(RWRB)- the phantom touch of your hand (tentative title) - (Fantasy/cursed tattoo fic!AU) Two young swordsmen are determined to vanquish a sorcerer who has laid a tragic curse on them both. The problem is, the curse keeps them from being together at the same time, doomed to travel alone, one by day, the other by night - the only reminder of the other being the cursed tattoo burned into their skin.
(Klaine) - Untitled Klaine fic (While You were Sleeping!AU) - Kurt Hummel always wanted to live in NYC - his dreams were to be on Broadway. Being on the Broadway stage that is. Kurt and Blaine met just as they did in canon, and even though Blaine realizes when Kurt sings Blackbird that he's in love with Kurt, he never says anything, and Kurt goes back to McKinley. Blaine transfers to McKinley for senior year, and they are best friends, bonding on being the only two out guys at McKinley until Karaofsky comes back. And he's out and proud, and he wants Kurt. And so he asks Kurt to be his prom date, repeatedly until Kurt, in frustration, finally blurts out that someone already asked him. He said the first name that came to mind, Blaine's. On top of that, he tells Dave that they are now dating. Now, Kurt needs to convince his best friend to take him to the biggest event of their high school year, senior prom.

A take on the "prince/king!Blaine and prince/king!Kurt are getting married and have to do it while naked in front of their loyal subjects" trope. It’s pure crack taken seriously. I’m blaming the heat. The fic started as this wisp of an idea and a single funny Kurt line. It was supposed to all be fast paced and instead sometimes dissolves into a bit of world building, exposition, and Kurt feelings. I do try my best and hope that at least some of the jokes and humor land. It also developed a full blown plot that has a beginning and an end.

Nolo Pasaro - Growing up, Nolo had a pack of Bicycle brand playing cards and a dream. Now, he can run a whole game night with nothing but that same pack of cards. In fact, he does it regularly. Poker, Rummy, War, you name it. He knows the rules like the back of his hand. His all time favorite however, is Spoons. No matter who’s playing, it always gets absurdly intense. He loves watching everyone scramble to snatch a spoon when a suit of four is thrown down. The Teku are definitely intense, but it only gets worse when the rivalry between them and the Metal Maniac turns friendly, and they start getting invited to join. On the other hand, watching Mark practically throw himself over the table in an effort to snatch a spoon before his brother could grab one has got to be one of the funniest things he’s ever witnessed.
Very Wheeler - Skate 3 connoisseur. Vert fucking LOVES Pictionary. Like I don’t know to explain to y’all how hard this dude laughs watching people’s interpretations of what the original prompt was devolve into sometimes completely unrelated or ridiculous. Vert has even taken to throwing in some of his own prompts just to mix the game up a bit. For example- “Worlds Greatest Driver” was a prompt that Kurt got to start with. Obviously, he drew a stick figure version of himself. Mark was right after him, so seeing the shitty stick version of his brother, he just wrote down “bastard.” It devolved further from there. Another fun one was when Banjee got the prompt “Fast & Furious” and forgot that the movies existed, so he just drew Taro under the pretense that he fit description.
Shirako Takamoto - Shirako is a master at Mario Party. It’s gotten to the point where it’s basically everyone vs. Shirako whenever they play. He’s just too good at all the mini games. They will actively try and sabotage him and it doesn’t even matter, he’ll still end the game with the most stars collected. He has the strats!!! On top of that, he’s also unusually good at Scrabble for some reason. People assume it has something to do with all the music he listens to, but really he just plays it online all the time, so when game night rolls around he just destroys everyone. Vert lost his mind when Shirako played the word “quixotic” once. He was convinced Shirako was just making up words for high scores, but lo and behold, they looked it up and it’s a legal word to play!
Kurt Wylde - King of pit maneuvering people off the track ironically enjoys the game Sorry. The joy he feels booting someone back to the start is only matched by the excitement he feels during a race. He literally is such a rude bastard (lovingly). He is 100% the type of player to always boot the same person back to start just to mess with them. In his mind, less competition means a better chance at winning. Uno is a very close second. He will legit sit on those +2 & +4 cards and just wait to ruin someone’s day. “Oh you’re about to call uno? Go ahead and pick up the whole deck.” Like Vert, he also takes some liberties with those ‘make your own rule’ cards. They’re always so targeted too. Stuff like ‘let Monkey drive your car or pick up 25 cards’ and ‘get Taro to talk for more than 5 minutes or swap a hands with who’s losing.”
Karma Eiss - Battleship baby!! She is the queen of strategy games especially when it comes to stuff that involves reading people. Like, by the time someone hits one of her ships, she’s usually got half their fleet wiped out. People have tells. The closer she is to whoever she’s playing with, the faster the game goes. Particularly with people who wear their hearts on their sleeves. Vert and Nolo are the easiest to beat by far. Vert always tries to laugh or talk about something else when Karma hits close to one of his ships and Nolo over compensates. Kurt’s a little harder to beat because he’s got a pretty good poker face, but Shirako is definitely the hardest. Due to him constantly just vibing, he’s nearly impossible to read.
Bonus Round
Brian Kadeem - Kadeem’s a big Jenga guy. It’s so simple, yet so fun. His favorite part is when the tower is getting ridiculous tall and precarious so anytime anyone reachers for a block everyone goes silent and tense, watching to see if they’ll be next person to knock it down. It helps that Kadeem has impressively steady hands too. Like, this dude could have been a doctor if he really wanted to. Twister comes in at a close second. I feel like Kadeem is pretty flexible so the game is more entertaining than it is challenging. He loves being the one to spin the wheel because it gives him time to cackle at his friends getting all twisted up. Seriously, halfway through the game when everyone’s practically stacked on top of each other, Kadeem is usually laughing so hard that he’s on the ground with them.
Banjee Castillo - Banjee is the literal king of Mario Cart. He loves it so much he will unironically put on the Coconut Mall theme song sometimes while he’s driving. He swears it makes him go faster. It definitely doesn’t, but don’t tell him that. Banjee always knows the best cart combos and where all the best short cuts are. He usually finishes WAY ahead of all the other drivers, which always leads to some light hearted banter about how he should be as good as he is in the game on the actual track. Sometimes, he will purposely hang back or false start so that way he can use items to mess with the other players. Red shells are the best but after hours of gameplay, Banjee has gotten deadly accurate with the green shells too. Nobody is safe.

