I'm on anon cuz my studyblr is a sideblog (beginnerbulletjournalist if you want to check it out) but I'm wondering what kind of journal you use, and any recs for ones with thicker pages.

Your blog looks great! I love the aesthetic you have going on with your icon.

For my bullet journal, I use a Greenroom notebook from Target, which has both its pros and its cons.

Pros: On the plus side, I love the cover design, which is really bright and gorgeous. The pages are also really faintly lined, and the paper feels really nice when you’re writing on it. They’re also pretty inexpensive and lie flat regardless of where you are in the book, which is great for both making spreads and taking photos.

Cons: The paper is pretty thin, so both my Crayola markers and Pigma brush pens ghost (although the brush pens are far worse). The binding is also a bit flimsy, so if you’re really hard on your bullet journal, these might not be for you.   

I also switch journals fairly often, so I love that each journal only has 40 pages (80 sides), but if you like to stick with one journal, that may not be such a great thing. It really could go either way!

As for other journals, here’s a few I hear are good:

Rhodia ($18): I’ve never used these, but I hear very good things about them. Their range of colours is also gorgeous!

Moleskine ($11): Again, I haven’t given these a try, but they’re a classic studyblr pick for bullet journals. 

Leuchtturm 1917 ($20): They have lovely paper, and the built-in index & dated pages are so nice, but I’ve found they don’t really lie flat. They’re also a bit expensive in comparison to some of the other journals I’ve listed. 

And a few which are little less expensive:

Peter Pauper Press ($11): They have such nice paper that’s great to write on, have cute designs (look at the foxes!), and they have a pocket & elastic. The size is also great, but they do have a real problem with lying flat.

Marimekko (3 for $14): These journals are made by a Finnish clothes company, which is probably why the patterns are so gorgeous! The paper is great, but the lines are a little wide & heavy for my liking. The one I’ve used is the Unikko Flexi Journal.

Barnes & Noble (up to $25): It’s a mixed bag with these journals, but there’s usually something nice in there so it’s worth a look (particularly if you have a gift card!)

If he feels like I forced him, then I’m sorry. When he asked me out, I misinterpreted it. But, it was his choice to ask me out, and it was his choice not to  correct me when I called him my boyfriend. I wouldn’t have been upset. I would have laughed at myself and waited until he was completely ready like I said I would. Fuck off.
