Nomination Clarifications #2

We're now at about 340 fandoms and 1978 ships nominated. And we've currently got another 41 fandoms to look at. We have a countdown here for how long until nominations close. Update on the glitch that was happening - it was mainly happening to Marvel 616 nominations, with a couple of Stargate ships also rejected. Thankfully, AO3 support was able to change the rejected nominations back to not rejected for us, so people should be seeing Marvel 616 nominations going through okay now. We have a few fandoms we want input on since we're not familiar with them and what level of shared characters and canon there is. Firstly, Pocket Monsters | Pokemon (Main Video Game Series) and Pokemon Rangers, would fan of these recommend combining into a general Pokemon (Video Games) category or keeping them separate? We also have a number of Yu-Gi-Oh Anime & Manga fandom nominations, which we're currently assuming probably ought to be kept as separate but would appreciate input on whether that is best too: Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS, Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters (Anime & Manga), Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal and Yu-Gi-Oh! - All Media Types.

I’ve been watching s2 of Macguyer and... fuck... *inhales* I feel like I just need to warn folks who may plan on watching episode 10 War Room+Ship. As it felt like it could be very triggering for some people. It has a pretty full on scene around a character drowning. So anyone who isn’t triggered by drowning stop reading here as spoiler lay ahead. For anyone who is triggered please keep reading for a brief description of episode 10. It see’s you watching Mac trying to save a group of researchers lead by Zoe( The cute Lass seen in the photos) Her an Mac flirt and she helps save the group multiple times with Macs assistance. The boat starts to sink and Mac devises a way to help save them with a remote detonator (meaning everyone would survive) however it doesn’t work. Zoe realised that to save the group she must sacrifice herself to buy them time. She informs Mac of her decision to detonate the substance while trapped in the flooding room. Zoe shuts the door and subsequently begins the end of her life. The team leave her and Mac alone as he slowly breaks down and tries to keep her calm. We watch as the room fills quickly with water. It all become a lot to watch and I quickly joined Mac in crying at the fact that Zoe had to give her life when rescue was only minutes away. Death is hard. An I will always love and respect the different ways that the macguyver series over all has handled some episodes regarding this. But my god. This was so intense and hard to watch. I’ve never lost anyone to drowning. But it’s a truly scary way to die. As peaceful as it would be. So I cried for a while. I know it’s only a show. But this happens. Adults and children. Family and friends. People drown everyday. Most are alone and don’t have a person gently talking to them trying to help them remain calm. I got to continue breathing last night even though my chest was heaving and it was hard to breathe. Some people weren’t so lucky. An I’m sorry to anyone out there who’s lost someone. My heart goes out to you. An if you ever need to talk about anything because it’s to hard to keep inside. I am here for you.

Y’all I’ve literally watched every MacRiley edit @creativexdreamer & @tilltheworldendsx3 have made. I’ve also read every single MacRiley fanfic. I feel a rewatch of MacGuyver coming on. I would also like to say that Angus MacGyver and Riley Davis are on my list of characters that must be protected at all costs. Who knows maybe I’ll write some fanfics, I’m just not sure I could get the characters right.

So, how many of you knew this?

Jared Padalecki played Young MacGyver in a 2003 TV movie/pilot as MacGyver’s nephew. “Angus Macgyver's nephew quits school and joins The Phoenix Foundation. But he finds it difficult to follow in the shoes of his famous uncle. “

^ That was the official description given, and had it been picked up by WB(who had no interest it seems), that likely would’ve been our “new MacGyver”

I mainly found this amusing because of the amount of people I saw who were saying Lucas Till resembled Jared, and it made me wonder if they knew about this? Or maybe because there have been many mutual MacGyver/Supernatural fans.

Now, I’m 100% happy with Lucas Till as MacGyver, he’s a gorgeous guy, great actor, and his voice is amazing, I just found this interesting and kind of cool, especially since Henry Winkler also produced Young MacGyver.
