Uhhh so I started with Midori(Sprigatito) obviously, thennn... I think I caught Grim(Gastly).. then I caught Gloria(Ralts). Thenn..... arrhrhhgh I thiiiink I went looking for eevees, but I found Anastasia(Shiny Kricketot) in the process and kept her. Then I picked one of the eevees I caught at random and kept him. Then lastly I found a Mareep(Bonnie) by surprise and kept her.

My memory is very poor but I thiiink that's mostly accurate <XDD If I misunderstood your question don't be afraid to send another ask! 😅

And yeah that's how I pictured her XDD its becuase I use her the most out of all my Pokémon-

Now she's not bossy and doesn't have a leader or "I'm better that you guys" complex, none of that! She's just very intelligent and usually very level headed and calm. I can imagine that she's gotten the team safely through a lot of complicated situations and her plans/advice have rarely led the group astray.

Plus since I use her so often, I like to think that she's one of the most powerful Pokémon on the team. If not the most powerful. So whenever the group was met with a great danger, Gloria was probably the one to rescue them <XD

So the whole group kind'a gravitates behind her and lets/wants her to take the lead most of the time. Especially when things get complicated or dangerous!

As for your question.. I'm afraid I don't understand/cant explain it--

Lets say I wanna draw Mario. I imagine what the drawing might end up looking like in my head, what pose I'll draw him in and what colors I'll use.. And then I just.. draw it. It might not look exactly like what I pictured but its probably close enough.

If that doesn't answer your question, I'm afraid I either don't understand your question or this is just an art thing that I don't know how to explain. <:( Sorry, feel free to send another ask with more specifics if you have them!

As for the Dry Bones thing, that's what I meant by "not sure how it fits into the AU yet" 😅 Who'd they fight? Why did they fight? When did this happen? No idea. Its all just a neat concept with no structure yet :// And beyond the awkward living situation with the Dry Bones today, I haven't really thought about how the Koopa culture has been changed by the war. That's just way too much thinking and I'm way too sick to bother trying to figure it out atm- 💀💔 But maybe someday I'll think it through!

Now Luigi, I had this idea that he had a bizarre encounter with a 1-UP and was later bitten by a Goomba. Over the span of say... 5 days or so..? Luigi slowly got weaker and weaker until eventually he became bedridden and actually died- He came back to life moments after but it still completely shook Mario and Luigi's worlds for a sec there-

I had intended to draw a comic about this, and I made a sketch about it in the past.. but around the time I thought of this idea my Mario phase was kind'a passing over so I didn't feel like making it- <XDD

As for a potential sequel, I would like to see Wario, Waluigi and Toadsworth. Not sure why Toadsworth wasn't in the first movie- he absolutely should have been. That deep voiced purple..? council..? toad guy?? Totally should have been Toadsworth :/

And my request for the Wario bros is that they are taken seriously. 😅🤣

Hi there, I know I’m an anon but, can I ask you something? As in, for some advice?

So basically, I have been in a writer’s block for a long time (as in years) and I kept missing writing and feeling like a big part of myself was missing. In those years I had a lot going on in my life, and got an anxiety disorder. In these past months I joined a new fandom, and I’ve been reading lots of fics of it and having lots of ideas to write, most of which were exciting for me to have and think about, but anxiety has been taking its toll on me lately and I keep worrying about worse case scenarios such as, “would I end up burning out on this thing I like if I wrote fics for the main fandom I read fics of?” or “how do people even write I’d probably be the worst writer ever in the fandom compared to everyone else”. You’re a prolific writer so I was wondering, do you ever struggle with these things and have any advice on that? Is it possible to read and write fics for the same fandom and not burn out? Or to regain motivation and enthusiasm after comparing yourself to others? (Because I guess not comparing yourself to others eventually is probably, almost unavoidable). And… do you think the worst case scenarios that we writers fear will happen, end up happening? 😅

You absolutely may! Sure, I can share my limited worldview, and hopefully it will give you some perspective :) A long ask demands a long response, so I have drafted, for your pleasure, a small essay xD

So as you ask this, it’s been almost a year since I‘ve updated either of my multichaps that I’ve got going. I’ve just watched season 2 of Tiger and Bunny and you caught me thinking up oneshot ideas for a fandom that I haven’t written for in roughly a decade three minutes before I saw this ask. Fandom devotion is fine, but not a requirement to write fic c: Burnout happens! It happens when you’ve got a lot going on in your personal/professional life, it happens when you find other hobbies you love, and it happens when you find other fandoms you enjoy.