Top 5 is hard I have a lot of pieces that I think deserve a little love, but I will give it a try!
The superhero one I made recently. Superhero!Kurt is one of my all-time favourite AUs and I’m also really happy with their poses and facial expressions and how the colours came out. So that's definitely nr. 1 <3
2. I think maybe the gif of them kissing. I really like how I made it look like them even though I mostly rotoscoped (that was very difficult oml). It also took me sooo long to do so, just for that, it deserves a spot in my top 5 lol.
3. The christmas special holiday chalet. I loved doing this one. I had never made a klaine comic before so that makes it special. Also, extraordinary merry christmas is my favourite glee episode so I was obsessed with this opportunity! And I loved drawing Blaine's silly expressions ^^
4. The Romeo and Juliet painting. I loved doing the study of the actual painting and I’m very proud of the atmosphere and colours in this work. Also, I am a mess for schmoopy romance stuff so <3333
5. okay this is really difficult because there is still a few that I feel like deserve a spot, but I think I’m going with the first proper fanart I posted on tumblr that I was actually proud of. The pose turned out so well and I loved their colour-coordinated outfits. When I look back at it I know it's not perfect, but it has a special place in my heart.

1. how many works do you have an ao3?
I have 37 on AO3 and 80 on FF.net, and most things from my AO3 are on FF excluding like 3 fics. I'm including my FF account because that's where I started posting many many years ago and continued to update until a couple yers ago when I transferred to just posting on AO3. There is a lot of fics on my FF that I haven't crossposted to AO3 yet, and some I probably never will.
2. whats your ao3 word count?
AO3 is 217,634 and FF.net is 287,357
3. what fandoms do you write for?
Nowadays, just Glee, though I do have some WIPs for Stranger Things, Captive Prince, Magnus Archives, and Hatcetfield that I do want to post /someday/. When I started I wrote Supernatural. And over the years I've also written Doctor Who, Takin Over the Asylum, Harry Potter.
4. top 5 fics by kudos
Not So Dapper, Dare, and This Isn't Love all tie for first place with 171. Then there is Chance at 164, I'm Never Letting You Go at 157, Don't You Dare at 150, and Don't Tell Me What You're Thinking at 144.

