i mean just really process it. because the logistics of this bedroom just keep getting worse the longer i look at it.
that bed is not touching any walls. the shelf is blocking the back wall and there is clearly room to push it to the right.
the bed is only half-blocking the shelf, leaving an awkward gap behind the baseboard.
because the bed is so unnecessarily close to the bureau, he can't open the lower drawer without banging his shin.
the fact that the bureau is so close to the window makes it look like the bureau is also pulled away from the wall, although i'm willing to give tobias the benefit of the doubt on that one and say he just has a really narrow room because his family doesn't love him.
he's definitely banged his elbow trying to open that window with how cramped it is back there.
the position of the blanket implies tobias was sleeping with his feet towards the wall (possibly lying on the bed backwards if that's the baseboard we're seeing, although it might just be a big footboard).
as an added bonus, the model was clearly sitting with his hand resting on a ledge and they did not properly align it with the bed when they photoshopped him into this clusterfuck of a bedroom.
Little reminder: there will be 2 more rounds of preliminaries, the losing blorbos of this poll still have 2 chances of getting in the official bracket
Propaganda under the cut
Tobias (Animorphs)
"his mom left him and hes at least a little transcoded and also hes a bird for the rest of his life"
Isaac O'Connor (Paranatural)
"he's like me but specifically when i was thirteen which should tell you all you need to know about both me and him. emotional wreck of a lad who feels excluded from his friend group no matter what. drew a gjinka of a fruit bowl in art class. canonically a fan of hatsune miku. will apparently be eaten by a cat in the future and survive."
Trisana Chandler / Tris (Emelan book series)
"Grumpy girl just wants to be left alone with her books but oops she actually has such a big heart with so much love in it. Always annoyed about having to put down her book to help her friends or save a bunch of innocents. Also she's got trauma out the wazoo, her family didn't want her and she was always bullied for her weight, and then at like age ten she has to kill a bunch of people and live with THAT trauma."
Sokka (Avatar: The Last Air Bender)
"I also like meat, sarcasm, and boomerangs. On a more serious note, he's the only one out of his group of friends for the longest time without special powers (relatable when you're friends with super talented people), he really likes organization and charts (same), and he completely fumbles his first attempt at public speaking (painful, but same). We're also both just a little bit goofy."
Haruhi Fujioka (Ouran Highschool Hostclub)
"She gets into a rich kid school and immediately goes into debt. Constantly annoyed by rich kid problems (including but not limited to: buying them instant coffee instead of expensive ground coffee). She’s supportive but doesn’t let them walk all over her. The whole show revolves around everyone thinking she’s actually a boy just because she has short hair and wears the boys uniform instead of the girls one— and that’s relatable because i wouldn’t want to wear the girls uniform either it’s not great"
Shinji Ikari (Evangelion)
"THE LAST 2 EPISODES OF THE SERIES??? holy shit I've never actually related to some fictional character so much. his self image, attitude, emotions, decisions, relationships, etc; he's just. me. that's not even funny. also thank god this thing is anonymous i would've delete my blog outa shame"
Tobias!! I had to learn how to draw birds for this
[ID: Two digital drawings of Tobias from Animorphs. In the first one, he is a human with pale skin, medium length blond hair and bluish eyes, drawn from the waist up.. He is wearing a gray hoodie over a white T-shirt. He is slightly hunched over, with a nervous expression and clenched hands.
In the second drawing, he is a red-tailed hawk, standing with one eye turned towards the viewer. The background of both drawings is a purple sky with clouds, similar to the covers of the books. End ID.]
Reading Animorphs for the first time might post occasional updates if anyone cares enough to read them… Here are my brief thoughts from finishing The Invasion!
Animorphs: The Invasion was a lot of fun! I've been wanting to experience this series since I was a kid.
Something about long narratives always enticed me but for one reason or another buying 50 books just felt like... a lot! But I figure that now is as good a time as any to begin to experience these.
I'm kinda shocked at the end of this book. I knew that at one point or another one of these kids would morph more over two hours and become stuck. Like why else would the rule even be put in place? I always figured it was somewhere in the middle of the story, not in book one. So I'm shocked and excited as to where the story can go from here. In ways most books don't feel, this definitely felt like a pilot. And it is nice just to have some short easy books to read. I think the transformation aspect is more fun than I was expecting. Giving them the feelings and experiences of animals as opposed to just taking their form gives more weight to it all. Something about Tobias being the hawk and loving his experience as it resonated with me. I want wings too! I hope he enjoys his remaining life as a hawk.
animorphs doodles from the past month bc I've been in full hyperfixation mode since march. I read all the books and watched the (absolute chaotic masterpiece) tv adaptation, which I will hear NO slander of because it's incredible
also the scene from the illusion where ax and tobias bond made me WEEP
I would also like to formally apologise for the lack of tobias and marco art, I never got round to doing designs of them and their morphs bc I'm in the middle of moving rn but I would like to get back to it at some point
for as much shit as the art style gets, i still maintain that the animorphs graphic novels have my absolute favorite human tobias design.
this is the wettest, most pathetic tobias i've ever seen. his clothes are visibly more wrinkled than everyone else's, he's always walking around with a pair of ratty headphones, and he's desperately trying to pull off a hair style that just isn't working. one look at this guy and you can instantly believe jake met him with his head shoved in a toilet. hell, i almost want to shove his head in a toilet. a+ work, no notes.
This is a WIP for an Animorphs animatic that I've been working on for a really long time. It's based on the events of book 1. idk if I will finish it tbh burnout hitting hard.
