Rewatching Chapter 6 of twst and getting emo about Kero and his backstory 😭 He playing the loyal bodyguard only to be rejected by Idia in the most dangerous thing he decides to do, and then failing.
There is so many interesting details he would confirm in this one:
The Tricarenia having roots on magical beasts blood (and being more similar to Grim because of this than regular beastfolks) and being a even more branched family under the Shrouds from the Jupiter Conglomerate.
His parents managing the security department because they programed "Cerberus" and having very bad reputation on the technological field world (As Kero mentions "They create monsters")
Revealing he is not part of STYX as a member, but since his family business is part of it, he is not considered from "the outer world". He also denies he is Idia's retainer and says he stays with Idia because he wants to.
Kero having a complicated family dynamic where all of their members grew stranded from each other but keep trying to act like "nothing happened"
His deceased young sibling sharing the name "Ortho" and being part of the reason why he was so protective of him despite Ortho being an advanced AI.
His mother revealing at the end she is pregnant with triplets!! (Mom of all monsters keep delivering lol)

Started watching Cardcaptor Sakura with my partner tonight. Apparently he watched the dub religiously as a child but can only really recall Kero, Sakura, and Tomoyo.
(And also that he didn't like Xiaolang, aka "the tiny child in green," because he only cared about those three characters and just wanted to see Sakura capture more cards, hahaha. It's... so cute...)
It's interesting though. I wasn't sure if they got all the episodes or not in the UK, but he does seem to recall them airing in the correct order.

"Tsuyu-chan?" Ashido wondered. "What's happening?" Asui turned to Ashido from where she was floating a foot off the ground, coated in a roiling aura of shadow. Her eyes had turned red, and her hair was now no longer green-black, but black-green.
"I'm evil now. Kero." Asui replied completely normally. Her voice echoed upon itself, folding in the voices of Asuis past and present.
"Why?" Ashido asked.
"I was offered some garlic bread from a voice beyond the realms." Asui dismissively waved a hand. "It happens sometimes."
"Hey guys!" Midoriya greeted the room. "Sorry I'm late, someone tied a dog to the train tr-" He froze.
Asui stared back at Midoriya.
Midoriya began to blush furiously.
"What." Asui deadpanned.
"H-Hiiiii, Tsuyu..." Midoriya wheezed. He leaned towards Ashido. "Woooow, is Tsuyu evil now?" He swooned.
"Midoriya-chan." Asui said. "Be for fucking real right now."
"THAT'S WHAT IT TAKES?!" Bakugou screamed. "IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ME!"
"I can't believe this shit." Shinsou huffed. "I spend my whole life trying not to be seen as evil and the minute I want to bag a guy I need to do the EXACT OPPOSITE?!"

Top 10 mascots?
oh the critters! thank you (duo pairs like Posi & Nega I'm counting as a dual unit)
Pigu & Mogu from Fancy Lala
Tumblr media
baby dinosaurs that have done nothing wrong ever. I love their dynamic with Miho, very charming, very cute.
2. Luna from Sailor Moon
Tumblr media
Mascot who needs no introduction, helpful nag, charming character in her own right, shaped like a friend
3. Kero from Cardcaptor Sakura
Tumblr media
Another blueprint mascot, aside from his fun sometimes self-centered attitude, he does genuinely love Sakura and puts her needs first moreso. Also I appreciate that even though his true form is a giant lion he's always down for getting dressed up in poofy bows
4. Posi & Nega from Creamy Mami
Tumblr media
So much sass & tiny cuteness, I also love their dynamic with Yuu a lot
5. Pafu/Puff from Go! Princess Precure
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love this tiny princess dog. I love her so much
6. Rabirin (and the rest) from Healin' Good Precure
Tumblr media
My favorite characters from all of Healin' Good were actually the mascots. Rabirin & Pegitan especially. That rarely ever happens.
