This is a deeper and more detailed version of the 20 questions for AO3 fanfic writers. @nottawriter hit me with a tag, I have been attacked lol.

1) How do you keep getting ideas for your ship / fandom? A dash of shower thoughts, with a pinch of I watched a movie and couldn't help but think... Yes, that will work. They often feel like the come from nowhere.

2) Which authors inspire you in your fandom, and why are they so freakishly good? That's not fair how dare you ask me this!!!! Uhhh I'm mostly reading Supercorp stuff these days sooo... @jazzfordshire, @mycatismyeditor, @fazedlight, @innamorament0, @scribblingpunk, @fyonahmacnally to name a few. AAAAND my co-author and a vast array of things @tomatopudding! Why? Idk, I just get drawn a lot to these works and think they're lovely, and I love their depictions of these characters I love.... with @tomatopudding we just vibe very well, sharing the same five brain cells helps.

3) Aside from the characters of your main ship, who are the characters you love to write? If we're talking Supergirl... That's so hard, but I might have to say Brainy and Nia if really pressed... and Alex. I really enjoy Alex.

Otherwise, my other faves include all of the Les Amis from Les Miserables (if you know you know), specifically Courfeyrac and Marius and their hilarious dynamic. Other faves include Eliza Schuyler-Hamilton, Eponine Thenardier and... This could go on for a very long time, are you sure you have time?

4) Are there pairings or tropes you know for sure you’d never write about? Which ones? Not putting Kara and Lena together just makes me sad... So Supercorp ftw all the way, they are my top (I am a lot more amenable in other fandoms I've written for)

Tropes... I'm unlikely to do Omega-verse, I haven't done it and I can't see myself starting even if I sometimes read it.

5) What is your writing process and why is it cursed?

When I worked in retail I wrote on stupid little scraps and probably lost about 75% of them. Sometimes the method is hand writing, and then typing and making edits during that process as well. The handwritten can vary drastically from the typed draft lol.

I tend to fly by the seat of my pants unless someone is keeping me in line. I'm pretty darn chaotic.

I doubt myself a lot, so I always think whatever I write is garbage no matter how much proof there is that's not true. Also, sometimes I get burnt out, or my muse dies and then I feel terrible. Yay.

6) What is your favorite part of your writing process? Falling down rabbit holes, looking into fun topics. Likely ending up on a government watch list for the stuff I've searched up over the years

7) What’s the weirdest thing you’ve had to research for a fic? Uhhh.... hmm. I have no idea what the weirdest is lol. Cause it's on my mind, probably looking up what types of wood are easiest to chop, and why. (There is definitely weirder, but I don't remember right now).

8) Is there a particular writing rule you struggle with (grammar, spelling, tense, reality in general)? Commas. They hate me, and I hate them.

9) What was your hardest scene to write so far and why? Oof. Uhhh... This is so hard! Honestly there is a lot of stuff in my co-written very long series Hamilton Family Album that was *a lot* between research and feels.

Especially when you're co-author hits you with unexpected feels out of nowhere that you weren't anticipating (YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DID).

10) Have your characters ever done something you didn’t expect, changing your plot completely? Of course, they have. It happens all the time.

11) If you could converse with any of the characters, who would it be and why? Ohhh... Hands down Kara and Lena, I wish they could be my friends and we could hang out. Why? I think that they are absolutely incredible, wonderful and I could just sing their praises for ever.

12) What are some of the tropes or themes that you find yourself returning to in your writing? Oooo, I'm a sucker for fluffy romances, and I've been dabbling in smut recently. Other themes for me can be like found family is a really popular one for me.

Since I've written both a lot of Les Mis and Hamilton stuff (among other similar things) I've done a lot of "Modern AU's" as well, which are uhhh varied to say the least. If I can treat anything they way the treat most Shakespeare pieces these days I do it.

13) What’s your most important resource as a writer? Asking for help! Soundboarding with other writers, I love doing it. It helps me make sense of my ideas... Or decide they're maybe too out there (almost never lol)

14) Can you share some of your strategies for editing and revising your work? Reading it out loud, I have a hard time noticing errors otherwise. Asking someone you trust to look it over as well, take your time and double and triple check if you're unsure about something.

15) Which is worse: making the summary, picking the tags, or the anxiety when you post your fic? D. All of the Above

16) How do you define success for your fanfic - hits? Kudos? Comments? Bookmarks? Or just if you like it? I try to just write for myself, usually because I haven't seen something like it and think it should exist. I do really enjoy getting comments if only because I'm always curious to hear what readers think about my work.

17) Do you have a playlist for your favorite character / ship? I don't, and if I did it would be odd... I'm the most massive theater nerd. I do have songs that I think fit the vibes, and some shows I listen to have more apt things than others. Or if it's Les Mis it's the whole dang album lol.

18) If fan art was going to be made from your work, which fic would you pick and which fan artist would you like to create it? Oh dear... I don't know. The thing I'd love to see art for isn't up yet and I just think it would be fun but it will be called What Was I Made For... And we're gonna leave at that for now.

19) How many WIPs do you currently have? I'm finishing up You've Got New Followers (One chapter left!), I think three other WIP's (two more plotted than others) and my WIP for May-Hem... So five?

20) What’s your advice to new fanfic writers? Don't be afraid just because you've never done it before. That's why fanfic is amazing. You can do what you want and in reality no one can stop you, just make sure you're having fun.

I do wonder what would constitute "unbearable levels" of awkward tension between them. It would be kind of interesting to see it boil over entirely and turn into something of a fight between them, because to be fair Lena wouldn't be unjustified in snapping and just pointedly asking Nia what the hell her problem is.

Alternatively, she just genuinely can't take it anymore and brings it to either Kara or Brainy in private because "oh my god what did I do to make her hate me". Involving Kara would arguably make it worse, because she wouldn't understand and Nia would feel just as embarrassed explaining to her, but Brainy would clock what's happening the second he's made aware of the tension and I genuinely don't think Nia would be able to keep it from him if directly asked.

Brainy would probably feel awful knowing she's this insecure about him staying with her, due at least partially to the fact that he left her before with no warning or explanation. There would have to be a series of conversations about that. Maybe Kelly would help them out and help Nia figure out how to apologize and explain to Lena.

And it is kind of heartwarming to imagine Nia and Lena going from this super uncomfortable dynamic to Nia feeling affectionate enough toward Lena to head-bump her.

Omg yes to Kelly becoming an impromptu couple's counsellor to help Brainia figure things out! It's especially heart breaking that while Nia may feel like the instinct itself is unwarranted and that she doesn't have any real cause to feel jealous, you're right, that insecurity has every reason to manifest when the last time Brainy ended things with her, it was with no warning or explanation. No secrets is a promise she has to see in action before she can convince herself to believe it.

But because of that, she also knows she has to be honest about how she's been feeling, and that promise has to extend to the rest of her friends as well, especially Lena.

I love the idea of them properly working towards a stronger friendship. Nia and Lena was a dynamic I'd wanted to see more of in the show for ages and I was pleasantly surprised that I got my wish with the scenes we were given in season 6, but there's just so much potential for their little dynamic. I like to think that once they talk things out and once Lena gets used to it, Nia gently head-bumps her all the time.

A reflection about Supergirl and Supercorp

I take advantage of the second anniversary of the 100th episode of Supergirl to reflect about Supercorp and the show in general.

⚠️It will be a long and boring thing that surely many will not share⚠️

Premise: I love the world of Superman, but I started seeing Supergirl when she was at her third season.

I didn't have a lot of expectations about this series and I started seeing it precisely because I was intrigued by Supercorp (yes, I had heard more about supercorp than Supergirl and this should give you an idea of ​​extent of the phenomenon behind it).

The idea of ​​a Super and a Luthor together was absolutely intriguing, but I thought it was one of the many ships with a lot of chemistry, but no really romantic interactions (I'm also a fan of Swan Queen and Sterek, but I admit that there isn't so much material to work on to say "Yes, they are a couple").

So I came to the Season 2 premiere quite skeptical.

At the end of that episode I was like "What did I just watch?! It's true! They're actually flirting!".

Well... Why did the writers chose nothing rather than making history?

The idea that, personally, I have made is that all the problems of this ship were born already in the second season. In that season, we have three events that affect the continuity of the show: the arrival of Mon-El as the protagonist's first true love interest, the coming out of Alex as lesbian and the entry of Lena on the scene. Here, I believe that the latter was intended by the writers in a completely different sense from how it was then received by the fans and, perhaps, if the interest of the fandom in the character had not emerged, she would have come out in that same season, becoming the Maxwell Lord of the second season or, at least, not becoming a regular. Things turned out differently and not only did the fans literally fall in love with Katie McGrath and her character, but they saw more chemistry between her and the protagonist than there was between the latter and the character of Mon-El.

Nonetheless, the starting of Karamel in Season 2 and its fixing in Season 3 erased any chance of making Lena a possible love interest for Kara.

Similarly, I believe that Alex's coming out (which was widely applauded, but which personally always left me quite indifferent) was another nail on the coffin of a possible supercorp ... Because, even if in theory there is no limit to the number of queer characters that you can have in a series, making each pair of a single show an lgbt pair (and it would have been so considering that the other pairs, at the end of the series, are Alex/Kelly and Brainy/Nia) would have it could have meant, for the cw, taking the longest step ... A step that, apparently, he decided not to take.

As for the rest of the show and the characters, I think we can all agree that the writers proved to be totally unable to handle the characters they had in their hands. This is especially true of romantic relationships within the series and in the case of Kara and Lena it was only more evident.