The comparison game will sap your joy like you wouldn’t believe. There will always be someone better than you and there will always be someone worse, but no one will ever write what you write. They may write the same tropes and the same basic arcs, but no one will interpret that character or write that line in the exact same way you will. You have your own beautiful interpretation, your own unique take to bring to the table. Contentment is not a level you reach, but a daily practice. That doesn’t mean you’re not trying to get better and hone your craft, but it means you can be thankful for where you’re at while working to improve. When you get frustrated with your writing, understand that this just means you are growing and learning to see your own mistakes. It’s a sign of becoming a better writer. Take heart!

I’ve got dozens of fics under my belt, have had way more encouragement than negativity from the beautiful folks on the internet, and I still question my writing abilities every time I open that word doc. I guarantee you that the best writer you know has these thoughts too. Personally, I have to constantly remind myself that my worth does not come from my writing.

Will you be prolific? Will you be consistent? It’s possible, but it’s not a requirement! Will you love these characters and your fandom forever? Probably not, and that’s fine! It’s a hobby, not your life, and the moment it becomes your life I encourage you to step back and reevaluate why you’re here. We’re here for fun! We’re here to play and explore, to have adventures. We’re here to experience the world through someone else’s eyes and to take part in one of the oldest and most basic parts of humanity: telling stories.

What’s the worst thing that could happen if you just stopped updating? What’s the worst thing that could happen if you burned out on your fandom? The world will keep spinning. Someone will miss your updates, you might “miss” updating, someone might leave a demanding comment, but I guarantee it’s all survivable. At the end of the day though, only you can decide if it’s worth the risk.

Just be careful about where you are searching for your value, because I promise that nothing you find in fandom or in this silly world will satisfy. Worst case scenarios are unlikely, and yet, they happen all the time. But it will all come back to: why are you writing? If it’s because it brings you joy, then please write, because this world needs more joy.

So find your fandom friends and encouragers, find community. Brainstorm and role play. Write multichaps or flash fiction, write haiku or oneshots, write for one fandom or for a different fandom every Tuesday, throw out six chapters and never update again, but don’t forget to have fun 💜

This one-month-old ask is not going to win me any friends, but alas xD

All in all, once I finished the show and took stock (and after multiple rewatches for editing and writing purposes, of course): I am, in one word, underwhelmed.

I’m willing to admit part of that is on my own biases and shallowness lmao. I worried about it before we actually met him because aesthetically speaking, the actor does nothing for me (I don't just mean in terms of attraction, I'm not attracted to the guys in this show but that hasn't stopped me from adoring some of them. He just looks plain to me), but I thought maybe he’d have the energy or acting choices to compensate it and... he didn’t. Perhaps it’s only because he didn’t get a lot of time to shine, but it is what it is. I didn’t dislike him, but I don’t love him either, and I have little to no urge to speculate or develop him further than canon ever did, which, tbh, wasn’t that much.

And that’s my main issue. My dash practically sold his love story with Flint as the central, most important pair of the story and it really, really isn’t? It’s not just a matter of screentime, because there are shows where for whatever reason an important and key dynamic is constrained, like for example due to actor’s schedules, and yet in those cases it doesn’t really matter. The substance is there.

But Thomas never exists in the story for himself, and neither do his relationships: he and they always fit into a grander scheme, up until their very last moments; they always prop somebody and something else. That’s not what I expected, after how everyone talked about it. It doesn’t bother me in itself, as he and his relationships are fairly low on my lists of priorities, but after hearing how it was this Big Queer Rep Thing... they’re alright, but again: I remain underwhelmed.

As an aside, I also find the tendency to idealize him annoying lol. I don’t think Nassau and the characters we know and love there, let alone the Maroons, would’ve been better off with him in Rogers’ position.

I was tagged by @onthedriftinthetardis a while ago to answer these 11 questions. Thank you for tagging me (♥♥), I’m so sorry it took me so long to do this! I’m guessing, it is now my turn to answer your 11 questions, right? Weeelll, allons-y then!

Tropes you’d like to see more of?

