Hey what are your thoughts on starbee?
Ohh it's a good ship and i like it and share fanart of it and stuff, but it isn't really a ship that I personally ship on my own! like I've written for it, and I share stuff but for personal reasons I am not like a hardcore shipper of it but it's alright! like I used to ship it a lot but not so much anymore. but it's a really cute ship I'm just indifferent.

F/ovember FAQ
I wanted to write out this little post of any general questions about this event. Please give it a read if you're interested in participating! 🧡
What is F/ovember?
F/ovember is an f/o takeover event spanning for the entire month of November, from the 1st to the 30th, where self shippers are encouraged to give their f/os control of their blog for the month.
What's an f/o takeover?
An f/o takeover is a one-person event that used to be pretty popular in the self-ship community, where bloggers give their f/o(s) control of their blog (a.k.a. you essentially get to roleplay as your f/o) and invite their followers to ask their f/o(s) questions, typically about their self ship.
I've never done an f/o takeover before! What are the rules?
That's the beauty of this event; the simplicity! The basic guideline is that your f/o is the one answering questions, but the rest is up to you! That being said, there are two rules that I encourage everyone to follow:
One, if someone sends you an ask, send one back to them if they're participating as well! It's good ask karma and you might make a new friend out of it too!
Two, please do not write your f/o saying mean or hurtful things about you. If it's a lighthearted jab or part of your lore, then thats a slight exception, but they would never say anything genuinely hateful about you, I promise 💝
Do I have to keep up the takeover for the entire month to participate?
Not at all! You're encouraged to have the takeover on your blog for the whole month, of course, but you can do it as long as a week, a weekend, or even just a single day. You can even do it for a week, drop the event, and then pick it back up later in the month if you'd like to!
What if I want to do the takeover with only a few/one of my f/os, or do the takeover with only a certain type of f/o (platonic, familial, etc)?
Then do it!! You're allowed to use as few or as many f/os as you want, and any type of f/o you want! You can even switch which f/o or what type is answering questions from day to day (i.e. having a day/week for all platonic f/os).
Who is running/moderating this event? Who is allowed to join? How can I sign up?
I came up with the event idea on my own (my name's Ruby if you don't know me, hi :3), so I suppose that technically makes me its sole moderator, but that is only in the most loose of terms. This is being held on each person's individual blog, so there is no type of sign-up process required! However, that also means there's not much I can do against someone joining other than blocking them and advising others to do the same.
That being said, I would appreciate if anyone who matches my DNI section of my Carrd, especially pr*shippers and c*mshippers, does not interact with this event or use the tags for it either. This is event is not for you.
I am a pr*shipper and I'm gonna interact and do the event anyway! You can't stop people from just using a tag!
Okay. Have fun on the blocklist, freak :)
No one is sending me any asks! I feel left out :(
I'm really sorry to hear that. While there's no solid way to guarantee asks in your inbox, there are a few things you can do to increase your chances. You can try making a promo post for your takeover, and be sure to tag all your posts related to it with "f/ovember", as well as other tags like "f/o takeover", "fovember", and "self ship community" so people who frequent those tags can see it. You can also try sending asks out to other self shippers who are doing a takeover, as they're likely to send one back. In addition to that, I'll be trying to send an ask to everyone participating, so if I missed you then please do not be afraid to send me a quick message about it!
Are you participating with an f/o takeover as well?
Yes, I am! I'll be trying to run my takeover for the entire month with all of my f/os available to answer questions!
I have a question that wasn't answered here, or need some more clarification on something!
No problem, friend! My inbox is always open for any inquiries you may have about this event or takeovers in general!

Fanfic Trope Anon, I got your ask.
I am not a popular blog and I never tag my diskhorse in a way it would appear on major tags; so, I would like to say a few things about the subject you brought up on small dick and feminization tropes applied to Max being very popular in fanfiction, but I will put it under a read more to spare people.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We all have different kinks and you can have yours and I can have mine and it is none of our business to judge the other for having these kinks, but lately, small dick Max/omega Max/feminized Max is so popular that it makes me question what can be the allure of it. (Seb also is quietly getting the same treatment and unsurprisingly the other side of the coin is L/ewis and M/ark, which I would also talk about the dynamics of, but our subject matter is Max.)
In the past, I saw many posts about how not liking L/ewis' fashion sense and criticising it was a form of emasculating him. Some of the points those posts made were quite on point and even though I don't like the guy, trying to emasculate a guy who identifies as male/masculine thru his fashion choices had sounded very cruel and made me angry on his behalf.
Fast forward to today... I have been a part of this fandom's fanfic side since 2018. I have read the biggest ship tags from start to finish. I have looked at the most used and post popular tags since then and until M*xiel became a thing, A/BO wasn't at all popular in the fandom and until those Max in swimsuit/sports shorts pics surfaced and Max became a serious WDC contender, there wasn't much feminization or small dick fics around either. Not just about him, in general. But slowly, especially due to some prominent M*xiel writers' influence, omega Max/pregnant and lactating Max/small dick Max/feminized Max became extremely popular and L/ewis and C/harles fans took it from there.
I used to read M*xiel a lot back when the ship tag wasn't infested with the above kinks and back when I thought the writers of it liked both D/aniel and Max equally. Then I realized most famous Tumblr bloggers and M*xiel writers were actually just D/aniel fans and using Max as his adjacent because he gave them the "shippy" material and diskhorse they needed to get their creative juices going, like abused by his dad Max, like depressed Max, like asshole Max, like Max who is just a loser in life Max... Okay. I understand these tropes really lend themselves to quite dramatic fics, alright, whatever floats ppl's boats as long as their knight in shining armor, sunshine personified D/aniel can step in and teach Max some humanity and love and yada yada. I'm a writer, I can see the allure of this. If i was shipping it, I might also have written a grand dramatic fic around these tropes. But what I hate about this shit is that it shaped the way most new fans' perception of Max.
When people rightfully say that D/TS and fanfiction shape the F1mblr's perception of reality and moral standards, I agree. Max being written as a person who is "not whole/defected/in need of saving/a machine/an asshole/a terrorist" had created this "perception" of Max that some ppl must be finding appealing to deconstruct in the worst way possible.
Like, we see a male/masculine identifying guy who looks quite though, broad, tall, who is actually self satisfied, complete, strong and uncaring of what others think of him, who has built his personality around his own ideals and beliefs and wants instead of caring about how he is perceived by others. He looks like such a character, isn't he? The way he is satisfied with himself, is in peace with himself is making his haters crazy.
I know there is a certain allure to deconstructing a guy who is stereotyped as an "alpha" into a much more human, much more real person than the "trope-y" version of how the majority of the fans perceive him as, as I am fond of doing it with Kimi, but this really feels different with Max and Seb.
Look, I don't think I am the best writer out there, but taking a guy from the confines of one stereotype just to put him into another, then it looks both cheap and unserious and ridiculous if the aim is just to subvert the possible tropes that might be attached onto a guy like Max....
If the aim is just to sexualize him in ways that depict him as a feminized person, an omega person or a person with a small dick, just to really enjoy the said kinks/tropes... Then, well... Yknmk, but why, really?
Is it due to some people's need to emasculate him? ( Why the criticism against the fashion sense of one guy was such a huge deal enough to be called emasculation but when we question the emerging popularity of these particular tropes about another guy we are ridiculed and even being lashed upon with such a defensive force as if they're defending their lives?) To strip him of his power on the track/as the top athlete of his field? To make their chosen blorbo to shine through?
I enjoy writing abo fics, too, but from a gender studies perspective, we must all agree that it is absolutely fucked up and only serves as another reminder of gender inequality and sexual violence. So, it must be cathartic to write about a normally very broad and alpha male looking kinda guy as some lactating needy weak omega who needs the cock of his rival to feel complete/to find real happiness/etc? The dynamics at play here is really strange. I have read stuff about r*pe fantasy/o/mega heat/a/lpha rut situations serving as a liberator from the guilt of having wild sex full of pleasure, etc. And i get the allure, but I look at the Max omega fics and all I see is traditional femaleness expected by the society being forced upon a guy. And the guy liking it a lot while the writers and the readers are talking about misogyny and feminism and yada yada on the side. Feminization, too. I enjoy the occasional lingerie wearing guy image in the fics, but Max enjoying female lingerie while being verbally degraded and used sexually by his rivals and being happy about it and even seeking it out is a theme i see quite a lot.
I mean, this thing started to turn up as a major tag in AO/3 recently. And it's always Max or Seb, or L/ando... Three of the most hated guys of the fandom for some reason huh... And always with the people who are their rivals for some reason.
Toxic ships are a thing and ppl enjoy them for whatever reason, yeah. But nobody can deny that their popularity skyrocketed with the D/TS and with the new influx of fans. Yeah, liking toxic ships don't reflect what you actually like in a real life relationship, true. But it is very interesting how popular these hate ships have become in recent years as ppl found more about M*rtian, Br*cedes, S*wis (which funnily evolved itself into a flower ship thanks to its delusional fans) and recently latched onto whatever L/ewis and Max are called as ship.
Always Max is the one having these kinks latched onto him. Writing him as a top/switch in a healthy and normal way brings in less comments and kudoeses i guess. I have even been confronted about how I can not like omega Max and how i can even think of max as an alpha male.
Going deeper into these waters might even get one be called as a T*rf, lol. Yeah, for example, not wanting to see my fav treated in the way almost all the female population has been fighting against deserves being called that name. Or not liking a small dick Max or Seb being used by L/ewis or C/harles... What kind of an itch does that scratch I wonder. Genuinely.
And let me say that for anyone who has read this till here, this is not an invitation to come to my inbox and spew shit at me just because i try to understand why the fandom likes certain shit in conjunction to certain drivers and what it reflects about the actual state of mind of the said people. I'm not trying to start shit here. I will block anyone who tries to, though.