7. Ruby from Saint Tail
Tumblr media
Mostly here for nostalgia I admit, but I always thought she was awfully cute. Plus I like that she was used in Saint Tails magic trick during a caper too. Just a normal hedgehog but did so much!
8. The Fairies from Ojamajo Doremi
Tumblr media
I mean just look at them.
9. Chimumu from Waccha Primagi
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love how encouraging she is, plus I love her design a lot!! Both version! Peak hamster girl
10. Mofurun from Mahoutsukai Precure!
Tumblr media
The legend, trans icon, friend to everyone, transformation item and a magical girl - this bear can do it all!
Honorable mention:
Chuchu from Revolutionary Girl Utena
My friend.

hellooooo r you still doing the song thing?? if so then I think “I’d Rather Sleep” by Kero Kero Bonito n Gallagher would go so well togetherr like y’know that one bit “Now I know what’s real, what’s fake” as in like if you’ve finished 2.1 (sorry if I spoil it) but like reader realising that he’s not who he actually is n like… stuff.
u don’t have to do this because I’m terrible at describing things and just talking in general so sorry if this was hard to understand 😭😭
contains both 2.1 n 2.2 spoilers
Nahhhh i had to do this bc the song rlly fits that part when he reveals himself, although it gives me some omori vibes... like not omori but when those anime or rpg games whr the mc opens their eyes from a nightmare. I envision u as the trailblazer to just open their eyes one day upon waking up in penacony's golden hour during one of the days that led up to him 'attacking' Sunday. Ever since the murder of Robin, u've slowly picked up certain things that Gallagher says but seems offputting or out of place, such as how
"Sometimes I have to make sure my pet keeps the right people together."
"Not quite sure what my pet likes to eat... Y/n you have any ideas?"
It's something that slips off his lips under a mutter or even during your convos together. The thing is you find it odd whenever you ask about it, like what type of pet is it, did he get a new dog? A hard to please cat?
He'll just tells you that "Hey, someday you'll find out." and just continues on with whatever he's doing. Leaving the conversation high and dry.
Then it all comes to that day when he visits Sunday, you followed him in stealth, creeping in the shadows of his surroundings and whatnot to get to know what's up with him today. Honestly... curiosity killed the cat.
Good for you, congratulations!
The horror that left your lips as you watch that dark dagger pierce through the body of the Oak Family's leader, watching him fall lifelessly to the ground before bubbles of his lifeform disperse into the air. Hearing the clink coming from the lighter in the bartender's hand, you sprinted, sprinted down the corridor and made turns left and right, bursting through doors one after the other.
Legs stumbling and muscles burning, you dashed forward one last time, passing through those tall statues but he grabs onto your wrist.
Oh it felt so wrong, looking into his eyes felt so wrong now. Whatever you had once imagined, had longed for had yearned for in those brown orbs.
"Y/n."
It's silent now, errily silent. His grip tightens. It's too silent for your liking in this empty hall.
Your name comes out of his lips, now dripping in urgency? Your ragged breath telling him that you're at your limits, you're burning out soon.
"Let me go!" You yank your hand off his tight hold but he just wouldn't let it go. Only for him to pull you into a tight hug as he cradles the back of your head. Gallagher at this point knew that he must tell you what's going on, why is he doing this. Otherwise, leaving you out that door could not only cause him to be on the run, but to also lose that faith and trust you had in him. All he can do now is hush your panicked form, feeling your trembling body within his embrace whilst tears stream down your face in fear.
Is he going to call that thing to kill you?
Perhaps you now know what is real, and what is fake. Or more like
Who is real, and who is fake?

Unless I'm grossly misreading that tweet from Doggy that Norry liked, but are they implying that people like Kero the Wolf become zoophiles if they look at feral art?
If so then I have unfortunate news, because Kero would have still done those horrible things to his dogs even if he wasn't consuming feral art. Feral doesn't turn people into zoophiles because zoos have always had those desires to harm animals and they will keep having those desires regardless if they even see that kind of art.
