#about me #like #a guy from Uni invited me tonight to cook something #I’ve known him for like half a year #back then we had our internship together #and he had a girlfriend #but a few weeks ago we met by chance in the same cafe #and we said that we would catch up soon #and last week we had a coffee #and he told me that he broke up with his girlfriend a few months ago #but no real details #so I don’t know what happened #and today he spontaneously invited me over to cook something and sleep at his place #and now I don‘t know if this is like a friendly thing or a date date #and I’ve never seen him in a romantic way before #but I feel like he was kind of flirting last time #but I also don’t want to be like a placeholder #because it was his longest relationship apparently and idk #I don’t even know if I’m romantically interested in him

i feel like i am finally making friends and i am very happy

#i’m meeting my other friend who i haven’t talked to in a while for coffee next week (she had covid for a while) #and i’m going to the thrift store with some new friends i made last week this weekend #and i get to hang out with my class friend in between classes and get smoothies #yayyyyyy #it’s such a huge relief because i have been feeling so alone and alienated but it’s nice to have people i can talk to and feel comfortable #being around even if we aren’t that close. yeah.

we didn't realize how much we missed school. we're getting back into the swing of things and it's wonderful, it's so healing. yes i would love to take notes from the textbook, please inform me about the presentation you're giving, i'd be happy to meet with you this Friday to discuss what i missed last class

#we met with a professor to discuss a class we missed and he offered us coffee and it just hit us like holy shit. we love academia we missed #this so much we feel so at home at university. when our sociology professor from last semester saw us she gave us a hug and she was excited #to hear that we're double majoring in anthropology and sociology now. we sat in the food court with a bowl of food and realized how #comfortable we were despite being surrounded by people. there's so much to see and do and read and people to talk to. we decided last night #which highlighters we'll use for which subject. this Friday we think we'll explore the campus and go to places we don't have a reason to be #in. we stayed at a friend's last night until 1am and we were overjoyed by the presence of his drunk roommates and their friends even though #they were loud and perhaps because of it. they were so kind and they took up so much space and it made us realize just how lonely we had #been and how badly we needed that. to be around people. we got advice yesterday on how to tailor our resume and we're going to look #for a job once we've done our class readings for this week. we feel so damn at home here. so comfortable. we're in our element this feels #like it's where we're supposed to be and we're not taking that for granted GODS we love university #rambling

god nobody understands how fucking happy i was exactly two weeks ago and how much ive been feeling like im never gonna be this happy again ever since

#last thursday/friday night was like My day. #waking up on thursday i knew that it was rw*b night which like. i was so fucking excited about Bing not in the way most people would think #or understand. anyway. i woke up knowing this and to the 1989 tv announcement. it was the first day of summer again after two weeks of cold #and rain. i got up and did my make up and got on a train to a bigger city nearby on my own just to get coffee and buy a book. #then i sent to the supermarket and bought stuff to make my honey we gotta get you on truvada rw*b cake. got back home around midnight and #started making the cake until almost three am which is when the movie dropped and i was like. so fucking excited and had the time of my life #with those first 45 minutes. had barely to none symptoms of mental illness that day. i was SO happy. #and i woke up the next morning feeling so angry about the way the rest of the movie wasn’t a bad masterpiece and also felt so empty. #and i haven’t stopped feeling empty since and rn the mental illness symptoms are back in full force. nice

Still thinking about that weird version of ping pong that the kids at my highschool used to play. In order for someone to score a point, the ball had to bounce at least once on the opposing side of the table, and then bounce twice on the ground. If it only bounced once on the ground and the other person hit it back onto the table, it was still in play. Does that version of ping pong have an actual name or is it something my school made up?

#melon rambles #it was a really small private school #and they clipped a net onto a spare table in the cafeteria to play #and because you can still score the ball if it touches the ground #nowhere was safe #it was chaos and I was very bad at it but it did provide entertainment during lunch #I remember seeing my math teacher walk by with a cup of coffee and the ball just landed straight in it #ping pong was banned a week or two later #the next school year the student government managed to fundraise and buy a pingpong table and put it in an adjacent room #so we had actual ping pong tournaments and the faculty didn't mind because the chaos was contained in somewhere other than the cafeteria #but last I heard after I left ping pong was banned again at the school #which is quite the shame because that felt like a core part of the experience