5. do you respond to comments? why or why not?
I certainly try! I'm always torn between giving hints and secrets and wanting to keep everything close to my chest so the closer someone is to guessing a big plot point or asking a question that I can't answer without spoiling, the less likely I am to respond. Which is why I'm better at responding on one shots, because there's nothing to spoil!
6. what is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Ohhhh, probably Say Your Name While Our Tongues Are Tied. There's probably a Blangst fic from back in the day that has a sadder ending, but they're usually at least hopeful. Say Your Name just feels very helpless, like it's hard to envision a world where anyone walks away from this situation happy, you know?
7. whats the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
A Place To Call Home, probably, even though I haven't posted it yet. The Thoughts I Can't Deny probably would have if I'd actually written an ending for it, lol. Tear Down My Reason is definitely very happy, and I Could Touch the Teardrops on Your Face is probably the sappiest ending.
8. do you get hate on fics?
I know I have in the past but I don't remember for what or why, which means it probably didn't really stick with me. And from what I do remember I think it was largely from people who didn't like the characters or ships I was writing about and would come to bitch about that and I'd be like, if you hate Blaine Anderson so much, why are you reading a Klaine fic? I do kind of remember a Kurtofsky shipper coming to complain about how "abusive" Blaine is and I was just like, sure, Jan, when you ship Kurt with the person who threatened to kill him, you definitely have a leg to stand on.
9. do you write smut? if so, what kind?
I don't as much as I used to and I actually tend to skip over it a lot. I've been much more into the emotional aspect and only really write the sex if I feel like it will add to the heart of what I'm writing.
But oh boy did I used to. And when I did it was pretty much exclusively D/s and kink stuff, and even when it wasn't there would at least be some form of powerplay or marking in an otherwise vanilla scene, just so my kinky brain would have something to latch onto.
10. do you write crossovers? whats the craziest one youve ever written?
Only on occasion? Like I'm currently working on a White Collar/Glee fic and a Magnus Archives/Hatchetfield fic. Aside from that it will be more like just an AU or inspired by a different media. So like, Sebastian Smythe is the flash, but other characters from The Flash don't really appear. Or my Mrs. Winterbourne Seblaine AU. Or the Spies Are Forever inspired Seblaine AU I have currently only managed to write 300 words in.
11. have you ever had a fic stolen?
I have. I remember someone turning the original Icy Love (which I still haven't crossposted to AO3, oops) into a Larry fic. And I know I've seen some of my stuff around any time there's a new website stealing things from AO3 and putting it behind a paywall. But at some point I got to lazy to care.
I did have a scare a litte while ago where I thought someone had stolen one of my fics because someone commented saying they'd read it under the username comewhattklaine before and I was like I have /never/ used that username before. I've used a lot of pennames over the years but never that one and I went absolutely crazy trying to find where someone with that username at stolen my fic. And then I realized that on my old Scarvesandcoffee account, I had used that name, but that website had been dead for so long i'd forgotten about it.
12. have you ever had a fic translated?
I feel like I have but I cant for the life of me remember what.
13. have you ever cowritten a fic before?
Yes! @itallstartedwithharry and I wrote Tear Down My Reason together. It was an absolutely incredible experience and I always wish that she had the time to write together again because we worked so well together. I was really good at word vomiting on the page and she was really good at cleaning it up and making it more coherent and actually sounding nice. Which is part of why I still ask her to beta for me on fics that are really important to me because she tends to just get what I'm trying to say better than I do sometimes. Like she's been absolutely incredible with betaing A Place to Call Home for me and I'm so glad to have her because she just makes me a better writer.
14. fave all time ship?
Okay. This one is complicated. Because Klaine was my otp to end all otps for so many many years. Klaine means the world to me, it was so incredibly important to me as a teenager and to me accepting my own queerness and feeling safe to come out to my mom (because we bonded a lot over shipping Klaine) and I have written hundreds of thousands of words about those two.
But Seblaine. Ohmygod Seblaine. I have reached a point in my life where my brain is more interested in the kind of stories those two can supply me. In this concept of quantum entanglement that will always pull them together but never ever let it be /easy/ for them. There's just some ways in which I think they're better for each other, I think in some ways they bring out the worst in each other, but that in turn allows to them to truly see the best in each other too. I think the tragedy of their story as it happened is beautiful and cruel. And I just want to explore every crevice of their brains and to never let them go. At some point, Klaine became too easy. They'll always get their happy ending (at least in canon). But Seblaine never will. And the art that can be made from a relationship like that intrigues me far more.
15. wip you want to finish but doubt you will?
Probably La Pute. Of all my old WIPs, it's the most likely to be finished (because I do have some pretty extensive notes on how the plot was supposed to go). But at the same time, that kind of fic that I loved to read and write when I was young (dubcon, noncon, slave fics, etc.) just doesn't interest me the way it used to.
If I were to psychoanalyze myself i'd probably say that my love for stories like that was deeply derived from my sexual repression and inner angst (largely driven by vast amounts of untreated mental illness) that I had no real life experience to draw from so I just used these dark dark stories as a way to try and release any of those emotions. But now as an adult I've lived through many traumas and general life shittiness and I can now find a release for my inner turmoil in writing about things more close to life instead of having to reach into that level of darkness.
16. what are your writing strengths?
Oh I don't even know. I think probably dialogue? That's what usually comes the easiest to me so it's what I would assume, but I'm honestly not sure.
17. what are your writing weaknesses?
I tell more than I show. Like I try to describe body language and expression in a way that isn't just "he shifted anxiously" "He looked pissed", stuff like that. But I'm just not great at it, so I tend to just tell the reader what a character is feeling more than anything else.
18. thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in a fic?
I'm always drawn to the idea of doing it, but I don't just want to like copy and paste the lines into google translate, you know? And I don't speak any other languages and most of the friends I have that do speak the languages I would want to translate lines into (namely Tagolog and French) aren't Glee fans, so I don't want to make them translate for me.
19. first fandom you wrote for?
Unpublished? Inuyasha/Naruto/Harry Potter/Bleach/probably some other things. I wrote a very extensive self insert fic when I was like 9 or 10 that involved all of those fandoms but it never even got typed up and I lost the binder I was keeping it in probably nearly two decades ago.
Published though it was definitely Supernatural.
20. fave fic youve written?
A Place To Call Home was such a long endeavor and something that was very important to me to finish and it means a lot to me to have finally finished it.
Maybe We Can Be Okay is probably one of my most well-received fics considering the dark content and complex themes. And I'm still really proud of it.
And then it's not out yet, but my fic for the I Want You Back day of 10 Days of Seblaine has been a very difficult fic to write but I'm really happy with how its turning out and I can't wait to share it with you all in November.

