My First Impressions of NCT Before I Became an NCTzen (Part 1: '94-96' Liners)

Taeil: For some reason I thought he was the leader. I didn't think he was the oldest, probably thought he was in the middle. I thought he was very serious, definitely thought he was a vocalist. You know what...He definitely gave me Jongho from Ateez vibes without the cuteness. Could definitely knock a bitch out for some reason. He definitely gave off that vibe. Something just told me he could.

Johnny: I did NOT think he was the second oldest member of the group. Hell, I didn't even think he was in the hyung line...He gave me major goofy vibes, very sexy though. Idk he just has a super goofy look. Before I got into NCT, I knew of him but I couldn't tell you what I thought his role in the group was.

Taeyong: I had no idea why his face was everywhere. At the time, I didn't even know there was a center role in K-Pop groups (or in any group) so I was just like damn...SM got a favorite! Rightfully so because I thought he was so cute and unique looking. In terms of the vibes that he gave off...I couldn't tell you what they were. He was so hard to read, I remember just thinking he was cool as fuck. Hear me out...Remember when Justin Bieber went through that Bizzle phase? That's what he reminds me of. Not the lightskin delinquent part, but rather the swagger and the fact that mf was EVERY. WHERE. Unreadable but was fine as hell, the hot topic, in every hit song, and a lot of tattoos. But Taeyong style. With a unique sense of fashion. I didn't think he was the leader.

Yuta: Super quiet yet sexy. I didn't think there would be much to him in terms of humor for some reason (I was proven wrong as HELL). Tell me why I thought this mf was a rapper? He doesn't have that niggaboo shit going on so I'm not sure why I thought that? I guess because he just gave off a certain edgy vibe, I thought SM would assign him as a rapper? I'm not sure tbh. I'm glad he wasn't chosen as a rapper, though, because he has a gorgeous voice like wtf...Also this is so funny but he gave me the impression that he wouldn't hurt a fly. Like, as in he would never fight someone but...LMFAO we know damn well he would beat the dog shit out of somebody.

Kun: I first saw Kun in one of those little skit thingies where he was with Jeno,Jaemin, Haechan, Renjun and I forgot who else, and they had to find out who killed somebody. You know what I'm talking about? Kun's role in that was a police officer (or security guard) and he looked FINE AS SHIT. He had long hair at that time. Anyway, I thought he was so damn sexy and smart. He gave off major serious, don't fuck with me, vibes. Like if he was my coworker, we would only speak from 9am-5pm. Not before or after. He didn't strike me as the kind of person that would go up to a coworker in public and say hi to them, but would politely smile if the coworker noticed him first and greeted him. Would hate California, but would prefer New York. IDK that's the vibe I had gotten from him.

Doyoung: I thought he was a nerd. I would have guessed he was a vocalist 100%. Definitely gave me the vibes of someone that sang in his church's choir when he was growing up. He definitely took it very seriously and was a snitch. He gave me the impression that he was sweet. Idk he just has the face of someone that is a major sweetheart. Very adorable cheeks.

Ten: Ten is an interesting individual because he was the member I saw the most aside from Taeyong. I remember thinking he took dancing very seriously and wasn't here for the nonsense. He seemed very likable but to himself. Like the type of person that everyone in school knows, but he only knows the people he associates with. I couldn't tell you if he was a singer or rapper in the group, but obviously I knew he was a dancer. I think there was a time I assumed he was the leader. I remember being surprised that he's younger than Johnny.

goodness Ivan actually believing in this cause makes me so sad because he too has been victimized by the system that ostracizes Grisha and he has every right to feel the way that he does

also I understand that this Mal Darkling fight is completely fanservice and serves nearly no purpose to the plot in general but like I? love it?

Monsta X - Who owns what era?

I did BTS even though they aren’t at the very top of my list of ult groups, but do you know who is?... Monsta X and A.C.E. sO GUESS WHO IS DOING THIS WITH MONSTA X BECAUSE NOBODY IS AWAKE TO TELL ME THAT THIS IS GOING TO KILL ME? THAT’S RIGHT. ME.

