To Ali: CONGRATS FOR GETTING 200 FOLLOWERS DEAR ALI! I know we, as in the Picnic Gang and the Safe Space kids, have been preaching this, but you really are a person that is valued in the group. You might think otherwise, and I can literally hear you scream falsehood at me. However, you are worthy and loved. The appreciation post I made about you? No matter what the number is currently, know that those numbers don’t mean anything: what really matters is that there are people who think about you and care about you. People who love you for who you are despite of what you think about yourself. I guess that was the lesson for the whole post: to prove that you are worthy of love.

To those wondering about the art: I made the sketch on my sketchbook as well as the lettering! Then I worked on it digitally afterwards on my phone as usual. I really can’t pick the best part... but the most arduous part was the lettering. It’s quite surprising, but trying to find the perfect balance of Dramatic and Sticking To The Original was definitely very hard. Hopefully I found the right balance?

This style is so familiar... why is it familiar? No clue.

Also, drawing Janus is self-care at times.

Apparently i’m the leader of the group (still no clue why), and we need one of these posts, so here it is!

What is The Picnic Gang™?

We’re a group of teenagers who met over tumblr and just ~clicked~. We’re now each other’s famILY, and we wouldn’t have it any other way! Most of us are members of the LGBTQ+ community (so exclustionists DNI!!).

Watercolor Study: @barely-gettin-bi aka Ali!💕

This is ALI, one of my pals from The Picnic Gang™ ( @ask-the-picnic-gang ). If you do remember one of my posts of Ali telling me I’m mean because I’m not telling her something, this is the something! (it was a surprise hehe) I had so many things to do for no reason after telling her that I was doing it, but today, I had some time, so I did it!

I used watercolors for this... well. Watercolor. I only used the color red that I had to work with values and contrast. I started out with using pencil, darkening and thickening with the pencil, and going over the entire drawing with watercolor with different values. I layered some parts and darkened some other colors, and I was done! Afterwards, I just put on the white gel pen for emphasis (and freckles).

Also, DOESN’T SHE LOOK GORGEOUSSS 💕💕 WE STAN HER!!

Beaches and Eyes for the aesthetic ask!

Hiya Owl!

Beaches: if you had to dye your hair, how would you dye/style it and why?

Ooo! So I'd probably dye it at the tips, but like the bottom 25% of my hair. It would be red, and then fade to purple! So my hair would be a black to red to purple fade! I really love those three colors :D

So the I'mma make this a slightly long answer cuz I really like these questions lol.

If I had to pick five people, I'd pick...

Those were the first people that came to mind. So an excursion. Wow big English word I do not know, I had to search it up. So an excursion is "a short journey or trip, especially one engaged in as a leisure activity". Fun! Well, I am absolutely not an athletic person, so no long hikes or anything of the sort. But a park would be fun! Maybe one with a couple of trails and a great place to have a picnic! We could all walk and hang out for a bit, and then have a picnic together. That sounds very fun, to me at least!

1. How caring and wonderful fae is. Fae really is so caring and amazing, and fae has always been there for me when I need faer to be.

2. Faer art!!! Faer art is awesome and you really should check Ali (aka @/barely-gettin-bi ) out! The style is awesome and the colors are so nice!!!

3. Ali's cosplays! Fae does awesome cosplays and they're so amazing! I love them all so much. You look great Ali!!💜

4. How funny fae is! Fae tries to pretend fae isn't, but fae really is. Fae makes me laugh a lot, and I appreciate faer so much.

Well, if I'm talking about Ali, might as well @ her. @barely-gettin-bi :D

Ali is such a wonderful friend. She's so kind and sweet and wonderful and funny. She's absolutely gorgeous too, I don't know why she doesn't see it. Like.... Every time I see her it's just "*low-key gay panic holy crap how is someone that cute*"

Also she's super wonder and amazing. Like.... She's always there for me when I need her, and just... Talking to her is nice. I very much enjoy our conversations, and it wouldn't be the same without her. Alison is also crazy talented at art. Her artwork is simply marvelous, and needs to be appreciated more. Like.... They're so amazing.