You're allowed to not like feral art and want nothing to do with it. I'm one of those people who doesn't like it and stays far away from it. But if you honest to god believe that looking at that stuff is going to make you want to abuse animals, at best you're just gullible and at worst you need to look into yourself and get help because there is something wrong with you
It's ridiculous and they know it. If liking feral art was enough to turn someone into a zoophile, we'd have 10 million pantless zoophiles crowd rushing the gates of the local zoo because they looked at weird art of Nala once.
Kero the Wolf and his repulsive buddies did the things they did because they were not only attracted to the idea of real animals, and of hurting real animals.

blood-kin roster (as of now)
hiii hello. i keep forgetting to talk about these guys too much on tumblr. or like... explain them. so this is just a masterlist of the ones that have designs so far, using their heroforge models.
anyway, these are some ocs i've been thinking about a LOT lately. i'm mainly developing them for a future d&d campaign, but i also think. maybe they can have their own wip at some point.
the basic rundown and specific characters under the cut! yeehaw!!
content warnings: lots of talk of murder and violence, talk of cults, and also lots of references to "killing off the weak" and shit like that, b/c that's this murder cult's whole thing.
tagging some folks who i think might be interested: @void-botanist @skitzo-kero @anexor @vacantgodling @astral-runic @invaderskoodge
The Blood-kin are the chosen followers of a murderous god known as Mazzakarr, the god of slaughter. Mazzakarr's followers believe in an extreme sort of Darwinism and that only the strongest, who fight for their lives, deserve to survive. They believe the weak-willed must be slaughtered for the strong to continue on.
Among Mazzakarr's followers, his favorites are the blood-kin, a group of people chosen from a young age to be raised by the cult and molded into his perfect followers, his literal chosen ones and extensions of his will. The blood-kin are not related to each other, but they are connected by the fact that Mazzakarr's blood flows through their veins, and their connection to their god gives them power. They are literal extensions of Mazzakarr's presence, tasked with carrying out his will and molding the world in his image.
Though the blood-kin are Mazzakarr's chosen, of course, they still have to earn his favor. After all, what good is a chosen one that's just given their power? No, they must fight for it.
And so, from a very young age, the blood-kin are taught to hate and fear each other, to see each other as threats to their power and authority. They've been slowly picking each other off over the years, one by one, and now, only twelve of the original fifty remain.
And, someday, there will be only one blood-kin remaining. Mazzakarr's perfect, final prophet, beholden entirely to his will alone.
Tumblr media
Blade Which Strikes Twice (Twice) (they/he/it) - the wielder of the two-bladed scimitar.
Twice, unlike many of their fellow blood-kin, is a changeling from birth. In their preferred form, they strike an unsettling figure, a living corpse standing well over six feet tall. Their wide, pale eyes watch everyone around them unblinkingly, and their tattooed lips hide jagged teeth like a dog's.
For many years, Twice was one of Mazzakarr's favorite among the blood-kin, having earned his attention when they killed one of their caretakers in the cult at just twelve years old. Their prowess in violence has only grown since then, and they gladly follow orders without hesitation. It's all they know, after all. Their purpose is to follow Mazzakarr, nothing more.
Except... in recent years, Twice has begun to do something strange: they've begun to question Mazzakarr and his teachings. Not that they would ever dare to admit this, but they can't help but wonder... is there more to their purpose in this world?
(Such blasphemy will not be tolerated.)
Tumblr media
Axe Which Fells Kings (King) (he/him) - the wielder of the greataxe.
King is one of the more outspoken blood-kin, a self-proclaimed trailblazer who believes that there is more to life than Mazzakarr's little cult. Not that he'd ever turn away from them, of course, but he thinks he's quite above following their orders at every step of the way. The only one he'll obey is Mazzakarr himself; otherwise, he respects no authority but his own.