Hero - Lmfao I get to the very first music video and I am already discouraged because this is going to be so hard. All 7 of these boys have my entire heart. Fuck. Okay. Uh... I want to say Jooheon because this was my very first Monsta X song I ever heard, and it was because him and his red hair drew me in. But I know I will pick him for many other songs, so I am going to try to get strict. I think it has to be Changkyun for this one. His rap verse kills me every single time I hear it. It is SO...SO GOOD. He drew my attention every single time I saw it, before I even know who the boys were.

Runner up: Shownu! His vocals in this song are put out there for all to see, and they really are so beautiful. His high notes are so pretty, his REGULAR notes are so pretty. Astounding.

Jealousy - I am trying not to pick Jooheon for every single era. This one goes to Wonho, he KILLED the vibe of this song. He looked amazing in the video. He made my heart race because we all know how jealous he can really be.

Runner up: JOOHEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON. The growls and snarls and the enunciation of his words? I’m horny for Jooheon it’s not a fucking secret alright? but also Kihyun’s vocal runs in the background? Beat my ass vocal king

Runner up: Honestly I had to really think about this and I think Minhyuk! He looked amazing in the mv, he had a lot of charisma, I was incredibly drawn to him

Rush - Idk man... Shownu or Hyungwon? Shownu is just so cute in the music video lmao. But Hyungwon’s vocals AND charisma are amazing here to me, so probably Hyungwon~

Runner up: Kihyun looks so good are you kidding me? Stop, rewind, pause, observe.

Middle Of The Night - I have to give this one to Changkyun or Hyungwon. Their voices were MADE for this song. Vocal Hyungwon SHINING THROUGH. I think I will give it to Changkyun though

Runner up: Kihyun. Because we are “kithing” in the car. But also Jooheon because the “Back to our own ways in the middle of the night” he does at the end of the song really fires up my oven.

Play It Cool - Finally, Kihyun’s much deserved throne. His beautiful voice was so, so good with this. It’s always good tbh. He deserves the world

X-Phenomenon - Lmfao it’s Jooheon again I am sorry, he is just too attractive sounding and looking in this music video. I really am only finding out how much of a filthy sl*t I am for Jooheon right now.

Follow - WONHO, TAKE YOUR THRONE! I got to hear his voice crystal clear in this song, he looked AMAZING in the video, his charisma was FIRE. I have this thing where my brain protects me from the pretty boys of groups because I know they will absolutely destroy me. So people like Wonho, Jaehyun, Jungkook, don’t affect me. Eventually they all break down my walls though, and Wonho has done that recently. I’m sorry I didn’t appreciate you sooner, my angel. Come back soon.

Runner up: TIKKI TAKKA, TIKKI TAKKA, TAKKA. But also Hyungwon lookin’ really good doing that dance... damn.

Alligator - Ah... We had to come to this song sooner or later... Listen, Jooheon. It’s Jooheon. The black hair, the black clothes and that trenchcoat, the bat on fire, the duality of his rapping, the snarls, genuinely I cannot handle it and I cannot choose anybody else I am SORRY.

Runner up: Wonho is SO beautiful in this mv. He does an amazing job, he deserves his props. But also Kihyun makes me sweat in this mv. And then he has the nerve to switch it up and wear glasses and have sweater paws. Filth.

Stuck - WONHOOOOOOO. Listen... The blonde hair, the choker, the possessed demon head roll thing, I mean come on... For once I don’t have to struggle to look past Jooheon

Runner up: Absolutely Kihyun. He looks amazing with the undercut what can I say. Also in all black? Fuck. He out here showing some skin from those pants too eye---

Beautiful - I think Minhyuk takes this one! And no it isn’t because red hair is my weakness and his promo pictures for the comeback murdered me... Though those factor in ldfjfdkhgufdh. Do you hear his voice in this song???? It’s so light and sweet, just like him. I can’t get enough.

Runner up: Wonho! He really pulls off blonde somehow??? And the blue suit? And his voice paired with it? Pure. Bliss. Kihyun as well, his vocals hit deep in my soul. And he looked SO handsome here.

Gone Bad - I know it’s a B track but it has a music video technically so you can’t fault me. This one goes to Kihyun too! He looks amazing, he sounds amazing, his Charisma for filming self-cam music videos is sexy, what can I say?