The ASoIaF fandom can be so frustrating sometimes.
It’s okay to admit that one doesn’t like this or that character. There’s nothing wrong in disliking a character.
I am pretty open on my blog about my indifference towards or dislike for Sansa because of her stans. I don’t make disclaimers about how much I love the character before proceeding to criticize Sansa. I am not a Sansa stan and that’s okay. My blog is a place for me to jot down my thoughts and celebrate characters, books and shows I do like. If you love Sansa as a character, block me, don’t follow me etc.
What’s obnoxiously annoying are the folks who claim to love all the characters the same and then give their ‘unbiased’ opinions which are held up as canon facts because they came from neutral book reader experts. To hell with that nonsense.
These posts reek of hypocrisy and double standards. It often tears down some characters while subtly propping up others - and it’s gobbled up by the wider fandom as unbiased interpretation of the text.
One example is pushing forth the notion that calling Arya pretty (Something that both her father and brother tell her she is in the books) is wrong, it’s sexualizing her, it’s okay for Arya to be ugly, she’s canonically not pretty because Cat/Sansa said so and no other interpretation is allowed etc. And then the same person who says all this celebrates Sansa’s beauty and ships her with a 27 year old man who falls in lust with Sansa.
Or when they say that the Arya-Lyanna (and Sansa/Lyanna parallels, because it’s always important to mention Sansa with respect to Lyanna even if said person claims to not care about Lyanna as a character) parallels are overrated and not important and they don’t care about Robert’s Rebellion characters but on their blogs there’s all these posts, fanarts and meta about Elia Martell - a Robert’s Rebellion character.
A so called book expert would note that GRRM has several characters outright compare Arya to Lyanna or mistake Lyanna for Arya in the books while Sansa has no such comparison. But no, the unbiased book expert thinks that the Arya-Lyanna and Sansa-Lyanna parallels are equivalent and are both overrated. That post just annoyed me excessively into writing this long ass rant post.
Why are these neutral, unbiased folks so interested in stripping away from Arya’s story?
In the books Jeyne Poole is masquerading as Arya Stark - but that story is only Jeyne’s, has nothing to do with Arya or Arya’s importance to the North.
Arya is a strong warg, Nymeria and her wolf pack are a ‘Chekov’s wolf pack’ that GRRM has hung on the wall  -  Our expert opinion is that Direwolves are not all that important in the grand scheme of things.
Arya is pretty - why needlessly call Arya pretty, it adds nothing to Arya’s story and is all about sexualizing a child.
Arya-Lyanna parallels - why do we need these parallels, Arya is distinct and interesting without them.
These aspects are all important parts of the character’s story. There are so many very well written essays exploring these concepts with respect to Arya’s journey of self discovery in the books, the narrative significance of her parallels to Lyanna, her bond with Nymeria and her warging talents. For those who are interested, here are two bloggers who actually like Arya and have written about her character and character arc.
https://donewithwoodenteeth.tumblr.com/meta-masterlist
https://ashotofjac.tumblr.com/tagged/arya-stark
Some of these same people will rush to condemn any reading of the books that does not have Sansa wielding power at the end as being ‘Sansa hate’. But they will have no issues to undermine and devalue Arya’s actual book story, the relationships she has, the parallels she has, the skillsets she has, her appearance, her importance to the current story happening in the North.
There is a whole ass plot currently in the books of Northerners rallying for Arya Stark and preparing for battle against the Boltons for Arya Stark. But that’s not important because it’s actually Jeyne Poole and Arya’s story is about sailing off west of westeros.  But hey, Sansa will definitely go North and hold power and that’s like 100% happening because we are the unbiased book experts and we say it is so.
Or when all else fails - Arya is a Mary Sue, she’s a fantasy character, she’s a ‘strong female character’ because she fights with a sword, people like her because she’s a tomboy who fights. Sansa is realistic, Sansa is complex - but here are all the essays that basically transfer Arya’s complexity and story to Sansa - because it fits more with their fave, because these aspects would fit better with the traditionally feminine character even though they never tire of talking about how GRRM is deconstructing tropes. Because the trope deconstruction is only applied to Arya, Jon and Dany. Never Sansa.
And honestly, why are these people reading a high fantasy series if they hate fantasy and fantasy characters so much? We love Sansa because she’s so non-magical! Then go read non-fiction books. They also twist Jon, Arya and Dany into ‘fantasy’ characters - despite these characters going through some very real and human experiences. What’s fantasy about Arya’s experiences in war torn Westeros, Jon dealing with bigotry at the wall, Dany trying to rebuild Meereen, while dealing with famine, disease and insurgency?
Or how Jon and Dany getting any kind of happy ending or becoming rulers would be so boring, sweet, predictable, conforming to tropes, a happy ending etc. But Sansa getting love, romance, going home, becoming the Stark in Winterfell, getting her fairy tale ending - that’s totally what GRRM is going to do! No trope deconstruction there!  In may ways, Benioff and Weiss’ ending is not all that surprising -  Mad Queen Dany, Jon remaining a bastard with the freefolk, Sansa having power as a leader - are all popular theories among bnfs in the fandom. D&D wanting to wind up the show quickly with easily found fan theories is not that much of a stretch.
ASoIaF reddit is equally frustrating. Instead of Sansa stan bnfs on tumblr who pretend to like Arya and Dany while subtly undermining their story and importance, on Asoiaf reddit it’s Stannis stans who dislike Jon and Dany because these characters present a challenge to Stannis. The mere suggestion that Jon may play a role in the battle against Ramsay sends them into frothing at the mouth rage. They hate Jon, Jon is a Gary Sue because he dared advice Stannis - the greatest general ever - on Northern military strategy. Never mind that Jon grew up in the North and learned from Ned, how dare Jon Snow know more than Stannis! Unacceptable!
And I love Stannis Baratheon. I want Stannis to crush and defeat the Boltons. But unlike reddit dudebros, I can see that he is a secondary character, a tragic character who is most probably going to perish and Jon takes over because Jon Snow is a central protagonist in the story.
I feel it’s the same with Sansa. IMO, GRRM clearly doesn’t see Sansa in the same way as he does Arya, Jon, Dany, Tyrion and Bran. Whenever he is asked questions about the books, book plots, long term arcs, endings, age gaps etc it’s these characters he often brings up and references. It’s these characters who are important to him.
And that’s why there’s a lot of undermining and undervaluing of these character’s and their stories, them being described as fantasy characters, tropes, Mary Sues and Gary Sues, ableist rhetoric about Tyrion and Bran to undermine them.
I am damned certain that if it was Sansa who had all the parallels to Lyanna, or if she was the warg, or Jeyne Poole was impersonating her, this would all be ‘VERY IMPORTANT’ and on all the gifsets and essays. But she isn’t. So fandom bnfs are reduced to talking about how these aspects are not all that important anyway.
It’s like how this quote - ‘You may be as different as the sun and the moon, but the same blood flows through both your hearts’ turns up on gifsets every other day on the Arya tag but this quote - ‘Sansa could never understand how two sisters, born only two years apart, could be so different. It would have been easier of Arya had been a bastard, like her half brother Jon. And Jon’s mother had been common, or so people whispered’ very rarely does and will not get reblogged when it does.
Or when Sansa sees Joffrey trying to kill Arya and sides with Joffrey or when Sansa throws Arya under the bus and tells the Lannisters that it’s Arya who is the traitor - just sisters being sisters y’all!
It’s all about maintaining a certain narrative about Sansa - and when others point out her actual relationship with Arya in the books, we are accused of hating and wanting Sansa dead and how we should be criticizing Tywin and the Mountain instead. This is nonsensical whataboutism and ignores that people talk about  these aspects of the books because sometimes bullying, getting mocked for one’s appearance, abuse and neglect from parental figures etc. can resonate with certain readers unlike getting one’s head smashed in by Frankenstein.
At the end of the day, I wish these people would be honest about the characters they like and relate to. We are all biased. That’s why our opinions and interpretations are subjective. There’s nothing wrong in saying, hey, I like Sansa more than Arya or Dany, I relate to her character more.
I relate to Jon Snow a lot, I see things from his POV, I would disagree with the characters who disagree with Jon,  I enjoy his story at the Wall and the North. My interpretations of the text are therefore colored by my bias towards Jon.
For others, it’s Dany or Sansa or Arya or Tyrion or Jaime. And that’s okay because these are fictional characters and liking one more than the other is not going to earn anyone woke points and lead to women’s rights.
And finally, there’s nothing edgy or cool about disparaging the central protagonists of a high fantasy series as being fantasy characters - go read other books if one is not into fantasy.

HUGE THREAD AND RANT!
Tumblr media
Please get tf out of the BakuDeku tag- I calmly scroll through amazing bakudeku bloggers then see this crappy shit. And imma rant too since thats what I do.
 ALSO //SPOILERS//
Tumblr media Tumblr media
First of all saying that they don’t have a developed relationship is by far the most idiotic thing I have ever fucking seen. And also saying they don’t have a good relationship.. Honestly I will sit back and laugh at your embarrassing ass because the WHOLE dynamic of them is about their relationship getting better.
Tumblr media
For example this is old middle school Katsuki who is now dead. Perished, ashes, what shoes he got on in his casket? Representing the old Bakugou who used to bully Midoriya is now dead and will never come back. (This is Horis draft sketches btw)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then look at how happy Midoriya is to be able to be friends with Kacchan.. <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And he fuckin bi panicked when ever Katsuki said “You’ve made what you borrowed your own, huh?” *while the screen turned bright*. Like wtf this is so fruity I can’t with them istg.
Conclusion, Midoriya would be so fucking happy if they got into a relationship- I mean think about it...
Next lets think about Katsuki... Oh boy the gayass bitch.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He’s been wanting to hold his hand for YEARS probably. They’re even lyrics in a Op/ED song that has a lyric saying “And in a dream I will take your hand and, I will hold it forever.” Could that be Bakugous POV?
Bakugou even has done crazy shit for Midoriya too...
Tumblr media
“I never felt that sensation. Like being on death’s door in total crisis.” BROOO HE FELT LIKE HE WAS DIEING WHEN MIDORIYA WAS???!??! Thats just so fucking sad and I’m tearing up...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Look at that my little bkdks... These are panels to him reacting to Deku’s hero name.
Tumblr media
“Keep your eyes on me, Deku you dweeb *with a seductive face*” Bakugou buddy... And the fact that this was right in front of a lady in a skin tight costume. This is just very homo of him.
Tumblr media
Him taking a hit through the stomach too.. And then whenever he wakes up he goes straight to asking if Deku is okay and other people ofc.
Tumblr media
If you hate him go eat dog shit with no water. You have to realize that he isn’t a horrible person and Hori is trying his best to get that through your thick ass skull. You are just stubborn at this point if you hate him.
Tumblr media
Also look at him looking and smiling at Midoriya and All Might... This just makes me cry...
Oh and yeah they totally aren’t romantic.
Tumblr media
*looks directly at lips*
Tumblr media
*gets flustered from his face lmao*
Tumblr media
Okay tell me that they hate each other again? I don’t know why y’all want them to hate each other, like do you want it to be toxic lmfao.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
- Again most popular ship-
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
- Lyrics from MHA op/ed the lyrics may not be in order but here are the highlights! Also screenshots aren’t by me they are by my bkdk besties.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You’re gonna tell me they are platonic and catching Cherry Blossoms?-
Tumblr media Tumblr media
- OFA canon romantic.
Tumblr media
This looks like a cover of a romance anime lol.
So in conclusion they do have a pretty romantic, developed, angst/slowburn, chemistry, platonic even, relationship. And you can’t deny that at this point. And the fact that I was gonna add more but couldn’t because maximum photos says A LOT lmao.

