diabolik lovers modern college au general headcanons (sakamaki brothers)

• the sakamaki bros don't live in the same house, except for the triplets bcos cordelia is the only legal wife of karl in this au (she's the first wife after all)

• shuu lives in one of beatrix's old condo unit while reiji in one of karl's mini house (yeah he has that house all by himself bcos kaaaaarl)

• subaru lives in the university dorm bcos he doesn't like relying on karl (well except for christa's meds bcos she went insane and all that sht so karl might as well pay for that)

• despite going to the same university, the six of them don't cross paths often (except for the triplets and subaru bcos they like to rile him up and tease him endlessly like a torture)

• since this is modern college au, all characters are aged up (shuu is 22, reiji is 21, the triplets are 20, and subaru is 19)

• despite being the oldest, shuu is stuck in his second year bcos he kept repeating most of his law electives (he would rather slack off than pass his law course wtf and it usually takes around 4-5 yrs to finish)

• all bros were mandated by karl to take at least one business elective per year bcos they might be working under his corporation in the near future (ayato's major is business so he has no escape)

• reiji is an exception to this rule bcos he had been granted by karl to focus only on neurosurgery since "he's the only son who doesn't disrespect me" (tbh it was only a ruse by karl since he has no reasons to make reiji his heir despite him being a genius 💀💀💀)

• ayato is so famous in the university like his red hair stands out and his status as the university's most popular basketball player made him the school IT boy

• but bcos he's a varsity player, he's not often at school so he had to take weekend classes (this is also another reason why most of his exes are either girls who watched his game or they're students from other univ or college)

• his famous relationship tho was with a rich girl who's also the main dancer of a popular cheerleading squad from a rival school (ayato broke up with her due to the immense pressure of social media and her fans)

• ayato is also the eternal chauffer of his two bros like hello let him flaunt that red sports car baby (laito and kanato have their own cars; they just don't like driving that much)

• kanato studies forensic mortuary in the same bldg as ayato and reiji; the law bldg is a separate institution from them so they have no idea what shuu was doing

• except for kanato bcos he likes lounging in the music room singing scarborough fair and bcos his voice is so relaxing, shuu listens to it for free (kanato secretly hates that shuu does it tho bcos it reminds him too much of cordelia and her shtty ways of traumatizing him)

• laito is studying hotel and restaurant management on another bldg and it's the farthest one from all his bros (like you have to pass by 4 or 5 larger bldgs before you reach their institution)

• this is bcos ryoutei university has their own dedicated hotel and restaurant for students with courses related to said industry

• so yeah maya (aka my oc/kanato's s/o) sees laito more often than her own boyfriend in the campus

• laito always has exes in every course like there would be 3 or 4 girls under the same course that have already slept with him what a slut

• and yes there is a huge possibility laito, subaru, and shuu have dated the same girl bcos these three would only date the same type of girl (the pure looking one who secretly has lewd desires and digs bad boys like them)

• it was a shock for yui when she found out half of the girls from her class have slept with laito

• then laito told her he likes corrupting pure girls and toying with their minds until they become insane and dependent on him (sounds canon, no?)

• there was a time when laito dated one of kanato's professors and she ended up dealing with kanato's incessant and murderous glares every time she teaches their class. his reason? bcos "she reeks so much of that perverted laito"

• the sbros actually had this same english prof who randomly fails someone despite their intelligence bcos he likes exerting his power like that

• while some of them threaten him using the sakamaki name, kanato had to disguise as a girl and seduce the sht out of this perverted teacher (the old geezer was so hooked he just believed this girl was kanato's twin substituting for his bro bcos he was 'sick')

• speaking of which, subaru got attracted to kanato's alter ego like once upon a time he saw her daintly pick up her bag and tuck her hair behind her ear and boom heart arrows everywhere

• afterward, subaru asked kanato who was that one chick at his class with the long black hair dressing like a sexy lolita

• "oh, you mean me?"