This is a difficult question. I am quite sure I have something to say to this but since I mostly don’t really think of the things I’d like to see as “tropes”, it is difficult to think of some and even name them now. But I guess one thing I definitely like to see more often, are unconventional masculinities? You know, men who, for example, let themselves cry and are rather shy and really sensitive in general? Also, different sexual orientations or gender identities just not being a big deal. Like, they are casually mentioned and nobody makes a fuss. I’m sure there’s more but that’s all I can think of right now...

What would constitute your perfect Saturday night?

Well, obviously my girlfriend has to be there and we’d first have an unconventional dinner like fish fingers and custard and then cuddle on the couch while watching an episode of a great show or a fantastic movie. And afterwards, we discuss the movie/episode and watch some more TV. So basically Netflix and chill, but literally? :) 

What’s your favourite outdoor experience? 

There are many things I really love. Walking somewhere in nature where there is a great view, like, somewhere you can see the sea (see what I did there?) or exploring a city and walking from one amazing place right to another (like, you know, a movie/TV show locations rally) or picnicing somewhere on a meadow or near a lake... also walking around a city in a Cosplay, all the while being 100% in character... and so much more ♥

What’s one thing you want to do this summer?

Well, I am going to do an internship and I guess I also really want to do it. I also want to (or should/need to... uh) write at least two of the four seminar papers I’ll have to write for this semester, since I won’t have much time to finish them during the next semester since I’ll be abroad (in the UK)... uh. Yeah, apart from that, I guess I want to find some time to relax, some time I can spend with my friends, since I will do the internship in the city I used to live in. Many people will want to spend some time with me and it’ll be great :)

Who do you admire most? What is it about them that inspires you?

I really admire my best friend. She’s already been working on a cruise ship for half a year and she said it helped her grow out of her insecurities quite a lot. She seems so self-confident to me. She grew stronger, she is more relaxed about her future and her life choices in general. And while being so experienced at such a young age, she’s so grounded at the same time. She somehow manages stuff, she embraces challenges, they help her get out of her shell and don’t scare her deeper into it. It’s kinda fascinating to me how she combats fear and worries. And she can train herself to stop thinking a certain way. Like, when she detects a way of thinking about things that is harmful, she tries to cope by telling herself that thinking like that if of no use and to better stop thinking like this. And it works. I tried working on myself in the same way because I found her techniques so impressive. So far, it’s helping me quite a lot :)

What’s your favourite thing about your current primary fandom(s)?

Oh gosh, I dunno? The characters mostly? They are fascinating. Also, there’s a lot of fanfiction potential. Like a lot. Doctor Who for example is such a great universe (literally) and you can speculate so much. Also I love the way sexual orientations and gender identities are spoken about in (RTD era) Doctor Who. Just like it should be done. No big deal, no big drama :)

If you could take one trip anywhere in space & time and then safely return, where and when would you go?

Fuck, time and space. Uh. Damn. I guess, I’ll have to be boring and pick the 1920ies. I really kinda like that time period. Yes, I’d like to see England in the 1920ies, you know the later Downton Abbey England. I like the hairstyles and fancy dresses (at least some of them)... and I generally like England. Very much. So, there’s that xD

After a long day of work/school/life, what do you like to do to relax?

I like to just throw myself onto my bed or onto the couch and either read or just lie there and scroll through tumblr on my phone and/or listen to my Spotify songs. Sometimes, after an exhausting day, it can be the best to just lie there and stare. Just doing nothing. Dolce Farniente. 

How do you feel about vegetables?

Since I am a vegetarian, it would kinda be rather bad if I didn’t like them, wouldn’t it? I honestly like most of the vegetables I know of and I regularly eat them. I just don’t like cooked peppers or even peppers in salads. I don’t know, the only way I enjoy eating peppers is raw and pure... Hm. I really eat as good as every kind of vegetable. There is none I can think of that I really despise with a passion. I mean, I don’t eat every single kind of vegetable with a passion but I eat them. Some with more enthusiasm than others. ;)

Where is your favourite place to shop?

Uh. I could name a few shops but I don’t think they’ll be known to most of you people on here. So, let me just say, I rather shop in some pedestrian area in Italy (or wherever) than in some bigger shopping centre. Smaller shops mostly have the greater things. More unique. More special somehow :) 

Do you play any video games? If so, what are your all-time favourites?

