Like she’s gotten used to how deafening the silence is, has gotten used to the thoughts in her head. She thinks more over her decision than ever before, with Caroline and Bonnie texting her almost constantly.

She knows how they feel now, how Damon feels, but the one person who has been silent in all this has been Stefan.

So it’s a shock when she runs into him one afternoon at the Grill. Unlike Damon, he doesn’t make any moves to talk to her, but as she waits for her takeout by the bar, they can only avoid each other for so long.

He held up a binder, trying to keep his smile light and playful but was unable to stop the sheepish look that twisted his features.

She glanced down, totally unamused at the binder, and then back to his face, her annoyed stare making him gulp nervously.

"Last night you said 'see you tomorrow' which I thought was you implying you wanted to work on the project today, y'know, as it's due Monday?"

"So you thought it was a good idea to turn up, unannounced, at 8am?"

"I did text. Several times in fact. You didn't answer"

Another damn Monday.

He had dreaded coming to work. He even overslept his alarm purposefully, which is something he has never done before. He dreaded his colleagues whispering behind his back, staring at him across the staff room as he made brews. He dreaded the moment Romana would surely call him in for an urgent meeting.

But somehow, somehow he had arrived at work.

It had all been a bit of a blur getting ready.

Braxiatel turns on the light, took off his coat and he hung it up on the coat stand beside him before surveying his office, noticing something wasn't quite right instantly. Of course, the housekeepers came in over the weekends to clean, but they knew not to touch anything involving paperwork or anything that was personal. But yet, there was a faint smell of Tom Ford's latest cologne lingering in the air. Something that stood out of place.

Someone unauthorized had entered his office.

Whoever had been in his office over the weekend, had been careless.

That was when he noticed it. They had put the picture of him and his brother standing in front of the Palace of Versailles two inches to the left of where it should have been.

To the ordinary person, they wouldn't have noticed or cared, but Braxiatel had his eyes on the smallest of details and was very particular about where items should be. Everything and everyone has their place in the great wide, universe. With watchful eyes, he checks to make sure nothing else had been disturbed. He checks his drawers, which were still locked from Friday, but someone had tried to open them with the way the second one was rattling.

He sat in his chair calmly, logging onto his computer before picking up the phone and dialing the security office.

“Hello, Security.”

“Hello, it's Irving Braxiatel. I need to speak to Narvin as a matter of urgency.”

I think it's safe to say I'll be going on an indefinite hiatus now! Life is just too busy at the moment and I'm feeling a little detached from the show anyway, knowing how my hyperfixations work it's likely my interest is gonna drift away soon. Though also knowing how my hyperfixations work and since this was my second time in sp fandom, I'll almost definitely be back in like 5-10 years lmao.

I'm leaving this blog up bc I think it will be fun to come back one day and see all the art and stuff I saved here. I also won't be fully out of reach since this is a sideblog and I still use tumblr, so you can always send me asks or message me. But I'll definitely be much more quiet from now on.

i'm begging you guys to start pirating shit from streaming platforms. there are so many websites where you can stream that shit for free, here's a quick HOW TO:

1) Search for: watch TITLE OF WORK free online

2) Scroll to the bottom of results. Click any of the "Complaint" links

3) You will be taken to a long list of links that were removed for copyright infringement. Use the 'find' function to search for the name of the show/movie you were originally searching for. You will get something like this (specifics removed because if you love an illegal streaming site you don't post its url on social media)

4) each of these links is to a website where you can stream shit for free. go to the individual websites and search for your show/movie. you might have to copy-paste a few before you find exactly what you're looking, but the whole process only takes a minute. the speed/quality is usually the same as on netflix/whatever, and they even have subtitles! (make sure to use an adblocker though, these sites are funded by annoying popups)

In conclusion, if you do this often enough you will start recognizing the most dependable websites, and you can just bookmark those instead. (note: this is completely separate from torrenting, which is also a beautiful thing but requires different software and a vpn)

you can also download the media in question (look for a "download" button built into the video window, or use a browser extension such as Video DownloadHelper.)

It is done! I feel both like I spent far too much time on this update yet not nearly enough. Some poses are a bit stiff but hopefully the battle itself still reads. I know not much progress was made plot wise, but trust me, there’s a few things in here that are going to become very important much later on in the story.

Leo’s Ninpo: The keen reader might recognize that a number of Leo’s attacks are ones he picked up from Gram Gram, but with a bit of that added portal flair. I really wanted to push the boundaries of where he takes his skills, but stay true to the belief that rather than becoming a heavy hitting powerhouse like his brothers, his strength lies in his ability to calculate and react on the fly. I also wanted to give some level of limitation to each of their gifts. For Leo, it’s less the number of portals he creates that exhaust him, but rather the size and amount of energy that passes through these portals and his ability to keep them stable during the transaction. He has also become much better at keeping his portals well protected (so that portal pirates can not interfere or rather, so that the pirates aren’t killed by stray laser beams rushing through). As far as the Portal Choppers, we’ll be coming back to those and how they work later on in the story…