MY OPINION ON THE MAIN SHIPS ON SUPERGIRL :

BRAINIA

To be honest, Nia/Brainy (together with J'onn and M'gann who are secondary) are the only couple that I have appreciated appreciated because they are the only ones who do not seem coupled at random and whose relationship has actually been the object of construction from the beginning.

SANVERS

Alex/Maggie was not bad, but I really didn't like how they handled it in a hasty and superficial way (you ask someone to marry you and then you leave her because you didn't ask her first if she wanted children?!).

DANSEN

As for Alex/Kelly, I like them as individual characters, but their relationship doesn't have, at least initially, a solid foundation and seems to be the classic "Oh, we have a lesbian, let's put her with the first lesbian who passes!".

KARAMEL

Kara/Mon-El could also have some potential, but if the idea was to take a negative character and make him a good guy who finds redemption through love for the protagonist, this was not really successful because they didn't introduce Mon-El as "bad", but rather like the goofy country cousin that Kara has to nurse. I certainly do not support those who see, in their story, the representation of a toxic relationship (and even if it were I would not be the most suitable person to support this position, since my canon OTP is the Spuffy which is the most unhealthy relationship ever shown in a TV show ...), but surely what they wanted to do with Mon-El they managed to do with Lena Luthor.

And then...

LENA FUCKING LUTHOR

(No, I will NOT talk about Lames. She's never stood behind a man, do you remember?)

Her character distances herself from all the others because she proves, from the beginning, to be capable of killing in cold blood (Corben) and truly faces a path towards darkness and then a path of redemption that has always, as its central point, her relationship with the protagonist.

What I'm saying is that I didn't want they make the Kara/Lena pair canonical because I wanted another lgbt couple on Supergirl, but because this is, objectively, the best constructed and dissected relationship on the show and the fact (or whatever the strong feeling) that it has not been made canonical ONLY because it's a lesbian couple leaves me particularly disappointed.

P.S.: GIVE US THE SUPERCORP SEQUEL!!!

This is going to be me just screaming my feelings for this week's episode because there are many things to say.

First the bad stuff(so we can end on a good note)

•William being so easily accepted in the Tower with everyone is ANNOYING. He had too much screentime as always and kept either interrupting or following Supergirl and Lena everywhere. His good advice to Lena is the only thing that's ok about him being around.

•Also where was Brainy?

•Props department not even getting bothered to create smashed bullets that have hit Supergirl... this is tirering. Can't they just re use stuff from previous seasons?

Moving to the Good stuff!(going crescendo)

•Bitchy bossy Andrea telling William she's moving his desk near the toilet!

•Also her outfits in this episode

•Nia was absolutely great! She helped Lena with her magic, was collateral damage to said magic, the "Lena broke my brain" line was absolutely amazing!!! And her fighting during the final battle was just amazing!!! We love Dreamer with screentime in this house!!!

•The Dansen content helllo!!! Alex bragging about her skills at game night! Dansen catching up while kicking ass in their superhero suits!!! Saving the little girl TOGETHER AS THE BADASS COUPLE THEY ARE and at the end taking her with them!!! Dansen HAS A BABY (or almost) and Esme is perfect!!!

•Lena with this green blouse

•Lena using latin for her spells. I expected it, I just didn't expect how much music it would be to my ears...

And now the Supercorp Stuff

I loved the Supercorp scenes ( because they were being VERY domestic in all of them).

•At the beginning, during game night, Lena seemed to be in HER HOUSE!! HOSTING!!!

•Also Lena knows Kara will be there soon...Was Lena supposed to be there already waiting for Kara to come back home and Kara kept only her updated as to how soon she'd get home?!!!

•Are Kara and Lena actually spending all their evening TOGETHER?! As WIVES?!

•Kara saying "I believe in you!" to Lena

•Lena learning magic just for Kara

• Kara and Lena having a HEALTHY argument

•Nia taking William away when Supercorp was fighting was really her letting them have a talk as a couple!

•Lena's smile when Kara protects her at the botanical garden. This smile is at best fangirly and at "worst" horny for her wife. Also I love how she quickly schools herself like "right need to get back to being a witch..."

• And finally the "couch scene" in the Tower at the end. Domesticorp at their best!!! They casually greeted each other(like wives do), had a nice talk AND had podstickers together!!!! Which we're calling potstickers again and not dumplings thank you very much!!!

• I was already very happy about this scene before @lenaralanvers pointed out to me the "finger comment"

Skip to 1:37 for the whole "couch scene" or at 2:15 for what will live rent free in my brain forever!

Lena : "I'm not going to use my fingers!"

Kara: "Well I am". Kara proceed to put the potsticker in her mouth.

Lena: " That's classy!"

Kara "You know me!"

Andrea uses the v.r to see Russell. Memories of him that are like old videos to say goodbye to him. After Kara and Lenas (breakup) I mean fight she looks at a photo of her to see her (not only a memory but a form of video/ you get my idea). Not to mention Kara found a photo Andrea had of her and Russell in her office in 5x05. They also transitioned from the scene of Andrea morning over Rusell. To Lena and Kara mourning over each other. While the same song played in the background for both scenes. Andreas monologue follows Supercorps story/ dialogue. Kara’s says she can save Lena and Alex isn’t sure but she assures her “yes I do!” While Andrea wasn’t able to save Russell Kara was with Lena (5x08).

Kara gives Alex advice and directly parallels her own relationship to Lena with Alex’s relationship to her girlfriend Kelly. The same song plays over both scenes. Earlier in the episode Alex told Kara “Lena wants your relationship back on track too” referring to their lunch date. The scene ends with Alex saying “I hope so for the both of us”. In relation to things working out, which they do.

I really can’t remember much from 5x14. It’s basically about a woman trying to take Obsidian down. To get justice for what happened to her husband Todd. Amy’s husband was killed by V.R tech. She did this to save everyone from the same faith her husband suffered. Kara goes to calm her down by giving her a hope speech. She tells her she understands how she feels. She knows what happened and reassures she feels the same but you can’t change the past. When the entire episode prior was about her going into the past to try and save her relationship with Lena. She literally compares her relationship with Lena to Amy and her husbands. Kara and Amy’s stories follow similar patterns. Trying to stop the V.R tech and get justice for the person they love/lost (Lena/ Todd). I noticed this when I first watched but knowing how the season ends. With Kara and Lenas matching dialogue/ speeches in 5x19 says a lot. Kara even contemplate using the v.r after her fight with Lena.

In 5x19 Mgann asks Nia about Brainy. She says it wasn’t just a relationship they were partners who protected each other. She just wasn’t able to protect him from himself/ working with Lex. Um sound familiar. In s2 Kara vowed to always protect Lena. “I will always protect you”. They are referred to as partners in not only the Au. After crisis Alex told Kara that she and Lena were partners on this world. In 5x03 Alex says “Lena wants your relationship back on track”. Not friendship but relationship. When talking to Amy Kara says she understands. Amy wanted people to engage with loved ones. Kara separates friends from partners. This was during her and Lenas falling out. This was also the same speech where she mentions Lena (regarding the aus). In 4x12 Kara uses the term partner as romantic when talking about what she wants for Alex. “Alex, she wants a partner”.

Kara gave Lena an ultimatum. Either work with her (them) or Lex. Nia gave Brainy the same one. Nias dialogue matches up with a lot of how Kara felt this season towards Lena. About trust, which is similar to how she felt in s3. They both swore to protect each other but with being on opposite sides outs a rift on that.

There were other parallels from other seasons. For ex: Brainy filling Nias office with bento boxes. Lena filling Kara’s office with flowers. I wanted to focus on what mainly happened during s5. This doesn’t even show all the times Kara mentioned Lena while discussing the topic of romance/dating. Also again Supercorp endgame! (Freely comment below any additions you want).

Some thoughts on the Supergirl finale:

-Alex I get that you’re ready to let the whole world burn to save your daughter, but your daughter is in the world. Why not spend a couple of minutes coming up with a plan?

-sure, I can buy that the US government has a special satellite that can harness the power of the sun. Go off. But that whole “the sun will take six months to recharge.” “But we need the sun for crop growth!” Conversation is one of the funniest things I’ve seen on TV all year.

-ok, so Kara spent 3:55 charging from the sun, a process that takes 4:00. But because she stopped it with seconds to spare before the end, she somehow didn’t absorb all the things that she already seemed to absorb, as implied by the brain CGI, and the sun no longer needs six months to recharge? None of that made sense and was a very weird bit of filler. Also why did she need to recharge with the sun over the middle of downtown? And why did it make the cars crash?

- ahh yes. I see we’ve decided that Kara doesn’t inspire hope and only solves things with her fists, disempowering people by helping them. How very “government handouts are bad” and “we didn’t watch season 1” of them.

-why did Lex and Nixly turn into Voldemort?

-so Brainy needs to go to the future to join with the big brain. Since the future is in the future, why can’t he live a long life with Nia now and then time travel to the right future moment to join with the big brain after 50 years?

-“Monel died on the way back to his home planet”. I love that he was included and that they shut down all possibility of Karamel. Actually good.

-nothing about the resolution of Lex and Nixly made sense, nor was it enjoyable. The whole thing felt like they made a list of phrases and themes they wanted to touch on, but didn’t think about how to cohesively include them so they made sense. I can understand wanting to pack a finale full of everything meaningful, but that needed a couple more rounds of edits.

-the wedding was beautiful and I love them

-if they couldn’t do Supercorp, then that was a good way to leave them

-why the fuck would a journalist who loves being in the field and investigating stories want to be an editor in chief? She’ll write an op ed during election season and times of great national crisis and nothing else.

-Cat’s first scene was awful. The other two were on brand.

- overall, the episode reminded my why the show needed to end, with the occasional glimpse of why I loved it.