Blaine Anderson Vs. Valentine's Day (4/14)
Summary: Blaine drunk posts on his Instagram asking for a date for Valentine's Day. He gets one.

He can't just leave it like that. Hi. What was he thinking? He quickly taps out a follow up without letting himself doubt it too hard.
Blaine: Bold tactic to assume that poem would get my attention and not just end up being deleted
He immediately throws his phone face down on his bed and paces around the room several times, trying to breathe. He can do this. He can talk to other humans. Even ridiculously gorgeous ones that for some reason seem interested in him.
Barely a minute passes before his phone chimes and he tries to tell himself to be chill and not answer straight away but the anticipation is killing him. He grabs his phone.
Kurt: And yet here you are. Interesting.
God. He actually answered. And he's so cool . It's going to take him less than thirty seconds to realise how lame Blaine is. Blaine doesn't have game. He doesn't usually even realise when people are into him. He's fallen into every relationship he's had so far fully because the other person has spelled it out to him.
This was clearly a mistake. A horny error in judgement. He's half tempted to just delete the app right now and pretend this never happened. The Philippines is nice this time of year.
But then his phone chimes again and Blaine grins stupidly as he reads the message.
Kurt: It was a gamble. I'm happy it paid off.
Blaine: Well. It was helped by the fact that I am very interested in these claims that you can pick me up.
Kurt: Oh no. That was my roommate's suggestion. She's going to be insufferable now.
Blaine: Your secret's safe with me
Kurt: Thanks. But she's also much cooler than me if I'm being honest. I may prove to be a disappointment. Flirting with strangers on the internet is all fun and games until they actually reply 😅
Blaine blinks. He hadn't thought about it that hard, but if he had, he would have assumed that this was going to turn into sexting, getting off, and then mutually agreeing to never speak of it again. Or at least he assumes that's the way this sort of thing goes. He doesn't really know.
But maybe that isn't what this is. Interesting.
Blaine: And do you make a habit of flirting with strangers on the internet?
Kurt: I want to be really smooth and be like 'only the cute ones 😉' but fuck it. No I don't usually. I'm like an honest to God Broadway romantic. I need at least dinner before I can consider getting my dick out.
Kurt: And I realise a simple no would have sufficed
Blaine huffs out a laugh. Okay. Definitely not sexting then. He's kind of relieved. It would have just been a way to let off steam after the emotional bomb that was Sebastian's betrayal. He hasn't really had time to sort out his feelings about Sebastian yet. Sam's solution to the problem was to get him spectacularly drunk and there's been little time for introspection since then. And that's mostly been on purpose.
He knows if he starts to think about it, it will bring every scrap of his hard earned self worth under a magnifying glass. He'll sort through all his insecurities for the reasons why Sebastian might have cheated and probably invent some new ones just for fun. He doesn't want to be terrified to love again. He doesn't want to lose his ability to love quickly and generously and all in. He doesn't want this to break him.
And right now that means chatting to a cute guy that doesn't want to just get off with him. And regardless of anything else, it will be a funny story to tell Tina later.
Blaine: Ah yes that well known Broadway hit, "Dinner for dick." We all know it
Kurt: Say what you like about Barrett Wilbert Weed but she smashed that one
Kurt: Listen you don't have to keep talking to me. I understand my mouth was putting out checks that my ass can't cash. Literally.
Blaine: I want to keep talking to you. A gorgeous guy that's into Broadway and fashion? Maybe that wish journal I kept when I was thirteen really did have magical powers after all
Blaine: Although I'm still not a superhero so perhaps not
Kurt: I never had a wish journal but I did have a hope chest. I cut up magazine pictures to compile my perfect man and it obviously looked outlandish and not like you at all
Kurt: But I am pretty sure I made my perfect man a musician
Blaine: Well thank God I have that going for me at least
Kurt: You have a lot more going for you than that
Blaine: And I thought you said you didn't flirt with strangers on the internet 😉
Kurt: You're right
Blaine gets a jolt in his stomach, terrified that Kurt is about to promise to cut out the flirting or even stop talking to him all together. But then the next message comes through.
Kurt: Maybe we should become not-strangers so I can flirt with you without fear
Blaine bites his lip against a smile, feeling the flush creep all the way to his ears. Who even is this guy?
Hopefully he's going to find out.
Blaine: Sounds perfect

Flashback: Klainetober 2022 fics
Since we are back in October (and I'm feeling all sorts of nostalgic), I just wanted to reblog and share the old Klainetober 2022 fics that myself and my friend @madas-ahatters-world did last year.
We put them all together in a series called Halloween Harvest - Klainetober 2022. There were 31 prompts - and we do plan to get back to them, but here are the ones we did finish.
It was fun writing these. It was challenging to try to take a stab at horror writing, which isn't usually my thing. These fics were created last year when I first started writing fan fic - so its nice to look back on some old work and see how my style has developed in over a year.

9: cinnamon roll or problematic fave? - both, and I mean that genuinely. Un-brainwashed he's a bit more of a cinammon roll, but then there's everything in the Apocalypse arc...

