If Aiden were asked his opinion about his relationship with Ash:

Aiden always dealt with hallucinations atleast twice a month because of his lack of sleep. His parents did get him some medicine to help him sleep, he never took them. He hated how the medication made him feel, so he avoided it like the plauge. This was his fifth all nighter he was pulling because of his insomnia. Trudging down to the kitchen, he prepared to make himself a snack. He wasn't to sure if he was gonna cook, bake or just grab something random. Searching through the fridge, trying to find something easy to make without making much noise. Ben had always been a light sleeper, and Aiden always managed to wake Ben up, who always came downstairs and forced Aiden to try and go to bed.
He found some fries that he could easily cook. Turning around satisfied with his search, he saw the eyes and a smile that he could recognise from anywhere.
A phantom
A panicked scream tore through his throat, as he threw the packet of fries at the monster in the corner. He used his hands to push himself away from the monster, who started to make it's way closer to him. His back hit the wall, he had no where else to go and the phantom was closing the space between them.
Footsteps came from upstairs, he couldn't breathe. Why was this happening? Phantoms shouldn't be here, why was it here. Swiftly, he reached for a kitchen knife and pointed towards the threat. He tried to ignore how much his hands were shaking, he saw a shadow in the corner of his eye. Oh God is there more of them? How the hell did it even get in the house, Ben normally locks the door and- Wait Ben. Oh no, Ben what's Ben gonna do when he finds out there's phantoms in the house. Should he shout for him? As much as he wanted to shout he couldn't manage to squeeze anything out, his throat felt constricted as he took in quick small breathes. The phantom just kept on approaching him, clearly ignoring the knife pointing towards it. Why? Why did it have to keep on getting closer? Why is this the way he's gonna die?
A light turned onAnd just like that the phantom disappeared. Like it never existed. He was still shaking and breathing heavily, he knows that he should put down the knife but it just stayed in place threatening the air. What was happening, is it safe now?
A hand took the knife from his hand, eyes still locked on the vacant space where the phantom use to be standing. Normally, when the hands tool away his only weapon he would've atleast flinched away, but he couldn't he was still struggling to calm down and in shock from that mysterious phantom. Ben's face came into frame, his eyes wide in shock. Did Ben see the phantom as well? Is that why he's so freaked out. "Ben." He managed to heave out, still struggling to catch his breathe "Did you see where the phantom went?" The only answer Aiden was given was a concerned and confused look. 'What happened?' Ben signed to him.
Now it was Aiden's turn to be confused. What did he mean. "The phantom." He clarified once again all he got in response was Ben's confused face getting increasingly more worried as the conversation continued. "You know the phantom that was stood over there and coming towards me." He motioned over to the space where he last saw the phantom. "You couldn't miss it." He stressed, what if Ben thought he was going insane. What if he was going insane. What would the others think if he did finally lose it, would they be sad, disappointed, concerned maybe they wouldn't be surprised at all.
'When was the last time you slept?' Ben asked, Aiden failed to understand why that was relevant to anything. "Um, like on Monday." He watched as Ben practically sagged in relief at that statement. Why is he so calm about this? There's a phantom in their house. 'Aiden, I think that it was just a hallucination' Ben explained 'There is no phantom, your safe.' A hallucination, huh. Uncertainty still plauged his mind, but he trusts his cousin and didn't resist when his cousin led him to their living room.
Ben handed him the remote as he left the room. He started flickering through movies on Netflix before finally settling on Tangled. Once, Ben returned he placed a blanket over Aiden as he settled beside him on the couch. Aiden subconsciously began to lean on Ben. His body felt like it had bricks tied to it, the events of the night left him exhausted. After a while, the movie became white noise in his ears and Aiden felt himself drift off to sleep. He is safe here with Ben. He is safe.

