plain and simple i am not going to be able to remain in this fandom long-term if i have to keep putting disclaimers on every single one of my posts that say i don't condone dennis' bad, bad actions and that i am in fact aware he's got a history of sexual assault and dubious/nonconsent. the entire gang has done heinous shit. why is dennis the only one who needs to be treated like this? if some rando wants to post about how dennis is pookie pie that doesn't automatically mean they're blind to his crimes. every single member of the gang is a piece of shit. that's kind of the point.

#ada speaks #i'm not vagueing this is a constant thing ive experienced #i still have angry anons sitting in my askbox mad that i didn't explicitly condemn him last time i got into this #i'm really not a fan of the tension in the fandom the last few days #and like. i know its a hot button issue rn. everyone's going back and forth abt mac and dennis' SA #but this fandom genuinely does have an issue SPECIFICALLY MENTIONING things mac does to dennis and uwu-ifying them #when they are explicitly classified as SA in canon (which is an actual present issue i think needs to be addressed)#rather than like. just the mere MENTION of dennis outside of his SA is somehow condoning his actions #im sorry but i really do not feel the need to constantly talk about him assaulting women #everyone knows. everyone sees it. just bc i am dissecting other parts of his character does not mean i forgot he's a horrible person #it just means im trying to understand where he's coming from (which obviously does not change the facts.)#viewing dennis as a person with unresolved trauma stemming from elsewhere doesn't negate the damage he is doing to other people #he's not a real person where humanizing him does tangible damage #so i am going to continue to look into shit. when i talk about the CSA he went through it's not a justification.#but it does explain his actions in a character motivation type way which is what i am interested in #seeing what makes him tick #i think most people who follow me understand this by now. but i also don't think shit we see him do constantly in canon needs bringing up.#it's the subtle stuff that ties everything together and i want to put it all together to solve a puzzle

bsd manages to do cool storylines but never quite as cool as you anticipate. when i heard there was an arc called 'cannibalism' i was over here thinking the ADA had to fight some kind of zombie infestation or smthn. well we got the vampire arc i guess?

#sometimes i think about what i thought the series was gonna be back when i first got into it and it's very different #like. i didn't realize that the port mafia was gonna be a Thing. ofc we needed villains b u t i d i d n ' t k n o w ok #i lowkey sorta shipped atsushi and dazai when i first started reading. also thought that i'd be a kndz-er but no didn't work out #i knew chuuya existed/ had history with dazai. but i didn't know what so i thought he was gonna be some ex-ada member who had a falling out #i thought dazai would be my favorite like everyone else but nah. he was always kinda just okay for me until i started bcoming a chuuya no.1 #i also was expecting yosano to like. Do More.#expectations vs reality is so interesting with bsd.

The ADA member to PM transfer will happen but they'll get their person back when Fukuzawa passes the leadership torch to Kunikida, who WASN'T the one who made a deal with Mori and hence is not technically obligated to keep that promise. Because that was obviously the plan all along right?

Episode written precisely for my personal liking #Too bad no Atsushi then it would have been perfect (╥﹏╥) At least we got his voice in the episdoe preview #Alright I **LOVE** Mitchell. This is not the space to talk about it properly but I just really like how flawed she is‚#but also in a way that results funny and endearing. And I love love love how much she cares about her family and is loyal to it!!!#It makes her so noble and virtuous. I know she has so little screentime but really the way she's so harsh and in apparence self-absorbed–#But in reality so kind and altruistic... The way her hearsh ways are implied to be only a consequence of a life of struggles and her will–#to save her family's name through a noble behavior and appearance too... It makes her so complex and multilayered imo #AND just how her innate tendency to defend people spans out of her family too!!!!#In my interpretation she did NOT care for Hawthorne or like him. But she still gave her life for him because she just instinctively–#protects the people around her. I don't have any strong feelings for haw/mitch but like how to blame Hawthorne I would have–#fallen for her right that istant too.#Now to Akutagawa. I'm really endeared by this episode because I'm pretty sure that's when I started sympathizing with / liking him :')#Like that's the moment when the things Dark Era showed us and the canon Akutagawa behavior click together and the watcher goes “Oh. OH.”#At least I'm pretty sure it was for me. It's bittersweet but especially sweet.#One more thing is... Wow bsd really has been like *that* since the beginning hasn't it. au where the hunting dogs disband and jouno and tecchou join the agency together (they both need some purpose, some sense of justice to act out and they don't know where else to go). tachihara returns and stays with the mafia, and brings teruko with him because they don't want to separate. i feel like she'd hate being a mafia agent (i know nothing about her, i haven't watched season 5 and i last saw 4 when it released) so maybe she just lives with tachi. i wonder what jouno and tecchou would do if they were on a mission to stop the mafia and encountered tachihara again....