I’m afraid I have to disappoint in this regard. I don’t play any nor have I ever played any video games, at least not regularly. I am horrible at them. Well, I did play some Lego Whatever X-Box/Wii games with my brother, those were the only ones I didn’t suck at completely (Like Lego Indiana Jones, Lego Star Wars, Lego Harry Potter, Lego Pirates of the Caribbean, Lego Batman,... come to think of it, we had quite a few...). I also like playing those classical Wii games like Wii Party, Wii Sports (Resort) and Wii Fit... I’m sorry if those don’t count, but I really don’t play anything else. I mean, I had a Nintendo DS and I played Nintendogs and some Super Mario sometimes but... I guess that doesn’t count either? Uh.

And now I have to think of 11 questions, correct? Uh... I hope you don’t mind if I simply ask some of yours again and also take some of those you were asked... I’m bad at making up questions haha

Sorry for the delay in responding to this! I wanted to wait until I got home from work so I could think about it properly. >.

2. Have you ever found a writer who thinks just like you? If so, who?

I want to be vain and say Edgar Allan Poe because I think we have similar interests and I can relate to him personally. He is my favorite author and I even have a tattoo of him on my back. But I don’t think I am as good at metaphors and such as him. Realistically I would say the closest to how I actually think is Jostein Gaarder. He wrote one of my favorite books called Sophie’s World, an experience in philosophy from the eyes of a child’s imagination and that book seemed to apply to my life a lot. I really related to the juxtaposition of the intellectual, realistic tone and the child-like creativity that the knowledge is filtered through. That kind of duality exists at my core.

3. List your fandoms and one character from each that you identify with.

Well, I have so many fandoms, but don’t always have a character I identify with in each, so I’ll just list the characters that I identify with most from media that I love. Also, some are kind of embarrassing but I didn’t come this far to be in denial xD 

Pixel from Lazytown. Alice from Alice In Wonderland. Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter. Brick Heck from The Middle. Amanda Young from the Saw franchise. Willy Wonka from Charlie And The Chocolate Factory.

9. Are you an artist?

Yes. A really good one? No. I’ve been drawing for years but I only have practice with pencil and traditional art, I’m still trying very hard to learn to create digital art with Photoshop, SAI, Corel, Illustrator etc. I’m also still struggling to find a personal style. I’m such a perfectionist that every time I draw something (usually faces, that’s what I’m more skilled at) it has to be hyper-realistic and I just get frustrated, start crying and stop drawing for awhile. I think with effort I could be very good, I’m not trying to sound vain, but I think that good art is learned rather than a god-given talent. Talent plays a role in creativity and being able to visualize what you want to see appear but technical skill with drawing is equal to the amount of work put in for the most part. Right now I am doing a challenge where I practice drawing a single bit of anatomy every day for an entire month, starting with what I’m worst at: hands. I start off using references, and then do it from memory/creation. I don’t post my art online much because it makes me self-conscious and I want to be better first.

14. Are you a musician?

No. I love music so very much, all types of genres. It plays a huge role in my life, but I am not coordinated enough to play an instrument and my singing voice is not good. Not awful, but not even decent. I wish I could sing. If I ever try to learn an instrument, it would probably be the drums. I prefer to enjoy other people’s music without the stress of having to create it, I don’t find it relaxing to practice and it doesn’t come naturally to me.

15. Five most influential books over your lifetime?

Well, as I said before, I was very inspired and slightly mindscrewed by Sophie’s World. But the most influential book in my life was probably the whole Silmarillion/Lord Of The Rings/Hobbit series because I literally became obsessed with it and still am. I guess The Rise And Fall Of The Third Reich would count as well, because it’s really what inspired my interest in history in general and Nazi Germany in particular. It is a very large book so I’ve only read it twice, the first time when I was in grade 8, the second time in grade 9 when I did my English final essay on it. I also used it for reference in my Political Science exam/essays at the end of the year during grade 12. I’m sure many people thought I was a Nazi sympathizer when I carried it around at school, I would walk down the halls reading it and it has a giant swastika on the cover. It was one of many rumors about me that wasn’t true. One of the first books I remember becoming enthralled by was a book I read in elementary school called Behind The Attic Wall. It just struck me as really eerie. One of my favorite books I own is The Complete Tales And Poems Of Edgar Allan Poe. My grandmother gave it to me when I was 11 and it sparked my love of the tormented writer himself xD And one more bonus one because I couldn’t pick just five, The Mysterious Stranger (any version, even though none are completed) by Mark Twain is the creepiest and most existentially depressing book I’ve ever read. I ended up finding an animation of it online while looking for book reviews and I was kind of disturbed.

