🤭 I decided to start MasterPiece’s Victoria again purely for the sole reason of it being a favorite of mine and secondly because I haven’t seen it in quite a while. (Not to say that the historical inaccuracies don’t make my eyebrows raise a bit but nothing is ever perfect is it?😂) and I can definitely imagine the parallels between Victoria and Albert and Leonor and Alix 😂

1) The language barriers when it comes to talking in their native tongue. 😂😂 English is the preferred language that Leo and Ali speak. Expect when Leonor is like, “say something in vologarian” and Alix is like “but why it’s such a boring and harsh language?”

2) the phrases. Now this is something I know Sofía would constantly tease Alix about for as long as they live, Alix would say a phrase, but it’s all said with a very heavy thick accent, given that she went back home for a few weeks and she’d be like, “what is that saying you use here?” She’d snap her fingers and immediately say, “ah! Do not put your chickens in one basket”. Leonor would find it endearing and just die at the accent, but Sofia would end up giggling, we’re talking on the floor dying of laughter. Then the teasing. “Oh yes Leo! We wouldn’t want to put our chickens in one basket”. Alix with a slightly confused face, poor thing really thought she had gotten the phrase, “is that not how it is pronounced?”

3) I imagine Alix as being very scholarly, to the point where she would involve herself in charity that involve high levels of maths and even talk for hours with Mathematicians. Sofia would just love that. “So what did you and your math buddies talk about today?”

Also not sure if Alix is also in canon a descendant from Queen Victoria but i can just imagine all the girls, Alix, Leo and Sofia eating their ice creams on the palace grounds and Sofía just says, “don’t you think it’s odd how you and Alix are basically like sixth cousins removed once?”

Alix: suddenly I am no longer hungry

Leonor: that also includes you sofi

Sofia: true but it affects you guys more. With me it’s only odd but with you guys it’s slightly terrifying

I’m so sorry if this was long and I hoped you enjoyed it at least 😂❤️ maybe it is because their both “German” in Alix’s terms but I totally see Alix and Albert having so many parallels, especially Tom Hughes Albert. ❤️❤️ much love to you and 🇪🇸 you guys honestly bright my days with your wotc headcannons and your amazing blog.

OMG THIS IS PERFECT!!! 😱🤩😍 I honestly feel like both Alix and Leo are so alike and fit both personalities of Albert! Leo had the sweetness and kind heart of him and Alix has the fiery and helpful side! Also Sofi has a lot of similarities to Queen Victoria (when she was younger ofc 😂) ! Her funny and playful side and the bold, stubborn, and adorable side! So many parallels!

Someday someone has to remind me to do a comparison of WOTC characters to real life old royals. Definitely not now because I have ALOT of asks to go through!

I feel like one of the only times that Leonor feels left out when it comes to Sofia and Alix, in this case her being the third wheel was that one time Sofia and Alix and Leonor went to a football match for the Paris Olympics.

Leonor knows a great deal about football, she's played in matches as a kid (this is based of the fact that Leo did play football at Santa Maria early on but decided to pursue cello instead) she enjoys the game, even wears the jerseys they provide the group with. But she starts to think it's a little unfair when Sofia steals her seat next to Alix because as the youngest Borbón quotes *I need my football support buddy if I am to make it out of this match"

So Leonor ends up sitting next to the three security guys while Sofia and Alix nearly die every time a goal is made. They hold onto each other like toddlers and practically scream so loud that even the security guards inch back in their seats just a bit. I imagine them to be like Felipe and Letizia when Spain won in the Olympics I am not sure if you've seen the pictures.

On the way home Leonor is waiting patiently for both her sister and her girlfriend who had to use the bathroom and she's not even surprised when they show up holding jerseys, a signed football and even more merch.

The only thing that makes Leonor slightly less grumpy and tired (she’s been to a three hour game with these two screaming children) is fact that Alix got a jersey for her, specifically with a signed autograph for her. And a sweet treat.

"I know you are not so keen on football as sofi and I but I wanted you to feel like I wasn't ignoring you the whole game"

Leonor: I think the fact that you held my hand through the seat dividers proved that Ali

Sofia: you better know I love you both I nearly broke my tailbone leaning just so you two could hold hands like a lovesick couple. But also Leo Thank you for letting Ali sit next to me. We had a great time!

Alix: are you sure you mean we as in you and me and not you and Lapis?

Sofia:

But like why is this so perfect and accurate! luke would help you study in any way possible. at lunch, in the mornings, study dates going over his house. he’d praise you every time you get something right and you take frequent breaks. when you’re burnt out for the night you watch a movie or a netflix series, and he holds you close hoping you’ll fall asleep in his arms. because thats how he knows you’re most comfortable and when you sleep the best. he’d mutter how you’re gonna absolutely kill it, and you studied as much as humanly possible without dying. the morning of your finals he’d bring you some pancakes ellen made for the boys that morning, or he’d invite you over extra early to eat breakfast with them. right before you go into your testing room he kisses you, wishes you good luck, and slips you a little note to open after the test telling you how proud he is of you.

I had this thought today..and just had to send it to you. A whispers of the crown thought. I was listening to ‘crazy little thing called love’ and I just thought of this scenario. I imagine that Leonor is cooped up with a lot of things to do, and Alix gets roped in to going to a party with Sofia. I can just imagine Alix’s eyes going wide as soon as Sofia asks if she will go with her 😂😂 she’s like “my schedule is currently fixed at the moment” and Sofia just walks out and is like “be ready by twelve” 😂😂

So they end up going and Alix is a little nervous because almost everyone there is Spanish and she has no knowledge of anything other than a few basic words and phrases. So Sofía just keeps her close. I can imagine Alix has a nice time but then ‘crazy little thing called love’ and Sofia immediately grabs Alix’s hand and she’s like “will you dance with me? I don’t want to dance by myself” and Alix is all grumbles but Sofia drags her to the dance floor or whatever designated area is the dance floor. I can just imagine Alix standing in the middle of the dance floor, unmoving 😂 and Sofia just trying to make her laugh by doing all these crazy dance moves. Till finally Sofía starts singing and she’s like “there goes my baby-take it away Ali!”

Alix singing in a monotone voice: “she knows how to rock and roll…she drives me crazy” *proceeds to dance as slow and steady as she can*

Sofia dying of laughter.

I think after a few minutes Alix would let loose and eventually have a grand time dancing. Plus I feel like Sofia and Alix are such a dynamic duo. 😂

I just know that Alix knows that Leonor absolutely detests champagne (this is heavily based on the gifs that we’ve seen of Leonor being like “what is this!”) and every time they have state dinner at the volograd royal palace Alix always insist on having wine for the toast 😂 Leonor notices and just thinks it’s the sweetest thing that she would make such a small little change for her. Cue Sofía being like

“Oh Leo why are you crying?”

Leonor: She changed the drink for me Sofi!! 😭😭

Sofia: can you fill me in a little more?