-if Kara couldn’t end up with Lena (and have the requisite multi-episode arc to make it authentic) I’m glad she ended up being comfortable with herself and didn’t get stapled to some random dude. That was great.

-Lena can’t be in a relationship until she learns to not put her shoes on the furniture.

-why do all the lesbians get married outside now? I say this as a lesbian who got married outside, but it’s one hell of a trend this year.

I'm in a ranting mood now so I'm gonna give my 2 cents on Supercorp.

Season 2:

In season 2 Kara and Lena were actually written pretty well. They were friends, they hugged, snuggled on the couch had food together, went to gala's together, defended the other behind their back and that kind of thing. And of course all the times Supergirl saved Lena. We'd be here forever if I mentioned everything lol. There was definitely some flirting happening. They were written as friends but there was absolutely something there the writers could have explored.

Season 3:

A little odd in terms of Kara and Lena. It's like the CW said 'I see you Supercorp shippers and I raise you a season of them barely interacting alone.' They fought and made up again at work, Kara tried to convince drunk Lena that she's good, they were sweet at the Christmas party with everyone, just all of 3x12, and then there was the hugs in 3x18 and 3x21. We had some Supergirl saves but Lena's relationship with Supergirl ended up on the rocks. They were written very much 'no homo' this season compared to season 2. There wasn't really any super obvious flirting, there were romantic parallels with the risking of identity though. Overall we didn't really get to see much of them existing together. Plus Lena started dating James. Alex and Lena got some really good development though so that's a plus.

Season 4:

They definitely interacted much more than in season 3. They were happy to see each other at the beginning, 4x02 was a goldmine of hugging, Lena protecting Kara, Kara protecting Lena, the works. Lena made the power rangers suit while she was still mad at Supergirl, she broke up with James, she was worried about Kara at the hospital, they had an argument in 4x19 and made up (after Kara longingly stared at a picture of Lena on her phone), Lena cried on Kara as Kara waxed poetic about how wonderful Lena is, just the entirety of 4x20. Plus Lena and Supergirl's relationship was mended. Season 4b had a lot of romantic undertones imo. The classic red/blue colour scheme, Kara staring at the picture, the sheer concern they both had for each other, how hurt Lena was that she hadn't seen Kara for a while after not seeing her for weeks on end just the season before, and where do I start with 4x20!? The looks they gave each other on the plane, how worried Lena was for Kara when the plane was crashing, all the physical contact, Kara's tape recorder stopped Lena from being stabbed, the concern and hugging again at the end, how defensive Lena got over wanting to apologize and the almost reveal. They obviously love each other, platonic or otherwise. Kara gives much more platonic love vibes at this point. Although the raw panic and concern and "Thank god you're okay"s from Lena this episode made me think that she loves Kara a little more than platonically. I'd always shipped Supercorp for fun but 4x20 made me wonder if they were really going to go down that road. This is me > 🤡 Because then we had the reveal.

Season *gags* Season 5

You watched it, we've all seen it. I'm terribly sorry to bring it up again. Season 5 I understood why people called them queerbait. Up until then I'd been like "yes to us these two are super gay but this can all (mostly) pass as platonic, I understand wanting them together but I don't think it's queerbait." And you don't have to come for me, because season 5 came for my JUGULAR. What the hell. Kara telling Lena she's Supergirl was heartbreaking, Kara has very rarely been that upset, don't even talk to me about the Romeo and Juliet ass shot 5 seconds beforehand. Then at the beginning when everything is 'fine' Kara seems unable to stop comparing herself and Lena to Alex and Kelly. You know? The canon lesbian relationship!? "For a friend like you there are no boundaries" Kara flying around the world to get Lena's favourite food...In the show that said "Maybe giving food is Brainy's language of love." 💀 "You Mean the World to Me" Playing over Kara and Lena scenes and Alex and Kelly scenes. Lena, even though she's mad, knowing that Kara will always save her. Lena's speech in the fortress deserves a post of it's own holy shit. She shot Lex for Kara, Kara made her trust people again, she loves Kara so much and I personally think that part of her anger stems from loving Kara in a more than friendly way and she's mad at herself for allowing that to happen and being so hurt and heartbroken after she finds out Kara's Supergirl. (watching this scene again hurts me just so y'all know) Kara is SO upset. Then we have 5x08 when Lena is panicking when the kryptonite cannons won't go off. "SHUT IT DOWN NOW!" Then there's 'Head Above Water' playing over Andrea and Russell. And then Kara and Lena staring at the same picture of them together. Come on. The whole 100th episode was about their relationship. She followed Kara out of the room Lex was celebrating in to give her a book on grief. Then Lex screams in her face and when she turns up at Kara's door after leaving him, her speech is so heartbreaking. She clearly misses Kara...a lot. Then she looks so SAD when she sees Kara and Alex hugging. She misses Kara's hugs 😭 Then "You can scream at me if you like I know I deserve it." - I hope we unpack that at some point. And she is so so upset when Kara doesn't accept her apology initially. (Although I have to say I find it interesting how much she brings up Kaznia, 5x07 and 5x19. You know how I feel about ep 4x20) Then she lays her life on the line for Kara. And when they FINALLY make up Lena's relief is actually palpable. Even if the writers don't follow through with this, they way they've written season 5 is undeniably romantic. I still get platonic...ish vibes from Kara, but definitely not from Lena.

Season 6:

Episode 2? I don't know her. But omg 6x01. Kara trusting Lena with Myriad "No matter what's happened I know what's in your heart." Kara talking about self sacrifice and Lena "I won't let you turn this into a suicide mission, I can't!" And why not Lena hmm? (This is very canon couple dialogue). Also they are SO VERY CATRADORA ARE YOU KIDDING ME. Kara the self-sacrificing hero (Adora) and Lena, the one who refuses to just accept the hero's sacrifice (Catra). Please even the whole evil or not evil, terrible family, traumatic childhood and hair colour are the same 😂. Anyways then we have "You're the only one in the galaxy I know would do right by it." I don't even know how that could be spun platonically. Kara really just said she trusts Lena more than her own sister. You two just made up 5 minutes ago. Kara opens up about her trauma to Lena!! Lena codes 'Lena Luthor Protocol' in about 2 minutes maybe? Because she needs Kara to stay alive. And to round it all out, she tells Alex to tell Kelly about Kara, because Kelly is Alex's person. Implying to us humble clowns that Kara is Lena's person.

The fact that I've written more about 6x01 than the entire season of flirting and flowers speaks volumes to me personally.

In conclusion, Supercorp is Catradora with a pair of glasses and it's hair tied up. I will go down with this ship and good night.

According to some sources ( and by that I mean, a couple of Reddit posts and my own lack of creativity) it seems the Stone everyone keeps taking turns in using, is the ultimate weapon to obtain absolute power .

Nia might have dreamed of it , figured what it does and told the Superfriends who else was after it.

The place doesn’t look like the place where the big showdown will take place so I guess this is where the stone has been hidden for eons.

Now as for what the stone does..

Judging the way Alex is closing her eyes while holding the stone , its powers might have something to do with conjuring whatever one pictures in one’s mind and bring it to reality .

Anyhow, I think there is a catch about the stone because as I said before, we already have the hand of the soldier which does the SAME thing but with weapons.

Plus Nia is also able to conjure the images from her mind into reality. A bit redundant and unless Alex Hand of the Soldier , Nia and the #MeltiefestingStone are all related somehow, I don’t see the purpose of giving everyone the same type of power. 🤔

And then, there is the matter of the little girl. If the stone is related in anyway to her, then I’m pretty she is the one leading Kelly and Alex to it.

The battle ensues and everyone realizes the stone responds/ can be summoned ( this is why you see everyone stretching their arms as if they were “calling” the stone)

Most likely Lex will take the stone and have his own nuclear version of the “hand of the soldier”.

and of course the stone will be ultimately destroyed because no one should have that kind of power and blah blah blah , good people do what’s right .

Fair warning: it's a long post. Let's examine some of the reasons that Kara has cited why she didn't tell Lena the super secret:

1. She wanted to protect her

Now, this one has some legs on it as Kara specifically mentions it in S3 during a conversation with James and Mon-El. And there's definitely some truth to it. But it's also bullshit. Lena was in constant danger and put herself at risk to save/protect Kara who didn't actually need it. In fact, the first time Lena's mentioned (not shown just mentioned) it's in regards to the venture explosion - something that happened because Lex was trying to kill her. People have been trying to kill, kidnap, manipulate, threaten Lena since minute one. Knowing Kara = SG would not have severely worsened any of that. In fact, it might've helped ease Lena's anxieties and resulted in her taking less risks with her life. In fact, I'm surprised Lena didn't think that Kara's association with her was putting Kara at risk (a far more likely thing).

The 100th episode addresses this to some degree in one of the AUs. Lena tells Kara that she wouldn't have had to risk her life dealing with Sam/Reign alone if she'd known the truth and she's absolutely right. And sure, Lena could've told SG and the DEO when she pieced Reign = Sam together but ask yourself, why would she? What assurance did she have that the DEO would not have treated her BEST FRIEND like a hostile instead of someone in need of help? The DEO is guilty of this and they have a history of locking up aliens indefinitely and on occassion straight up murder. After Reign nearly killed their biggest asset (i.e. SG) why in the hell would Lena trust them with helping Sam? She wouldn't nor should she have. She didn't know that she could go to SG because remember, Lena doesn't think of her the same way she does of Kara. SG is not her best friend. She doesn't have a personal, humanized relationship with her (at least not that she knows of). And obviously she's not going to tell Kara the human reporter with the DEO agent sister about it either. And the kryptonite? SG lost her shit over it even though she's been working with the DEO who stockpiled the stuff until SM left with it (a dumbass move that would've bit them so hard in the ass with the WK situation if it weren't for Lena's kryptonite!). Plus, Kara didn't have an issue with Oliver having a kryptonite arrow, J'onn having a sword. But Lena? How dare she!

