Photos 3 and 4: Also, in 1913, Igor Sikorsky built his famous bomber aircraft, the "Ilya Muromets," which appears in the two pictures above. The Imperial Russian Airservice: The beginning of Military Aviation in Russia during WWI

“What next!?” Whenever I look at the picture directly above, I can "hear" Nicholas II thinking just that, with respect to his cousin and brother-in-law's interests, actions, and experiments.

Grand Duke Alexander (Sandro) Mikhailovich was a restless man of many talents and interests. Although he pursued a Naval career, his major contribution to his country and rank may be his role in the creation of the Russian Military Aviation School and the Imperial Russian Air Service.

Sandro had followed with interest the increasing sophistication of aircraft and their use for military purposes. And by 1910-1911, he was probably bored with Cannes, Biarritz, and growing seedless tangerines in the Crimea. The time was ripe for him to embark on a "project." Because of his proximity to the Tsar (he was his second cousin once removed as well as his brother-in-law, and one of the few Grand Dukes Alix got along with), he had access to the Tsar's ear (historians are still debating whether he used that access to the best advantage of his country or merely to his personal advantage.)

So Grand Duke Alexander Mikhailovich filled a need by helping create the Officer's Aviation School near Sevastopol in 1910 and later becoming the Imperial Russian Air Service chief during the First World War. Alexander held the Imperial Russian Air Service Field Inspector General position until the Bolsheviks relieved him from his duties.

At the beginning of World War I, the Imperial Russia Air Service had the largest air fleet in the world. It would be interesting to find out what happened.

Aleksi - she smells like danger and bleeding duty. Objectively, he is impressed by her talent and her self-control. He also knows how misogynistic demons can be so he admires even more her dedication to her work, how her ambition always drives her farther and farther. Slay queen, show them who's the boss here. Your weaknesses can become your most lethal weapons, don't hide them.

That being said, even if they'd enjoyed each other's company, Marion still can't trust her completely.

She's a demon after all. Even if Aleksi is a supreme depiction of dark feminine beauty and Marion knows his sister would fall head over heels for her. To be like her... Distrust and strong ideologies have been implemented in his brain since forever. He appreciates her dry humour, her blazing confidence and her complex silences - but it'll take time for both of them before they build real trust. Before they truly open up.

I'm certain they'll become drinking buddies though-

Cyra - an old Hollywood siren who lived long enough but whose heart still yearns for the distant memory of a forgotten land.

Water signs make his heart go high. Her adventurous side, her love for art, for cinema and theatre are something he looks up to. + Her curly hair is a yes for him.

He doesn't mind her secretive and discreet personality at all. Cyra does a very good job in hiding her true nature - to the point that Marion was almost scared when he realised she was a demon. Just like Aleksi, he isn't supposed to become friends with her. He's a hunter blablabla with principles blablabla. You get it.

-but once she helped him when he had an anxiety attack at school and couldn't attend his next class. She brought him her notes - smooth, elegant cursive writing on a amber-scented paper.

The next day, he thanked her with a grapefruit soda.

Keiichirou - Oh. Finally a human.

Both immediately though 'how pretty' the first time their eyes laid on each other across the corridor. But do you think they approached each other right after?

No.

Marion spent weeks without being able to do more than just catch sight of Keii's silhouette. Either in a hurry, or just lost in his thoughts, he never had the occasion to go and introduce himself to this handsome boy - renowned around the school. How can someone be so popular that you hear his name at least once a day but he still manages to disappear each time you're looking for him? Once, he mistook Ayato for Keii because of their similar hair colour. Marion walked past the vampire and sighed.

'Hm? What's up, bigot?'

'...Nothing. Just looking for someone taller.'

Quickening his pace, annoyed, he ignored the immortal narcissist's answer.

He is way too nice, Marion thought the first time Keii and him talked together. The hunter felt like he was talking to another version of himself - full of brilliant charming smiles and poised confidence. He actually never grew suspicious of Keii's adaptative and manipulative behaviour to be honest. Maybe because he doesn't care as long as it doesn't prevent him from flirting with him. (and because he is simply...not aware of it? Come on, we're talking about Keiichirou. He knows what he's doing.)

But yes. They definitely flirt together. Nothing else occurs for the moment but their chemistry is very, very interesting to observe. The tension burns like a sun and their shared laughter chime like crystal clicking glasses. Are they friends? Something more? Something less?

I would love to write about Sarfaraz and Sai'rish when I'll learn more about them. Ready for them whenever you are dear @lovely-oh-so-lovelyyui <3

[We both made a previous post talking about both Aleksi and Irina's passion for volleyball, although in different ways. So here you have them together as a team 👁]

🏐 We know very well that both Aleksi and Irina are hard-working, extremely ambitious and quite competitive women. Having both on the same team and assuming positions of great power raises the strength and determination of the team to be practically unstoppable 💅

🥇 Despite the fact that both have dominant personalities and that lead them to take leadership behaviors, there is a quite harmonious collaboration and respect.