SBG Hunger Games AU
Tumblr media
Ashlyn, forced to survive and take on a leadership role she never wanted in the rebellion. Her parents teaching her to survive as best as they could in hopes that she could protect herself if she ever got hurt and refusing to let her put her name more than once for the reaping no matter how hard things got, only to watch her name get picked out of hundreds of others and not being able to do anything as their only daughter was thrown into a death tournament for the amusement of the rich and powerful. Ashlyn doing her best to survive the games and resenting Aiden for stepping all over her boundaries and poking his nose into her business but slowly learning to love him as time goes on. Her being forced into the arena of her nightmares a year after she and Aiden got out, knowing only one of them would walk out alive this time and she wanted it to be him. Her losing him despite doing her best to try and keep him alive.
Aiden, so hopelessly devoted to a single girl it destroys him. Aiden, the son of the mayor and his wife, whose cousin was reaped just two years before him, losing his voice and passion for singing in the process. Him watching the girl he liked (and was kinda obsessed with) get chosen for the games shortly before his name was pulled and finding it vaguely ironic because he'd always wondered what it was like to die but he'd never really expected that he would die this way. He was always testing the boundaries with the peacekeepers, seeking out dangerous things that he knew would get him in trouble. Aiden, who already knew what the outcome of the games would be because he would make sure of it himself-- make sure Ashlyn would come home even if he didn't. Him watching as she offers him the berries-- both of them go home or neither of them go home-- and falling in love with her all over again. Him volunteering for his cousin and swearing to make sure Ashlyn will be the only one to walk out all over again because he knows they won't get lucky again this time.
Ben, big and charming with a love for singing that helped him get sponsors when he was reaped, having his throat heavily damaged during the games by one of the careers. He beat them to death in his anger and his throat was fixed by the capitol but it was forever changed and artificial and Ben hated the sound of it so he never spoke or sang again, getting angrier and more defiant of the capitol until his family's home was burned down and he realized the capitol would kill them at any time if they wanted to. So he kept quiet and remained on his best behaviour, letting his hatred and anger fester inside him as other kids were reaped and then his cousin, his reckless stupid cousin was reaped and Ben knew he would die in that arena while he could do nothing but stand there with clenched fists and poisonous rage. But Aiden survived against all odds and there were whispers of rebellion and Ben began to hope-- until the victors are reaped and Aiden volunteers for him despite all his protests and he is forced to watch from the sidelines all over again, hoping that Jasmine and District 13 can extract them all from the arena in time.
Tyler, hardened and angry from loss, clinging onto the family he has left and volunteering as tribute when Taylor gets chosen so she never has to fear for her life only for her to get chosen again the next year as a punishment for his own defiant nature. Taylor, who manages to survive her games, watching her brother continue to suffer to protect her from the darker sides of being a tribute. Marianna, a victor who had a mental breakdown after the capitol killed her husband, watching her children go through the same trauma she went through and not being able to do anything about it. Tyler and Taylor being pulled back into that nightmare arena and Marianna volunteering for Taylor and dying in the arena to protect Tyler in the only way she could. Taylor, helplessly watching from the sidelines as her mother dies and falling apart at the seams when she realizes they didn't manage to get Tyler before the Capitol got to him.
Logan, intelligent and kind despite all that he went through, managing to get through his games by being underestimated and hiding with the career pack. His parents watching as he used their knowledge of botany (and drugs) to survive in a forest landscape where tributes from District 3 would generally struggle to survive and coming home despite all odds. Him being dragged into the games all over again barely a few years later.
Ashlyn, Aiden, Tyler, Marianna, and Logan being allies in the games. Ben, Taylor and the others working with District 13 to get the victors removed. Aiden and Tyler being the ones lost to the Capitol. Ashlyn, forced to be a symbol. Taylor becoming more angry and vicious because she has lost her whole family at this point. Aiden and Tyler coming back not quite right, not fully human. Alex Laurier taking on a bit of a mentor role for Ashlyn like Boggs did for Katniss, warning her not to trust Maverick.
Ashlyn and Aiden helping each other heal, the gang and their parents coming together in the end and helping each other heal because they were still kids by the end of it all, even if they were never truly allowed to be.
IT FITS THEM SO WELL, I'M GONNA GO CRY IN A CORNER WHY DID I THINK OF THIS? 😭

(And this is simply to hold a space to say I DNFed a few books and deserve at least one book toward my overall count because of it)
DNFs and Why:
Nevermore - Neil Gaiman: This isn’t a true DNF this is a “I’ll come back to this later” but I got about 20% in before accepting I wasn’t feeling it.
Leave the World Behind - Rumaan Alam: Y’all... I read 10 pages of this and I have never hated 10 pages more in my entire life. This is the most overwritten, pretentious garbage. This is classic man writes about tits from woman’s POV writing. The narration is a disaster. The main character makes really gross observations about her teenage children. I stopped and set this down basically when her 15 year old son’s nipple hair was mentioned as she watched him from inside the house while he jumped into a pool. I... i hate this book so fucking much.
House of Leaves - Mark Z. Danielewski: This is a “Maybe Someday” because I just... I was going cross-eyed. It was so boring and textbooky and maybe I’ll want to read it another time.
Girl Gone Viral - Alisha Rai: I just.... I juuuuuuuust hated this. The characters were like... they were so boring but then the author threw like four hundred sorta character details on them and it made it more boring.