• subaru had nightmares after that

• and yes kanato uses that info to blackmail him to do his bidding

• "if you don't do what I say, I'll tell everyone you fell in love with my alter ego"

• oh btw subaru's major is more on athletics? like he wanted to be a PE or sports instructor/coach in the future bcos accdg to him "fighting is the only thing I'm good at"

• his allowance is mostly spent on repairs on the dorm tho (guess punching walls ain't limited in the family house)

• the reality of his dream is beginning to weigh on him tho bcos some students are scared shtless of him and his violent tendencies

• laito became one of his students one time when he was assigned to be an assistant coach

• "waaahh subaru-kun your expression is so scary pls be gentle"

• reiji actually dated someone from ayato's class bcos her father has huge connections with famous neurosurgeons

• shuu keeps a video of one of his exes doing some cowgirl sht on him (he likes her moans that's why)

• all of kanato's exes studied in the same bldg as him; and yes, they are all from yui's course but each of them from different years and classes (he is picky like that)

• up to this day, reiji looks down on this one female classmate who dated shuu like what does she see in that good-for-nothing (well uhh his huge d-)

• accdg to both kanato and laito, yui is the loudest girl ayato has been with (kanato swore one day he'll stuff her mouth with socks until she chokes if she keeps moaning so loud while he's watching his fave murder docu series)

• ayato keeps teasing both reiji and subaru as virgins (they aren't tho; but despite their tough facade, their experiences are quite hmmm minimal so there are things they don't know)

• shuu almost dated this one classmate of kanato (almost bcos she keeps talking abt those dead people she handled with formaldehyde which is gross so he was turned off a bit)

• the triplets are usually the representatives of karl during his corporate and family parties (sometimes the other three will drop by... well mostly reiji but the other two must've been forced by karl somehow)

• there was a drunk scandal video of the triplets and subaru where subaru was driving while kanato and ayato kept making fun of him

• then kanato was video calling maya and asking her to come over and "watch a movie with him" while ayato was making delusions of aliens flying around the car, almost causing subaru to drive the wrong way

• laito was sitting beside subaru, reprimanding ayato to stop his delusions bcos there were no aliens but only flying trees (ayo what?)

• there's a part 2 but this time shuu and reiji were in the car and shuu kept laughing at ayato bcos subaru's driving is getting messed up bcos of the alien shenanigans

• and reiji was crying bcos apparently all of them are going to die and also bcos kanato is finally talking "properly" to a girl (what do you mean properly he is being a pervert)

• he also said "laito has finally seen the light and started being the good son"

• yui is actually the one filming all this videos tho

She honestly tried very hard to prove that she wasn't useless to her father but no matter what she did it was never enough it hurt a lot and so she eventually pushed every single person away the thing she regretted was pushing her sister away and

Because of the neglect and emotional abuse.

She pushes everyone away and she's developed trust issues

When her sister died it hit at her emotions she was.

smart and throughout her her time and the sakamaki house she knew that all of them saw her as only a blood packet and was only waiting until she hit puberty.

But unbeknownst to them she was gathering a lot of information about them before she killed them and when she got a hold of Subaru's knife killed them all without hesitation of course it wasn't easy since some of them tried to kill her and when she finally left the house she was ready for a suicide mission but it was like that .

And after that she develops survivor's guilt because she feels that her sister should have survived not her and she has PTSD.

She was always used to being independent on herself learning how to cook read everything and.

She's never used to depending on people and she doesn't want to because she doesn't want to get attached to someone just to lose them.

When she was in the sakamaki house Cordelia tried to take her heart and possess her but she wasn't able to.