🏐 Aleksi is the captain of the team, she is the boat sail, the one who guides the group forward. She is the one who provides the motivation and the necessary strength so that the spirits are always afloat. She's the Ace, she is the one who intimidates the rivals every time she comes out to make her hit, Aleksi is the terror of the team 👹

🥇 Irina, on the other hand, prefers to be the one who makes decisions in the shadows, thus being the rudder of the ship. Being the setter of the group, she is the one who pulls the strings, the one who decides what moves to make to mislead the rival and thus be able to win points. In the same way, Irina's charisma helps her to know the team very well and knows very well what strategies to do and how to keep the group relationship together.

🏐 For Haikyuu! Fans, I can see Aleksi like a mix between Bokuto and Sakusa, while Irina is a mix between Oikawa and Kenma. Though, I can see their dynamic like Atsumu and Osamu.

🥇 As not everything is so nice and beautiful, although Aleksi and Irina can become an interesting and powerful combination, they end up having conflicting clashes because similar personality = opinion clashes (especially when both are of the dominant type).

🏐 Irina can become very stubborn and with a very distorted Free Will ideology, so Aleksi needs to put order so that Irina does not go over the line to take authority 🤼‍♂️

🥇 They are also not a good combination when it comes to blocking. Aleksi is much taller than Irina, and has a much bigger and stronger builded body structure.

🏐 Aleksi is like a lion and Irina is more like a cheetah due to her more athletic build. Therefore, if they don't want to have gaps in their barriers, Irina must make a greater effort to be able to jump up to Aleksi's height.

🥇 The amount of trophies and medals these two would have won though 🙄💅

Boney M. - Rasputin 1978

"Rasputin" is a song by Germany-based Afro Caribbean pop and Eurodisco group Boney M. It was released as the second single from their third studio album Nightflight to Venus. Trans-Siberian Railroad Egg (1900), created by Fabergé for Tsar Nicholas II to present to his wife, Tsarina Alexandra Fyodorovna. At this point, the railway was nearly complete, and the route was etched in silver around the outside of the egg.

The egg's surprise is a tiny clockwork model of a steam train, exact down to the labeling of each train car, the sides of which read “mail,” “ladies only,” “smoking,” “non-smoking,” and “chapel.” The included key could be used to wind the train. Author Géza von Habsburg has tried it and remarked, "the mechanism is a bit rusty, and it moves slowly but it's like a sort of old 'dinky toy.'"

The egg itself was constructed of gold, silver, enamel, onyx, and velvet for lining. The surprise was made of gold, platinum, rose-cut diamonds, rubies, and rock crystal (for the train windows).

as mentioned from their first meeting post, Aleksi thinks of Maya as the typical Japanese girl with doll-like features but they got along well over time

but despite being close, Maya rarely hangs out with Aleksi outside bcos sometimes it involves drinking 😢😢😢

but yeah they get along pretty well during missions, like they don't go blaming the other for the mishaps, they just go and fix them right ahead instead of mulling over spilled milk

another random fact is that there are missions where Aleksi and Maya end up as being assigned to opposing teams

there was even a time where Aleksi was assigned to protect a drug overlord and Karl assigned Maya to kill that man

but yeah they don't take it against each other cause business is business

they even hang out after that mission tho

and ngl Aleksi doesn't like how Maya is married to Kanato, like of all vampires, it had to be that purple gremlin

Maya is aware of Aleksi's disdain towards Kanato but ofc Aleksi respects Maya's decision since she wasn't there when the whole marriage thing played out plus she also heard something about the sire bond and it wasn't her business anyway so she was just "I don't like you being married to him and that's all I can say since I know nothing."

These are quotes from letters of my two favorite lovebirds, taken from the book "Nicholas and Alexandra: Love and Death in Imperial Russia", written by ROBERT K. MASSIE. Every time I read this book I end up with a heavy heart, either because of the beautiful relationship they had or because I end up sad because of some mistake that led to their execution in a filthy cellar.

Since I began to love this historical couple, I have searched for some visual medium to move me and although there are photos of the two of them to say the least, the truth is that there are few where they show their love since most of them are formal due to the time and their position. as tsar and tsarina of Russia, but there is almost no content that visually shows that love that is so talked about in movies, series, documents, and historians.

I have already ordered a commission to be made in search of moving me and although I appreciate the work of that friend, it is not what I was looking for while the AI, although it touched my heart, lacked that spark that would make me review in the blink of an eye what those little letters and historical information have brought me so much... Until today...

Lately I have been feeling very inspired by this couple and based on this, the beautiful @littlecarnet she has given me this beautiful gift that not only gave me what I have been looking for so much, but has also created two lethal weapons of love that killed me with a bullet, now I am dead and I write it from a heart that exploded for so much beauty.I wonder now, if they had had the opportunity to have the internet and meet this beauty, what would they have thought and done? Based on what I have read and a little of what I have done with my CH comic, I imagine they were impressed, moved, you had this upholstered to hang it in a palace like a real painting and they gave a heartfelt thank you to the artist...But since sadly they are no longer here, I feel obliged to thank this gift with all my heart and go to fine arts to demand that they expose this beauty.