So yea no. I get that "I kept my secret to protect you" is a popular thing in the hero world but in the case of Kara and Lena, it doesn't make sense and it did make situations unnecessarily harder.

2. She didn't trust Lena

This is mentioned by Kara to William in a deleted scene from S5 but I think it's worth exploring. I'm not sure to what extent Kara means with this but it could be referring to the moments as SG where she did display a distrust of Lena's intentions and she used Lena's personal relationships against her (i.e. asking James to break into Lena's lab). I mentioned the S3 shitshow with the kryptonite which is where a lot of this started but there's also other scenes in that same season where SG pretty much calls into question the so-called trust she has in Lena despite claiming otherwise. The switch was so abrupt the minute she learned Lena not only had but knew how to make kryptonite. Did anyone ever consider why Lena would bother learning how to make kryptonite? I'd hazard a guess that it was something she was looking into even before Sam/Reign. I think she happened to find Lex's stock and she decided to learn how it works and why it affects the Supers like it does. That would explain how Lena seems to be the ONLY ONE able to make an anti-kryptonite suit and other viable forms of the rock (i.e. Harun el). But no, SG and others immediately jump to the worst conclusions and associate the endeavour with Lena's last name, something SG KNOWS Lena is sensitive about it. And then the harun el. SG was suddenly fine with Lena making it when it was to split Sam from Reign and save Argo from extinction. But when it was used for something else that Lena didn't clue her in on (and what do you know, Alex, Brainy and James didn't either and they KNEW what Lena was doing with it) she got back on her high horse and the distrust became front and centre. You can't trust Lena as Kara and then immediately distrust her as SG and expect her to be accepting of this dichotomy. I'm surprised the woman managed to retain her sanity.

And still, this reasoning doesn't quite hit the mark in comparison to every other insistence of Kara believing in Lena (from day one she even told Clark that she believed Lena after meeting her for the first time). But the contrasting opinions and actions must have given Lena pause. I don't blame her to call into question which version of the truth was real and choosing to believe the worst. It's what SG and the SFs have been doing to her.

3. She was wary of Lena

This isn't an explicitly given reason but I do think it's how the secret keeping started in S2. Frankly, I don't even blame Kara for not showing her full deck in the beginning because she (and even us as an audience) didn't know much about Lena beyond wanting to do good and not be like her family. So no, Kara not telling Lena in the beginning actually makes sense to me (though she told Nia in a split second but that's neither here nor there). For me, I started to seriously take Lena at her word after the Medusa episode. That would've been the perfect opportunity for her to show the true "xenophobic" colours some parts of the fandom accuse her of having and she didn't do it. I don't think she even got so much as a thank you for it. People praise SM for getting Lex arrested but ultimately it was Lena's testimony that got him thrown behind bars. Same thing with Lillian! And yes, the daxamite invasion was facilitated by Lena unwittingly working with Rhea but she fixed it with the lead dispersal bomb, a device she allowed SG the privilege of using or not. So Kara and the SFs being cautious about Lena really should've evaporated halfway through S2 (and it did for Kara at least). In fact, the daxamite invasion may not have happened if Lena knew exactly who Rhea was and her relation to Mon-El because they would've warned Lena about it. Lena did want Kara's advice on Rhea and she would've waited for it if she knew what was going on (i.e. Alex being held hostage) and hell, might've been able to fix it in typical Lena ex machina fashion.

4. She didn't want to lose her

This is probably as close to the truth as we've gotten and it's actually part of her confession in 5x01 (something her outburst in 5x19 tries to undo). But the thing is, Kara KNEW this was a possibility and yet, continued walking towards the deadly cliff with her eyes wide open. The probability of losing Lena got higher and higher as time went on and it was always inevitable. There was always this spotlight placed on Kara telling Lena or Lena finding out on her own but there was always a HUGE chance that Lillian would've told her. Or Lex, which is exactly what happened. And Kara knew that they knew and yet she did nothing about it. The minute kara found out Lillian knew she should've taken action, what guarantee did she have that Lillian wouldn't have gotten bored of waiting for Lena to piece it together? How can they just leave Lillian with dangerous knowledge like that is beyond me. When Alex in particular has made such a big deal about people knowing, didn't want Kara telling Lena, only allowed Kara to tell Lucy to save J'onn and yet, letting Lillian amble about with this info is okay??? Nothing was stopping her from telling Lena or it slipping during one their chess games and definitely nothing stopping Lex from dropping that bomb.

The 100th episode AUs showed us that each time it was Kara telling the truth, no matter how hurt and upset Lena rightfully was, she was ultimately fine with it. And Kara ends up losing her to death, not because Lena walked away. How this wasn't the takeaway message for Kara after that adventure, idk. It was Kara's hesitatancy in telling Lena that allowed Lex to weaponize this secret and twist it into something it never was. And yes, Kara doesn't owe a damn soul her secret and has rarely ever been given the chance to tell anyone on her own terms (James - told by SM, Alex, J'onn, Brainy, Mon-El, the Legion - always knew, Lex & Lillian, Lord & Cat - found out somehow). She only ever got to tell Winn, Lucy and Nia and I'm sorry but none of those people have ever proven themselves trustworthy at the time of the reveal the way Lena has.

So while Kara is every right to keep her secrets, she was wrong to insert herself in Lena's life if she never had any intention of telling her and let's be honest, it really didn't seem like Kara had any timeline on that front.

5. She was selfish

Similar to the above and also mentioned during the confession but this is even deeper. Lena was something of an outlet for Kara, a way to feel completely normal, something she hasn't been able to experience with anyone, even Mon-El. Can you imagine being a cub reporter who knows powerful CEO Lena Luthor and having said CEO choose to spend time with you? Choose to let you interview her when she's wary of the press (remember her interactions with Clark in 2x01 and her family history)? Choose to treat your problems as important and valid and human? I don't blame Kara at all for being selfish with Lena, for wanting to keep Lena all to herself like that. But to not share the other aspects of herself was seriously wrong too and resulted in this imbalance in their relationship. To Lena, it looks like she was giving all of herself when Kara was not. It looks like she put all her trust and vulnerabilities out there when Kara didn't. It looks like Kara was using her (which let's be real, she kinda did a few times in S2 with the fight club and bs article to get info on Lillian and then ofc the CatCo-Edge problem she visited Lena for after ignoring her and proceeding to continue the rejection after Lena said she'd look into it).

You think post-reveal Lena didn't think back to all those moments and have those kinda thoughts? Even called into question what might've been the real reason James dated her and Kara was so insistent on befriending her? Were there perhaps times were she figured it out and can't remember and what's why she chose not to see it? Why do we think she still showed up game night in 4x22 instead of confronting Kara? Because these thoughts amongst others must've been swarming her mind and the only way to keep the upper hand is to continue playing dumb. So yes, Kara made the conscious decision to be selfish with Lena because of the unexpected connection they forged and I get it totally. But Lena has never been selfish and she's always made hard efforts to be a damn good friend (and she was idc what others might think on that) and open herself up to Kara despite how difficult and frankly foreign that is for her.

So are Kara's reasons valid? To a point, I would say yes but their validity waned over the seasons to the point where the secret keeping didn't even make sense anymore.

So was Lena's anger valid? Yes! 100% it was and honestly, I'm surprised she managed to keep it together for so long. I couldn't. But her anger doesn't justify her actions (mind control, manipulating Kara, threatening Russell, holding J'onn's bro captive, putting Hope inside Eve) and how she went out of her way to hurt Kara back. However, I get why she did it though it's worth pointing out that this is the only instances of a betrayal in her life where Lena has gone this far. Bitch straight up spiralled where previously she would cut ties and move the fuck on with life. But with Kara, that doesn't even seem to manifest itself to Lena as an option. Will the show ever address the obvious WHY for this and for Kara being so so terrified of losing Lena (like honestly I have never seen Kara look more distressed).

Maybe, maybe not but regardless I'm not buying this platonic friends nonsense because no one is that devastated over a friendship. Many of us (myself included) have experienced falling outs with very close friends and breakups. Which one do you think the Kara/Lena rift in S5 felt like? It was full on heartbreak, loving someone in complete torment and not being able to stop despite wanting to because even though it's painful, the alternative is infinitely worse.

MB and KM's acting choices aside, these idiot showrunners have brought us to this point with their own narrative and the only logical next step is to make them canon.

What do we know about Supergirl S6?

Well, we know the following.

First BHS came from David & he had Chyler and Jesse with him.

Chyler was dressed in a jacket & pants and the Martian weapon on her wrist in a second photo David posted.

The main thing that stood out was the background. It suggests they’re at The Tower, & possibly with a medical monitor (I highlight it in red) in the background. If not medical, I’d say environmental or maybe Space monitor. Either way, it is an intriguing bit of background imo.

Otherwise, bar one lot of BHS from Staz, have only shown everyone is their Superhero suits (inc Alex). Kelly has been in the leather jacket she wore with the Guardian Shield for the Myx (100th) episode, with M’gann suited up alongside her.

Kelly has also been spotted in pants & a jacket - a far cry from the tight skirts & dresses from S5, & much closer to S4. We know Kelly has been on set a lot when everyone else is, plus filming at times with Chyler - so dare we hope that Kelly is actually going to be included properly this season? And that she is much more proactive, including using the Shield, like she did in Crisis & the 100th. We can certainly hope that is the case. After all, it is what pretty much all Kelly Olsen fans (myself included) have asked for since the end of S4, let alone as we watched the shitstorm aka S5 play out.