5: first headcanon that pops into my head - he's got a soft spot for kids and genuinely doesn't want to hurt/scare them, it's the adults he gets fed up with
6: favorite line from this character - "You ever notice that people only ever use your name when you're in trouble? 'Get over here, Jed!'" (it's not the most impactful line of his but I think the delivery is really fun)
7: one way in which I relate to this character - on a simpler note... general Southern-ness I guess? But also the themes of being neglected/seen as inherently flawed by a parent (which... may be a repeat trend for me, just look at Warren lmao)
8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character - In the comics, when he gets remade the first time and is first relearning about the Dreaming and what happened. It's a great scene overall, there's just something about the way Dream and Matthew talk to him that feels a little weird to me.

Well if we’re thinking of Rumours v 2009 - as someone said many fans just haven’t made it to season 6 or watched 2009 more than once. It’s an enjoyable episode, the main fascination being Kurt’s story and his glow up, but this tournament has all other ships and stans voting. Is there any britanna in there? Season 2 remains popular. Rumours is popular for Songbird especially plus other extra songs plus the Britanna Artie plot, plus the Sam of it all - the story is cute. Klainers love to laugh at the stupidity of people thinking Kurt is cheating on Blaine.
Nbk v hos - well someone pointed out in comments only good thing about Nbk is Klaine meeting. And theres been a lot of anti Blaine stuff around this week on twitter so that’s changed again. The beiste plot is horrible and puck is an ass, and it’s not really Britanna focussed. hos is a competition episode which people tend to enjoy and you’ve got one of the sancedes mashups in there too.
I think, and I mean no disrespect to you, but we do know ultimately there’s a handful of episodes which will be in the top 4. Pq and Os have been long term fan faves and have won many times over the years, I’m not convinced it’ll change now. I’m interested to see what fills in the spaces 3-28 or whatever.
But I love you doing this. It’s fun. It’s not to be taken too seriously. It’s interesting to hear PoV even if they’re wrong (I jest) . I’m not commenting or reblogging because people can be so rude or shoot people down for having a different opinion.
I don’t want you to stop it. Plus you’ve worked hard on it.

Sorry - I am finally getting around to addressing all of this.
First of all, I just want to say, even if I'll campaign passionately on my own blog, I completely understand that this blog's intention is to service the wider glee fandom, and not one particular corner of it, therefore the opinions are going to be different. That is usually part of the fun of it.
What isn't fun is when there's an obvious bout of cheating going on and all of sudden those numbers get skewed in a really wonky way. And as I said before, I know there's always some form of cheating going on in these things -- especially in polls that reach a huge audience. But this particular blog really only gets out to 200-ish people, so when someone spams it with an 100 extra votes it feels really noticeable.
And, at the moment I discovered it - it felt... idk violating in a way? It's like someone did it intentionally to make some sort of statement?
Most of the polls they did it on, the episode in question was already winning. So, why even bother?
That said - I do agree that we're hurdling towards a pre-determined endgame. I've ran this particular poll maybe four times over the course of the years, and it's always ended the same way. But the real fun is getting there, and seeing where everything else shakes out.
I'm glad you are having fun, and I think overall, most people are, too. As of now, things seem to be normal again, so I'm continuing on with the tournament. But if things seem suspicious again, I may decide to pull the plug then.
As an aside -
I’m not commenting or reblogging because people can be so rude or shoot people down for having a different opinion.
I'm sorry to hear this, and this is a good moment to remind people that everyone is entitled to have their own opinion. No one is dumb or stupid or whatever if they like something else. It's a TV show, and subjective to each person. Someone not liking your favorite isn't going to hurt you, and people should feel safe to state opinions without getting ridiculed. I realize this is the internet, and the anonymity makes that hard. But c'mon. This is so not worth getting into it with people over.

