Hi, can I have a pokeani characters suggestion please? I was thinking poekani characters and places they would take another person on a date??

Of course! You guys know the drill, feel free to add on. For concision, I'll use the abbreviation SO for signifigant other. I started using ‘you’ but it read kind of like a weird Y/N fanfic and that wasn’t quite the vibe I was looking for lmao. I went up to XY since I’m most familiar up until then!

Ash: doesn't really believe in structured dates. He'd rather just spend time with someone doing whatever! Doesn't matter what.

Gary: bonfire. I think he’d really like a more quiet moment with someone he cares about, with the fire flickering and ambient. Sure, he’s loud and sure of himself but I think he’d value time spent like that. But he probably brought an acoustic guitar. Hope you like wonderwall.

Misty: fishing! She would totally have met someone on tinder with her dudebro-holding-a-fish-esque profile picture. Which, note to self, art idea? Does anyone want to see that? Has it already been done?

Brock: dine and down UM probably the standard nice evening dinner full of terrible pickup lines.

Tracey: one of those diy pottery painting classes! He would wash his date’s brushes for them and empty their paint water :) Mostly because he brought coffee and doesn’t want to mix the coffee cup and paint water cup (again).

May: probably something travel or outdoor-related. Probably taking the afternoon to go biking to a scenic view and then watch the sunset with a picnic (full of really good food, of course. We’re talking thermoses with hot ramen and a basket with bread and cold drinks and stuff, not those nature valley bars. She’d probably find a way to pack a full charcuterie board).

Drew: flowerboy here would probably show up to SO’s door with roses (duh.) and drive them to a botanical garden with a nice cafe or something. For someone who in canon dislikes being percieved as the romantic one who gives roses, he is probably the textbook definition of ‘gives a good date’.

Harley: A date to 7-11 but specifically on July 11th so he and SO can get free slurpies.

Dawn: Probably something seasonal- pumpkin picking, christmas light driving, or something like that. I feel like she likes the aesthetic kinda side of dating, and wants to ORGANIZE and THEME her dates like pinterest boards.

Conway: vintage tech store. He seems like a vintage tech kinda guy, someone who would show SO how record players and phonographs and old game systems work.

Paul: going to the DMV to renew his driver’s liscense or something? He’s Paul, who knows?

Iris: Rock climbing! She thinks that overcoming simething difficult, like the highest rock wall, is a great trust builder and she also just really needs to move around and can't stand the idea of a sitting-down date.

Cilan: wine tasting or something else connoiseur-y. Hope you like wine and cheese and crackers (but who doesn’t, honestly? Cheese and crackers, at least. I don’t drink but communion wine slaps tbh).

Serena: baking cookies! pretty simple and sweet. She and Drew have romance down to a science. The difference is, Serena knows and loves this about herself. She may not be perfect but she KNOWS she hosts a damn good date.

Clemont: Bowling but he really, really sucks at it. Like, pathetically so. It’s endearing, if nothing else. He almost broke his foot with the bowling ball.

The ambient glow of the city below, an intricate lattice of luminescence, seemed to acquiesce to the EXQUISITE radiance of distant stars, imparting an otherworldly grandeur to the clandestine observatory she now occupied. Enveloped in the velvety nocturnal zephyr, the heady aroma of jasmine vines that festooned the rooftop’s edge greeted her senses. The fragile blossoms, silhouetted against the argent luminescence of the moon, appeared to exhale a bewitching bouquet, as though nature was composing a hymn in honor of the night.

The prismatic flicker of distant constellations met her gaze, drawn upward to the cosmic panorama. Each star, a luminary chronicler in the celestial expanse, wove a narrative that unfolded across the cosmic portrait, offering tales whispered through the interstellar eons. Seated amidst a circle of fellow astronomers, each absorbed in the silent communion with the cosmos. As gentle conversations intermingled with distant rhythms of urban life, a mellifluous symphony emerged—a blend that spoke to both Earthly heartbeat and stellar elegance. “I should have found this before.”