This insolence has earned him no favors from Mazzakarr's other followers, nor has it served him well with his fellow blood-kin. Still, his boldness has earned him Mazzakarr's approval, and no one's managed to knock that cocky grin off his face yet. Which, naturally, only fuels his ego more. As far as he's concerned, the other blood-kin may as well roll over and let him finish them off, because it's only inevitable that he'll be the last one standing.
Really, they should just give in and stop embarrassing themselves by dragging this out as much as they are.
(As an aside, King's name is merely aspirational--he's never felled any kings, nor any royalty in general. He'll insist he has, though.)
Tumblr media
The Poison-Lined Lash (Lash) (she/her) - the wielder of the razor whip.
Lash is fast, quick on her feet and with her tongue in equal measure, with fangs like a snake hidden just beneath her painted smile. She's a talker, finding great joy in bantering with and taunting her prey as she hunts them. More than that, she loves when they return the favor. After all, what's the fun in killing someone who won't make it interesting for her, one way or another?
She loves the thrill of the chase, almost more than the actual kill. As a result, Lash likes to play with her prey, chasing them down before letting them go just to watch them try to escape her again. The game ends when she gets bored and stops finding enjoyment in her sadistic taunts, at which point she'll finish them off quickly.
As her name implies, Lash is also quite fond of poison, carrying vials of the stuff with her at all times. When she's feeling particularly cruel, sometimes she poisons her prey when she catches them the first time, just to watch them try to limp away while slowly dying from whatever toxin she infected them with.
It's so cute that they think they have a chance.
Tumblr media
The Shot Which Echoes Like Thunder (Echo) (she/they) - the wielder of the double-barreled rifle.
In many ways, Echo is one of the most devoted followers Mazzakarr has, both among the blood-kin and the rest of his worshipers. She has devoted herself entirely to his cause, chasing the high of hearing his voice ringing in her broken skull, the echo of his praise in every blast.
While the other blood-kin will often focus on a single target at a time, Echo is most concerned with causing as much violence and bloodshed as she can, often with devastating explosions. After all, the more deaths she causes, the more unworthy and weak-willed cattle are purged from the world.
She is a fanatic, through and through, and she is delighted to spread the word of the father of slaughter. Echo isn't much of a leader, and she isn't particularly charismatic, but she is deeply devoted and passionate in a way that makes people pay attention to her. One thing she hates, though, is sharing that spotlight--with anyone. The other blood-kin are, at best, annoyances to her, little flies that need to be squished.
Or, perhaps more accurately, shot.
Tumblr media
The Ruby-Red Moon (Moon) (they/it) - the wielder of the ruby sickles.
Moon is a mysterious figure, even among their fellow blood-kin. They're almost never seen without their mask, as they believe wholeheartedly that exposing any flesh is an insult to Mazzakarr. No, they'll be keeping their weak points safe and protected, thank you very much. They look down on the other blood-kin and they're not subtle about it, firmly believing that they are the only one who truly understands his vision.
As their voice is muffled something awful by their mask, Moon speaks through a voice modulator that distorts their voice as much as it makes them easier to understand. They speak with very little inflection or emotion, and they're not particularly expressive in general even without the mask.
Though Moon is just as violent and sadistic as the others, they're much more quiet and lowkey about it. A big, flashy spectacle is not the point, and in fact making a show of each kill is an insult to Mazzakarr. Murder is not about making the biggest spectacle, but about creating a better world for those strong enough to reach for it.

Ooc: *Slides in*
Been researching my ancestors' cosmology and got excited to give this detail. Gonna put most under a read-more because it does have a spoiler for Kerosene's story.
Kerosene's lantern motif, canine appearance, and feathers are based on Xolotl, the Aztec canine God of the dead. My ancestors had beliefs that are similar to the Aztec (like feathered serpents, hero twins, a tree of life connecting all three worlds), and one of the ones that stuck with me the most is canine guardians of the dead. Our protector was the Large White Dog. The dog fell into the water and Underworld, where he created the Ofi' Tohbi' Ihina' (White Dog's Trail), where he guides souls to the afterlife.