The respectability games of 'look! I can be the most NOT delulu Jikooker ever' are getting old. I appreciate the bloggers who try hard to be objective and prevent the spread of misinformation. I admire their commitment to integrity and receipts. They put work into earning their platform and deserve to be considered dependable and wise.
But then other people want to show up and blow up inboxes with 'THAT SWEATER COULD BE ANYONE'S!' and 'Jk was just teasing Jm about the shower calm down delulus'... for what?
Are you anons aware that anything that a cis man in the media does in the vicinity of a cis woman WILL be interpreted as romantic? Do you know how LITTTTTLE it would take for Jk or Jimin to be presumed to be in a heteronormative relationship with a cis female person? (Or how little believers of a certain ship require to spin a psychosexual melodrama wherein mint chocolate icecream =s**?)
Do you know how purely BEYOND the realm of possibility it is in the majority of people's minds it is that ANY Bangtan member is not straight?
I get where these anons are coming from. I am LGBTQ and form a traditional country. There is this idea sometimes that if we capitulate to our elders idea of 'decency', we can 'earn' the right to be seen as decent human beings. It's really hard to break out of that. And I think this mentality can follow people into all kinds of discourse. As Jikook supporters, it can be 'embarrassing' to be lumped into the stereotype of a pack of fetishizing fangirls who slow down footage and draw arrows etc. The reality it takes a lot of time, research and a objectivity to open one's self up to the possibility of an LGBTQ couple just kind of semi putting it out there in the biggest band in the world. It bothers me (and probably you and many other people) when people assume a m/m relationship between who public figures is only the result of fannish 'wishful' imaginings. It hits on a personal level because it is a statement that goes beyond fandom and touches upon visibility and the very existence (or non existence, as many insist) of sexual minorities operating within a repressive society. I know we Jikookers want to be seen as sensible and respectable. No one wants to be called a fantasist. But all we are doing is loving BTS, and literally just reacting to content that is being shown to us. We aren't, as a rule, manufacturing anything. And we aren't isolating it and taking it out of eight years worth of context.
“The reality it takes a lot of time, research and a objectivity to open one's self up to the possibility of an LGBTQ couple just kind of semi putting it out there in the biggest band in the world.”
Anon I felt attacked with the first two lines of your message aahahahahaha. but you are absolutely right and I must say that in this case it is sad, and I know you would agree. personally since I started posting and replying to Asks on this blog I have tried to be as objective as possible and try to see everything in black and white but I also allow myself to see shades of gray. For me personally doing that is important because I don't want to fall into the game that it's my imagination seeing things and not my common sense understanding what I see, I don't know if that makes sense. your second paragraph... if you had seen the asks I received explaining and others telling me I was wrong about the whole jimin wearing jungkook’ sweater in winter package thing... it's amazing how many look for or create the most elaborate or dumbest explanations in order to not accept something related to jikook, instead of accepting that sometimes the simplest answer is the right one.
After so many conversations on this topic here, I've come to wonder if the reluctance or refusal to accept at least the possibility of jikook being real is not only because of homophobia  but also because it's Jimin and jungkook specifically. I think it's pretty clear that they are two of the most popular members and arguably the most hated as well, so I wonder if for many that's a reason as well. “Or how little believers of a certain ship require to spin a psychosexual melodrama wherein mint chocolate icecream =s**?” what i particularly hate about this part is that they don't seem to be as hated, insulted and contradicted as much as jikookers, and we or most of us don't resort to absurd explanations to prove that the ship is real as most of them tend to do.
And yeah, we wouldn't be having these kinds of discussions or I wouldn't be getting asks from people saying that jimin and jungkook are like brothers, or that the things they do or say are things that two brothers would do or say to each other, if they were a woman and a man, because that would be normal. right? so there would be... no problem.
“We aren't, as a rule, manufacturing anything. And we aren't isolating it and taking it out of eight years worth of context.”  and I'm proud of that.

Tharntype
Tumblr media
Thai
12 episodes
Tropes-
School, students, enemies to lovers,
Trigger warnings-
Homophobia, sexual assault (multiple characters), physical assault, blood,  pedophilic undertones in character (not part of the main couple), seriously just want to stress that there is a LOT of sexual assault in this, including an assault on a child (not extremely graphic but still very disturbing)
Bloggers rating-
a hesitant 5/10
Summary-
Type is a hotheaded freshman with a hatred for gay people. Tharn is his openly gay roommate. What could possibly go wrong?
Bloggers opinion-
I don’t think I have ever watched a series that has had more people ranting about it than this one. Just from the blogs I follow I have seen such a variety of responses to this show, with some people swearing up and down that this is the best series that has ever existed and some people vowing to never touch it with a 10,000-meter stick. (Also see: The ratings on mydramalist for this show range from 10/10 to 1.5/10)  Why is that? Look no further than the main couple. They have all the makings of a very popular, very fun ship. (I think we can all agree that the “Grumpy one is only soft for the sunshine one” trope is pretty damn good.) However, for some reason people still hate them. Why is that? Well, look no further than the trigger warnings. “Mr Grumpy Tsundere” (Type) is a raging homophobe. “Mr Sunshine” (Tharn) is gay and sexually assaults Type. Type also punches Tharn in the face multiple times while they’re together. Yeah…
This is written by the same person as Love by Chance, and thus this series suffers from one of the major problems that that series/ those books suffer from. Almost every damn character has some sort of history with/ undergoes some sort of sexual assault during this series. Type does, Tharn does, Tar does, you can’t seem to go anywhere without a character having some sort of connection to sexual assault. Look, I think it is important to share stories like that and to raise awareness and support for the victims of sexual assault, and I believe that showing audiences a character who has gone through that and is overcoming their trauma and allowing themselves to acknowledge what happened to them and move forward from it is a very good idea. However, that’s not what happens. It’s used for shock factor. And it pisses me off.
This series also suffers from a handful of loose threads, (namely Kom because where the fuck did he go??) and some scenes were genuinely hard to watch because of certain characters (San. That disgusting fuck.) and that hardly adds to the viewing experience. Also I’ve said it before and I fear I will have to say it again but if you’re not going to make it worthwhile, don’t use a time jump damnit! You’re telling me absolutely nothing changed about Type and Tharn’s dynamic in 4 years? Type still won’t say he loves Tharn without being coerced into it? Come on… Just as one final point, I dislike the actor for Tharn (Mew) because of some real-life stuff he’s done, but I will give credit where it’s due and congratulate this series for actually hiring an lgbt actor to play an lgbt character.
Final thoughts-
If you put all of the stuff that I just talked about aside, this doesn’t make for a bad series and as much as certain elements piss me off about it, I can’t quite bring myself to hate it quite as much as I maybe should. It was well-acted, when Type and Tharn were on good terms with one another it was enjoyable to watch their story play out and, despite some of the characters trying their hardest to make it otherwise, the plot wasn’t completely insufferable. However, I fully understand and respect the (substantial) group of people that hate this show, and I would only recommend watching it if you are aware of the fact that this series handles sexual assault and trauma in a very poor way. That being said, in a weird way, the themes of this show kind of fit in with the main couple. It would feel odd to have characters that have suffered as much as these characters have suffered and pair that with a happy little story about falling in love with Prince Charming and living happily ever after, and for that reason I’m alright with some of the darker elements of this show because the alternative would cause a very weird tonal unbalance in the show as a whole. This isn’t a good representation of a healthy relationship dynamic, despite what deranged fujoshi’s in the comments of videos might try to tell you, but it also isn’t as completely foul as some people make it out to be. There’s some good and some bad and I think it’s important to acknowledge both sides of the coin in this equation.
Ending status below the cut-
Despite all their flaws, Tharn and Type do end up together at the end of the series.

Ugh, I know what you mean about that ant*-darkling community, I've seen them around talking bad about anyone who likes Aleks. The Darkling is one of the most popular YA villains there is and I still remember how some of them were angry that Ben Barnes and the Darkling were the most talked about things when the S&B cast was announced (mostly everyone just thirsty lol). What we need to do, is to ignore them and make as much Darkling and darklina content as we can, and they can stay mad about it.
Oh, I couldn't agree more. Which was why my first reaction was to make my little gifset I posted haha. I didn't interact with or engage any of these people. I guess I was just surprised? Tumblr recommended a blog literally called "wehatethed*rkling" (don't want this to show up if they track a tag or anything lol). And I thought to myself, "Wow. That's a little extreme." So I went to the blog and the person is 100% serious. They're active, and though they appear to post content in addition to anti stuff, that's the url of their personal blog! And I scrolled a bit to find that they have a whole circle of people who are very passionate about being ant* darkling and/or darklina to the point that they're posting about this daily.
The only reason this surprises me is that it seems to be a bit of a moot point with a villain character. I come from the GOT fandom, for example, and there was a lot of anti content circulating, especially between stans of the leading ladies. And since those ladies were protagonists, the anti content focused on trying to prove how awful and evil Dany or Arya or Sansa was--because the stans of each of those characters defended them as heroes, and antis disagreed. There was no anti blog for, say, The Night King. Why would there be? He's a villain. With a character like the Darkling, I don't get why there are antis or what they are trying to prove. He's the villain. We get it. We know. He delivers dialogue specifically calling himself a villain. I get that and I like him anyway just like I like Anakin Skywalker and just like I continue to love Dany. It's not that serious!
I just blocked all of these people, so hopefully it won't really be an issue for me moving forward. It's just that it like instantly activated my fight-or-flight lmao because I was like, "Oh, no... not AGAIN." Because the bulk of my tumblr experience was dedicated to stanning Dany and Jonerys and that became all about discourse. My whole presence here was about being on the defensive. I was constantly answering asks both from antis and fans, defending Dany and trying to justify myself for loving her and shipping Jonerys. It ultimately became miserable. My whole experience with GOT became about the discourse. Every new thing that would happen in the series became weaponized either by antis or by those of us on the defense, and it made the whole experience less fun. So seeing that there is already a robust anti community before the show is even out is really disheartening to me.
I don't want to be that person this time. I'm hot blooded and impulsive and a huge flaw of my personality is that it's very difficult for me to drop it and move on when I see hate in my inbox or on my dash or in a tag I track. I'm DETERMINED not to be the wank blog when S&B comes out. I'm going to talk about what I love and that's it. I've been doing ok so far! I didn't engage with those antis and I've gotten about four anti anons since I got this URL and I've deleted them all instead of posting and trying to defend myself.
And that's the crux of the issue by way: having to defend MYSELF. Idgaf if these people trash talk the Darkling. The problem is that they take our interest in the Darkling and use it to make character judgments on our morals as real people. THAT is what's hard for me to ignore--people in my inbox saying I support grooming, paedophilia, and abuse because I like the Darkling. That's stupid, of course, and I'm getting better at breaking the habit of responding to that to defend myself. I don't have to! None of us do! This is supposed to be fun.
The only thing I will say directly addressing their wankiness, though, is actually related to what you said about Ben. You're right: it's all anyone talked about, and we were thirsting and celebrating. But in my brief trip down the anti rabbit hole last night I saw two very shocking (and honestly hilariously dumb) claims by anti bloggers:
1. We Darkling stans are mad that Ben was cast. Apparently we wanted someone young and boyish because we refuse to admit the Darkling is old as hell.
And I have to laugh because all I saw was widespread celebration and flailing over the casting news. Literally every single fan I've encountered is over the moon about this. Why wouldn't we be? And yeah, the Darkling is an immortal old guy. An overused trope I am still 1000% obsessed with. Happy to acknowledge that.
2. We Darkling stans will hopefully stop stanning him now that they cast someone "ugly" with a "patchy beard" to play him.
Yeah, you read that right. This person called Ben Barnes ugly with their whole chest and I honestly have nothing to say to that 😂
Tumblr media
Anyway sorry this got so long! Like I said I'm going to try to be positive wrt this fandom and the stuff I like so I'm getting as much salt and sadness out as I can now, while we don't really have new content to discuss anyway 😅