Are they even pretending anymore?
What If was usually the place to explore off-the-wall, weird ideas for Marvel back in the day. You never new what would happen. My favorites were things like “What if Blink hadn’t died?” and “What if Mystique hadn’t abandoned Kurt?” or “What if they had never escaped the Beyonder?”
The stories would vary in how good they were, and it was usually an excuse to kill characters willy-nilly, or deflect criticism from a story by showing HOW MUCH WORSE things could have gotten.
What we’re getting from Disney isn’t What If. It’s the CC show.
There was no continuity between What If episodes. Honestly, there wasn’t a Watcher watching.
A lot of people, self included, has come to the conclusion that all of this was a backdoor to getting Captain Carter introduced and for no other reason. And they are doubling down, trying to make Carter into the Batman of Phase 4. (Ala, the ‘mortal’ who is edgy and cool and the biggest Mary Sue of the moment, the acceptable to white fanboys character because people are terrified of Sam and what he means)
Here’s the thing. Peggy Carter’s time was over. The only reason she’s had any kind of revival is the reaction against 1) Sam, a black man, being made Cap and white people being afraid of having their feelings hurt 2) Bucky had been impossible to extricate from Steve’s story. What If is revising ALL of Steve’s story into Carter’s, and not in a good way.
It’s destroying the premise of What If, along with trying to replace Sam as Captain America and rewrite everything amazing about Steve.
Fuck that show.

Klaine Advent 2022: Chemistry Sucks (16/17)
Summary: Nerd!Kurt/ Popular!Blaine high school AU - Kurt joins Glee club in his junior year to please his dad, though he’d rather just hide out in the library until he can graduate and get out of Lima.
Turns out he’s not the only gay kid in town. Too bad the other out gay kid is cocky and popular senior, Blaine Anderson. Sure of himself, gets all the solos, things served to him on a platter. Kurt finds him shallow and infuriating.
Blaine finds Kurt square and irritating.
Yet at a party one night, they promise to sleep together if they don’t have other opportunities by the end of the year. A dare. Naturally competitive spirits.

Chemistry Sucks (Day 16: Recast and Give)
Blaine first sees Kurt walking down the McKinley hallway, flanked by two new glee club members on either side, apparently enraptured by the tour he's giving them. Blaine's early for meeting him after the homecoming game, which Kurt unsurprisingly chose to skip.
"Speak of the devil," Kurt spots him. "It's none other than our former fearless leader, Blaine Anderson, who has come back to ensure we're off to a strong start this year."
Blaine approaches them. "Hi Kurt," He pauses. Kurt looks even better than he remembers. He's always been put together, scarves and broaches and too tight jeans that are perfect. But he has an air of command about him now, like he knows who he is.
"Hi Blaine." They smile at each other while the new kids on either side just stare silently. "Madison, Mason, this is Blaine. Our key to the big nationals win."
"Oh we know who you are and it's so nice to meet you," Mason shakes Blaine's hand enthusiastically. "We read the showchoir blogs - recasting a straight girl-guy duet with two guys. Your duet was groundbreaking."
"Novel," Madison adds.
"Fresh," Mason finishes.
"Kurt was our secret weapon, actually. You're lucky to have him." Blaine smiles quietly at him and the air feels heavy. At least to him.
"We're sure you guys have lots of catching up to do," Madison says after too long a moment. "So we're just gonna-"
