For the ask game: 10,24 & 30
10. what is the longest amount of time you've let a draft rest before you finished it?
A. A year and a few weeks. It was for The Wisps Sing (ATLA fic). Though I realize now there is actually one that is longer, but I haven't gone and finished it so...
24. how do you recharge when you're not feeling creative?
A. If I really need to become creative, I stand in the shower and go deep in thought because I get my best ideas in the shower for some reason. Or I take a walk.
If I don't necessarily need to be creative but have no juice, I read something, play a video game, or maybe watch something. I usually get inspired somehow.
30. share a fic you're especially proud of
A. Recently, I got a really nice comment on My Mirror, My Sword, and Shield. I was already pretty proud of that fic, but this comment over a year after I finished writing the fic really made me appreciate the content of it more. Also, it was my first multichapter for Fire Emblem: Three Houses fics so!! A special place in my heart.

For fic asks, 4, 16, 24, and 30!
Hi Squid hi!!!!
4. a story idea you haven’t written yet
Oh man. Yesterday @beelzebby666 and I concocted an entire Southern Gothic Necromancy AU... it's delicious and the vibes are incredible. Trigun would do so well as gothic horror.
16. favorite place to write
Normally I write on my couch or this little lounge chair I have, but my favorite place to write is my cute little balcony! My husband and I spent a day a few weeks ago re-vamping the balcony and we got a whole bunch of plants to liven the place up (including some baby strawberry plants he's very protective and proud of). It's so peaceful. I was writing out there yesterday :)
24. how do you recharge when you’re not feeling creative?
Honestly? I go through frequent uncreative phases. That's when I usually need sleep or exercise (or both). Past that, I'll recharge the creative juices by listen to music or talking about my stories with a friend. Talking about my fic always, always gets me hyped up for it again!
30. share a fic you’re especially proud of
I mean, Bluebells, of course, but also I'm especially proud of how my Millionsummers Body Horror week piece, Fresh Cut, came together. It's a really intense fic (heed the tags), but I feel like I got all the emotions across that I wanted to, and I wrote most of it on a plane!

Fic Writer Asks - 2023 In Review
(28.) How did you recharge between fics?
This is pretty common I think, but in terms of general creative writing, I conceptualise recharging as needing to fill up the creative juices tank with exposure to new and interesting media - if I go for too long without that, I feel like the tank runs dry
(29.) If this were an awards show, who would you thank?
You’re on the list for being a cool person and great cheerleader friend! I would also thank people who do great informational history posts on dead frenchmen - josefvomjaaga is probably single-handedly responsible for my Soult enjoyment - and also people who write great fanfic and do great art in this tiny fandom, and honestly everyone for the great and chill time
And also my partner who does not really appreciate dead Frenchmen but puts up with my rambling and occasionally reads my writing
(30.) What’s something that you want to write in 2024?
Night at the Marshalate augh I’m not happy with my Murat and Ney character voices and I’m a little stuck on some parts of the plot
but also the weird fairy tale stuff - I have a bit of a bessimu-ish thing written up for that, part of the lannap thing, and I want to do something with roi nicolas
And I’m pondering a daemon AU (AU where everyone has a symbolic animal companion representing their soul that symbolises their personality, role and story, kinda think Lannes has a dog but what kind of dog? And I’m not sure fox fits Soult but hmmmmmmm)
And I kiiiinda want to write Ney/Soult hatesex but I do not believe I can write smut. And I need to read up more about their enmity
I don’t feel super confident in terms of writing historically resonant historical fiction which is why I’m mostly doing silly AUs
In terms of non Marshalate stuff, there is the “French Hussar rides a captured British horse that turns out to be a shapeshifting Scottish kelpie, the eldritch fae kelpie usually enjoys killing people but makes an exception, shapeshifts into a rifleman and the two fall in love” thing that is not particularly coherent in my head but would be fun, but also subject to the I Don’t Think I Can Actually Write Historical Fiction thing
I am not very disciplined when it comes to writing but now that I’m free of uni I’m hoping some mental real estate is freed up for Writing
Thank you so much for the ask! I am always up for ask games and asks~

December 31: State of Grace
I wanted this blog to be the most special because it would be my last blog this year and next year. I decided to be on hiatus next year to rest, to regain my creative juices. Though every artist needs to recharge, I had the most fun doing my 365-day drawing challenge.
Do not worry, though, because I have scheduled surprises once a month to make this blog active! Until then, I hope you guys keep healthy, fun, and optimistic this coming 2023! It's the bunny year (in the Chinese zodiac sign)! I hope 2023 will be as cuddly and adorable as a bunny, haha; my fingers are crossed.