A matter of discourse
Kind of autobiographical, which may be boring. This post is a very brief discussion about my experiences with online discourse.
I’ve changed a lot since my A-timer days back in 2016 when I was first engaging in genuine discussion on the internet for the first time. Back then  I was fighting the fight for stuff like Bubbline to be allowed on television. There was a lot of insane and aggravating discussion. It felt fun to let off steam by having a proper go at someone I knew was wrong though. It developed some solid communication skills as well. I felt alive!
When I opened my tumblr, suddenly lots of things were a big deal. Friends sharing posts about tragedies that had happened, about venomous members of different communities. This only escalated after I left the Atimers for Homestuck fandom, which was itching for a good fight. So I got in the gang with various LGBT bloggers, and watched the material they were sharing.
So, there was stuff like Zamii, like scandals about ships, like scandals about what people did on other accounts... lesbian shippers were at war against gay shippers....
...and back in the cartoon fandom shows like SU were going under intense scrutiny from the people who enjoyed them, an overtly progressive show like SU had attracted an overtly progressive audience which was going to take absolutely no prisoners whatsoever, even on stuff that in most people’s eyes would never be a big deal. Standards that no other show in the history of television had lived up to.
It’s not so much that SU etc were bad, or that they were not bad, but the thing that got to me was how the crew reacted. They couldn’t deal. They jumped to defend the show, say it was sooo not bad, that everyone else was being stupid. People deleted their accounts and stopped communicating with the internet. That was the harsh blow - the crew had decided the entire fanbase were not worth speaking to, because somebody criticised their work.
Not unlike what had happened to Homestuck, I feel.
This was the time where I decided to step away from my tumblr account. I felt like I had to police everything I post because I was at the time a popular blog, if I stepped out of line - something ridiculously easy for a moron like me - then I wouldn’t be lynched as such, but my casual friends would reject me. I felt like this meant my tumblr friends weren’t true allies and it didn’t feel right to expose myself. (Not inclusive of the Group Chat friends or certain individuals from this site who are a whole different story of people I’ve neglected, I’m really sorry.)
Watching the crews of all my fandoms just walk away at the first obstacle took the spirit out of being a fan too.
Besides which, Homestuck was ending. It had decided late in act 6 to perform a round of virtue signalling which I felt was kind of facetious considering Hussie’s actual views on everything and the lack of energy he’d been putting into the story. Until the story ended I believed that maybe he’d changed, but then A7 dropped and I realised I was right all along. Years later, the epilogues have only reinforced my perspective that Hussie only wrote A6 to be so progressive because that was what he thought his current fans would be into, not because he thought it would be a good idea or the right thing to do. It shows because of how badly he’s handled it.
So I joined the Homestuck reddit and became more active there than on Tumblr. Then I joined the Homestuck discord.
The place at first was kind of... cold towards me, because of my reputation for being a firestarter whenever the topic of LGBT ships in homestuck came up (a reputation I am proud of - together we inflicted genuine change in the way the reddit handled homophobic content). I took a liking to it though because there is a ton of people and I didn’t have to engage in horrible one-on-one discussions where there could be intense emotional labour. I didn’t have to deal with people’s personal drama, with suicide threats, in-group fighting. I didn’t have to deal with callouts, because while they were a thing, they were just a silly thing that wouldn’t result in being kicked unless you were a genuine cunt. And I have grown to trust the place to protect itself from truly vile people. There are enough channels and there’s just enough activity that you can discuss whatever you like with a small group of people and have a good nonjudgemental discussion, though it will be layered with lots of sarcasm and maybe a couple of nasty comments, which I think I’m a bit weird for enjoying getting thrown at me. Playing the Fool is my forte.
Watching the news now, even looking on tumblr, but ESPECIALLY looking at twitter, it’s so intimidating seeing how much people hate each other for acting naturally. Whether this is people who would be described by many as “social justice warriors” or people who would self describe as “anti social justice warriors”. I do think the latter are significantly more evil and petty to be honest because they’re doing something far worse over an issue that’s less severe than whatever they’re defending.
The major issue appears to be people reacting without genuinely looking into whatever they’re being clickbaited with. This is stupidity at its finest.
To summarise my position:  If you see something and it’s making you feel strongly, I implore you to sit back, think about what you’re looking at, maybe do a bit of research, then think about why it’s happened, and why it’s making you feel strong. If you do all that and your opinion is the same, great! You’ve got a well thought out opinion.
If you refuse to do this, you’re being dumb and you should not try to cause controversy or grief.
If you’re causing drama or harrassment about something purely out of spite to someone else who you don’t like much, go fuck yourself.
Okay, post is over, go home everybody. Your homework for tonight is the controversy of the Homestuck epilogue, why it became what it was, and whether it’s justified to be angry. Please submit papers by tomorrow morning for review.

Get to Know the Blogger
Can be used for RP and non-RP blogs to get to know a bit about the person behind the screen! Repost, don’t reblog!
1. FIRST NAME:  My alias is KumaraDosha, and you can call me that, Kumara, Mara, or something else you have learned I go by. :3c
2. STRANGE FACT ABOUT YOURSELF: I have an extra half a vertebra in my lumbar spine, bigger on the left side, that makes my back less stable and more susceptible to pain and injury, and part of the reason I had to change my career from being a surgical technologist was because of that wear and tear.
3. TOP THREE PHYSICAL THINGS YOU FIND ATTRACTIVE ON A PERSON: ...I really don’t know how to answer this. Attraction is so finicky for me, and “aesthetically pleasing” really just depends on the person. I guess all I can say is the most identifiable “type” of person I’d be attracted to are sort of...waifish women? Maybe Scandinavian features, IDK. Something vaguely similar to Anya Taylor-Joy’s soft looks, any hair color.
4. A FOOD YOU COULD EAT FOREVER AND NOT GET BORED OF: Ice cream/shakes.
5. A FOOD YOU HATE: Olives.
6. GUILTY PLEASURE: Assigning characters of different fandoms Homestuck godtier classes and aspects.
7. WHAT DO YOU SLEEP IN: Usually an old, big shirt and pajama pants.
8. SERIOUS RELATIONSHIPS OR FLINGS: Serious relationships only, if not neither.
9. IF YOU COULD GO BACK IN THE PAST AND CHANGE ONE THING ABOUT YOUR LIFE, WOULD YOU AND WHAT WOULD IT BE: I might go back and pick sonography as my major first, instead of trying nursing school, getting psychologically abused and mistreated by nursing teachers, having a breakdown and quitting, getting a surgical technology degree after being treated poorly by teachers/students/staff, quitting surgical tech work after 3 years due to depression/anxiety and physical strain, then coming back to school for a third time with past healthcare-school trauma and trying to get a bachelor’s in sonography. Then again, I learned a whole lot--educationally, about life, about the behaviors and cultures of healthcare workers, and about how people are--in those other schools/professions, so I’m not sure that’s worth giving up? I’d be very much richer right now, though, and not dependent on family or in debt. Plus, surgical technology is actually really cool (and still very much a passion of mine), and I don’t want to give those experiences and memories up. So maybe I’d just nix the nursing school, do surgical tech for a few years, and then go for sonography. Who knows, man; life and its consequences are so unpredictable.
10. ARE YOU AN AFFECTIONATE PERSON: Probably not. I am very sensitive to rejection if I’ve been honest or vulnerable, so I usually only gush over people I trust and honestly feel that way about.
11. A MOVIE YOU COULD WATCH OVER AND OVER AGAIN: I really don’t know if there’s any like that for me?? But I guess The Signal is a movie I like to show people and watch with them, because many haven’t seen it, and I find it fascinating. I also love Tron Legacy a whole lot.
13. YOU HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO KEEP ANY ANIMAL AS A PET, WHAT DO YOU CHOOSE: I would choose a Samoyed dog, if I were able to have it well-taken-care-of (which I can’t do at this point, which is why I don’t have one).
14. TOP FIVE FICTIONAL SHIPS: Oh boy, uh. At the moment? It’s hard for me to give any ultimate lists, because they can all be terribly mishandled or cringe depending on how they’re portrayed, which often somehow turns out to be popular in the fandom, and that spoils it for me a little bit... You know what, screw the rules; I’ma throw out a bunch--six from BNHA that I favor atm and then a diverse cast of some oldies I still like that will be more than five. Not particularly in order of rank...
From BNHA, Monoma Neito x Shinsou Hitoshi; Monoma Neito x Midoriya Izuku; Monoma Neito x Kuroiro Shihai (there may or may not be huge RP bias here); Bakugou Katsuki x Uraraka Ochaco; Bakugou Katsuki x Todoroki Shouto; Shigaraki Tomura x Dabi.
From other fandoms... Kuja x Terra (Dissidia Final Fantasy), Genos x Sonic (One Punch Man), Akabane Karma x Asano Gakushu (Assassination Classroom), Beyond Birthday x L Lawliet (Death Note, but ONLY from an epic-long series of canon-divergent fanfictions that nobody’s going to have heard of), Yami Bakura x Yami Yugi (Yu-Gi-Oh!), Aoba x Noiz (Dramatical Murder), Matsuoka Rin x Nanase Haruka (Free!), Eridan Ampora x Sollux Captor (Homestuck), Caliborn x Dirk Strider (Homestuck), The Batter x Zacharie (OFF), Sniper x Spy (Team Fortress 2). ...The hate/enemies/rivals ships are kind of a theme, aren’t they.
15. PIE OR CAKE: Cake.
16. FAVORITE SCENT: At the moment, I really like the Snowflakes and Cashmere body wash at Bath and Body Works. Also Butterfly Flower. Also give me baking cookies or blueberry muffins.
17. CELEBRITY CRUSH: They all disappoint me. They’re just human beings, often not very good ones.
18. IF YOU COULD TRAVEL ANYWHERE, WHERE WOULD YOU GO: Heaven, bitch. (Okay, maybe an island resort or a cruise or something.)
19. INTROVERT OR EXTROVERT:  Introvert who can appear extremely extrovert in comfortable company. I guess ambivert fits better.
20. DO YOU SCARE EASILY: Depends. In real life, I’d say not really, but if you can find a way to trigger my imaginative paranoia, then maybe. I can’t play scary video games, because they make me way too tense, but I absolutely love watching other people play them, and I get very scared, especially by jumpscares (but in a fun way, LOL). I also love watching horror movies (though most are embarrassingly un-scary). I do not like jumpscares in movies. Cheap. I also love reading/hearing creepy stories that are presumably true (that’s usually what triggers my imaginative paranoia and puts me in a bad headspace, but whoops, still interesting to me).
21. IPHONE OR ANDROID: I’ve only ever had iPhone.
22. DO YOU PLAY ANY VIDEO GAMES: Yeah. I wish I played more, but I seem to procrastinate a lot on playing games for some reason, and I’m not that good besides. I prefer PC to consoles, and I have tons and tons of games on Steam (many that I haven’t gotten around to trying yet), but I also have a PS4 and Nintendo Switch. Games of note that I have played a decent bit are Zelda Breath of the Wild, Fallout 4, Skyrim, Darkest Dungeon, Smash, Saints Row 3 and 4, many of the Final Fantasy games... And a heck ton more, uh.
24. WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH A MILLION DOLLARS: Pay off debts, share with family/friends, charity, invest in rich people stocks or whatever, and also live a nice-ass life. Honestly not sure if I’d quit working entirely...? I tend to get depressed if my life doesn’t have meaning like that. I have to give something back to the world. Besides, a million dollars literally lasts like under 20 years in normal circumstances...? That’s not something you retire on as a young person, unless you’re investing well...which I would need help figuring out how to do. I hate managing money.
25. FICTIONAL CHARACTER YOU HATE: Off the top of my head, probably Jane Crocker and Aranea from Homestuck.
26. FANDOM THAT YOU WERE ONCE A PART OF BUT AREN’T ANY LONGER: Trigun fandom! I still love that series...!
tagged by: @galaxythixf
tagging: You, but only if you like me, even if from afar. :3c