The Movie Maestro's TV Reviews: Game of Thrones, Season 4
Tumblr media
Created and Run by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss
Based on A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin
Starring Peter Dinklage, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, Iain Glen, Aiden Gillen, Kit Harrington, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, Allie Alfen, Isaac Hempstead-Wright, Jack Gleeson, Natalie Dormer, Rory McCann, John Bradley, Charles Dance, Stephen Dillane, Carice van Houten, Rose Leslie, Jerome Flynn
Well, I got my giants.
Tumblr media
GoT continues to hit it out of the park, indeed, out of the whole city, with Season 4, an interesting year of television as far as GoT is concerned. While S1 was very much defined at its core by a murder mystery plot with mounting drama, and S2 and S3 by their barreling paces (more or less--I'm looking at you, S2), S4 starts with a hell of a bang and then tapers off, giving us a similar plot structure to S1 before blowing our faces off with the Battle of Castle Black.
But first things first: the Purple Wedding. While the Red Wedding is still the more shocking and out-of-left-field development, the Purple Wedding delivers on it's own terms. After all, what other show could kill off its most-loathed character in a way that all but dooms one of it's most beloved?
Tumblr media
With Joffrey out of the way, Tywin is free to rule the realm thru the naive Tommen--and finally rid himself of Tyrion with a courtroom plot that lets Peter Dinklage fly with all the rage he can muster.
Tumblr media
In Tyrion's corner is a new character, Prince Oberyn Martell, a representative of the Dornishmen we've heard so much about since Tyrion had Cersei's daughter shipped off to them. Oberyn, played by Pedro Pascal, is a delicious character to behold, bisexual and full of vitality...and rage.
Tumblr media
In Meereen, Daenerys resolves to stay put and rule, concerned that the slaves she has freed in her conquest will be chained again once she leaves for Westeros. This brings her into the first serious conflicts she has had in her arc, against the loyal Ser Jorah, whose initial treachery she finally discovers, and against her dragons, who have now grown to become dangerous wild animals. To see the Breaker of Chains forced into chaining the only children she will ever have, it hits hard.
The remaining Starks continue to cling to whatever life they have: while Sansa finally finds some resourcefulness of her own while in the company of the scheming Littlefinger (who is revealed to have orchestrated the War of the Five Kings to his own benefit), Jon Snow takes his first steps to command at the wall in the penultimate episode, and the finest action hour the series has yet had. Seriously, "The Watchers on the Wall" is currently my favorite episode. So stuffed with exquisite violence, gritty fantasy, and fine performances, S4E9 will easily occupy a spot in my top 5 episodes once I'm finished with the whole series.
Tumblr media
My favorite arc, though, is definitely Arya's. The first episode of S4 begins with Tywin melting down Ned Stark's prized Valyrian steel, Ice, and it ends with Arya retrieving her prized sword, Needle, and enacting her first instance of vengeance. This nice bit of visual poetry sets up her best year yet, placing her squarely alongside the Hound, another man on her kill list, as she becomes the new instrument of justice in a world without the just.

It kills me that this is how Aiden was, tired but infinitely kind and supportive.
Tumblr media
Ash thought that nothing would change, but...
Tumblr media
but now everything is changing and Aiden himself is changing
spoilers for fastpass
With each chapter he looks more and more like a phantom. Body weight, aggression, facial expressions, instincts. I'm scared of what might happen to him in future chapters :(

here is the finished art! I was quite lazy when I was drawing and making lines, please don’t blame me 😋
By the way, I wanted to draw Ashlyn sitting on a chair, but then I drew her on the chair and Taylor on her lap, so in this art Aiden and Ash switched places. That art with the same reference with Taylor/Ash is still unfinished ;( Maybe someday I’ll finish it after the next art.
Maybe there will be a sequel in the form of a small comic ! ♡˖꒰ᵕ༚ᵕ⑅꒱
The reference I took from the voting in my account!