She prefers to have short hair because it's easier to deal with it and cutting her hair was like cutting her ties to the church and her father

And she used to cut herself to deal with the neglection

Although during the passing years she let her hair grow a bit longer

MORTAL DELIGHTS (Akemi and Yui, ft. Maya)

(OC of @summercreolefanfictioner )

A/N: Damn I’ve been working on this for 3 weeks… I hope you guys like it, I worked really hard on this and asked Summer just to make sure I portray Maya right. Who knows? I might write another oneshot with Maya featuring another sister. 👀

Time has passed through Yui’s fingers as she spent weeks and months in the Sakamaki Manor. It felt odd to her that she could have died so many times and yet she’s still alive… Was it because they wanted to toy with her? Or was it because of those female vampires protecting her? As if that wasn’t enough, her world turned upside down once more when that girl… the new doll-like maid who never spoke a word. Maya Sakamaki.

Not that it mattered to Yui, if anything, she was happy to have another girl in the manor, a human girl to be exact. Deep down, Yui even hoped that she could spend more time with Maya soon and they can do simple things like baking or having sleepovers in each other’s rooms. Yui kept thinking to herself as she looked through the library, trying to recall where a certain book was placed. “If I remember correctly, I think that book is supposed to be around here?” Yui muttered quietly, her hand stops at a leather book, the book was too high up and it cause Yui to stand on her toes in hopes to reach it.

Eventually, Yui just barely managed to take the book off the shelf and almost fell to the ground, book in hand. “That was close…” Yui sighed in relief, pressing the book to her chest as she tries to calm down. Curious, Yui finally opened the book and flipped through the pages, only for her to find herself confused by the contents. ‘This language… I don’t think I’ve seen this one yet…’ Yui thought to herself, her eyes darted through the letters and pictures, and she could only deduce that she did get a book about pastries.

“Bitch-chan, what are you reading? Is it something naughty~? Nfu~“ Yui could only yelp in shock as she took a few steps back only to find the fedora-clad vampire’s green eyes staring right at her, his smile seemed to grow wider as Yui grew more nervous.

Laito’s cat-like green eyes scan through the book in his hands “Hmmm? Can you even read this, my silly little bitch? The text is in French you know?” the vampire cooed towards the human, Yui could only keep her mouth closed, too scared to talk back. “French is such a beautiful language, ma petite chienne. It feels good on the tongue and pleasant to the ears.” Laito sighed in pleasure, a blush forming on his cheeks as if he were reminiscing about a lover. Yui’s pink eyes darted in different directions, her hands started to feel clammy as she continues to try and find a way to escape.

That is until Laito said something that caught her off guard.

“The way Akemi speaks gets me so aroused, till this very day. After all, that man found that pretty little thing in France and brought her to us.” Laito laughed heartily as he recalls the day, he first laid his eyes on her.

A slim body shivering on a winter night, sapphire her blue eyes were blown wide like a frightened fawn, and yet still so willing to bite back.

Yui can feel her cheeks flush with embarrassment at what the vampire had just said. Yet she couldn’t help but perk up when Laito mentioned Akemi. “Is that true? You found Akemi-san in France?” Laito gave the petite human in front of him a Cheshire grin “Why yes, she can! But my little bitch, wouldn’t you rather have me as your tutor? Think of all the fun we could have-“ Not letting Laito finish his sentence, Yui dashed out of the library as quickly as her legs can carry her before the fedora-clad vampire could be shocked at her sudden disappearance. As Yui ran across the hall, she finds herself at another vampire’s chambers with the owner of said chambers fast asleep, her long golden hair framing her face like a golden halo.

“Akemi-san”

“Akemi-san… can you help me make this pastry?” Confused and disorientated, Akemi rose from her bedsheets to look at the trembling human before her. “Hmm? Can you say that again? I didn’t hear you.” Akemi yawned, brushing her blond curls away from her face. Trying to find her confidence, Yui points at a picture in the book in her hands. “This one? I don’t know how to pronounce this… or even know what it says…” Yui mumbled in shame as sleepy blue eyes scanned the book in front of her.