Xolotl created the Xolotlizcutli, a dog breed that protected human souls in the afterlife. He is also called the Evening Star, and he guides the sun through the Underworld at night, just as the White Dog did for my ancestors. It's also why Kero has a celestial theme.
I always planned for her to be like a guide for lost souls (spoiler: that's why she fell into Hell). To help them find forgiveness and escape the eternal darkness.

The whole of 1-A stared at their desks, silence ringing throughout the classroom. Some were simply stunned, while others, like Bakugou, were seething.
Midoriya Izuku had died. It had been sudden, and it had been violent. One second, Midoriya was helpiMidoriya interrupted the paragraph by slamming the door open.
"Sorry I'm late!" Midoriya apologized cheerfully. "The trains were stopped 'cause someone tied some lady to the tracks-"
"DEKU!" Uraraka screamed, launching herself from her desk and tackle-hugging the green-haired boy.
"What the FUCK?!" Bakugou screeched.
"You're alive?!" Kirishima shouted.
"Perhaps this is merely a spirit or possibly a ghost-" Tokoyami speculated.
"Midobaaaaaabe!" Kaminari cried as he rushed to hug Midoriya, narrowly avoiding Todoroki's ice spear.
"Guys?" Midoriya asked. "I-"
"Hang on." Shouji interrupted. He thumbed a faint bump on the back of Midoriya's neck. "What is this?"
"They chipped you like a dog?" Kouda wondered.
"Deserved." Bakugou grumbled.
"Oh, that's my personality and memory chip, or PMC." Midoriya explained, as if this wasn't something completely insane.
The class stared at him.
"Memory chip?" Aoyama asked.
"Yeah!" Midoriya explained. "I'm a clone of the real Midoriya with all of his memories and personality! So I'm essentially the same person!"
"HUH?!"
"Did Hatsume-kun do this?!" Iida demanded.
"If she had perfected cloning technology, don't you think you have bigger problems than a clone of Midoriya-chan, kero?" Asui pointed out.
Iida sat down, thoroughly haunted.
"Wait, maybe Twice?" Kirishima wondered.
"Bubaigawara was extrajudicially murdered by Hawks." Uraraka disagreed. "And I haven't broken Himiko out of jail yet, so it can't be her."
"I am going to ignore that you said that." Aizawa grumbled from the desk, where he had pulled out a bottle of rum and begun drinking straight from the bottle.
"Guys." Midoriya said, catching their attention. "It's my cloning machine. I built it back when I was thirteen."
"THIRTEEN?!"
"Yeah." Midoriya shrugged. "See, I got really into trying to figure out Quirks that rapidly generate or transmute biomass, and I hit a wall in my research that I just couldn't satisfy by hacking into medical databases like usual-"
"HUH?!" Everyone screamed. Midoriya ignored them to continue rambling.
"So I figured that if people can do all kinds of crazy stuff with their cells naturally, then why can't I figure out a way to mimic them? Anyways, it turns out it's not so bad once you get into the swing of things." Midoriya explained.
"The swing of-" Ojiro stuttered. "Midoriya, that's a crime. You're a criminal."
"So's Kacchan, but you don't see me complaining." Midoriya pointed out.
"I SAID I WAS SORRY!"
"Wait, this all sounds expensive." Uraraka pointed out. "How did you get the materials?"
"Sold scrap I found while picking up litter." Midoriya casually explained. "The rest came from me using Kacchan's gaming PC to mine bitcoin."
"Is THAT why my shit started running like ass?!" Bakugou realized angrily.
"Don't take it personally." Midoriya assured Bakugou. "I also used all the computers at Aldera."
"I don't care about that." Bakugou shook his head. "What I care about is you COST ME A TOURNAMENT WIN."
"Kacchan, are you still playing Apex-"
"SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT VALORANT-"