ANYWAY

first i’ll talk about teruko. i do not see her going into the mafia however i can her sticking with tachihara. i wonder if it would create some sort of tension or if they’d just let each other live? hmmm i’ll have to ponder that idea. i do 100% see tachihara going back into the mafia though, he found his place there.

jouno and tetchou joining the ada would be really fun i think. i could see maybe some tension due to what happened in the whole "dogs hunt dogs" episode, however since it was a misunderstanding i can see them being forgiven easily as well.

i feel like jouno would have a hard time adjusting. he has a low temper with tetchou i can just imagine how short he would be with some of the ada members. i could see him arguing with ranpo and dazai a lot. and possibly getting along with kunikida since he wouldn’t be an ass.

id like to see jouno and dazai talk normally though. their pasts parallel each other a good bit! i feel their conflicting morals would make them not particularly get along however it could make for some interesting interactions. i will go on about that in another post eventually

i feel like overall jouno would rather stick to tetchou as well as anyone who will treat him as a superior instead of the others.

as for tetchou. literally all i want is for him to mentor kenji. like they’re basically friends now, they’re similar in morals/principles, and are both very direct with everything they say/think. that combined with them having similar physical capabilities i could see tetchou training kenji well and taking on a mentor/older brother figure.

i also feel like kunikida would like tetchou. he’s very direct and i doubt he’s a disruption, they’d get along well.

in contrast i feel like junichiro would probably be intimidated by him. not sure why, just how i feel.

i also don’t think dazai would have much fun with him, since he probably isn’t easily bothered by the silly antics dazai likes to do.

unfortunately i don’t know how this would work if the hunting dogs require surgery to live still. jouno and tetchou would probably be fine since they’re still affiliated with law enforcement but tachihara would likely die. that’s a post for another time i suppose.

OH! and encountering tachihara. huge angst potential here that sounds really hard to do. i could see them trying to bring tachi back since he has proven himself to be good before? i don’t know if it would work but even tachi said before the hunting dogs weren’t bad either. he just needs a place to be himself

but anyways i really like this idea!!! i love imagining how the different characters would interact w/ each other :)

Charmed (1998) rewatch but only seasons 1-3 and then treating the season 4 premiere as an open-ended finale 🤷🏻‍♀️

#charmed #charmed 1998 #charmed wb #i remember what comes next all too well #honestly I am sorry to miss out on some of the phoebe/cole scenes of early s4 when they were still fun #but i don't think i can take the s4 plotlines again let alone the reminder of s5 looming #going back as an adult is fascinating though #1 - so much of the fashion is back in #season one especially #also wow preteen/early teen me was really oblivious to fashion though i did wind up thinking leather pants = cool from what i absorbed then #2 - i can absolutely see the change from the original showrunner and really wish i knew what constance m burge intended next #3 - the inconsistencies. the inconsistencies #not just the mythology they were making up on the fly #(how long are you a ghost v moving on to next life since past lives are a thing but also visitors from the afterlife etc etc)#but the timeline #how old was phoebe when victor left (thank god they recast victor absolute glow-up)#why did leo have a past life in the 20s when he should have been already growing up #cole refers to 'mornings waking up next to you' about his ADA apartment when it's very pointed that he & phoebe only hook up there once #4- fascinating how sex is treated in the early seasons v the latter #(it went over my head back in the day but) they very much make clear which boyfriends they're sleeping with v which they *aren't*#(i.e. they spell out that prue only sleeps with andy once & never with jack & that piper never sleeps with Josh etc)#5 - biggest mistake the reboot made was doing the half-sister storyline in episode 1 #it gave them no wiggle room when a sister DID leave the show but #more importantly you lose the original grew-up-together-push-each-others-buttons dynamic that is so good #not many siblings shows on that level (supernatural is the only comparison coming to mind)#6 - I'm so Team Cole still #talk about dropping the ball on character - his half-demon backstory motivated by saving his father's soul is great actually AND DROPPED #still about phoebe/cole but the prue and cole dynamic makes more sense knowing they were dating IRL #and shoehorning in paige out of the blue distrusting cole mid s4 as replacement for that dynamic just will never work for me #anyway as my sister is now my roommate in the old house we rent Charmed (early seasons) hits different and holds up better than i expected!

EPISODE 44 REPORT

i... am not proud of my reaction to chuuya showing up. he said "you fucked up detective agency!" and it cut to the prettiest man alive and i gasped, folded in half, and started hyperventilating. my roommate stopped showering just to make sure i was okay. my face was supposedly exceedingly red and i from how how my face and shoulders felt i believe it.

anyway! i think chuuya can supersede dazai on my list of favorite characters. i think he earned it.