Unfair Love - This one goes to Minhyuk, our soft and sweet boy. He looks beautiful here and he sounds beautiful here and he really does deserve more love. I think people should go listen to his covers and osts.

ok panic concert highlights

(plus some personal adventures)

this was the portland show on the 12th k

so it was a fuckin hour and a half drive bc where i fuckin live now is far away from everything i hate it anyway that sucked & i ran my phone down to 80 percent during said drive which proved problematic

we get there (me & my lil sis) & our dad drops us off & we run up & im bitching about how weird the fucking venue is (it’s normal, it’s just not what i’m used to - in vegas the venues were typically in the casino/resorts so you lined up inside the halls & sat against the walls & tourist-watched, in this venue u stood outside in a line???? ughhh)

so we approach the line & something happens, i’m gonna make a separate post about it because holy shit

befriended two excitable gay kids, maybe 8th or 9th grade?? & i was like woah i was u once. now im old & jaded. eugh. then they bailed on me so.

we got into the arena & were on the wrong fucking side so we had to JOG all the way AROUND THE WHOLE FUCKINGN PLACE UGH

one, i never was heavy into panic, but considering how obsessive i was into bandom a few years back, i still know a lot about early panic, livejournal shit, ryden bullshit, etc, so it was really weird being there with normies who were just like “he’s hot & sings good” when i was like “yall lucky fucks never heard of myrtle beach ” dsjfnjsdnfds

two, four years into panic & i never was attracted to brendon, but dude, EVERYONE fell in love with him at this show, myself included, & i was starin at this bitch ass motherfucker in a trance before i was like “wait ur a bastard STOP U ENDEARING DICKWAD” he was so fucking endearing it was ANNOYING cuz i’ve seen some of the shit he’s pulled damnit. srsly tho, so absolutely charming, wow.

three, and what stuck with me most; brendon loves what he does. a little bit of exhibitionism, i think; he likes ppl looking at & admiring him, he’s that type of person, a showman, but also, i think he just loves making music, people singing along to the music, etc. ive been to eight concerts now, and i don’t think i’ve seen someone who clearly loved being on stage so much. a lot of ppl act like it’s a chore to tour, but brendon clearly loves it, and it made me happy, especially as an aspiring musician.

four, the straighties drooling over him and the gays drooling over him was truly straight/gay solidarity

bruhhhh I don’t follow/stan a lot of kpop groups, but when I’m learning about a new one idk why but my biases tend to be the leaders..... even before i find out they’re the leader like wHAT

I mean, I use the term “bias” liberally ‘cause I’m still not super familiar with the group but I do find myself biased towards a certain member, and that member tends to be the leader omfg

here’s my bias list - not that anyone particularly asked LOL but hey this is my blog it’s not like anyone’s gonna remember lmfao

UKISS - first ever group I stanned :’) hardcore biased towards Soohyun ‘cause of his voice and face and general dorkiness

EXO - hardcore biased towards Kris. I know he’s not in exo anymore and somehow suho just isn’t clicking with me (i still appreciate him tho) but dude Kris will always be my #1 Leader bias

Sistar - I first noticed Bora bc I was using her as an fc but then as I started watching their videos I became super Hyorin biased fghskjfhsgkfh she’s just. so gorgeous and her smile and voice are literally perfect

EXID - I was fricken Solji biased from the start ‘cause of her voice and she’s gorgeous I love her eyes and her smile wtf!!!!!

NCT - the first fc I used from NCT was Taeyong, but I never actually watched them until today and .... whaddaya know.... he’s the damn leader

Monsta X - I’m using Shownu as an fc because I really like his face and suddenly I discover that he’s the fricken leader ahahahhahhha

oh boy… here we go LOL. so below is a solid wall of text a small-ish desc of each member (except jungkook who i already wrote an essay abt here lol) and my reaction to seeing them irl akdkfksd

♡ to answer ur question, yes jimin is smol compared to the other members. imo, jimin was the prettiest out of all the members. rather than small, i’d say he’s really petite….. almost delicate? graceful? that same kinda aura a dancer has. his movements were so powerful and fluid. and he moves around alot when he performs, leaning back and bending forwards, body rolling everywhere. i rate him 45% cute and 55% sexy. bc he literally is sexy and cute at the same time. he smiles with that angelic face but does body rolls with his body??? no offence but thats cheating and i hate him. how dare he combine these two deadly attributes so well sdhfjd. he was SUPER SMILEY during soundcheck. after jungkook had wandered down the center aisle to where i was standing, jimin came over too. i think it was during namjoon’s rap in dope, he looked so impressed by how loud the crowd was when we chanted the fanchant parts and smiled SO BIG. mochi sexy is well and thriving ;_;