We know from Jesse there is going to be a bit of a Legion vibe going on, and that certainly tracks with the BHS photos.

We know that 6.01, 6.02, 6.03, 6.04, 6.05 & 6.06 were all wrapped before the Christmas hiatus. We also know that Chyler directed Ep 6, (which she mentioned herself when talking about it in one of her Create Change lives early on).

We know in 6.06, it involves not only the young Danvers sisters, but we definitely have Nia and Brainy playing a pretty significant role. Not only did we get them posting on an outside location set , we also know from someone who went down to where they were filming on the sports field & Nicole & Jesse were both seen on set (screen cap included in amongst the rest of them here).

We also know from a known member BTS on the SG set on Reddit posted in reply to a couple of questions that cleared up Katie’s involvement & Melissa being away from set. So we can say Melissa will be filming in scenes to add into what has already been done by the rest of the cast. We can also say Katie has been filming. So please everyone just take a breath.

Now onto sets in general.

We have had glimpses that tease Space craft, weaponry in the form of a galactic laser rifle.

We have a possibly tie in to the casting video side that came up on Vimo in regards a Prison set vibe, with the concrete corridors, but with grating shadow from lighting above (see Nicole’s tiktok), & separately, Jen Clarke (Melissa’s stunt double) standing alongside a circular plinth of some kind, with grating around it.

Then we have the futuristic look that David was standing in for his directorial episode after the hiatus.

We had a possible slate on Vimeo that suggested a witch villain?

So, I’m hoping that - we have this season set up much more like S1 & S2, with tight sets, outer space/magic/more than one Villain, or like Reign, a central villain, but not necessarily through the entire season.

As for Rosemary (the slate on Vimeo) I can’t help but wonder if this is going to be a version of Amparon Cardenas, aka La Dama, especially as in the DC universe she is from Earth Prime and has known magic powers.

Another aspect of the canon DC character is that she kills off half the future Justice League, but this is where I think it could tie in with Chyler’s directors episode 6.06 - she brainwashes a group of teenagers, who in another reality would have become the legion of Superhero’s. She effectively makes them her slaves.

Is that why Nia and Brainy have to travel back to Midvale? Are the young Danvers sisters brainwashed? Do they need to go around fixing the past to save the future?

Well, that would certainly not be something Chyler has ever done before, & would probably I imagine be a pretty hard 1st ep to direct, so again tracks with what she has said.

If Rosemary blames Kara etc for Earth Prime changing, & so she changes with it (eg loss of powers) it would certainly give good grounds for a story of revenge.

Honestly, as long as we have Kelly, Alex, Nia, Kara, & Lena all actually playing their roles properly, & not just performative like S5 was, and Dansen, Brainia and yes, Supercorp to actually happen - it will be a step up. Not that it would be hard to step up when you’ve hit flat rock bottom, scraping of the barrel the previous season.

brainia wedding headcanons? 😎

I wrote a few of my thoughts on a Brainia wedding on this ask a while back, but to summarise I do envision a Brainia wedding happening in Parthas closest with Nia's family and the people she grew up with. I also just love that thought of Brainy being wholly accepted into Nia's family, especially as he's so distant with his own. (Nia's dad might not always totally understand what Brainy's talking about, but that's okay 😂) Also, Brainy would definitely propose with a Legion ring he makes for Nia. 😉

Winn would obviously come back for the wedding, I think he'd be Brainy's choice for Best Man. I also imagine J'onn acting as a father figure stand-in for Brainy, helping him with wedding prep, offering Trademark Space Dad Advice and most importantly, keeping him calm when he gets too deep inside his own head and starts to worry that something might go wrong.

Maeve and Nia's relationship isn't like it was before, but she'd still be a bridesmaid. I imagine Kara as the best choice for the Maid of Honour role, especially as Nia's mentor and close friend, but there'd probably be some tension there where Maeve keeps popping in with 'pointers' for what Kara should be doing that she insists Nia would prefer. I mean, hey, there's always some tensions when it comes to wedding prep and divvying up responsibilities. 😂

At some point after the wedding ceremony, Lena and Brainy would end up talking at a table, things would get emotional and they would both end up crying.

Nia would wear something of her mother's as a part of her wedding outfit. Maybe Maeve helps her pick something out together at the family house.

During their first dance, Brainy would literally sweep Nia off her feet. They both have Legion rings at this point, there would be no reason their first dance shouldn't be while flying.

It was a crime they didn't use that scene with Brainy playing the piano during Alex and Kelly's wedding, but I would like to rectify that by stating another Brainia Wedding Headcanon would be that, yes, there is a piano at their wedding ceremony and yes, Brainy serenades Nia with it.

Finally, I'm saying it: space. honeymoon. They've got the Legion ship, they've gotta get some mileage on that thing!

This Part: Has the surgery been a success?

Man, sorry for the delay. Life has been hectic here and thankfully my Dad is okay. Despite having a mini heart attack and not being happy about the new meal plan and exercise he is doing 😅 I'm already 2k in on part 36... so hopefully won't be too long

Lena holds her breath, along with everyone else in the room, as they watch Emma open her mouth.

‘Please work, please work, please work, please work, please, please, please.’ Lena wishes over and over, trying not to squeeze Emma’s hand too tight with her nerves.

But nothing happens.

Only the sound of her breath emits from Emma’s throat.

At this realisation, Lena’s stomach drops. She immediately schools her expression and tries to keep the devastation off her face as pained hazel green eyes snap to hers.

“Okay.” Doctor Sloan’s voice is calm despite the growing tension in the room. He pours some water into a cup and holds it out for Emma to take. “Have some water and try again.”

Lena observes the slight shake in Emma’s hand as she reaches out and takes the cup, lifting it to her lips. Wincing as the cool liquid slides down her swollen throat.

Taking another deep breath Emma slowly opens her mouth again and tries to make any sound.

Nothing comes out.

Doctor Sloan begins talking, his voice is soft and reassuring but all Lena can hear is the blood pumping around her ears and she lowers her head.

‘This is your fault.’ Her mind whispers cruelly to her. ‘If you hadn’t left her that day, if you had been there this wouldn’t have happened, if you had been enough-’

A scrape of a chair makes Lena’s head snap back up. Seeing Eliza jump up quickly and hold a clearly distraught Emma in her arms.

“It’s okay. I’ve got you.” Eliza whispers into Emma’s ear as her daughter nuzzles her face into the crook of her Mom’s neck. Her mouth opens in silent sobs, her breath coming out in pained gasps.

Lena peers behind her, Alex, Kara, Lucy and Sam have disappeared from the room. Nia has her head in her hands and Lena can see tears falling to the floor, Brainy and Winn are already looking over their tablets, conversing on the next steps they could do to help. J’onn sadly meets her eyes and goes to sit in the chair Eliza just vacated.

“I don’t care!” Alex’s enraged voice yells from the open door leading into the corridor, making Lena let go of Emma’s hand and stride out of the room towards the other voices of her friends. Promptly closing the door as she steps through it, not wanting it to further stress Emma.

She pauses at the scene in front of her. Alex’s face red with fury, the doctor against the wall with Alex’s arm pressed against his neck. Sam and Kara have their hands on her shoulders to stop her, while Lucy just watches with her arms crossed tightly against her chest and Doctor Hamilton stares at the scene with her mouth open like a goldfish.

“Look, I know you’re upset, I get that.” Doctor Sloan says calmly, trying to soothe the furious redhead. “We knew this surgery might not succeed but others still might, possibly, work. This is a foundation for us to work on, to use different therapies, injections in her neck. There are other options we can use.”

“Alex.” Kara pleads softly, tears brimming her eyes.

“It didn’t work.” Alex gasps out as she shakes with adrenaline.

“Not this time.” The Doctor says with genuine sorrow in his eyes. “But I promise you, I am going to do everything in my power so that one day your sister can talk.”

“And sing.” Lucy narrows her eyes at him.

Doctor Sloan pauses and takes a deep intake of breath. “Hopefully.”

“Hopefully?!” Alex barks, her rage reigniting.

“Babe, that’s enough.” Sam pulls her girlfriend off the Doctor and holds her in an embrace.

“It didn’t work. It didn’t work.” Alex’s muffled voice can be heard weeping out.

Tears prick Lena’s eyes and she clenches her jaw. Slowly she builds up an expressionless mask to hide the devastation she is feeling. A wall to keep her pain in.

She watches as Doctor Sloan turns to leave with Doctor Hamilton and Lena strides after them. Stepping into the CEO, scientist role and out of her girlfriend status.

“Doctor Sloan.” She calls after him, passing her desolate friends on the way.

“Ms Luthor.” He nods at her apprehensively.

“I would like to discuss with you the equipment you used.” Lena motions for him to lead the way to Doctor Hamilton's office to continue their discussion.

Lucy watches her leave with the Doctors and debates about whether she should follow or not.

Deciding against it she turns back to Sam, Alex and Kara. The blonde superhero was now hugging Alex as the two sisters tried to console each other.

Sam and Lucy’s eyes meet and Lucy nods before turning back to go into the room. They will get through this. They have too.

Two Days After The Surgery

Emma is lying on her side in her bed. The room is in partial darkness with the windows being slightly tinted. Not allowing the sunlight to enter all day and distorting the colour of the sunset that she is ignoring.

Her throat feels tight and itchy from the surgery and all Emma really wants to do is sleep to escape the memories of the past few days. To escape to dreams filled with beaches, quiet places and safety.

Not the memories of seeing the devastation written on everyone’s faces. The absolute agony that exploded within her at the realisation that the surgery hadn’t worked.