“Ah, you want to make clafoutis? Why is that?” The vampire asked as she slowly rolled out of bed, adjusting her nightgown to appear more modest before the human. “My apologies, dear. You caught me at a bad time.” Noticing this, the human started to sputter, covering her eyes with her hands to preserve Akemi’s dignity as the vampire gave Yui a gentle smile. “Hey, don’t act so shy, we’re both girls here. I’ll help you bake some pastries.” Akemi laughed at Yui’s reaction while she got out of bed and walked to her wardrobe. “Do you mind if we meet in the kitchen in a bit? I still need to… get changed.” Akemi explained carefully, her hands motioning to her nightgown.

“Ah, I’m sorry. I’ll be on my way” Yui nodded excessively; her lips pursed. “I’ll try to be quick. Can’t afford you running into one of the triplets behind my back. Please don’t wander around too much.” Akemi hollered out from her dressing screen, throwing her nightgown off to the side to get her skirt and top laid on top of her chair. Yui nodded, “Ok… I’ll do my best. Thank you, Akemi-san.”

While the human made her way out of her room, Akemi gazed out of the window, seemingly lost in thought, silence fills the room. The vampire sighed, now dressed, and looked at herself in the mirror even if her face remained unchanged for all those years. “There’s nothing to be grateful for when you’re a feast for inhumane men until they spit you out.”

In the 17 years of living on Earth… Yui would have never thought she would make pastries with a vampire of all things.

‘Oh, I have to mix the dry ingredients while Akemi- san is pitting the cherries.’ Yui thought to herself as she grabbed the eggs from the tray and cracked them one by one into the bowl. ‘Who would have thought that someone like Akemi-san would cook? Actually… now that I think about it, Amaya-san also wasn’t as scary as I thought she would be. If anything, they all act more like humans.’ Yui pondered, pursing her lips shut just in case she accidentally says something out loud.

“Oh, I haven’t asked you yet. Yui, who is this pastry for? Is it for the little newcomer?” Akemi asked, her hands making quick work of removing the cherry seeds and tossing them into the nearby bin she placed beside her. Yui looked up to the taller woman beside her as she continued to mix the ingredients, “Y-yes, that’s right. I thought it would be nice if we made something for her since she just arrived…” Akemi nodded at Yui’s explanation, letting out a small hum, “Is it as a surprise of sorts? It’s just that if you wanted this as a surprise, I can’t exactly help with hiding it. None of us are.” Akemi explained carefully, recalling the fact that Maya didn’t smell like anything when she first arrived.

Before Akemi could talk more, Yui let out a small yelp which caused Akemi to stop cutting the cherries in half, her knife not leaving her hand. Across the kitchen counter stood a petite young lady dressed in a traditional maid outfit, her black hair framing her expressionless face. Sighing, Akemi placed the knife aside as she walked toward the doll-like human, “What are you doing here, little one? Is your head ok already?” Akemi questioned the smaller human in front of her, her hand reaching out to Maya’s temple.

Thankfully, Maya gave Akemi a nod and started writing on the board. “I’m fine, thank you. May I help you bake?” Maya wrote out and showed it to the vampire in front of her. “You wanted to help?” Akemi pondered carefully, turning her head back to the bowl of batter and cherries on the kitchen counter. “Well me and Yui-chan are almost done baking, you don’t mind helping us set the batter and the cherries into the tray, don’t you Maya-chan?” Akemi asked Maya, the doll nodded again and made her way to help the girls bake the pastries that were meant for her.

“I never thought you would cook, Akemi-san, this is delicious,” Yui exclaimed, finishing her slice of clafoutis. “It’s not much, I had to learn how to cook to fill my stomach, I wasn’t always living in a manor,” Akemi replied while she chewed, tasting the tart flavor of the cherries in her mouth. Maya put her fork down and started writing again, “I agree with Yui-san, thank you for the food.” Maya bowed, Akemi gave Maya a gentle smile, and patted the doll’s head, “Well, I’m glad you like it, both of you.” Maya looked up at Akemi and her eyes traced her gentle features, everything about the vampire just felt warm to her.