Anyway, I would divide this blog into three sections: announcement, recommendations, and message. I am excited to share my thoughts, so here it goes!
ANNOUNCEMENTS
The first announcement
As I mentioned, I will be less active next year on my social media accounts. However, I would still post surprises once a month to keep a few of you who support my blog active. Yay!
Second announcement
I will close some social media accounts next year, specifically Twitter and YouTube, as I want to focus more on Tumblr, Deviantart, and Instagram.
Third announcement
I am still deciding whether to change my blog's name. Until then, let's see what happens from 2023 to 2024!
RECOMMENDATIONS
This has been a tradition for me to list everything I wanted to recommend to you guys.
Podcast
Talks in Class by Jenna Barclay
If you are a millennial like me, this podcast is perfect for you. Ms. Jenna is probably the mother of the early 2000s nostalgia for me! She's funny, creative, and witty! Listen to her podcast and reminisce about your cringe early 2000s memories.
The Bald and the Beautiful with Trixie Mattel and Katya Zamo
I am not a follower of drag race, but I love these two fabulous creative queens. Suppose you like listening to random and crazy topics about life, the internet, mainstream media, or anything. In that case, this podcast is totally for you. There are no boring seconds in this podcast. You'd cry while laughing so much.
Eons: Mysteries of Deep Time
Fossils, dinosaurs, cavemen, and whatever knowledge from the past you wanna know, Eons doesn't disappoint, as always. I love their YouTube channel I am glad they now have a podcast. I wish they would continue uploading more content on Spotify. Totally worth your time.
The Kit & Krysta Podcast
If you followed Nintendo Minutes on YouTube, you would recognize these two amazing people. Do you like Pokemon? Zelda? Or any games? This podcast is totally for you! I love how I also learned some tips about games because of them.
Series
That 70's Show
I just started this series and am now in season four going five. I love this because, as someone who wasn't born this year, I appreciate all the popular things in the 70s. I love the cast and the writing because the tone is similar to Malcolm in the middle. You won't know what's coming next, haha! My favorite character is Kitty Foreman! :D
Wednesday
I love this series. I was iffy to watch this because I thought it would be full of gore, but it wasn't! I also like the casting here. It's close to the comics! I love actor Hunter who played Tyler. He is so hot and talented!
Adventure Time
I know I am 10 years late or something, haha! But I really loved Cartoon Network in the 2010s; they had such good shows. I am glad I watch this series without commercials or a season break. If you like Steven Universe, Regular Show, Adventure Time would be your thing too! It's so good!
Albums/Songs
Midnights
My first Taylor Swift album. I have previously listened to her album but have yet to be this in-depth. I just turned into a Swiftie now. Almost all my liked songs on Spotify are from her! I love Karma, Hits Different, and You're on your own, Kid.
Red
I am 5 to 6 years late, but this is my favorite album this year. I love almost all the songs here. Taylor Swift, you are talented! My favorite songs are State of grace, Red, and Message in the bottle.
The Loneliest Time
I love Carly so much! This album is such a chill vibe for me. 10 out of 10 for me!
Celestial
Ed Sheeran doesn't disappoint! I was happy when he released a song for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. It's so nostalgic same with Post Malone's music for Pokemon.
That's all my recommendations this year that I have listened to and watched many times. I would love to have a book recommendation soon as well!
MESSAGES
I always say this, but I am genuinely happy even though I have few followers on my social media accounts. You guys still make time to respond, like, and share my artwork. I cannot thank you enough for doing this. I often feel emotional every time I get likes passed 10. It is silly, but your 'likes' and 'follows.' Make artists like I inspired and fuel me to do more creative stuff.
Thank you so much for being part of my 2022 adventure. It was not a perfect year, but we had fun learning from our mistakes, challenges, and goals. 2023 would again be our year together.
This blog's title it's inspired by Taylor Swift's song in the Red album, State of Grace. It's one of my favorite songs of hers, especially the lyrics, "This is the golden age of something good and right and real" I wanted to manifest this next year. Let's go, 2023!
Talk to you later!
- Please do not repost my artwork/design. Ask me first.
Thank you!

Writing Habits
My eternal thanks @mjparkerwriting for this lovely tag and @serenanymph for this here one!
Rules: Bold/color the things that you relate to and then tag some people to play.