♡ namjoon is SO HANDSOME. he gave off this aura… like this imposing, suave af aura, idek if that’s the word to describe it properly. he’s intimidating, in a really hot way shdjjfdhddfdfj. just by looking at him and the way he holds himself, he looks like a leader, the kingpin. he’s rly tall, like we all know that, but OMG his legs are so long, plus since i were looking up at him, it gave him even more of an illusion of height. he’s so fucking charismatic when he raps omfg, like during cypher, he fucking killed his verse, tore it all the way up. his eyes sparkle so much when he talks and laughs, like during his ment, and he becomes so soft and giggly. he’s beautiful. he speaks so eloquently too and HIS VOICE. MY GOD. his speaking voice is so gorgeously deep i wanted to roll around in it forever.

♡ when i saw seokjin on the screen for the first time during not today, i choked!!!! @stylists, thank u so much?? for styling his hair like that for the concert, i am forever in debt to you. seokjin’s visuals have always been a 12/10, but it doesn’t compare to seeing it irl. MY EYES LITERALLY WATERED DURING AWAKE…. i couldn’t really see him on the main stage so i was staring at the screens and HE LOOKED INTO THE CAMERA SO MANY TIMES with that longing, lingering gaze and exposed forehead and WOW BYE BITCH NO ONE SURVIVES THAT SHIT. he looked alot taller than i had thought too. but unlike namjoon, his aura was sort of princely. like, he had just walked out of a fairytale as the tall handsome talented prince. HE WAS SO FUNNY TOO OK. like his ment was fucking hilarious. and he kept messing around with jungkook during the soundcheck anjdjhshjdjhsdsdh. HE ALSO BLESSED EVERYONE WITH HIS FLYING KISSES AT EVERY OPPORTUNITY. to receive those kisses irl and not through a screen was truly smth ill never forget.

♡ ok, so imo, tae and jin are the visuals of this visual group called bts. they are just exceedingly good-looking. which is why, when tae walked out during soundcheck, i screamed so loud my throat went raw, bc it was just my initial reaction in order to overcome the shock of realising i was looking at the face of a god. honestly, i didnt even pay attention to the other members for a hot second bc i was too busy gaping at tae and yelling at my friend, “HOLY FUCK TAE IS BEAUTIFUL??????” just….his face is superior. jawline so sharp i wanted to get sliced!!!!!!!!! hes so charming too, he kept crouching down in front of the stage, resting one side of his face on his hand for a moment, looking into the crowd. but yeah, i just vividly recall myself losing all my shits when i first saw him lmfao.

♡ seeing yoongi irl was the most surprising i think. i know hes a cutie, but even when he was at rest in the concert, i kept thinking, “he. is. so. fucking. cute.” like…. idk what it was. it wasn’t even his height or anything, it was his face. HIS FEATURES ARE SO SOFT. nothing about min yoongi irl was harsh. imo he was the softest looking member. every time they stopped to talk or say their ments and it wasnt his turn, yoongi would be looking into the crowd quietly. i felt like he was trying his best to get a look at every single fan’s face, bc he was continuously staring at the crowd. there was always a very very slight smile tugging at his lips tho, but he was the quietest and calmest of all the members. WHEN HE DID SMILE BIG, IT WAS SO RADIANT. i took quite a few pictures of him smiling after his ment, bc it was a such a big joyous gummy smile and my heart with doing flips.