It felt nice.

Eventually, Maya found herself sitting in the kitchen watching Akemi talk to Yui while they pack away the leftover clafoutis. “I made extra just in case Kanato wants some. Honestly, he would throw a fit at me if he found out that we ate without him.” Akemi chuckled exasperatedly; the thought of the 4th Sakamaki brother paying more attention to her was enough to give her a migraine, never mind that he didn’t hate her as much as he wanted to kill her older sister. Despite that, Akemi found it amusing that Maya would react more at the mere mention of Kanato, even if she never saw what Maya saw in him.

The heart wants what it wants, never mind if the heart wants a man-child who promises to kill you with a spoon if his treats are not sweet enough.

“Akemi-san, do you think we can do something like this again?” Yui asked as she set the tableware aside to dry. Akemi turned around to look at Yui, she found it odd that the human remained positive despite being sent to the manor. If Akemi would recall, a normal bride would have been driven mad by despair within days and given up on finding a way out of the hell they have been placed in, it has always been that way for decades. Some were lucky to have swift deaths.

Now there’s a human that that man told his sons not to kill and another girl who isn’t even a bride. It was too strange to think about.

Nevertheless, Akemi looked at both of those humans and smiled, “Yeah, I’m sure we can bake again someday. Amaya and Asa would love to join you two.” Her response gave Yui a hopeful look in her eyes, Maya remained expressionless and nodded once more.

Despite all that, Akemi still remained doubtful that there will be a next time.

The terrifying thing about her that she can't be manipulated or forced into anything because she can see through people if they try to manipulate her she'll Point them out if they try to Gaslight her she'll Point them out.

She's learned the hard way that she can't trust people even if they're proven trustworthy she'll never trust them or be vulnerable around them.

She's maybe someone that is sweet but it doesn't mean that she can be walked all over.

She can be extremely intimidating when she wants to even manipulative if it comes to that point she won't let someone change her or force her to do something she doesn't want to do.

Many people assume her to be dumb for the way she dresses and how she doesn't have a certain fashion she follows to her as long as it's cute and it fits her then she'll wear it.

She doesn't really care what people to think but at the same time she does.

She has lots of hair clips and ribbons she likes to wear them in her hair when she wears it down

Of course she is crazy about keeping things organized so she keeps them in a certain place either in boxes or on a certain Shelf and.

She likes to put her hair in different hairstyles like buns pigtails braids but when she's feeling unmotivated she just wears her hair down.

… She’s not a ghost, right? || My OCs meets Maya crack fic tee hee

At long last!! My girls get to meet Maya the vampire doll! (OC of @summercreolefanfictioner). Lmao this took longer than I thought-

•Well, the way they first met Maya was… eventful to say the least. Asa was just minding her own business when Reiji asked her to get some groceries with Akemi and Amaya since the chicken that was meant for dinner was frozen solid and it would be too soggy to cook when it thawed.

•Asa complied and rode the family limousine to the grocery store. While Asa was doing grocery shopping, her phone rang and she picked it up. The caller turned out to be Reiji and he had her list down at least a dozen more items to buy, including cherries. He didn’t even have time to give context before he hung up on her before she could ask.

•It struck as something odd to Asa, since the kitchen had enough food for 10 people, including Yui. Nevertheless, Asa complied and hoisted three grocery bags up the limousine, and headed back to the manor.

•By the time Asa entered the manor, Amaya and Akemi helped her with the bags and placed them on the kitchen counter.

•Unbeknownst to Akemi and Amaya, Maya entered the kitchen to kind of help them. Asa was the only one who spotted Maya but mistook her for a newly formed ghost while Akemi and Amaya had their backs turned.

•All three of them couldn’t smell Maya so the vampire doll was almost left unnoticed… until Akemi and Amaya heard a thud.