I write: daily | most days | a few times a week | a few times a month | random
I write most often: when I first get up | later in the morning | afternoon | evening | the wee hours of the night | whenever
In one sitting, I tend to write: a few sentences at a time | a few hundred words | a few thousand words | a complete chapter/section no matter how long | an outline | whatever comes
I tend to write scenes: in chronological order with no skipping | mostly in order but with some filler/skipping | whatever scene I feel like | who knows what’s gonna come out
The things that come easiest to me are: dialogue | description of senses | description of action | description of characters | exposition | other
I tend to write: on a phone | on a laptop | in a notebook | on whatever paper I can find | with speech to text | in the blood of my enemies | it doesn’t really matter to me | on paper first and then typed up | old school typewriter | on a computer
When I take a break from writing, it usually lasts: a few days | a few weeks | a few months | it’s kind of random
My favorite thing to do when I’m on a writing break is: recharge with other creative hobbies | read/consume other media | do something physical | catch up with old friends | work on my WIP in other ways like with playlists or art | other
In general, I think my writing habits are: pretty much what I need them to be | okay, but I’m working on making them better | non-existent | not great | i’m excited to develop them further | totally random | perfect for me
Tagging from The Post (lightly): @palebdot, @kooperation1101, @leisoree, and @sm-writes-chaos
some more specific answers under the cut:
I write most often when the hyperfixation hits. I go through long stretches without working on my main WIP (six months plus) and then sudden bursts of productivity where I spend 4-10 hours a day on it.
Things that come easiest to me (other than dialogue and action) are internal monologue, sexual tension, banter (though that is just dialogue), worldbuilding details, pacing, symbolism, and plot itself. I'm good at seeing the symbolism and knowing what details I want to include, but actually putting it to words? Not nearly as elloquent as I would like it.
I do all my actual drafting on a laptop, but I use scrap paper, printer paper, my sketchbook, various notebooks, the margins of my lecture notes, the giant-ass whiteboards in my room, and the blood of my enemies on the bathroom mirror for all my worldbuilding and plot-construction.
What I do on a writing break depends on the kind of break. Did I just finish a project? Then it's time to focus on harp and martial arts. Am I warming up to get back into writing after a hiatus or taking an involuntary break due to writer's block? Then I read to get the inspo juices flowing (and hopefully absorb my favourite author's styles by osmosis). Do I need to let a draft sit for a few weeks but still have other things I could do WIP-wise? I do those other things. There is also the break where I let one WIP rest for a time and work on another instead.
The only writing habits I have are my tendency to write later in the day/night, posting my progress here, and the fact that the hyperfixation somehow does not consume my life when it hits. I still hang with friends, do martial arts, go for walks, and work; just all my free time alone is spent writing. My dream is to have a schedule but I need to learn how to better manage my chronic fatigue first.

Hi kay! I saw you reblog that wonderful dear writer post and just wanted to drop by and say hello! Hope you're doing well 💞💞💞 (and that your creative juices are flowing, or maybe getting some much needed rest, depending on what you need!)
Bri, hey! This was such a sweet message to find in my inbox ❤️❤️❤️ I’ve been recharging my creative energies while slowly chipping away at my oldest WIP, and right now it feels like I’ve found a nice balance for all that ✨ I’m VERY over this winter and just wanna be rid of all this snow, but otherwise life’s been good. 🌷
I hope you’re doing well, too! Your new fic looks so good but also like it’s gonna hurt my poor little heart 🥺❤️

This past week has been a creative rollercoaster and I'm not the sort of person who enjoys or seeks out rollercoasters.
This past Monday: Cranky as fuck with the fact that a project that has been plaguing my brain since 2018 finally needed to be addressed. Why? Because it was taking up space in my brain and demanding attention, which meant that it was acting like a demanding 5 year old (or one of my very communicative cats) who wouldn't leave me in peace while I was trying to focus my mind on work for *OTHER PROJECTS THAT ARE MORE IMPORTANT TO ME*. Like, flm, amiright? Lol. orz.... I didn't have any answers but addressing and acknowledging the fact that I was frustrated as all hell left the door open for me to allow myself to notice interesting synchronicities that would stream through my environment during the next five days.
This past Wednesday: Downright ugh with the fact that the important-to-me creative projects I was trying to focus on (when not being interrupted by the demanding nonsense mentioned above) were all feeling stale because I none of these other projects have been given the attention they needed over the past N years (for a large value of N) and just looking at them felt like standing in a bed of weeds where a once cultivated garden had been. And not a nice bed of flowering weeds. A noxious and itchy allergy provoking mess of weeds that looked sort of pathetic. Acknowledging that sense of ugh--staleness in words was a very good thing because THAT allowed my brain to step back from the fact that the situation was precisely what it is (as described in this paragraph) which then primed my brain to do two important things: (1) just let go of the state that the projects were current in or have previously wanted to go in and (2) redesign this (actually very familiar-to-me) space in a new fresh way based on a rush of "let my environment talk back to me" inspiration that occurred on Thursday.
