Let’s try this then...

After months of low motivation and an Instagram lacking in fresh content, I have decided to revive my tumblr page after I created it about a year ago and never used it... oops. My goal on here is to be able to write a lot more in terms of advice and my own study techniques without feeling distant- like with my formal wix blog (bye bye Inspostudy101 blog R.I.P). I have thought about also perhaps creating a weekly (if I have time ofc) “diary of an a-level student”, I haven’t seen anything like this (although I’m certain something like this exists- shout out to those who have done this) and I think it would be a nice way to post content without putting pressure on myself. If any of you have any questions about revision or life in general you can ask me here and it’ll allow me to share more of my advice with you guys since tumblr is quite known for the whole Q&A thing. This is a beta though so please be aware that this tumblr is bound to experience a plethora of growing pains whilst I learn how to navigate the site properly and create engaging posts- since my expertise is mainly Instagram- if any of you don’t follow me on there, it would be great to see you; @inspostudy101 on Instagram. Anyways, if I carry this on it’ll be a miracle, one of my favourite hobbies is not finishing things that I have started :)

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you’ve all had a good start to the week. I’m feeling so relieved that it’s finally the Easter holidays and I’m finally off school. Some of you are probably in the depths of GCSE and A-Level revision so I wish you all luck with this! It was me last year, and will be me next year, so I feel your pain. Or, like me, you may not have exams looming, but still have loads of homework!! Whatever situation you’re in, schedule in some downtime this Easter and make sure you’re not working harder than you would be at school. It’s no good this Easter if you work so hard that you burn out and then are unable to do more revision after Easter in the last few weeks before exams. ♡ 💝 》 These are some of the YouTube channels that I watch the most while studying

💞 》Some of these channels also have videos on A Levels, and have videos on all exam boards

••••••••••• To be honest, I like Cognito the most, as they have these sort of animated videos, and the videos are just super easy to understand.

Amoeba Sisters is amazing, and Freesciencelessons is literally a lifesaver (except for the blue background he uses in his videos which just annoys me for no reason)

I really can’t tell how amazing both @sparknotes_ and Mr Bruff are. They have really easy summaries and explanations on books. Mr Bruff also has these videos on writing letters, essays and etc

The Crash Course has videos on like all of the subjects, and the videos are very easy to understand

The GCSE Maths Tutor’s videos are also lifesaving, as he explains everything in a way that is easy for the students to understand

For Atomi, you have to pay to watch more videos, so it is kind of a downside, but their videos are really nice anyways

My second study tip is to make sure you know what your learning objectives are and that your notes cover them! This is really important (especially if you're studying for your GCSEs and A-levels) as the learning objectives are what the exam will test you on!