•Asa had to learn that Maya was alive by… accidentally hitting Maya’s head with the refrigerator’s door. Twice. Nothing scares Asa much since she had to see ghosts in all forms for decades… but this incident made her let out a blood-curdling scream of pure unfiltered terror.

•Asa ended up hoisting Maya on her shoulder and took her to the living room to inspect her if she got any serious injuries. The sisters breathed out a sigh of relief when Maya wrote out “I'm okay.”

•Eventually after the fiasco, Reiji was able to introduce the new addition to the Sakamaki family, Maya. The sisters were welcoming, like, hello? She's not a bride, she's bound to stay alive, right? Thankfully, Maya did stay alive and they all bonded together.

•Now, let’s go into detail about their relationships with Maya.

Asa

•She was initially keeping her distance from Maya because she thought the doll didn’t want to speak to her after accidentally hitting her head with the fridge’s door.

•I mean eventually, they became casual friends of sorts helping each other watch over the Sakamaki household.

•They would talk about the meals beforehand, watch over Yui, and clean together, and Asa would patch Maya’s wounds up if she gets hurt.

•Asa would catch a glimpse of Maya doing her work, it would reminds Asa of the old days where she was a businesswoman of sorts... TO CRIME.

•Maya would also see Asa in a maid outfit in some fancy-ass hotel, pretending to work there. Asa would press her finger against her lips as she smuggled the ‘laundry’ out.

•Just two maids doing shady stuff, one’s a vampire doll and the other is a seasoned veteran marksman. You know, just girly things.

Akemi

•They’re quite close, Maya would sometimes watch Akemi perform all by herself in the music room. Whether Akemi was dancing, singing, etc.

•Akemi would also try to let Maya wear her dresses, but considering their different heights, Akemi’s dress would be too long for Maya. Meanwhile, Maya’s dresses look like mini dresses on Akemi-

•Like everyone else in the manor, Maya got front-row seats to watch the pining and the romantic tension between Subaru and Akemi, and Maya was watching with so. Much. Interest.

•Maya thought that it was straight out of a shoujo manga-

•And she loved every second of it-

•Akemi would even try to talk about her feelings towards Subaru and Maya would listen so intently. Maya was almost flustered when Akemi told her that Subaru kissed her by accident in the library- (Akemi had this girl on the edge of her seat-)

•Akemi was surprised when she found out that Maya had feelings for Kanato, but at the same time she understands if Maya dates another man, they will look like Maya’s brother or father.

•Akemi 🤝 Maya (both fell in love with unhinged Sakamaki brothers-)

Amaya

•Amaya likes talking to Maya and Maya usually just listens to her while she rambles on and on about anything that crosses her mind.

•These two would read manga together and exchange different titles with one another to try different genres. It's a lovely bonding experience.

•Amaya would tell Maya about the past and the experiences she and her sisters faced in their long years of life. She even asked if Maya wanted to go to Europe and explore.

•Amaya was even curious about the dream world and wondered how her dream manipulation could come into play. Considering how she still struggles to try to peer into people's heads even when they sleep.

•It was only when Maya turned into a vampire did the sisters hear about Gilbert Feinze, Maya’s first master. For some reason, the name seemed familiar. They thought they heard that name before, but they didn't know where.

•Coincidentally, Maya found a picture amongst Gilbert’s notebooks in his old office in his hotel, it struck her as odd because Gilbert was there with another man. He had dark hair, darker eyes, and a nervous smile, his black hair seemed to have been touseled by Gibert while her master laughed at the man.

•When Maya gave the photo to Asa, she gave it to Akemi and Amaya to try and confirm the man’s identity. Their eyes widened in shock, they knew him... They even thought there would be no photos left of him but they were proven wrong.

•The man was their father, Vincent Acheron... At the back of the picture, it read the following:

May you experience the wonders and pleasure that the human world will give you and dear Felicia. Until we meet again.