🔥 You shouldn’t use icons if the icons you’re using are smaller than 75x75 with half of the icon being a complex pixel frame and the image of the icon being overedited to hell and back. we get it susan. you like your aesthetic. But your aesthetic is the physical personifcation of the name Makeighlah, your sacrificing accessibility for appearance, and you’re giving people with vision problems fucking headaches. The reason we use icons is to give a look at the facial expression, but that’s no use if we can’t make out what’s on the fucking icon.
🔥Tiny fucking themes with Tiny Fucking Lettering with super low contrast coloring need to stop. no one can fucking read that shit. The fear of seeing that is why people are adopting a dash only rp style and not looking at people’s pages. Don’t sacrifice the ability to fucking read what’s on the blog for a compact aesthetic looking blog with muted colors and links you can’t fucking find, there’s no point to it.
🔥 I’ve been in the tumblr rpc since 2011. I’ve seen bloggers be defended for shipping incest and pedophilia and drawing their muses in sexual situations when they look like fucking 8 year olds just because they were popular. It’s fucking disgusting, but none of it phases me any more. But this whole call out culture of digging up something someone did years ago just because you want an excuse to hate them needs to stop. Unless the person is a grown ass human being who should know better and is doing the problematic thing in 2019 don’t bring up their history of doing the thing just because you’re mad at them and want people to hate them. Let people grow past their mistakes and change. Yeah, if you see someone doing something problematic and know they have a history of doing problematic shit, then by all means, tell people, but if the last receipt is from 2015 don’t you think you should fucking relax?

What do you think about the recently popular IronStrange??
Okay first, as a disclaimer. Everything said below is my personal opinion. If this somehow gets around to the IronStrange fandom, yall should know, I’m not saying this is the truth or anything. I’m not saying my thoughts on IronStrange are concrete facts about the ship. I’m a WinterIron blogger, so obviously it’s not my OTP, and obviously what I say about it isn’t going to be gushing rainbows and unicorns. I was asked my opinion on the ship, and I’m giving my full opinion. I’m not attacking anyone, I’m not calling out names. When I talk about things the fandom has done, I don’t mean the whole fandom, I don’t even mean most. I’m just commenting on what I’ve seen. If someone takes this out of context and tries to create drama and start discourse, I’m blocking them and moving on. I simply don’t care, and I don’t want that sort of thing associated with my blog. If an IronStrange shipper really has something deeply wrong with what I’ve said, they can pm me and we can talk about it, I don’t mind. Just don’t send me disgusting or threatening Anon asks, don’t start discourse in the notes, don’t vague post me, I don’t want any of that to come out of this. I’m sharing my personal opinion. If you don’t like it, then block me and move on. It’s not that big of a deal.
Okay, moving on.
I don’t hate it? It’s definitely not something I would NOTP or blacklist. If there’s a good synopsis or decent kinks in the description I’ll read it, but I wouldn’t read it for the ship itself.
I think my problem with it is that I could never really get into Stephen Strange as a character. I felt like he was set up and made to be very similar to Tony Stark, with the plot of Doctor Strange almost mirroring that of Iron Man. I’m sure you’ve heard the critiques before so I won’t go into the details of it, but you know the gist. They’re very similar.
But the problem is, I didn’t love Tony at the end of Iron Man. It wasn’t until Iron Man 3 that I really fell in love with his character, because of his overall character development. We either haven’t gotten there with Stephen yet, or we aren’t going to. Yes, Stephen stans can argue this, I really don’t care, but I didn’t see much character development for him in Doctor Strange, really? He’s the same guy, he can just now... do hand-wavy stuff. I’m sure there are endless arguments against that, but it’s my personal opinion of his character. I was kinda bummed they killed him in IW just because there was the start of a change in him, from my perspective.
I definitely see where the shipping comes from. There were a lot of IronStrange moments in IW, and I think I even wrote a fic for it long before IW came out. Oddly enough, I shipped it more then than I do now. Irony. I wouldn’t say the ship is totally ‘out there’ or just for the lawlz. I understand where the shippers for it come from, and they’re totally valid in OTP-ing it. I just don’t see it. I don’t even really see how the characters... work. I know I’ve said before that Tony and Bucky are similar people and that’s why I ship them, but they have their difference to balance it out and click everything together. Stephen really feels like a carbon copy of Phase 1 Tony, and you can’t put two identical puzzle pieces together and expect them to fit. It’d be like shipping someone with themselves, I guess. If any of that makes sense. That’s why I think the OT3 of Tony/Bucky/Stephen that I wrote headcanons for awhile back works a little better. There’s someone to help balance all that out.
And then there’s the fanbase. Definitely not as rabid as Stucky, but they’re... over the top. I don’t have any of the tags followed or follow any blogs for it, and yet I literally could not escape it. I almost blacklisted it just for that because God, it got annoying after awhile. And then there’s the whole ‘Superfamily’ fight. Look, I’m not a big Stony shipper.  I don’t read much of their stuff anymore, haven’t written it in awhile and when I do, it’s total AUs. My point is, ‘Superfamily’ is their tag, and if you’re looking up the ‘Superfamily’ tag of Tumblr, Ao3, whatever, you’re probably looking for Stony & Peter because that’s the history of the tag. Yes, it’s occasionally used by other fandoms (such as DC, talking about Clark Kent’s family) but in the Marvel fandom, it is Stony & Peter. I’m not saying Stony shippers have monopolized the idea of writing Peter as the son of Tony and whomever he’s shipped with, I’m just saying, their tag is their tag. I wouldn’t write something with WinterIron & Peter as their and then call it Superfamily, because that’s not the Marvel Superfamily, and I’d be intruding on a tag that’s not mine, and it’d get lumped into a fanbase that doesn’t want to see it. I just don’t understand what’s so hard about the IronStrange fandom creating their own tag for that dynamic. I know most do, I’ve seen ‘Strangefamily’ and ‘Supremefamily’, but... there are still some.
So all in all, I don’t hate it, but I don’t actively ship it. There’s some cute fanart, fanfiction, and the fanbase is generally okay, just a bit over the top, which I do understand to an extent. They had a few moments in IW that were nice. If given the choice, I probably wouldn’t delete it all from my dash because there is some good content created for it that I can enjoy. I just don’t care for the ship as a whole. But hey, what more do you expect from a WinterIron shipper?
In the end, not my thing. But ship and let ship.