"Yeah, okay," Kurt nods.
And then they're alone in the McKinley hallway. "So do you wanna-"
"Yeah, okay," Blaine agrees.
"I haven't said what yet."
"Whatever you want, wherever you want. I just want to see you."
They end up at the Lima Bean, at their usual round table in the corner, sipping a mocha and a medium drip, like nothing has changed.
"So, tell me," Blaine doesn't even know where to start.
"Tell you what?"
"Oh I don't know. I get a text one day that you're going on a third date and being an understudy and then a phone call a month later about breaking up and I mean, what happened?"
"The usual chorus understudy was sick, and they asked me," Kurt says. He's being coy.
"You were with Matteo." Blaine starts. He wants to be a good friend. A best friend. He's trying.
"I was," Kurt nods and looks down at his mocha and then back up. "And now I'm not." Blaine nods but doesn't say anything. "It was good, I think. I mean, he was not super happy that I ended it but we had a good time. We'd usually go out once or twice a week to a movie or bowling or-"
"Bowling? You?"
"I know. Obviously his idea. Anyways, we'd hang out," Kurt pauses meaningfully. "But the school year is busy and like I said when I called you, I just didn't have the time." Blaine nods, waiting. "Because I wasn't feeling enough." Kurt bites his lip. "I guess I'm still just a silly romantic, and the truth is I already know a better kisser." Blaine almost chokes on his coffee. He has to clear his throat. "Sorry, I shouldn't-"
"No, no. It's fine. Coffee just went down wrong." He takes another sip.
"Your turn," Kurt says quickly. "So how is living la vie boheme?"
"Hardly," Blaine dismisses but knows he has to give more than that. "I do like dancing at all those gay clubs though."
"Of course."
"And I went home with someone exactly twice." He sees Kurt take a gulp of his mocha.
"Same guy?"
"No. Jeff and Parker. Jeff and I just made out. He was kind of boring to be honest. Parker, we did a bit more but I didn't want to call him after. It was fun, but," Blaine knocks Kurt leg under the table deliberately.
"But." Kurt repeats.
"I also knew a better kisser," Blaine doesn't stop himself. Neither did Kurt. The pause is too pregnant and he is still going back to New York in two days.
"Can't all have legendary chemistry," Kurt smiles quietly.
Blaine shakes his head. "Guess not. So tell me about how you became the lead of the Glee club," It's a total non-sequitur but Blaine switches topics deliberately out of the danger zone. Chemistry sucks.
They close the Lima Bean down talking about the glee club, the new kids, the way to win nationals, what Kurt will like in New York, whether he should also apply to NYADA or stick with NYU. When Blaine walks Kurt to his car they hug for what feels to Blaine like five minutes straight. "It was so good to see you, Kurt." He doesn't want to let go.
...
It's almost midnight and Blaine is staring up at his ceiling in his old room in his parents house, unable to sleep. The problem is that he really does not want to see Jeff or Parker or Jeff-types or Parker-types again. There is only one thing he wants. He picks up his phone and texts.
B: I missed you.
It only takes Kurt a minute to respond.
K: I missed you too.
B: I wanted to talk to you today but I was too afraid.
K: Of what?
B: Screwing up our friendship.
K: And now?
B: Do you wanna meet somewhere and hang out while we can? The 24 hour diner near Scandals?
K: No.
B: No?
K: No. I wanna go to your house.
Blaine closes his eyes, relief and excitement washing over him.
B: Okay.