#i also fucked up my knitting bc when i folded over i pushed 6 or 7 stitches off the needle and i'm not sure i put them back on correctly #i missed him a lot okay?#i looked up what episodes he was in and the wiki said he only showed up in like 3 more episodes and i got sad #i was also getting upset because i didn't know how the ADA were going to get out of their situation #and then chuuya - the love of my life - shows up with the first f bomb in the show and his beautiful hair blowing in the wind #so yeah i got really excited #maple watches bsd #this show has made me cry more times than anything else in a while (this is a good thing)#chuuya

Did go to the zoo

It was fun but I almost got stuck in a ditch bc I was going downhill on a brick path and it slanted into a lovely little ditch and had to abruptly stop myself and wait for my mom to come wheel me to level ground 😑

They even had an ADA pathway! Which was up a VERY long hill that was steep as shit and full of turns. Like my mom and cousin had to switch off a couple times pushing me up hill which ngl was kinda embarrassing... oh and the other path, which we went down, basically same fucking shit just less turns 😑😑😑

And it was raining off and on all day which wasn't so bad when it was a drizzle but when you cant hold an umbrella and wheel, you end up holding the umbrella for two people and that ends up soaking your exposed legs and shoes

But it was funny to see the animals that did not like the rain hiding bc the condor was in his little hut and he was staring out like 😒 and staring at us like "what are you freaks looking at?"

And the jaguar who was under her little hide looking up at us like 🥺 "it's wet..."

We did get to see penguins (Humboldt penguins, which don't mind warmer weather! They were enjoying the day and playing), a saggy boobied gibbon mom and her itchy assed son, and vine swinging mate, HUGE lionesses up close! They were right by the glass and they're SO BIG! and an otterly adorable and very photogenic river otter who kept doing laps by the viewing window and would swim right up to the glass, turn to show his belly, turn and belly roll, turn and then come back around again, like they had this down pat! And we saw him following our fingers and so we moved to the land part to see if he'd follow and he did! Then tried to get in the zoo keeper doors and then left sggdgdgdgd

So overall I did have fun even if it was uncomfortable at times with my cousin (I'm usually a huge chatterbox when I'm with people I'm comfortable with, i was pretty quiet), and if the zoo wasnt as ada accessible as promised, and if the gift shop sucked aside from the plushies (but the staff were very nice and the one working on a display moved his cart for me when I was coming around where he was, which was nice bc I was more than happy to go back the way I had come in from)

I dont think I got many good pics bc the rain + it's hard to get pics when you're wheelchair height, but I'll check them later and see if any are worth sharing

#marquilla #so overall good for what i would have missed had i stayed home #but i dont think we'll be coming back sgdgdgdgd our zoo is much much better #they didnt even have elephants... like is it a trade off? you can have elephants or penguins? i know the Pittsburgh zoo has both #we were all a little peeved ab the ada thing sgdgdgd like we were joking that it was like that pic where it's a 'wheelchair accessible!'#sign on a flight of stairs sgdggdgd like god might as well have been that fuck #OH and there was a red panda and every fucking time id try to get a pic of this shit it would go back to sleep or look away agdgdgdggdgd #it happened like 4x it was so funny like come on man and the gibbon was hard to take pics of but the baby came up when we had made our #way up the 'accessibility' ramp and he was like !?!? bc he had just seen us below shdggdgdg then he went back to swinging #we also saw a tank that had a bunch of fish and a sign and we were like okay i see the fish and the turtle but i dont see the birds or the #stingray?? yeah the stingrays were blended in looking like rocks GAGSGDGDGD i was like oh we'd be so dead in the rainforest my god

#not bc i hate him!!! i absolutely adore that guy #but if he died it’s gonna be sm funnnnnnnn #esp if fukuchi also dies #i love you middle aged divorced gay ppl </3 #but seriously like it’s clear this arc is abt changing the status quo in many ways #and that things aren’t going back to how they used to be #and asagiri went out of his way to establish kunikida as the next president when it wasnt strictly necessary #and it’d be a good way to introduce character development for most ada members #plus i’m so so curious to know how much his ability actually affects everyone #tanizaki mostly tbh but kunikida too #bc it’s so strange how he supposedly has to use specific type of paper that makes no sense #if this was the case how did he even figure out he has an ability??? we know his notebooks are expensive and hard to get #but most importantly atsushi will have to deal with the tiger on his own and let’s be honest that has to happen at some point #idk i just want this arc to end with a bang #and since i’m not 100% sure fyodor is going to die just yet (bc he pretty much has to at some point) this might be the way to go #txt.

My current mod setup for RE4R (which is currently on hold because BG3 but I will go back to the game because I can't live with myself if I don't beat it on Professional) has Luis and Leon in Romantic outfits as well as Ashley and I'm just thinking about Vampires being real and Leon being heavily trained and sent by the president to get his daughter, muzzled and broken to be subservient, only to meet Luis, a "free" vampire who is tying up loose ends before leaving, and the tension of not only being non-vampire Ashley in that scenario, but also between Leon and Luis about their shared and heavily different circumstances around their curse.

Anyway this is a cabin trio scenario.