Yesterday, aka, Friday: Some totally random synchronicity sparked an "ah-HA!" in my brain to address the first bundle of problems from Monday (which is the project I absolutely never asked for that keeps annoying my brain like a 5 year old or a persistent cat while I'm trying to work on other things). Actually, it was a series of "Ah! Ah-ha! Ah-HA! Oh, and also AH-HAA!" but by then it was pretty late and I officially called my workweek done (for reasons of personal sanity and household sanity+harmony). So, I jotted down a series of notes in my phone's notes app while epic gaming was occurring in the TV/Media room (just reread those notes right now and they still make sense, phew, relief). And then another moment of "OH lol, ah-huh? Hm!" hit very late in the evening while on my professional instagram account, which led me to order a book that literally arrived on my doorstep while I was brushing my teeth this morning. (Not sure how I feel about all of the implications there, but let's just ignore that for now.) Skimmed through book today over coffee and contemplated... Hm.
Today, Saturday: And now I just feel sort of exhausted from the emotional rollercoaster of this past week because I am not the kind of person who likes rollercoasters or seeks them out and I normally prefer to just be in a steady state of Focused Flow where the Inspiration is Juiced But Steady.
We have a 3 day weekend and, for reasons, I want to focus on all of the household/adulting/chores/family-time stuff that belongs in a weekend -- or, better yet, a 3 day weekend! Which means we have time for extra activities that we keep putting off! Also, my weekends are all about me recharging my well of inspiration, which means spending my down time doing random things -- reading whatever I feel like reading, maybe playing video games, or maybe being lazy and just seeing what my brain decides to do to fill in the boredom.
Also, I have some fanfic plans for the weekend as the Final Fantasy Kiss Battle is going on over on dreamwidth.
And I think I have taken enough notes such that I can pick up my train of thought on Tuesday when the time comes to poke at (1) Projects I Consider High Value but also (2) The Project I Never Asked For That Won't Leave Me Alone So, Fine, Whatever, I Guess It Is Mine Now (with biggest stereotypical 1980s/90s-youth Gen-X epic eye-roll here).

13-19-24-29 for the fic writer asks <3
Omg codename-adler hiiiiii 🥰
13. a fandom you’re thinking about writing for
None, actually. It takes me a very specific combination of interesting and lacking for a source material to attract me to do fanwork, because otherwise I just stick to original, but AFTG is truly my white whale. I fear I will have things to say about these books for forever.
That being said, I did have ideas for batfam and TRC, but since I don't feel The Urge™ in either of those, I really don't think anything is going to come out of that.
19. the most interesting topic you’ve researched for a fic
Not TECHNICALLY a fic, but I did a Kayleigh coma prompt for the daylight fic fest that made me look up if a 14 year long coma was possible. It actually is. The longest coma registered in history was from a Canadian called Annie Shapiro, who was under for 29 years after an stroke and woke in '92, living 9 years after that. There was also a Emirati called Munira Abdulla who woke up after 27 years from a coma caused by a car crash. So, technically, it could happen!
For some reason, the verisimilitude was very important to me.
24. how do you recharge when you’re not feeling creative?
Nothing gets me the juice™ like a good story. Something that I know either from experience or recommendation that I'm going to love. Sometimes I'll even pick a specific thing based on theme – I once wrote a (now forever shelved) project on pirates that had me rewatching the Sinbad movie any time I needed energy (not that it's GOOD, but it made me feel very nostalgic, so good enough).
29. how easy is it for you to come up with titles?
Really, really easy. Naming is actually a crucial part of my writing process. It usually goes Concept -> Title -> Plot -> Actual writing. Sometimes a title will change during the writing itself because it will cease to fit the vibe, but it's rare.
Funny enough, I've noticed most of my fic titles are plays on popular sayings. And also I really like all lowercase titles, sorry.
Here are the three titles (and thus projects) I have come up with this last week:
bury me in the deep
rational creatures
stranger than fiction

Why Creative Burnout is So Common
Creative burnout can be one of the most frustrating things to deal with. Whether you're producing content for your website or trying to come up with killer marketing ideas, there's nothing worse than sitting down to work and coming up with blanks.
Don't worry: You're not alone, and it doesn't mean you lack the skills to do what you do best. Burnout is a common feeling that everyone encounters at some point. In this blog, you'll learn about some common causes of burnout and what you can do to overcome it.