The way her Mom was the only one who comforted her right away. That Lena had let go of her hand and disappeared, along with her sisters. When all Emma needed and wanted in that moment was to be in her arms. To have Lena’s soothing voice reassure her things will be okay. For her sisters to be sitting on the bed with her and comforting her.

She hears a light knock on the bedroom door but doesn’t move, just keeps staring ahead.

“Love?” Lena’s voice softly calls into the dark room after she pushes open the door. Emma hears the soft patter of Lena’s footsteps on the carpet until Emma feels the bed dips behind her. “Hey.” Lena coos out and wraps an arm around Emma’s waist. “Are you okay?”

‘No.’ Emma thinks but instead she reaches for her girlfriend’s hand and squeezes it three times.

“I love you too, but you didn’t answer my question.”

Emma doesn’t respond, just stares straight ahead at nothing. Her eyes fill, for what feels the millionth time, with tears.

“Em.” Lena’s voice cracks and Emma feels Lena roll her onto her other side. Darkness surrounds Emma as Lena holds her close but Emma doesn’t move.

“Lee?” Kara’s voice quietly calls from the bedroom door and Emma hears two sets of footprints pad over to the bed. “Hi little one.” Kara says softly but Emma keeps her head nuzzled in Lena’s chest.

“Has she been in bed all day?” Alex’s voice queries Lena.

“I- yes, I think so. I did try to get her up earlier but she just lays here.”

Emma hears Alex sigh heavily and feels Alex get on the bed behind her. “Hey peanut.” A hand touches Emma’s shoulder and she unintentionally flinches under her sister’s hand. “Sorry.” Alex’s hand falters for a moment but gently lowers until it's fully resting on her shoulder again. Emma slowly breathes out and forces the tears to not fall.

“Everyone’s here for a Superfriends night. We will do whatever you want.” Kara's voice sounds airy and light but frustration bubbles within Emma. All she wants to do is lay in bed and sleep and not have to perform. To pretend she is okay.

Emma lets out a heavy breath through her nose, to try and release the bubbling frustration she is feeling.

“You don’t have to love. You can stay in here and rest. No one is expecting anything from you.” Lena says softly in Emma’s ear and kisses the top of her head.

Emma nods but stretches against Lena. Signalling she is about to get up.

Seeing this Alex moves off the bed and Emma rolls over and tries to sit up. The room spins, making her flop back into Lena.

The raven haired beauty chuckles, thinking it's due to Emma’s stiff body that she’s fallen back.

“I’ll help you up.” Alex reaches down and takes a hold of Emma’s hands. “On the count of three. One, two, threeee!”

Emma lets Alex help sit her up, also feeling Lena placing her hands on her back in case she falls again. When Alex moves away Emma carefully moves her legs off the bed, squinting her eyes as Lena turns the lights on.

“You are cleared to eat soft foods, so Nia and Brainy made us macaroni and cheese.” Kara says while heading into the walk-in wardrobe to grab Emma some fresh clothes. “I mean, it was Brainy’s idea which was really sweet.” Kara places the clothes by Emma and gives her a small smile.

Emma curves her lips up in response and nods. Wincing at the movement and runs a tired hand through her hair.

“We’ll see you out there.” Alex grabs a hold of Kara’s hand and they leave the room.

“Do you need help changing?” Lena asks beside her, having shuffled across the bed to sit next to her girlfriend.

Emma shakes her head and removes her t-shirt, exposing her naked chest. Making Lena groan.

“I can’t believe we have to wait over a month for me to ravish you.” Lena moans softly and kisses Emma’s cheek. “Good job we fucked in the bath huh?” Lena kisses Emma’s lips and the blonde kisses back. Smirking as Lena runs a hand gently over her chest.

The couple had been prepared that they couldn’t have sex for a while after the surgery. But when Doctor Sloan admitted the time frame to being a month and a half, Lena wanted to punch the Doctor.

Emma turns and raises an eyebrow at her. “I can still please you.”

“I know love. But I want to please you as well.” Lena slowly leans in and tenderly kisses Emma’s lips. “Plus, we do have to be careful.”

Emma lets out a heavy breath as she sighs and nods. Grabbing her clothes she quickly changes into loose jeans and a navy t-shirt with a sloth surfing a wave, while Lena waits on the bed.

“How do you make a simple outfit look so sexy?” Lena smirks at Emma, her eyes bright and glistening.

Emma gives her a small smile in response, which causes Lena’s to drop slightly.

“Hey, come here.” Lena opens her arms and Emma momentarily hesitates before falling into them. “I know this is less than ideal but we will get through this.”

Emma snuggles her head into Lena’s neck and breathes deeply. Allowing the feelings of safety and love to replace the anxiety she was feeling.

“Hey love birds!” Lucy shouts from the living area. “If you don’t come now all the food is gonna be consumed by two and a half cranky Kryptonians!”

“Hey!” Ruby squawks from the other room as Kara and Sam join in.

“Excuse me?!”

“I’m not cranky!!”

“Point proven babe.” Alex laughs and the sound of a light slap follows. “Ow! Hey Emma, help me!”

Pulling away from Lena, Emma quickly gets up and rushes into the living area. Alex is rubbing her arm and rolling her bottom lip forward as Sam shakes her head and chuckles.

“Emma!” Ruby yells and rushes over to the blonde.

“Ruby! Care-”

The teenager collides heavily with Emma, making her dispel a lot of air as she wraps her arms around her.

“-ful.” Sam finishes and rolls her eyes at her daughter. “Seriously that kid.”

Emma hugs Ruby back and smiles at them. When the teen breaks away Emma quickly moves to Alex’s side and wraps her arms protectively around her sister.

“She slapped me.” Alex whines and snuggles closer into Emma.

“Aww baby! I barely touched you.” Sam rubs Alex’s shoulder and sweetly kisses her cheek. Emma kisses Alex’s other cheek and shoots Sam a dirty look, making the brunette laugh. “I promise I won’t hurt her Em.”

Emma quickly nods and Alex nuzzles her nose into the side of Emma’s face.

“So food now?” Kara smiles brightly and lifts the lid on the simmering pan. “Rao, this smells so good!”

“Ooo yummy!” Ruby agrees as she takes in a big sniff of the delicious food.

“Thank you Kara, Ruby.” Brainy nods his head and picks up the spoon to dish the macaroni out.

“Yay!” Kara super speeds into a seat at the extended dining table with Ruby following right behind her. J’onn and Kara have flown in another fold up table and chairs so everyone could sit around a table together and eat.

Emma lets out a heavy snort through her nose as she watches her sister and the teenager.

“May they never change.” Alex laughs and moves to get everyone's drinks.

“Emma! Come sit next to me!” Ruby pats the vacant chair next to her. Emma grins slightly and goes to run over to them. Suddenly the room shifts and morphs around her.

‘Fuck no!’ Emma’s eyes go wide and she tries to avoid crashing into the table. Instead she trips on a chair leg, sending it flying and causing herself to slide across the floor, hitting her head on the back of the sofa.

“EMMA?!” A chorus of voices cry out her name and many rush over to her.

‘Ow.’ Emma moans, quickly sitting up with a cheerful smile on her face to show she was okay. But a blush colours her cheeks, showing her embarrassment.

“Stay down!” Alex orders furiously, her worry giving away to anger and Emma freezes as her sister kneels in front of her. “I need to check your wound.” She snaps and reaches out to pull the plaster away.

“Alex, wait!” Lena shouts urgently while kneeling next to her. She gently takes Emma’s hand and helps her sit fully up against the back of the sofa. “Deep breaths for me okay?”

Catching on to what Lena is trying to do, Alex’s face softens. “I’ll be gentle.”

Emma nods and focuses her eyes on Lena’s as Alex slowly pulls the band-aid off.

“Wow, this is actually healing really well.” Alex mutters and gently presses certain parts of Emma’s neck for any tears in the stiches, causing Emma to tighten her grip on Lena’s hand. Trying to keep herself grounded in the present.

“So, I was thinking-” Lena begins talking, seeing how Emma’s eyes were starting to glaze over and wanting to stop Emma’s nosedive into an episode. “Maybe we should take that trip soon?” Relief fills her as Emma’s eyes are able to focus on her and her eyes start to brighten with interest. “Go somewhere like the Maldives to unwind, swim in the sea, snorkel and you know-” Lena coughs lightly and lowers her voice towards Emma’s ear. “Other things.”

A quick puff of air escapes Emma’s lips as she voicelessly snorts.

“What like food?” Kara pipes up as she watches them from the table, having frozen in shock at Emma’s fall.

“Yes Kara, especially the food.” Alex says sarcastically and rolls her eyes at Emma, causing the blonde to grin. “Can someone get me a wi-”

“Here you go babe.” Sam appears in a blur and hands Alex a cleansing wipe and a new neck plaster.

“Thanks.”

“Is she going to be okay?” Ruby asks nervously to her Mom.

“Yes Rubes she is.” Sam hugs her daughter reassuringly and ushers her back to her seat.

Alex does the task quickly and soon everyone is sitting around the table eating the meal Brainy and Nia had made while listening to Winn’s story about successfully stopping a bank robbery with James.

“And then the idiots decide to run while-”

“I swooped in and pummeled the sons of bitches and-”

“James! Children present!” Sam barks.

“Moooom!” Ruby whines but motions for James to continue.

Emma’s eyes quickly move to Winn and watch him deflate back into his chair as James takes over the story. As if sensing her gaze Winn looks up at her and Emma lifts her mouth into a smile. The corner of his mouth lifts up and he nods before shoving more food in his mouth.

“Sweetheart?” Eliza quietly catches her attention from across the table. “You need to eat some more.”