BDSM: An Ethnography
Disclaimer: As always, this blog is written from the point of view of a brat submissive. Please keep this in mind, and just bugger off if you feel the need to be negative about my experiences.
This is an ethnography I wrote for my Rhetorics of Pop Culture class a couple of semesters ago. The assignment was to write an ethnography about a counter culture - in which we were to demonstrate our understanding of the concepts we discussed during class (hence the citations.)
The Ultimate Surrender: Living the Lifestyle
In early 2014, the hype for the release of the Fifty Shades of Grey motion picture began. I had heard of the steamy book series written by E.L. James, but had never really had an interest in it until I saw the preview for the movie. I am still somewhat embarrassed to admit that I actually like the book series, mainly because critics affectionately dubbed it “Mommy Porn.” Surely, as an English major, I was above reading that sort of thing. I normally turned my nose up at authors like E.L. James, because I thought their writing gave women unrealistic expectations of what relationships were supposed to be like. Fifty Shades of Grey totally fits that mold. But, one fateful day, completely out of the blue, my curiosity got the better of me and I downloaded a bootlegged copy of the first book, Fifty Shades of Grey. I finished it in two hours and read the other two over the rest of Christmas Break because the story reminded me of my husband and me, and all we’ve gone through over the last twelve years. That week, the BDSM rabbit hole opened, and I gladly jumped in with both feet.
What is BDSM?
BDSM stands for Bondage & Discipline (BD), Domination & Submission (DS), and Sadism & Masochism (SM). The acronym, BDSM, helps those of us who live the Lifestyle bundle all of the possible avenues under one umbrella name so that we can teach others what it means. We call actively living this way living the Lifestyle instead of just saying, “oh hey, I practice BDSM,” because it helps us avoid having to endure the stigma that has been attached to our way of life by popular media, and others who oppose our subculture (Haenfler 2016). We also have our own set of rules, just like every subculture.
Titles & special names
When writing, most of us will capitalize words like: Lifestyle, Master, Mistress, Maitresse, Dom, Domme, Domina, Top, Daddy, Mommy, Sir, Ma’am, or whatever the title of the person who is the Dominant party in the relationship may be. The Dom/me or Top chooses their title depending on what kind of Dominant they want to be, or are, and there are many more titles than what I have listed here. Simple capitalization of a title while writing shows a sign of submission, and knowing one’s place in the BDSM Hierarchy. Submissives are called subs, bottoms, babygirl, babyboy, princess, little girl, little boy, little one, kitten, and many others that. Most have custom collars with their names on them, like the one pictured here.
Be Excellent to Each Other
We call non-kinky people vanilla because they don’t have any exotic flavors in the ice cream that is their life. When we have playtime some of us call it play and some of us call it scening. Just depends on what generation of the lifestyle you’re around at the time, and how structured the play session is. We use safe words, like red for stop and yellow for slow down, every time we play. We also do not follow proscribed gender roles; in fact, many of us challenge them with things like sissification (the feminization of a male, by a Dominant woman, at his request). If you’re non-binary, transgender, cis, asexual, or whatever and want to be a Dominant, do it! If you want to be a submissive, do it! If you want to be a switch (someone who does both), do it! That’s the beauty of this Lifestyle, you can be whatever you want to be and no one will judge you for it. If they do judge you, they’re an elitist prick and shouldn’t be part of the Lifestyle because they don’t belong there. We follow the credo, “Your kink is not my kink, and that’s okay.”
When someone who actively practices BDSM hears “I live the Lifestyle” in public, it tips us off, but not everyone in the room, and that’s the way most of us prefer it. We can also ask others “are you part of the Lifestyle,” without outing them in public, because if they aren’t they’ll ask, “what lifestyle?” Unfortunately, because of the controversial nature of our relationships, most of us have to stay behind locked doors and maintain a vanilla appearance. There have been many kinksters charged with assault and domestic battery over bruises, or loud noises that led to a welfare check, because of over-concerned vanilla neighbors, friends, or family, even though what we do is 100% consensual.
Disclaimer
Many of us have to hide our identities, and where we live, for our personal protection because some people really do hate the way we live, and have threatened to hurt us. This is why I have chosen to write under my pet name, Daddy’s Pumpkin. They either don’t, or don’t want to, understand how living the way we do enriches our lives, but that’s okay. It gives us things that we’re lacking, thereby making us feel whole, if even for just the hour or two scene we’re participating in. I have an anonymous Twitter, Tumblr, and WordPress blog because my family would never accept the way we live because they think anything like what we do is abuse. I need to be part of the Community, but I have to do it secretly so I can maintain a career outside of my personal life.
As a responsible member of the kink community, I have to write a disclaimer about this topic. First, I want to be clear that the Lifestyle is NOT what you see in porn videos, nor is it what you read about in romance novels, or on the Penthouse Forums. That’s why the kink community hates Fifty Shades of Grey. Christian Grey is abusive, and uses being a Dominant as justification to beat women because of his psychological issues. Yes, some people in porn today do live the Lifestyle outside of their careers, but most of them perform it for the money and don’t live their lives as strictly as the actual kink community does. Please remember that they are all paid performers.
I’ve learned a lot from www.kink.com, where all three of these performers work, and I am very impressed by what they do in creating our ultimate fantasies, and shipping together the performers in pretty amazing ways (Duffett 202-207). Everyone just needs to remember that porn is for entertainment purposes only, and do not try what they do in the videos at home unless you know how to do it correctly and safely. There are on-average 10 professionals involved with each shoot at www.kink.com to ensure the safety of the performers. I also follow Sunny Megatron, a well-known sex blogger, and her blog is http://www.sunnymegatron.com.
My Frame of Reference
Most of the people I know who participate in the Lifestyle live by the simple principles of Domination & submission, in which one partner is the Dominant partner, and the other is the submissive partner. Thusly, in this series of articles, I will only be discussing monogamous, Dominant/submissive (D/s) relationships, as I am not familiar with polyamory and cannot claim to understand it. I will also do my best to remain gender neutral, as I know there is not just the typical male Dominant and female submissive mold as popular culture would have us believe (Nowell 2011). Many people in the community are non-binary, transgender, or cis, as well as pansexual and polyamorous, gay, straight, and lesbian and I do not discount their relationships at all. I’m just the most familiar with my niche in the Lifestyle. The rest of the acronyms usage depends the parameters of the relationship. There is always an agreement to which the Dominant and submissive have both consented, either verbally or in writing. It’s good to write the relationship parameters down whether you’re a newbie or a long-time kinksters, because sometimes we forget what we’ve agreed to, and that’s when things can go terribly wrong during a scene.
Contracts
Contracts typically include what the Dominant will and won’t do, and what the submissive will and won’t do, as well as what they’d like to try as they grow to trust their Dominant. The contract will also detail what words the Dominant prefers to use as safe words. The submissives portion of the contract normally has an intensity scale for each activity as well so that the Dominant knows how hard to push them during a scene. When something on the contract is an absolute no, it is called a hard limit. Hard limits are not to be broken, and both Dominant and submissive have the right to call anything they want to a hard limit. If either party breaks hard limits, it’s a gross violation of trust and can end a relationship immediately depending on the situation. When something is a maybe or they’d like to try it, but with provisions, it is called a soft limit. Limits can be re-negotiated at any time, and honestly should be gone over regularly as the partners get to know each other. A true Dominant will only do what the submissive has agreed to, and will not push them into anything they are not comfortable doing. A good resource for contracts is BDSM Contracts.org.
Types of Activities
Bondage & Discipline (BD) play a large role in many D/s relationships, as do Sadism & Masochism (S&M), for both punishment and fun. Most Dominants are also Sadists (they like to control and administer pain & punishment), as most submissives are Masochists, (they like to be controlled and receive pain). Most include punishment in their contracts for when the submissive breaks rules, or gets sassy with their Dominant so they can remind the submissive whose boss. That’s what floggers, riding crops, whips, canes, paddles, leather straps, hot candle wax, clothes pins, clamps, electricity, fire, needles, spanking, slapping, punching, ball gags, blindfolds, embarrassment, public humiliation, and uncomfortable or predicament bondage are for, most of the time.
Types of Dynamics
However, punishment can also be fun for major masochists, and some actually piss off their Dominant on purpose to get what they want. These submissives are called brats. So, if the Dominant finds themselves with a hardcore masochist, they really have to get to know their partner on a deep level, and find out what tool they really hate used on them so they can use it for punishment. For example: I have a friend who hates canes, so that’s what her Daddy uses. But it’s not just to make us cower in a corner. The whole point of using an implement that scares the submissive is to maintain control, but also to push their limits and help them to not be afraid of that implement any more.
I know this sounds insane to those outside of the Lifestyle, but the whole point of a D/s relationship is safety and structure for both the Dominant and submissive. It gives them a space in which they can explore their limits and needs together. True Dominants are very nurturing, squishy-hearted, people, and that’s what attracts submissives to them. They want a piece of property (yes I know that’s problematic to feminists, but remember the submissive has chosen this role) that they can spoil and do with as they please, which totally does it for submissives because that’s how they want to be treated. People who fall into the submissive mold are looking for security and safety from someone they can grow to trust with their life. Someone to fill their heart with love and feelings of being cherished; someone to fill the void they feel in their lives (Lacan quoted in Storey 2015).
Domestic Service Dynamic
However, there are many titles and dynamics within the D/s lifestyle, because there are many types of D/s relationships, some of which don’t even involve sex. Domestic service is one of the most popular types of non-sexual D/s relationships, and the one I use most as an example when talking to newbies or people who are curious, because it doesn’t make them as uncomfortable as talking about sexual servitude does. In a domestic service situation, the submissive can feel safe and cared for without worrying about being pressured for sex. Simultaneously, they can fulfill their desire to serve someone and be rewarded for a job well done. Often times, domestic servants exist alongside the Dominants full-time submissives, and don’t get a lot of one-on-one time with the Dominant because they’re usually performing their duties while the Dominant is at work, and they don’t typically live with the Dominant. Rewards for great service come in many forms, but the most common reward for domestic service is alone time with the Dominant, be it a date, shopping, or being spoiled. All most submissives want is to feel cared for, safe, and useful to whomever they are serving, as set forth in their contract.
The 24/7 Dynamic
A 24/7 live-in submissive performs all domestic and sexual duties for the Dominant, according to the contract they have arranged. Many of these submissives are actually wives and mothers, so these duties fit right in with their routine, but they have added significance because the Dominant has agreed to a much greater reward than, “thanks for buying the shaving cream I like babe.” A lot of what is required of a live-in submissive is expressed in daily rituals like (but not limited to): making breakfast, packing their Dominants lunch, setting out their Dominants clothes, doing laundry and putting it away correctly, making the bed, cleaning the house, going grocery shopping, having dinner on the table when the Dominant comes home, making sure the kids have done their homework and are ready for school the next day, and tucking in the kids at night and reading them a bed time story. Many do have cages, like this one. Some are kept in them for long periods, and some are just used for play. After everything for the day is done, kids or no kids, the Dominant and submissive spend time together and the submissive is rewarded for a good days work as the Dominant sees fit. Actual recognition from your partner for your hard work every day, imagine that!
Why live this way?
I have often thought about why I chose to finally tell my Husband what I needed, and have concluded that living this Lifestyle really does fill a huge hole in my psyche. I grew up in an extremely disciplined, military home, and I was majorly missing that discipline. At the time of my inception to the BDSM world, I felt like things were spinning out of control with our life, with school, just with everything. Having my Husband take the reins and literally make me follow chore lists, a homework schedule, an exercise schedule, a cooking schedule, and a schedule for everything else we could think of (because I’m obsessive compulsive) has really helped me become a more disciplined person. It has also helped alleviate the major anxiety I used to get from not feeling like I was doing everything I was supposed to be during the day, because my compulsions were getting in the way.
BDSM provides structure for many people like me who suffer from emotional and mental health issues. It also provides a way for us to let go, and just be who we are without repercussion, or judgment from others. I trust my Husband more than ever, because not only can I trust him to take care of me and keep me safe, but now I can trust him to call me on my bullshit and keep me in line when I am not capable of doing it myself. We have become closer than I ever could have imagined over the past three years since we started exploring the world of BDSM together. I’m grateful every day for this wonderful thing we have found.