Why Does Creative Burnout Happen?
It doesn't matter how much you love what you do or how great you are at creating things people love. Burnout can affect you for many different reasons.
For many people, the sheer stress of delivering is enough to block inspiration. Unrealistic expectations from others paired with tight deadlines and a lack of variety can all make this feeling rear its ugly head.
Sometimes, the cause of burnout is a lack of variety or challenge. Spending considerable time creating similar work can feel like you're running on fumes and have no new ideas to inspire you. People also face burnout when they don't have enough support, recognition or competition.
Ways to Overcome Creative Burnout
No matter the cause of your burnout, you don't have to waste your time twiddling your thumbs and hoping inspiration strikes! Here are a few ways to kick your imagination into overdrive and start being productive.
Use Tools to Get the Creative Juices Flowing
One way to bypass burnout entirely is to use tools that help you develop new ideas. For example, content creators can utilize software for SEO content generation. Use it to brainstorm, generate outlines that guide your creative process and more.
Software for SEO content generation is a game-changer that saves you time and headaches. Best of all, it makes your life easier and maximizes productivity.
Take a Breather
If you have time to spare, consider walking away from your work. Focus on tasks you enjoy doing. That can be facets of your job that don't require much creative input. Or, you can spend some time unwinding in front of the TV! Whatever the case, that time away may be all you need to recharge.
Celebrate Your Achievements
Moving forward, make a habit of celebrating the wins, no matter how small they are. Give yourself a pat on the back when you create something great. That recognition, even if only internal, makes a big difference and can help you find value in your work.

5 Best Small Backyard Landscaping Ideas
Tumblr media
Is your backyard space limited but your imagination unlimited? You’re in luck. There are some amazing small backyard landscaping ideas to be found that will get your creative juices flowing. Before you know it, your little plot of land can feel like a real backyard oasis. Whether you want space to entertain friends or value having a private recharge in nature, even small backyards can be adapted to suit your needs.
1. Make Use of Vertical Space
Getty
With ground space at a premium, look upward. With some basic carpentry skills, it’s possible to DIY tiered garden beds that can give you much more gardening space without biting into your walkway. Not the DIY type? Vertical garden beds available for purchase mean you only need to provide the green thumb.
2. Build in Seating
Getty
Chairs and especially lounge chairs take up a lot of space, which is a problem if you don’t want to constantly bump into them while navigating your small yard. By installing built-in seating around the perimeter of a deck or of the yard itself, you can expand your entertaining opportunities without reducing your usable central space.
3. Define Spaces With a Floating Deck
Getty
Who says the only place for a deck is directly off the house? By tucking a floating deck into the corner of your small yard, you can give the illusion of more space. Add a bistro table and chairs for a welcoming space to sip morning coffee or add a hammock to the level platform for a close-to-home getaway. The average cost for a simple, 10-by-10-foot deck with pressure-treated pine is $2,000.
4. Mix Ground Cover Materials
Getty
If you inherit a small backyard that is filled corner to corner with the same ground cover material, it’s time to mix it up. By visually breaking up the texture of the ground cover landscaping materials, like a mix of pavers, rock, turf and decking, the yard will feel much more custom and interesting.
5. Take a Second Look at ‘Wasted’ Space
Getty
When you’re working with the natural limitation of a small backyard, one of the best strategies is trying to multipurpose landscaping elements when possible. A privacy fence can also serve as a vertical garden bed. A shaded corner can be the perfect spot for a water fountain. A tiny concrete patio can be retrofitted with an in-ground fire pit.

I wanted to come up with something new for this one but my brain keeps throwing blanks at me, so have a part 2 for the Cybertronian sleep headcanons collection:
Knock Out, like Smokescreen, is a 'burn through ur batteries in like three days straight' type of system configuration, but he's managed to stretch his maximum awake time out to nearly a week by creative systems tweaking and also some illicit substance use. He recharges in short spells and frequently has to wake up just to change position or some shit, which pisses him off.
Breakdown goes down for about 15 hours every eight days or so. On Earth, he recharges sitting up because his kibble gets in the way no matter how he lays and it's just a huge Pain. He's good with his sleep hygiene because if he isn't good he has trouble getting to sleep and Suffers as a result. He can't recharge with Knock Out because KO's constant tossing and turning wakes him up.
Soundwave just straight up doesn't recharge. He used to; his prewar gladiator frame needed it, but since he got reformatted to the current frame his energy needs are perfectly balanced to what his spark can provide and what he gets out of his energon rations. He sleeps to defrag once in a blue moon, but this isn't a true recharge, more like 'laying down with ur eyes closed and letting ur mind wander'.