Emma glances down at her bowl of food and realises she’s barely touched it. Lowering her fork Emma scoops up a few pieces of macaroni and slowly chews it. The pain almost makes her wince but Emma doesn’t want to seem ungrateful for the kind gesture Nia and Brainy did for her.

Her Mom nods and smiles at her before turning back to J’onn to continue their conversation.

Emma continues picking at her food and listens to the different exchanges happening around the table. Her stomach pinches as she wants to join in the conversations but knows the rhythm of communications will severely slow down while she signs and someone speaks her words out for her.

Instead Emma keeps her head down and continues eating, imagining different melodies and lyrics for songs. Her fingers softly moving against the surface of the table as if she is playing ivory keys.

If anyone notices Emma’s subdued mood, they leave her be. Putting it down to fatigue from the surgery and emotional exhaustion from the aftermath.

Lena does slip her left hand under the table and rests it on Emma’s right thigh, making the blonde jump but Lena soothingly rubs her thumb back and forth, settling Emma  quickly.

“-you think Emma?” Winn’s voice asks, bringing her out of her little music bubble.

“Winn was asking whether we should all go to the carnival next week?” Lena says helpfully having seen Emma snap out of her daze.

But before Emma can even process James pipes up.

“It may have to be the week after, there’s the convention at the arena.”

“Also gives us time to hire it out for a few hours.” Alex nods in thought. “Be nice not to have to wear face modifiers.”

“I’ll see what I can do.” Lena nods and smiles.

“That sounds like fun!” Nia claps her hands and beams at the group.

“And talking of next week, as everyone is here, Alex’s moving date is a week tomorrow. If anyone wants to help?” Sam says with a bright smile, causing Emma to smile back and nod.

“Really? That soon?” James enquires, his eyes narrowing slightly.

“Yes, I’m practically spending all my time at Sam and Ruby’s apartment, so it makes sense.” Alex glares right back at her friend.

“And you don’t think you are moving too quickly since-” James jumps as a foot kicks his shin, he turns his head and glares at Winn.

“No, I don’t. Since it was your sister who left me.” Alex responds coolly.

James lifts his glass in surrender. “True. And someone has to keep the typical u-haul lesbians trend alive. Cheers.” He smirks and downs his drink, Alex lifts her beer and salutes him before taking a sip.

The night continues without any more hitches as the superfriends clear the table and a group game of monopoly starts. Emma typically pairs with Lena as her partner and mainly rests her head on Lena’s shoulder as the game progresses.

“What do you think love?” Lena asks, trying to keep Emma involved in the game. “Shall we swap our browns for the green James and Winn are offering?”

Emma nods, seeing it would be a good swap as they already had the two other properties and would create a set.

It was indeed a good move as more and more players land on their properties and Lena gleefully takes their money.

“Thank you kindly!” She smiles brightly as Sam thrusts all of Alex’s and her money, bankrupting them and winning Lena and Emma the game.

“Well done Aunty Lee.” Ruby yawns and copies Emma by resting her head on her Mom’s shoulder.

Lena smiles at the teen and the game is packed away. The group starts saying their goodbyes, all giving Emma reassuring hugs and consoling words.

Soon only Alex, Kara, Lena and Emma are in the apartment. The sisters hover by the balcony door while Lena finishes packing up the dishwasher, having already said her farewells. Kara seemingly held onto her longer than usual as they hugged.

“So, shall we have a sister night here on Friday?” Kara nervously asks as she fiddles with her glasses.

Emma slowly blinks while leaning against the window, feeling her eyes growing heavy, but she nods and smiles sleepily at the thought of a sister's night.

“Yea, sounds good.” Alex agrees and goes to give Emma a hug. “Goodnight peanut.” Emma wraps her arms around her sister and squeezes.

“Goodnight little one.” Kara comes behind Emma and Emma moves her arm back to try and hug her other sister as well.

Emma takes a deep breath, soaking in her warm feelings of love she is getting but immediately a silent yawn escapes her mouth.

“Sounds like someone needs to go to bed!” Alex laughs, Emma leans her head back against Kara’s shoulder and nods. Allowing her eyes to close while her sister’s hold her up.

“Okie dokie.” She hears Kara say and her  smile widens at the phrase until suddenly she is lifted into Kara’s arms.

If she could have used her voice, Emma would have squealed in surprise. Instead a heavy, quick dispel of breath leaves her mouth.

“Sorry little one!” Kara exclaims after hearing Emma’s heartbeat increase in speed and she carries her baby sister into her bedroom. She smiles sadly as Emma wraps her arms around her shoulders and holds on. Alex glances over at Lena who is watching with sadness in her eyes.

“How are you doing Lena?” Alex asks, making Lena’s somber eyes snap to warm brown ones.

“Me?” The raven haired beauty asks, taken aback by Alex’s question.

“Anyone else in this room?” Alex quips and leans on the island.

“Well, I’m fine.”

“Fucked up. Insecure. Neurotic. Emotional.” Alex lists off the familiar phrase and raises her eyebrows at Lena.

Making Lena chuckle. “Sounds about right.”

“But seriously, you know where I am if you ever need me. Kay?”

Lena’s face softens and she swallows deeply. “Thank you. And the same goes for you.”

Alex nods and Kara reappears in the living area.

“Shall we go?” Kara asks and heads towards the balcony, Alex turns to follow her.

“Oh and Alex?” Lena moves around the island to stand in front of the redhead. Making Kara whirl around by the intentive tone of her best friend’s voice.

‘This should be good.’ Kara smirks and watches.

“Yes Lena?” Alex asks and watches as Lena transforms into the powerful CEO and sizes the redhead up.

“As Sam is my oldest and dearest friend, I feel it is my duty to warn you that if you ever hurt her in any way, I will hunt you down and use other methods more painful then you can possibly imagine to hurt you back. Your little finger trick? Has nothing on what I can do.”

Seeing how serious Lena was Alex nods, schooling her expression to not smile. Knowing that Lena does infact mean it and the different ways of torture Lena can conjure up. “I will keep that in mind.”

“Good.” Lena nods then opens her arms to hug the redhead, which Alex gladly accepts. Suddenly a force plows into them, making the pair sway as Kara wraps her arms around them.

“Kara!” Alex laughs and Lena kisses her best friend’s head affectionately.

Soon the sisters finally leave as Kara flies Alex to Sam’s apartment. Lena watches them disappear into the night before closing and locking the balcony door.

“Hope, please turn off all the lights and engage security protocol.” Lena quietly calls out as she makes her way to the dimly lit bedroom.

Her stomach pinches as her eyes focus on a fast asleep Emma propped against the headboard as if waiting for her.

Lena silently steps into the room and closes the door, hearing the whirl of the security locks sliding into place.

Immediately she turns back to her girlfriend and walks softly over to her. Grimacing at the angle of Emma’s neck, imaging the painful tug the blonde will be feeling if she stays in that position for much longer.

Carefully Lena maneuvers Emma’s body to a lying position, the blonde doesn't stir once but immediately curls towards Lena’s side of the bed. Lena smiles sadly and quickly gets ready to join her girlfriend.

Finally she slides under the covers and lays on her side to face the still sleeping Emma.

“Goodnight my love.” Lena whispers, gently kissing Emma’s lips and wraps her arm around her waist.

Summary: The Superfriends and the eldest Danvers’ sisters adjust their game night plans to accommodate Y/N’s hospital visit.

Ironically, Alex and Kara had been sitting in Kara’s apartment, setting up the games for the game night which was the following weekend, when they got the news. Y/N had worked late that day for her job at the DOE and was sent on a last minute mission which was supposed to be simple and harmless right before she wrapped up for the night. Unfortunately, it was a trap. Some evil guys had wanted to lure out a superhero and when they did, they attacked Y/N. She just about managed to escape, but J’onn had to inform the older Danvers’ sisters that their younger sister was now in the DEO built-in hospital.

It was safe to say that the women did not take the news well. They dropped everything they were doing and Kara flew them to the DEO. Within minutes, the superhero and the agent had burst into the medical ward, frantic and yelling to anyone and everyone around about their sister and her condition. 

Luckily, J’onn had been sitting in the waiting room, also anxious for news since Y/N was like a daughter to him, but he managed to be a bit calmer than Alex and Kara. He rose from his seat and just locking eyes with the alien managed to calm the sisters down. In quick strides, they were standing in front of J’onn, eyes wide, wanting - needing - to hear what happened and some good news. 

 “The doctors are still doing tests to see the extent of her injuries, but she’s going to be okay,” was the first thing he said. 

Both Danvers’ let out breaths of relief and they slumped in the chairs across from J’onn, who sat back down as well. After a couple minutes of the trio just observing each other and their surroundings, Alex plucked up the courage to ask what she and Kara had been wondering ever since the phone call. 

“What did they do to her?” 

J’onn shifted his gaze to his lap. After a beat, he answered. “After she arrived at the scene, she stopped answering her comms since she was fighting. When she ran in the opposite direction of them, though, we checked in. All she said was ‘ambush’ and ‘too many’ before she stopped replying, so a team went out to her last known location . . . They found her unconscious-” he gave Alex and Kara a moment to process this. “-and two of the guys had ran after her. Our agents found them and interrogated them, and they admitted that they had faked a fight on the streets to draw a superhero out since they claimed they despised superheroes. They wanted to bring all superheroes down, but they didn’t except for Y/N to escape. They beat her up and hurt her real badly.”

The three fell into silence. The information was overwhelming, impossible to swallow. Both women were filled with great concern but also unbeatable rage, their minds conjuring up images of Y/N fighting and then running. It broke them.