Thoughts on t100 Fandom
Hey y’all,
I’ve been mulling over the following for a while and wasn’t sure if I was going to post it, but I’ve seen a few things on my dash lately that have swayed me to make this public. These thoughts aren’t directed at anyone in particular, just general Tumblr culture and t100 fandom specifically. I am not positioning myself as an authority on either in any way, but there are troubling trends even within my small fandom circle. I’ve seen too many people get hurt over misunderstandings and petty drama, but it doesn't have to be that way. Please know that I say all of these things with love and humility.
If you have an issue with someone that can be resolved privately, please consider resolving it that way. It keeps everyone else’s dash free of unnecessary drama and keeps things from spiraling out of control.
Along the same lines, if you see some vague posts flying around or accusations being levied against someone, talk to those people in private rather than contributing to an unfounded public discussion. Oftentimes those posts are misleading and end up damaging someone’s reputation for no reason.
Don’t hijack someone’s post. This means: if you have a strongly contradictory opinion about someone’s post, a negative opinion, or just an off topic response inspired by the post make your own post instead of reblogging theirs with your comment (esp if you don’t know the OP)--it’s just self preservation, honestly. Make sure you fully understand what the OP is saying you choose to reference it in any way. Things get twisted so easily on this site and before you know it you’ve started The Discourse.
Don’t speak over people and don’t discredit them for their age, race, sexuality, you name it. No one should feel ashamed to speak their mind especially in regards to fandom opinions (except literal nazis, fuck those guys). Tumblr culture encourages people to jump down each other’s throats rather than engaging in actual conversation. This competition to be the most progressive doesn’t translate to the way people are treated in these exchanges. Its very disheartening because often real issues are being discussed but the thread gets overtaken by name-calling and ad hominem attacks.
Nobody gets to speak for everybody. Learn to discern between real issues (and there sure are some!) and personal drama dressed up as as discussion of gospel truth. You are not obligated to agree with anyone else’s opinion, despite how much righteous anger might emanate from their post.
When it comes to criticism: everyone comes at fandom from a different perspective and background, and we all should be able to respect each other’s POV without immediately jumping to “You’re wrong bc you’re X” or “I’m right bc I’m Y.” There is a wonderful diversity in this fandom, and we need to appreciate that by listening to each other, not attacking each other.   **Please understand I am not excusing any bigoted behavior, for which I absolutely will not stand, or trying to invalidate anyone’s point of view, but too often this fandom jumps with a hive mind mentality to “this person is sexist bc they disagree with this person or this argument,” etc.**
Don’t be an asshole. Don’t send someone unsolicited negative opinions no matter how much you hate their ship or favorite character or interpretation of the show. It’s rude and unnecessary and creates a very toxic culture. Be snarky all you want with people who agree with you over private messages or on your own blog (we all need this, I repeat, WE ALL NEED THIS), but don’t shit in people’s inboxes and don’t drag people who like what you hate into it. No one ever had their mind changed by a nasty message, anon or not.
If one of your mutuals or friends engages in any of these destructive behaviors, talk to them! It’s possible that you don’t know the whole situation, but its also possible that they didn’t realize how they were coming across. It’s much better to have a friend approach you than to have your post taken out of context or turned into discourse. We all make mistakes, and it’s so easy for people to take things the wrong way when all you have is text.
Don’t let the negativity in your feed discourage you. The people who make fandom less fun only get air time if we let them, so instead of reblogging shitty posts because you like the drama, focus your energy on people who are making this fandom better.
Curate your dash. Follow who you want, don’t just follow people because they are popular if you don’t like what they post. If seeing someone or something in your feed bums you out, unfollow/block/blacklist that shit. It will improve your life SO MUCH, I promise.
You’re not a bad person because you like a fictional character or ship. Anyone who tell you that or gives you hate for it is wrong.  Especially with a show like t100, where it’s messy and fucked up and all our faves make all the wrong choices sometimes. Do I have characters I really dislike? Sure, of course I do. But I’m not going to think less of anyone who likes those characters. I will, however, think less of people who attack or belittle others for their character or ship preferences. Real people matter more than fictional characters, no matter what.
This fandom has so many amazing people in it, don’t forget that!! And the content creators...we are BLESSED. The fanart, fanfic, meta, edits, playlists, etc that y’all create blow me away each and every day. Keep reblogging the shit you like, because its amazing and it deserves all the credit in the world.
Every little act of kindness truly matters. Take minute to send a kind message to a friend, leave a review on AO3, submit compliments about underrated bloggers to t100positivity.
I hope this makes sense. I think we can work together to build a better fandom for everyone. I don’t want these types of habits to ruin anyone’s fandom experience or worse, especially as we head into s5. I’m always here if you need to talk, and I really appreciate everyone who has made my fandom experience so positive. Thank you ❤️

I keep seeing "blogs Homestuck characters would have” and I'm going to set the record straight
John: 2010 memes and tutorials on practical jokes. He posted a screamer once but a follower told him that was fucked up and he deleted it and never did again. Sends kind anon messages. Basically the leader of a whole friend group, seems to know everyone personally? He and Jane have running arguments about cake.
Dave: aesthetic pictures of swords that he's glitched beyond recognition, his own "art", basically a tumblr funnyman along the lines of like, slimetony, but with more SBAHJ. Lots of weird niche memes, makes his own music and it’s actually really good.
Rose: "Welcome to my twisted mind" is her header, no one can tell if she's serious or not. "Here's how to summon a demon" kind of tumblr witch. Probably the reason people in that world worry about the literal Stealing of Human Bones.
Jade: "I will take care of you with crystal energy" kind of tumblr witch. Lots of pictures of dogs and other cute animals! Didn't really figure out that you don't have to add comments to every post you see but it's okay because she's super sweet. Someone once sent mean messages to her and her friends and she took them down so brutally and effectively that they deleted. Everyone's a little scared of her but they love her so much.
Roxy: Used to post a lot of positivity for others along with a lot of self-hate, later revamped and is all about positivity all around. Also sends kind messages. When she deletes things They Stay Gone. Despite Dave's popularity her posts circulate the most and it's not uncommon for them to go around 4 or 5 times on everyone's dash per week. She's just nice. Once someone yelled at her for her posts about booze and alcoholism way back and she did the internet version of sitting them down and talking earnestly about addiction. They apologized. She said it was okay but never do that again because no one owes you their life story. Running series of "jokes" with Jane about being married, eventually they start dating.
Jane: tumblr version of those surreal food bloggers. She posts tons of recipes but they've got kinda weird shit in the background like "obey" in tiny font on the pictures and the descriptions are vague. Basically food gothic. Also posts terrible jokes and puns, on occasion starts discourse in the utensil and cake mix fandoms. Also posts A TON of comedians, Parks & Rec gifs of Ron Swanson, and makes gifsets of her favorite black-and-white noir detective films. Posts selfies of herself in a mustache. Replies to anon hate with stuff like "Listen, buster, I have literally dealt with attempts on my life. I have received letter bombs from people angry with my family's cake mix. You don't scare me." Once had a huge breakdown though. Everyone ships her and Roxy.
Dirk: Made a tumblr bot called, like, “halbotover9000″ or something, but it became sentient and started making callout posts for him and ruining his friendships. It went inactive for a while and everyone assumed he deleted the bot, but really he just passed it on to Equius. When it resurfaces there are just tons of posts about milk and horses.
Jake: He has no idea what he's doing, how do you use tumblr, can everyone see these posts? Here's a cool rock he found in the forest. Starts a whole Gigantic Tumblr Anger Thing, is totally oblivious until it all crashes down. Deletes his blog for a while and then makes a new one in which he barely interacts with anyone ever but he seems somewhat happier. Puts tags in the description like Jade, but more unintentional.
Aradia: Similar to Rose, but posts WAY more depression memes. Also her blog has a lot of archaeology stuff? Talks about time travel a lot, too. Really enthusiastic or totally apathetic there is no in-between. Has an elaborate ongoing roleplaying scenario with Vriska, Tavros, and Terezi. When Vriska hurt Tavros, she set a bunch of her followers (she calls them "ghosties") on Vriska, which ended with Vriska doxxing her. She came back though, in a quasi-relationship with Equius, who she broke up with after discovering lesbianism. Now gay as hell.
Tavros: POKEMON! GOTTA CATCH EM ALL! He posts a lot of stuff about the Peter Pan movies, books, musicals, etc. Reblogs posts about being disabled and also posts about self-esteem and how to build it. Is constantly being torn down by Vriska, eventually tells her to fuck off but not until WAY after the incident. He posts stuff about keeping animals, especially cows.
Sollux: Who are we kidding, he's on reddit. He says it’s because it’s cooler but he’s really just sort of scared.
Karkat: His blog is Emo(TM). He posts sad song lyrics, rom-com gifs, and FUCKTONS OF ANGRY POSTS ABOUT PEOPLE WHO DON'T LIKE WHAT HE LIKES. All his writing is in all caps, people ask why. He says it's because the world has earned his rage. Really the caps button got stuck a long time ago and he got used to it and now lower case looks weird.
Nepeta: Cat gifs cat gifs cat gifs!!!!! Volunteers at an animal shelter, posts about kitties looking to get adopted. Super sweet. Lowkey a furry and interacts on those "open rp" posts only to get made fun of, doesn't really understand it. Gets a ton of anon hate for no reason? But she's friends with Equius and Equius is.......... uh........ so eventually people leave her alone. She's listed as a "cringey" blog sometimes but everyone who actually follows her thinks she's adorable and is a little happier when they see her on their dash.
Kanaya: Lesbian Blog. Inserts herself into tumblr drama all the time to mediate, mostly ends up making things worse. Got so mad at Eridan that he deleted his blog, is very proud of this. Posts pictures of herself with her chainsaw and elaborate topiaries. Fashion aesthetic. People reblog her selfies with "holy shit step on me" and "I'm too gay" and she loves it.
Terezi: get ready for that shitty leetspeak, it's ya gal Terezi Pyrope here with so many gotdamn bright colors that your eyes will spin. You thought Dave had a bad theme? She's got the worst one. Posts memes about everything. Roleplays with Nepeta sometimes and no one can tell if it's sincere. Used to roleplay with Vriska but they had a horrible fight which ended in a way people don't really know but afterwards she got someone to post a picture of her with bandages all around her eyes and the caption "1M BL1ND NOW YOU DUMB FUCKS". People tried to call her out but damn she is. She is the law. Don't try that shit on her she'll destroy you.
Vriska: The literal worst. holy shit. Has done most of the terrible shit in the book. Scams people, doxxes them, sends SHITTONS of anon hate. Spams the block button on anyone who calls her out and then posts infinite shit about them. Pulls receipts. But she's holy shit pretty and has a legion of loyal followers who are just as willing to attack people because she Can Do No Wrong. A few people know about her awful home life but she warned them not to spread it on pain of death. Ran a fortune-telling blog but it was Bad Shit. Spiders, so many spiders.
Equius: Fetish blog he doesn't know is a fetish blog.
Gamzee: .............part of the clown uprising???
Eridan: "Eridan Ampora. 13. Male. Bisexual but don't let it fuckin fool you I don't take shit. White. My family has money. Basically everything tumblr hates. Women are bitches haha amiright?” Constantly posts about how he can’t get a date, also posts... wow some terrible shit. Also history, for some reason? And selfies with his rifle collection.
Feferi: ENDLESS CUTTLEFISH PICTURES. ENDLESS. SO MANY FISH PUNS! SHE TAKES PICTURES OF HER FISH AND GIVES THEM CUTE CAPTIONS. Was friends with Eridan for a while, eventually realized how terrible he was and left.