Starscream recharges irregularly and infrequently. He's also close to balanced, like Soundwave, but his Seeker processor needs juuust a little more juice. Before the war he used to block out the equivalent of like two days to get a nice full battery charge and then spend the next six-ish months awake, but these days he avoids sleeping more than a couple hours at a time ("in case he's needed," he says) and therefore needs to recharge once a week or so. It's doable? But far from ideal.
Dreadwing and Skyquake needed about a day's worth per fortnight or so. They always recharged together where possible, and they don't sleep that well apart. Skyquake used to prefer sleeping facedown and Dreadwing gave him shit over it.
Airachnid is an Arachnicon and doesn't recharge in the classic manner either. She can shut down most of her systems independent of one another and run on one or two basic life-support or sensory awareness programs in order to save energy when necessary, but she's still aware and more or less awake during this. You probably could not hold an intelligent conversation with her, however XD
Shockwave needs a lot of sleep to fuel his energy-hungry frame and dastardly mind. He's up there with Knock Out in sleep frequency and overall sleep quality, because he fucked up slightly fiddling with his emotional processing and now he has to sleep to handle some of the data that slips by. Physically he's well-rested but he doesn't get a lot of the mental benefits that usually come with it.
Megatron sleeps like a rock, because of course he does. He could sleep through a natural disaster or a raging battle, and probably has. He needs much less sleep than his frametype might suggest - heavy warbuilds typically are less than energy-efficient - but he also has a ridiculously powerful spark and under normal circumstances he's perfectly fine sleeping for a day or so every month. Since he shoved a chunk of dark energon directly into his spark, he has not recharged at all because this is the equivalent of, like, having a permanent dose of amphetamine embedded in ur brain and then chugging energy drinks on top of it.

╰☆☆☆☆╮
You smiled when childish laughter erupted from the garden, the sound warming your heart at your son's joy. The curtains in the children's bedroom filtered the sunlight, generating a subdued and colourful atmosphere. Your son was in a deep sleep, his tiny shut fists resting delicately at the sides of his head, his pacifier moving to the rhythm of his breathing. With the back of your finger, you tenderly stroke his cheek, a joyful smile on your lips.
You sighed lightly, remembering your husband's reaction the day you announced the good news. When you first learned that you were going to be a mother, you weren't sure what to think. Sangyeon's potential bad reaction terrified you, having no idea how well he was going to take this news. The weight had come off your shoulders as he fell to his knees in front of you, eyes sparkling with happiness and excitement, you knew you wanted to live this experience with your boyfriend by your side.
Three years have passed since that wonderful event, and it's safe to say you've never been happier. A beautiful, healthy little boy had joined your pair, and Sangyeon had become an overprotective father, always ready and prepared to take care of his son by relying on the many readings and Internet researches that he had completed during your pregnancy. While you were feeding your son or resting, he would transform into a man-of-all-work and help around the house. It took a huge weight off your shoulders, just like when he woke up instead of you to soothe your child who was struggling to sleep through the night, allowing you to sleep and recharge your batteries. Your husband made a great daddy and loved you and your son to death, showering you both with unconditional love.
You announced your second pregnancy on his birthday, a few weeks after returning from your honeymoon. You stumbled across a video in which a woman was giving her husband baby clothes for his birthday on social media, and you decided that it was a creative idea and did the same.
During all these years of living together and this new experience as parents, Sangyeon had decided that you were the one with whom he wanted to settle in and share his life, proposing to you two years after your son's birth. The preparation for this fabulous event had brought you together a lot, and your skills in relationship communication had evolved exponentially.
Here you are now in a life of four, living in a house with a dog and a garden, a place your oldest son loved almost more than his bedroom and his toys. He spent most of his time there when the weather was nice and warm, having fun playing soccer with his father. He also loved making angels when the snow was in abundance, the smile that radiated on his face filled you with the greatest happiness in the world.
Taking your new born son in your arms, you rocked him gently against you, feeling his warm body all wrapped up in his pyjamas against your chest. He struggled to open his eyes and let his dummy fall against his chest. He was so cute that you couldn't suppress a smile, your son returning almost instantly the second his eyes met yours. The big brown orbs he got from his father held a lot of love, and his little feet wriggled in excitement when you kissed his forehead.
"Did you sleep well, my little angel?" Your thumb stroked his cheek, and he continued to gaze at you in awe, your heart softening with tenderness as he let out a gurgle to answer. Gently fixing his position in your arms as his cheek rolled against your chest, his eyes still misted with sleep bored into yours as he slowly emerged from his slumber.