They only snapped out of their thoughts when the doctor emerged, and her face was unreadable, lips drawn into a tight line, holding a slim paper in her hands. “Agent Danvers will heal,” she announced, and then glanced down at her paper. “She’s greatly bruised, cut-up, and has a minor concussion - she suffered no major injuries, though. We’ll have her stay overnight and then we’ll see when she can be discharged tomorrow.” 

The three nodded and scrambled to her feet. “Can we see her?” Kara asked, her voice sounding strained. The doctor nodded. 

Alex and Kara went in first to find their younger sister laying bandaged-up on the bed, but giving them a small smile. Immediately, the brunette and blonde rushed over to her, asking her if she was okay and how she was feeling. 

Y/N just sunk further into her pillows and took her sister’s hands, quieting. “I won’t lie, I’m not feeling great, but I’m okay - just really tired,” she admitted. 

They nodded and didn’t press her any further, allowing her to sleep.

The next morning and Y/N was eager to get out of there. She didn’t stop talking about the game night which was going to be that night and how she really wanted to catch up with everyone and play. Alex and Kara couldn’t blame her and hoped that she could get discharged, too, but were still a little concerned. 

They were her sisters, how could they not be?

Nonetheless, the doctor came in and instructed Y/N to stand up and walk around and see how she felt. Alex and Kara sat in their chairs, eyes darting back-and-forth between each other and Y/N, who nodded, easing herself out of bed.

She stood up and smiled — everyone else smiled, too — and prepared herself to take a walk around. However, after she took her first couple of steps, that was when her dizziness hit. “Woah,” she mumbled, putting a hand to her head and stumbling back.

Kara, who was closest, leaped out of her chair and steadied Y/N, gently pushing her back on the bed. The doctor frowned and checked her papers. “Dizziness isn’t good, what are you feeling?” She asked.

Y/N thought for a moment, scrunching her face up. “I think-I think those guys yesterday night . . . Now I remember, I think they blasted me with uh, this device that I’ve seen before. It weakens you. Drains you,” she said.

The doctor muttered under her breath, made a note on her paper, informed her that she’d have to stay at least one more day, and then left.

As soon as she did, Y/N explained that it must have been one of the DEO’s devices to her sisters (who knows how they got their hands on it), but pouted, unhappy that she wasn’t discharged.

Alex and Kara soon recognized this and had a silent conversation, resulting in Alex staying with Y/N while Kara made up a fake excuse to go out into the waiting room and make some arrangements.

She called the superfriends — Lena, Winn, J’onn, James, Brainy, and Nina — and told them that game night was still on, but held at a different location this time.

Everyone “RSVP’d” and at 7:00, they all showed up with Y/N’s favorite: PIZZAAA!

To say she was surprised to see everyone walk through the room’s door was an understatement. Her jaw dropped (especially when she saw the pizza) and she grinned, beyond overjoyed to see everyone. She didn’t care that she was injured, and gave them all hugs anyway (well, half-hugs, since she was laying down).

Everyone asked her how she was and she just responded with, “Better now that you’re here.”

Alex and Lena opened the pizza and got everyone slices while Kara got drinks. They ate pizza and turned on the med’s room T.V, which was filled with the basic channels but the superfriends did dramatized commentary to make Y/N laugh, and she did.

Afterwards, the games began!

Everyone split into teams, and everyone wanted Y/N on theirs. She ultimately went with Nia, and the teams were: Y/N and Nia, James and Winn, J’onn and Alex, and Lena and Kara.

First up was Pictionary! Y/N and Nia dominated everyone else. Then, they went into an exciting couple of rounds of Monopoly (which lasted forever), and Lena and Kara came out on top. To close out the night, they finished up with Never Have I Ever (lots of things got revealed there).

All in all, staying at medical wasn’t so bad. The bed’s mattress wasn’t horrible and Y/N got to have game night like she wanted to! She was never more thankful than that moment to have the amazing sisters and friends that she did.

I think the whole point is that SG writers or rather producers have no idea how to write the show or don’t have a plan or are just… really BAD at what thye are doing.

I always try to sort of cater my predictions to their skills. And yeah, they are not great. But Iook to pairings like Brainia and Dansen, pairings they apprently WANT to seem healthy and wholesome. And the writing there is still flawed and frustrating. But I think it still tells us something about how they view relationships. 

Brainia and Dansen give me the vibe is that the writers value people supporting each other and having shared values. Compared to Kreisberg who was more about “I’m attracted to this person even though we have conflicts (and we later find out we have more in common or even start learning something new from them)”. The current writers are more about “yes we have problems and secrets, but we still come together and support each other because ultimately we care about each other and share the same values”. 

Which is why to me Andrea and Lena feel like something that would make sense to these writers, because both are more morally “grey”.

I also think the writers just treat 5A as a playground that doesn’t matter. They will just never address it. Hoping for it is just a waste of time to me at this point. If feels like the writers look at it as “we knew crisis was coming, so we finally could let Lena do all kinds of nutty shit without having to own up for it”. 

So I think for the rest of it, they look at it as Lena and Andrea being more even, where yes Andrea screwed Lena over and Lena did so in turn. They maybe both were trying to use each other and they are both characters to play dirty in business so they won’t hold it against each other that much in that way, potentially, presumably. 

IF the writers are serious about writing a deeper bond between Andrea and Lena, so she is believable as Lena’s main sidekick or companion when the show ends then I would expect it to work more along the lines of how Dansen and Brania work (like Brainy being attentive of Nia’s insecurities in the prom episode or the Myxy episode, or Alex being attentive about Kelly’s desire to be Guardian and Kelly being attentive about Alex’s desire to adopt, heck even how Karamel were kind of attentive of each other’s feelings in 3B). Them supporting each other and being considerate of each other in a more personal way rather than in a generic Kara and Kelly are nice and empathetic with everyone kind of way.

 Andrea helping Lena develop her magic could be that, them hunting Lex together could be that, them grieving William together could be that, Lena helping Actrata make inroads with the Superfriends could be that. I was gonna joke that Lena’s character seems kind of built around being inattentive of the feelings of others (though even though I don’t like her there are some things were you can argue traces of it, she was for example being protective of Sam and James in her own way even if it there were also elements of being misguided about it), so it’s going to be interesting how they are going to tackle that aspect. What I always say, whether Lena is going to be a better friend to Andrea than she was to Kara. Or if it’s just going to be the same with Andrea making her life supporting Lena’s stories and the only difference is that well at least she isn’t a much tortured borderline angelic super heroine, but kind of a messy jerk herself at least to others. 

That does not mean that even if the writers do that that they will ever be the kind of relationship you like or can respect, let alone go shipper crazy for. Because the writers and you just have completely different values of what makes an interesting or good story or ship. 

I’m just saying if the writers wanted to give Lena a good and healthy friendship to hold her up when the show is over, a relationship that the write according to their own values of what makes a good relationship this is how I would expect them to go about it 

So when I try to predict whether this is a storyline the writers plan to do, these are the signs I will look for.  (speaking of similarities, Brainia and Dansen (+3B Karamel) also all share scenes of one partner helping the other hone their skills and powers, that’s why it is so interesting to me whether Andrea will be with Lena in 13 or not, her being the one Lena talks to in her finding her powers episode is a good first step, but only the episodes after that will show whether they will develop it along those line or if that won’t kick in till later and some story with William, maybe about Lex).

The other thing are those shared values, because I think they kind of feed into the concept of how you can be yourself around the other person and you don’t have to censor yourself or change. There have been hints this season that Lena’s value system might still be subtly different from the Superfriends. Maybe the point isn’t going to be that she is finally going to be a repentant good person, she can keep her morality, she’s just going to be with a person (Andrea) who doesn’t have as much of a problem with it. 

(which of course sounds scary as fuck for anybody who is a Lena disliker, but I think from the writers POV we are supposed to buy that in the end Lena’s vaguely positive interests will win out in the end. 

It’s the diference between disliking Lena and thinking she would have to earn a happy and healthy relationship first and maybe the writers taking more the stance that they like Lena the way she is and her happy end is going to be with a person who is totally on board with her being the way she is, digging both her darker, more ruthless side and also understanding her angsty side)

Supergirl 6x07 did an amazing job showing how the lines between reality and delusion were blurred for everyone. I liked Nia and Kelly especially.

Nia's worst fear wasn't just one thing. It was not being able to interpret her powers and someone she loves dying because of it, as well as Brainy not believing in it.

Kelly's fear wasn't just losing Alex but not being enough for Alex. Her worst fear was losing Alex despite her best efforts. She also did the most out of everyone in the team. That was some oblivious foreshadowing for her becoming the Gardian.

Lena and Nia talking and bonding over their mothers was so satisfying to watch. To see Lena being accepted by superfriends was long overdue. Dare I hope for Nia and Lena moments in the future?

Brainy and Kelly's interactions was something I never knew I needed. It's so nice to see both of them open up to each other. Especially for Kelly. Since Alex is so worried about Kara Kelly couldn't talk about her feelings. At the moment she was putting Alex first. So I'm glad she talked about it with someone.

Someone give Katie McGrath and award because she killed it. Maybe it's because her clothes or hairstyle I don't know, Lena just seemed a lot more... calm? relaxed despite the stress they were under. Walking away from L Corp helped her a lot.

I really liked the last scene with Nyxly and that evil grin she had on her face.

About the things I dislike... Zor El still feels very unnecessary. Insted of him talking to Kara if Alex had gone down and had talked to her it would have been so much more impactful. But that's kinda it.

Do I wish there was a supercorp hug? Yes. But it's not the end of the world. Was the promo for the next episode underwhelming? Also yes. Maybe they don't have enough footage, or maybe they don't want to spoil something important. It's not great but it's also not nearly as bad as people make it out to be.
