The problem with writing Missing-Link fanfic before the game is out is that half of my actual predictions are wildly different from what I'm writing, but the other half are important plot points, so I have to say things like, "I think Lodur's going to appear and house Brain's heart a la Sora and Ven, and that happens because [redacted]," and I have to sit here for five to ten weeks before I can actually talk about it.

i really hate that canon dsmp poisoned the idea of "fun, tasty angst" for me. I actually enjoy angst when it's done well. I like stories where characters go through shit. I like watching a little character get fucked up. I have not mouth and I must scream is one of my favorite stories ever, and it's widely agreed to be one of The bleakest stories in the english language. but now when someone says angst, the first thing my mind jumps to is a year of begging and pleading and praying that there would be just One Moment Of Peace for the characters I was invested it. and then having all of that repaid for by them. killing everything and killing the entire world of the story.

will never stop feeling disheartened and broken when i hear people complaining about there being no (queer) (romantic&sexual) relationships in media. like the only type of queer ppl are those in relationships. like aro and/or ace people (who don't want relationships) don't exist. like other people who don't want relationships don't exist. like we don't matter. we can't be not cishet and not in a relationship. like that doesn't make us good enough to exist and to have representation in media. it's especially hard when there is a canonically queer character but they are not seen as good enough if they are not in a relationship. the authors of said media are thought of as cowards or homophobic. because queer people who aren't in/don't want relationships apparently aren't valid. it's heartbreaking and very discouraging :(