Opening the patio door to the balcony, you tightened your cardigan around yourself as a light wind blew, creating a slight chill in the comforting morning heat of late spring. Your eldest son was chasing a foam ball, your husband standing in front of the miniature goal that reached his thigh, purposefully missing the ball for your son to score.
"Goaaaaaaaal!" Your other son threw his little arms in the air and ran around the garden, your dog following him with his tail wagging. Sangyeon shrugged but smiled, amused by your son's attitude and enthusiasm. You smiled too from your spot on the balcony, gently cradling your other son in your arms. "Good job, Hyungseo!" Your husband looked around the living room for a short moment, looking for you, but he gave you a smile you couldn't imagine brighter when he noticed you up there, congratulating your son for his accomplishment, but the latter didn't hear you.
Once he finally stopped, breathless, Sangyeon walked over to him while chuckling, bending down to be at the same level with him. You watched your husband whisper something into your son's ear, who almost immediately looked up at you. You gave him a little wave with a smile, and he came running up, locating himself just below the balcony, a huge smile on his face.
"Hi Mom! Hi Youngjae!" He moved his small hands from side to side, and you gave him a flying kiss, Sangyeon lifting him from behind to settle him on his shoulders. He laughed as he kept waving, sending him a playful wink in return as you couldn't reach him.
Your husband grabbed Hyungseo's hands and started running around the garden, still with him on his shoulders, a crystal-clear laugh falling from their lips as they were brimming with energy already so early in the morning. You walked down to the garden, and they stopped when they saw you, Hyungseo touching the ground again. He ran to you as you sat in a lounge chair, watching his younger brother with attentive eyes.
"Are you going to feed him, Mommy?" He asked, and you nodded, making sure your new born was comfortably positioned in your arms. "Come on Hyungseo, let's go make some bread and jam, hm? Youngjae needs to be calm to eat. We can come back to them as soon as we prepared breakfast, okay?" Your husband explained to your child, whose face immediately lit up at the mention of food. “Yesssss!" Your son exclaimed and clapped his tiny hands, Sangyeon gently pushing him inside the house. You looked up smiling, closing your eyes for a quick second as he kissed your lips. "I'll be back in 5 minutes," his hand came to cradle your cheek, and you nodded, enjoying the tender gesture. He kissed your forehead before striding towards the kitchen, closing the sliding door behind him.
You took the opportunity to breastfeed your son, who had his tiny hand resting against your chest, trying to cling onto his food source as your two other boys bustled about and laughed in the kitchen. Your thumb stroked his chubby cheek and you beamed, the tightness you felt in your breast from the milk not being able to compete with the happiness that bloomed in your heart.
"Here you go Mommy," your son's frail voice reached your ears again as your gaze stared into space for a brief moment out of exhaustion, your hand still against your child's face. Hyungseo was holding a tall glass of juice with his two hands, Sangyeon appearing again, balancing three plates in his hands. He put two on his side and one at the other end of the table where Hyungseo usually sat. You kissed your son on the forehead as a thank you and took a few sips, feeling the sweet, pulpy liquid run down your neck and quench your thirst.
"Breakfast served for the best mom in the world," he handed you a plate with two slices of toasted bread spread with butter and honey cut into small squares, smiling at the fact that he had thought about you and your health. "Thank you very much honey," he kissed the top of your head and watched for a few moments Youngjae in your arms as he suckled quietly, his finger caressing his tiny, plump arm. "He's just as handsome as his mother," Sangyeon muttered before looking up at you, a tender smile on his face. You kissed him again, this time on the cheek, your heart going fuzzy at the notable sweetness and sincerity behind his words.
Your husband sat down with Hyungseo and began to enjoy breakfast, chatting and exchanging looks with great affection. You had never been so complete, and you could only thank life for making your path cross with Sangyeon's. He gave you a wink and quickly wiped off the chocolate spread that decorated the corner of your son's mouth with his finger before bringing it to his own mouth, the latter asking a lot of questions about his little brother and his health.
He was indeed going through the phase when curiosity was the only thing on his mind, your husband sometimes losing patience as your son wondered about anything and everything. Fortunately, he hadn't yet been amazed at how he and his little brother were created and brought into the world, but it won't be long in coming.
