club and condemned Rachel in season 1 because she was protecting her (and the club's) reputation by hiring a show director that harped on them for their flaws. It's funny how when it came to protecting Kurt who was being continuously harassed and assaulted, Finn cared more about saving his reputation.
3x04:
"Santana, stay out of this."
I need two hands to count the number of times Finn's inserted himself into business that isn't his. Hell, this very episode he was eavesdropping on Mercedes trying to convince Santana to join the Troubletones. He reported Rachel to Schue when she was seeing Jesse, chimed into the conversation Mercedes was having with Schue, tried to control Sam's entire social life, etc. And, he was trying to push Brittany into making a decision because he didn't like the choice she had already made in this very moment. What Brittany does is none of Finn's business.
3x04:
"Yeah. All the guys in Glee Club call me that. And you're the leader, so that makes you the worst of them all."
It's interesting that Brittany pointing this out doesn't ignite the same rage from the fandom as Santana's fat shaming. The guys in the Glee Club- including Finn, who definitely shouldn't be one to talk- have been collectively calling Brittany an idiot for years at this point. How is that any better than Santana calling Finn fat? Why is only she a bully? Why are Finn's feelings the only ones that matter?
And before anyone says "well it's true," so? That means Santana calling Finn fat is also justified because it's true, right? Brittany doesn't deserve to be mocked repeatedly just because she isn't as smart at the people around her. That's ableism.
2x05:
"Guys whisper behind our backs about how we girls look every day. They objectify us all the time."
Speaking of the fat-shaming, why don't we rewind to why Santana started it in the first place. The Glee guys- including Finn- are (again) just as culpable of talking about the girls' bodies. Finn especially has done this consistently throughout the show (most of which being centered around Rachel, y'know, his girlfriend). It's so interesting that no one ever brings this up. Almost like it's acceptable for men, but the moment women cross that line, it's intolerable.
Finn is a hypocrite who's fine with allowing and participating in rotten behavior until the very moment he's on the receiving end. No, I won't be taking criticism. Argue with the wall.

How would you order the cheerios?
So I've decided to include everyone who was officially a cheerio at any point in the show
1. Kurt
My meow meow
2. Blaine
My meow meow but less so than kurt
3. Mercedes
Love this for her
4. Tina
She was a cheerio for 2 minutes but I think she's neat, all I have to offer is this drawing I did of her
Tumblr media
5. Santana
Generally I do consider her one of my faves but like at the bottom of my faves you know (all of my faves are this top 5 plus Rachel lol)
6. Kitty
CONTROVERSY, yeah she's an evil bitch but she's interesting to me, although the concept of liking a character whilst not condoning their actions goes over a lot of people's heads
7. Madison & Mason
Out of the two I preferred Mason but they are so intertwined that I'm just including them as one, overall neither of them ever had that much going on but from the breadcrumbs but I feel like I could have enjoyed them if they were actually given more to work with
8. Quinn
I feel kinda bad about putting her this low because they do try with her way more than they ever did for madison and mason, but for me what they did with her wasn't interesting, like they tried but was a bit of a bore for me fOR ME
9. Brittany
Yeahhh, if you're even vaguely familiar with me this shouldn't be surprising soz

Kurt Hummel & Quinn Fabray
Kurt Hummel
OTP: I can't say that I have one. I ship Kurt with a variety of men, and none of them named Blaine, but I don't believe that there's a true standout. Though, I do tend to lean toward Kurt/Dave Karofsky. All of the missed and wasted potential there pains me when I think too hard on it. BroTP: Kurt and Mercedes Jones, how I miss you. Kurt and Finn Hudson and Kurt and Sam Evans also have some sweet moments. OT3: Nothing comes to mind. NoTP: Kurt/Blaine Anderson. I wasn't a fan when the show was airing, am currently not a fan nearly a decade after it's ended, and never will be a fan.
Quinn Fabray
OTP: Quinn/Rachel Berry. Was it consistently written? No. But, the chemistry between Dianna Agron and Lea Michele was off the charts from the moment these characters first interacted onscreen, and I've yet to see a heterosexual explanation that truly justifies Quinn's absolutely heartbroken reaction when Rachel nods a tentative affirmative that she was "singing that song just for Finn and only Finn". BroTP: Quinn and Sam, Quinn and Mercedes (yet another good thing that Ryan Murphy and Co. tossed aside and left to rot), Quinn and Artie Abrahams, and, tentatively and primarily in fanfiction where it's handled well, Quinn and Santana Lopez. OT3: I suppose Sam/Quinn/Rachel, maybe? I know that Santana/Quinn/Rachel is another popular one, but my feelings toward romantic Quinn/Santana are very mixed. NoTP: Quinn/Finn, Quinn/Noah Puckerman, and basically Quinn/Any man the show ever tried to pair her with who isn't Sam. (And, even then, I align completely with the headcanon that Quinn is a repressed lesbian.)
Thank you so very much for asking! ❤ I apologize if any of my answers are lackluster, or not particularly interesting.