Joe Keery SAWU autograph signings
HOW TO PURCHASE:
general public will be live on December 1st at 1PM EST
you have several options to choose from. you have the “item from SAWU” store” option (which is usually a selection of funko pops and a variety of photos to choose from) or “send-in type item” which you can send an item of your choosing in to be signed and sent back to you.
you also have signing options from pen color to certain customizations, which these also are additional charges. (pen color is usually the standard black, green, blue, silver chrome and gold)
you have the option of getting a signature plus character name, a custom message or a quote up to 8 words (again, each add on is a different price so if you got a character name plus a custom message that would create a new total. EXAMPLE: base price could be 200. a character name add on could be an additional 50 dollars which would make the total 250. if you added the character option plus a custom message that would jump from 250 to possibly 300. I say possibly because each actor on SAWU has different base prices as well as different add on prices so as of this moment of me typing this up we do not know joe’s pricings. either the actors agent sets the prices or discusses it with them I’m really not sure but all I know is david harbour did this previously and the base price was 100 so it’s not too crazy. major actors like robert downy jr. had a base price of I think 300. again this info is totally useless right now because as I’m typing this up we don’t know joes pricings but I’d say no more than 150 for a base price we could get lucky with an 80 dollar base price here’s to manifesting)

each item is a different price- funkos are one price and then different sizing of photos are different prices. (limited quantities for funkos so if you cannot purchase this then those are sold out)
FOR PHOTOS PROVIDED BY SAWU:
first select your photo size
on the side (or scroll down a little if on your phone) there will be links to the photo options. click on the links and each photo will have an ID descriptive name on it. copy and paste the name of the one you want and plug that into the PHOTO ID section.
then select ink color. depending on what image you’ve selected, keep in mind what will show up best. for darker photos silver is usually the way to go- if it’s a lighter photo black or blue or green are all good options.
SEND IN ITEM:
describe what your item is (if you’re sending a vinyl sleeve for example, say that. if it’s a funko, a magazine cover, etc.)
if you’re sending your vinyl sleeve or a funko, please don’t send it with the item! keep your vinyl or funko at home and just send the sleeve or box, this way if by some fiasco it was lost or damaged at least your actual item is safe with you at home.