Hey I'm newish to the td fandom so do mind me asking who Tasha is?
I guess since she seems to have deleted i can tell the story now lmao
She was basically a fake identity created to harass """the populars™""" like if u heard of jaded teenage girl tashalovesnirvana u probably already know what her personality was like, but the td fanbase was basically her origins and it is an incredibly long story to tell u every little thing shes done so a tl;dr would be tasha is basically a harasser/stalker who traumatized a lot of people for many years. like she pretended to be so many other people and was very out for blood lmao. Also she was a fake persona, along w many others, created by the creator of theconfessioncam herself cherri (who hasnt been online since new years 2015) to make everyone miserable for “kicking her out the td fandom”
BUT IF U WANNA KNOW THE FULL STORY IT’S UNDER A CUT CAUSE BOI IS IT LONG AND TYPING IT FELT UNREAL
I already spoke abt theconfessioncam so we'll just skip to the day the person behind it was exposed. The person behind it was called cherri (isabelle was her real name but we all called her cherri bc it was in her url)
Cherri was infamous amongst the fanbase bc she shipped chrindsay and wouldn't understand why others didn't, was mostly anti sj/w, liked and defended the one character who shall not be named at the time people were calling out the issues they had w the character (all ppl calling out the issues being neurodivergent while she was neurotypical also this is discourse i am not willing to touch again so dont even think abt sending asks about this lmao), created the phrase "screw you i'm getting my duncney on" and constantly commenting abt why the fandom was toxic and shit like that. Most people would ignore her at first until after theconfessioncam turned out to be her. Many people presented proof and evidence and now she was public enemy #1 like no one liked her and one night everyone started calling her out for her shit and like she immediately blew up. On everyone. I'm p sure after that night the whole plot started.
So like. Shortly after comes a person called "holly-so-jolly" (who then became holly-smokes-molly for a short period of time in late 2015? 2016? fuck idk but her fame was very short but thats another story)Holly befriended cherri and her group of uglies so fast by always being like "wow fuck the populars"
the populars, a term coined in by theconfessioncam's anons, referred to ppl who would argue a lot abt smthn and others would agree w over well, cherris gang. Anyways holly would almost immediately always start a fight w the populars or say some problematic shit or stan for cherri a lot. I know y'all are wondering what this has to do w tasha but trust me we'll get there lol
A few days (maybe a day or two) after holly joins the fanbase, a new hateblog (SPECIFICALLY MADE TO SEND HATE ABOUT THE POPULARS) popped up. The populars would get anons about the hate blog seeing as it was so brand new that it wouldnt show up in the tag just yet. And these confessions were CRUEL. Like wishing death/murder upon these ppl, encouraging self harm, harassing minors (literally under 16 at the time), ableist comments, racism, transphobia, homophobia like it was all there. Someone else faked a new blog agreeing w these confessions and managed to speak to the new hate blog (this was someone who was undercover and managed to expose the person running that hateblog, which ended up being holly)
Holly then changed her url to winner-challenged to try to impersonate ryan, but them claimed to be other 2 people making an april fool's joke (in february no less lmao) and then she changed her persona completely to desireesparx and tried to pass off as a new person in the fanbase. But it didnt work and she deleted as fast as she came in. Antitotaldramapopulars only lasted one day. On the same day, theconfessioncam was deleted. People suspected cherri was behind all this all to which she claimed she wasnt but we all know the truth lol.
After holly hell, tasha fiasco started. And boy was tasha fucking persistent. Like she came in early 2014, and only JUST NOW DELETED. It is 2017.
Tasha-loves-duncney was ?? I guess ur basic td blogger who just loved duncney? No one had any thoughts of her at first until she made a post about not understanding why people hated mike. So people went on to explain. And i forgot rlly what happened but like tasha started getting more aggressive. Like she would reblog "the populars'" personal posts and mock them, she even added a comment hoping for the person's house to fall on them. Someone then made the "fly away tasha" comment and she CRIED because apparently she had been bullied for having a bird nose and been told that before so it only made the phrase stick. She then made an entire post saying rape wasnt bad or some weird ugly shit like that, and even after that she still had a few ppl supporting her (mostly other anti s/jws in the fanbase and cherris old friends ((also CHERRI WAS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND OR SEEN! SHE DISAPPEARED DURING ALL THIS LOL))) And that's when we all were all over her and i'm p sure it was when all the hate blogs came back.
I'm not sure if maybe i'm confusing it for another hateblog or if there was another one before this one (or i'm getting the timeline wrong bc is2g tasha deleted and came back so many times) but a confession blog popped up called "camerainthepotty" or smthn along the lines that just seemed to post whatever random weird asks ppl would send them. Then during that night it converted to tdgossipgirls and ?? It was such a weird blog lmao like just like antitotaldramapopulars, it aimed to bully the fandom populars in burn book style ? Tabloid magazine style? Point is we all knew it was tasha lmao and at this point it started to become clear who tasha really was. Whatever hateblog it was it would post fake edited asks allegedly sent by the populars themselves which gave us great classics such as "king bee ryan outtie!"
Anyways tasha liked another populars' personal post and people told her to delete bc it was a super heavy personal post. She claimed it was for support but like she finally deleted. And we were tasha clear for a few months? Weeks? (someone even took the url i think) so she then came back as "tashasbackbitches" and boi was she mad lmao. The whole tag asked her to fly away and she took a screenshot of it and claimed bullying. She then tried to ruin ale//noah day by posting pics of dunc/ney which compared to all she's done this is the most tame thing she had done but ppl were still mad abt that anyways lol. So i think a day later she made the anti-winnerchallenged blog specifically aimed at ryan for whatever reason. She ""accidentally"" made a post for anti-winnerchallenged on tashasbackbitches but like once ppl pointed it out something even weirder happened like it sounds fucking unreal but apparently it was a fake tasha???? According to real tasha??? Who was now back as "tashalovesduncney" with no hyphens?? And going to people's inbox saying that tashasbackbitches WAS NOT HER And that she had proof on her blog bc there was a pic of her holding a piece of paper w her url written on it and also an audio post explaining what happened.
So tashasbackbitches was deleted and now we were stuck with tashalovesduncney. Which at first was??? Idk but the audio post on her blog sounded high pitched like. It didnt sound like no human voice lmao. Also the pic of her had the piece of paper edited in. So someone pointed it out and like. She immediately assumed another ""popular"", cass, had sent it. And when i tell u this tasha was DARK AND OUT FOR BLOOD, I MEAN IT LMAO. Like tasha clung on to cass ever since. She would @ them and all that shit on posts and like. This tasha was out to attack. She would constantly say awful shit abt the populars and @ them in her posts, or she would @ well known anti sj/w blogs (such as p0ppypicklesticks, swimmninda/privilege u name it) and encourage them to slay our sjw asses. Not only that but now there was an anti-deadbyshawn blog to aim hate at cass specifically.
I guess at some point someone else came in the fandom by the name of staceyd123 and was received in many different ways like1. People assuming this was tasha2. People defending her bc she was a minor3. Tasha encouraging her to befriend her
However a lot of ppl started to believe this was a different person. She did befriend tasha and a lot of the ppl in the fandom and bc she was a minor a lot of the older kids protected her from tasha and constantly warned her. Sometime between that antitdpopulars came back and more fake asks were posted, populars were being blamed on for the blog to bring attention to themselves. Not sure if it was earlier or at this exact time but i think it would tie into the next event better.
so tasha and stacey had this BIG FIGHT i guess cause stacey outed tasha for running the new anti populars blog and in this fight tasha blamed stacey for staceys parents divorcing and stacey claimed tasha clipped her toenails in a voice call and like. It was so odd at this point tasha started making fake asks about the people who supported her lmao. Then she would submit herself to blogs to send love to ppl being bullied and then those ppl would fight us and the whole night was a mess. Stacey had deleted and then tasha kept her url. I'm p sure sometime later tasha deleted too?? She came back as a sideblog the next time.
Stacey came back a bit around the same time and ofc had ppl on her side welcoming her back. Almost immediately. Another new persona came in at the time too known as ""fucknmacine18??"" He changed the url to "thechazmeister" or whatever but he was basically a dumb white straight dude fake persona that claimed to have abandoned the south park fandom. Once in the td fandom, he would reblog a lot of the girls selfies and make comments on them also claiming to fall in love w one of the populars? Two of the populars? Idk but point is him being there was. Irrelevant for a while. He would send uncomfortable asks to stacey apparently and also told tasha to fly away/rejected her or some weird shit that happened there idk the story of that but i know tasha was trying to befriend him and flirting w him lmao.
Several hateblogs came out too, one being psychoanalyzing the populars which would reveal incredibly personal information about them (based on their personal posts) and evaluate them. It was a really fucked up blog and no one knew how on earth she managed to get that information. The other one was very tame, it was battleofthepopulars or smthn like that which consisted of the populars being in a td  like setting and each being voted off everyday and like. No one rlly paid attention to it lol. In the end when she booted off one of the populars, she ranted that it was bc she had blamed cherri for something she didn't even do. Which was suspicious seeing as tasha wasnt here around that time, meaning this person knew about cherri being exposed as theconfessioncam.
During that same time, tasha was still very much clinging onto cass. Sending them fanmails as she couldnt send asks since she was on a sideblog. Meaning she followed ppl on an unknown main blog. Cass would receive over 200 fanmails a day from tasha. Tasha even changed her blog's url to match cass'. One night tasha got tired of being ignored and blackmailed cass into talking to them, or their friends would be harassed. The main tag was full of tasha posting edited pictures of ryan on the main td tag, personal posts of another one of cass' friends with the read more code taken off. It was a horrible night. But in the end tasha exposed her main blog was staceyd123. Tasha had faked being stacey which would explain how she managed to get the personal information for her psychoanalyzations blog. She explained it was because she was someone who got kicked out of the fandom by “tortellani and the other populars” and that she finally knew what it was like living like a popular. She then proceeded to spam the tag w animal gore knowing it was a heavy trigger for one of the populars. Stacey/tasha then deleted. Never to be heard of until...oh no wait, we almost forgot our buddy chaz.
So chaz stuck around and made dumb posts and like. No one really cared for him. Until he wanted to be seen as a threat so he made a hate blog on american thanksgiving day taking the populars' descriptions on their mobile blogs and making them bad adding racist/homophobic commentary. It was here where he stole 2 urls belonging to two other populars and tried to pass off as them. Cass had remade, but chaz took their current url (hottiemcfright) as well as the tortellani url belonging to the other person who had changed urls to avoid traffic from TiA. So that night chaz. God it was a blur but he pretended to be those two people and filled the tag w a bunch of animal gore. Tumblr did jump on that and deleted him. Chaz was another of tasha's personas so, NOW we don't hear of tasha until february of 2015.
So now under the url: tashalovesnirvana, she sent popular bloggers racist slurs thinking she was on anon and then begged for them not to be posted and theyre posted for everyone to read. No one thought twice about it when the screenshots were going around but eventually ppl in the td fanbase noticed that tasha had sent those. And i mean, you can basically look this up as it spread from just the td fandom to literally all of tumblr knew about her. They made her asks into copypastas. And it got rlly funny bc at some point she didnt even know who kurt cobain was.
Anyways after this mess she deleted but she came back. Except this time tumblr updated the blocking system so it could actually work. And boy did it work well. Tasha did get 15 minutes of fame (or less) again when she came back but everyone would just block her and she would never be heard of again. She was still there reblogging posts from the ppl she hated toLet them know. She would try to get their attention but. The moment she would contact them she'd get hit w the block button. So naturally she brought back her persona "holly" as a stoner girl "holly-smokes-molly" who also had a short lived fame but then, again, people stopped caring after they had blocked her.  One of her comebacks was her coming back as a woke feminist but no one else cared about her. Tasha was an old meme, so 2 years ago. No one else gave attention to her.
In 2017 she finally deleted. Like the url isnt even hoarded so that's how u know that it's all done. It took 3 years for her to leave us alone. 3 traumatizing years. A lot of the people involved were minors too.
I know i probably messed up some parts of this or got confused w the many hateblogs she made but like. Trust me when i say that she remade so many times it's hard to keep track of all the weird shit she has done. Also i've been typing this since 8am and i still shake a bit thinking about this lol.