♡ hoseok. wow. where do i begin. hoseok literally kicked my entire ass to the moon on every level except physical. almost all my friends came back from their concerts with the words, “hoseok is beautiful” hanging off their lips and i’m not joking……HOSEOK IS BEAUTIFUL. he had so much stage presence, like it’s overwhelming. every time he came to the front of the stage, my breath would hitch in my throat. CLOSE UP HE IS EVEN MORE GORGEOUS. like, his features are soooooo nice… his nose, his mouth…HIS SMILE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! every time he flashed a smile at the crowd I GASPED. every. single. time. also, my favourite thing abt hoseok is how he SMILES SO MUCH during performances. it was the reason why mama was the best solo stage to me, he looked like he was having so much fun! HE’S A PERFORMER IN EVERY SINGLE WAY, a pro! hoseok was also really good at fanservice. he seemed to favour the front of the stage, doing his raps close to the edge etc, so lucky me!!! i got to bask in his presence at a closer proximity countless times ahshbhdjshjsdsd. so yeah if ur not already a hoseok stan, you will be a hoseok stan after u watch him perform live.

the one thing that was universal for all 7 members, was how PRETTY they were. when i tried to think of the right word to use, ‘pretty’ explained it the best. even though they were right in front of me, i was so shocked by how unbelievably pretty they were. they all look as if they crawled out of some unrealistic shoujo manga as the hot smart and talented boy the protagonist falls in love with.

This boy would not let it go unnoticed that you were wearing a skirt (he would practically scream from the rooftops that you were not wearing jeans like you usually did). You’d walk in the room where all of the members were hanging out to ask Dawon a question and his eyes would nearly fall out of their sockets and roll around the floor. He’d quickly look around at the other guys and their heads would all snap down to look at their hands or their phones or whatever so that he wouldn’t kill them for looking at you. He’d go over to you and sort of whisper-scream at you, “Y/N, WHERE ARE YOUR PANTS?” You’d be really confused and he’d smack his forehead bc you had no idea that you were dangerously close to giving him a raging boner nosebleed (I’m so sorry I don’t know what is wrong with me today I think it’s my hormones).

This boy would love love love to see his girl wearing a short skirt. When he saw what you were wearing for your date, he started blushing so hard that he looked like an actual tomato. Seriously though, I think he would like he had transformed into a literal fucking tomato he’d be so red (i think i said this in my bf post for him but i feel like he has a thing for legs so you wearing a skirt would murder him). He would be so flustered he that he wouldn’t even be able to speak, he’d just sort of grunt in shock or something (he’d try super super hard to not look you up and down bc he is a getleman but bruh he would be struggling).

SEOKWOO WOULD GO INTO MOM MODE FASTER ZUHO CAN RAP WITH COINS IN HIS NOSE (damn, mik, that’s fast af). As soon as he saw what you were wearing, he would be both immensely turned on and horrified. This literal mom would sprint to you and use his giant body to shield you from the confused gazes that the two of you were receiving from the rest of sf9 (who would just be chillin at the other end of the room). He’d bend down to you and whisper, “Hi, sweetie, you look really really pretty today in that *gulps* skirt but I have a super comfy pair of sweatpants with your name on them in my room.” You’d look at him for a sec then smack him in the back of the head and go on with your business bc you’re an independent woman who don’t need no man telling her what to wear (fuck yea, you go girl). Don;t worry though, the defeated mom would live to fight another day.

Taeyang:

Hold on a second, I’m laughing just thinking about how lit Tae would be if you wore a skirt in front of him…….. ok, I’m good. I can see him just chilling on the couch and you walk past him in your short skirt and making him literally fly out of his seat and into space bc he’d be so fucking lit. This sunshine would dance for joy and probably body roll his way over to you and tell you how much his boomy boomy liked that (you know what i’m just going to own how much of a perv i am at this point). When look around all confused bc srsly wtf was that, you suddenly notice a crazed Hwiyoung flying toward you. He latches onto you and whispers in your ear, “You look so pretty, Y/N” (sheesh, what a creep).

This poor boyfriend would be in shambles if you wore a skirt. He wouldn’t be able to focus on anything. Like he’d be pouring himself a glass of milk or some shit and totally miss the cup bc he was too busy staring at you in your itsy bitsy skirt. Or if he was in dance practice, he’d space out bc he was thinking about you looking freakishly beautiful in a skirt. He would go through the whole day wanting to pull his fucking hair out bc of what you were doing to him. When he had finally had enough, he would pull you into a room where you two could be alone and just sort of hand you a pair of pants, “Please, end my suffering, Y/N.” (idk why i made his reaction so angsty but it just felt so right)

at night you guys cuddle in a Huge fluffy bed, and he just. Talks. hes got such a nice voice that anything he says is comforting. also, whenever you’re sick, he sings you to sleep!!! cute!