"Mommy! Are you coming to play with Daddy and me?" Hyungseo ran to the rocking chair in which you always fed Youngjae, your eldest child stroking his little brother's skull with his hand. "No Hyungseo, leave Mommy alone, she needs some rest. Nourishing a child can get pretty exhausting for your mother, but she will come and play soon," Sangyeon explained as he carried the plates to the kitchen, his body in the glass doorway. He nodded to his son to follow him, and he obeyed, a sad pout decorating his lips. "Honey, I'll come and play with you after I put Youngjae to bed for a nap, okay?" Sorrow left your son's eyes almost immediately, beaming as he heard his father call him from the kitchen. "Come on, go help Daddy with the dishes. Mommy promises to take care of you as soon as possible," he trotted back to your chair and pressed his lips on your cheek in a slobbery kiss before running to the kitchen.
You chuckled through your nose when you heard Sangyeon scold him for running around barefoot before shifting your attention back to your son, who was looking at you with a lot of admiration in the eyes. Giving him a lovely smile, your thumb came to caress his cheek again, a wave of relief flooding your chest as he finally let go of your breast. After you burped him, you were about to go upstairs to change his diapers, but Sangyeon emerged from the kitchen right at the same time, smiling at the sight of you cradling your son on your shoulder.
"It's okay, I'll take care of it," he winked at you before taking his son from your arms and kissing him on the forehead, Hyungseo walking up to you to hug you, his little arms struggling to wrap themselves around your thighs. "Come on, Hyungseo, let's brush our teeth and then we'll play, okay?" He nodded, still leaning against you, and you took his hand, leading him to the second floor, following the same path your husband had taken a few seconds ago.
Being the big boy he wanted to be and in a hurry to get back to playing with his foam ball, your oldest awkwardly brushed his teeth on his own, putting toothpaste all over his face and fingers. You lowered yourself to his level and showed him the right movements he needed to do to brush his teeth properly. Sangyeon was in the corner of the room, a smile on his lips as he changed your son's diapers, moved by the attention you paid to your children's education. He gently wiped Youngjae clean and tickled his belly once he was done clipping the press studs of his bodysuit, your son immediately giggling at his father.
"Everything's good, you can go back to play, but don't run down the stairs," you ruffled your son's hair with a tender hand, Hyungseo dashing outside the bathroom. You were about to raise your voice, but you listened to him go down the stairs one by one with a content smile, satisfied that he obeyed you. "Thank you," you mumbled, wanting to take your son off the baby-changing table, but Sangyeon was quicker.
"You already carry him all day, let me relieved your back and take care of him," you rested his head on his shoulder as he hugged your son, feeling a hand cling to your cheek, making you laugh as Youngjae also wanted to participate in this moment of tenderness. "Come on, let's go downstairs before our other one gets all jealous," you chuckled before kissing your son then husband, letting him grab some sunglasses and a little hat for your son.
Grazing the railing with your fingertips, you sighed with ease, feeling loved and cared for by the three men who lived in your house. You used to have many doubts and insecurities about motherhood, but your husband's help and support had erased them all. You were happy to be a mom, and nothing could change that.

Hey everyone, Mod Nobbu here with a small announcement
You may have noticed that posts in this blog have become more and more sporadic these last couple of weeks. This has been due to the fact that my job in real life has been overworking me to hell and back, so when I make it back home all beaten and bloody I don’t really have the energy or time to make content. I really love working on this blog and making you guys laugh with my silly jokes, but making such long posts is a tiring and slow process, so lately I haven’t been able to make any. Besides, this might sound dumb for what is essentially a shitposts blog, but I do have a quality standard for what I post. I don’t want to make confessions by simply grabbing vaguely related pngs from google and copy-pasting the text in a black box underneath. I mean, that’d allow me to post like 15 times a day and it’d probably get me just as many notes per post, but I feel like those would be awful, shallow posts, and you guys deserve better for taking the time to engage with the content here. I want each confession I make to be its own little story with a punchline, and that takes time and effort. Therefore, I’ll be taking a break from posting on this blog until I have the energy and time required to make the quality of posts I want to make. Will I be back in a week? Will I be back in a month? A year? I don’t really know to be honest, I just know I need some time to recharge my creative juices.
If you want more Fate stuff in the meantime, you can follow me in @elizabethbathoryofficial, which is a hub for sfw Fate content where I also post my own original stuff from time to time. If you want to check out my main blog, you can follow @youhavethewrong, where I post non-fate related humour posts.
That being said, it’s about time to put this blog to sleep for some time until it can come back with full force. Thank you all so much for following me this long, and I hope you’ve all enjoyed and had a couple chuckles at the things I posted here, I put a lot of care into them~ ❤️
Mod Nobbu out! Time to go back into the grave for me.