20. Would you rather be in Middle Earth, Narnia, Hogwarts, or somewhere else?

Even though Middle Earth is my favorite, it is also very dangerous and I probably wouldn’t survive there long. I’m going to say Hogwarts, but only after the second wizarding war is over, Harry and co. have left and it is relatively safe again. There are just so many classes I’d want to take there.

Again, I have so many. This is really unfair so I’m defying the question and I’m going to pick a few v.v

Holy cannoli somehow, some way, I have been writing as Felicity Megan Smoak for two whole years now and I just cannot believe that I’ve been able to stick with her for this long. Two years, four hundred plus followers and one blog move later but here we are I seriously have been so emotional over this that I don’t know what to say besides thank you. While I have only been writing as Felicity on here for two years I have been role playing in many different fandoms for a lot longer than that across the internet, but I decided to make a tumblr blog two years ago when Arrow season three went on hiatus and of course it had to be Felicity. I pushed myself past some anxieties I had about it and well... here I am and it’s all because of you. 

So as a thank you I have a small follow forever/shout out to those that have been with me over the years here. I also plan on doing a promo giveaway in a separate post so look out for that! Stevie you and I have written together for so long now I lost count of the years and I know we don’t get to write much more together but you are alway the first person I want to go to for anything and it was amazing to have you at my wedding last year while night I wish you could have made it but you’ll just have to meet up with me some other time. Night you and I are what? three years and counting now? and our ships give me life ( and take it from me cause god do we break each others hearts so much ) you two are my best friends and I know no matter what you are here for me and I love you for that <3

@newfrequencysamecry​ - my love, my dawn, my second laurel with Felicity ever if only because you were on Avery first I just... there are no words to how amazing you are. I know we usually keep to ourselves OOC wise but you are always one of the first people to my side on here if something is going on personally and I cannot express how much that means to me. Not to mention the fact that 99% of our threads are us winging it is amazing and all cause of your talent. Usually I need to plot more in OOC with people to get my muse to respond the way they do with your characters but you are literally a role play soulmate of mine because there is no other way to explain how my muse connects with yours so easily. It’s amazing how much I love your Laurel all because of how fantastic of a writer you are and I am blessed in so many ways being able to write with you. Can you believe it’s been two years strong now we’ve been writing together in general? Part of the reason I’m still here is you.

@alwaysxlate​ - my wife. deli. satan. I have been following you since you started your Barry almost two years ago and when I first found you then I couldn’t believe this amazingly talented Barry wanted anything to do with me. I had only been a month or so old at the time of you coming around and I still had so many insecurities but you came at me like it was nothing and I am so so very glad you did. You are so genuine and kind to everyone I see you interact with and it makes me so happy to know someone like you. You have so much talent for editing, coding, and writing on top of it I can only imagine what else you are great at - gaming probably since you love your games so much XD but either way I just want you to know how much I love you and how I’m really glad we met when we did and that you did come at me because my blog wouldn’t be what it is today if you hadn’t.

@vimvitae​ - jules. the jules my awesome aussie friend from so far away. I don’t remember when we met exactly on my blog and your barry but I just remember when we did I had to write with you because your blog seemed so fun and I was write. Anything we’ve done over the years has been so fun and so amazing that I could never let you go no matter what blog you move to or what’s going on. And don’t think I forgot about that mental break down I had one night and ( granted it was because it was daytime for you ) you stayed up with me and talked me through it because I haven’t and even since then, heck just recently, you’ve made it very clear that you are a safe person I can turn to if I need someone to talk to and I cannot thank you enough for that. Same goes for me, always has, and I just want to thank you so much. 

@nerffighter​ - Oh gosh Grace. Grace what do I say about you? I don’t know if it’s just me or not but you have this way of just making me feel happy no matter what. I bet anyone around you can feel that energy because I can feel it through a goddamn computer screen ( and snap chat ) that you have such a positive energy and whenever we talk you always make me smile that stupid kind of smile that people get when looking at their screen and I bet that’s why you write Cisco so well because he’s like that too. It’s a perfect fit. I also don’t remember when we followed each other but my god I was shocked when you followed me because holy cow so much quality from you and like negative quality from me should never mix but you always make it seem like we are equal in amazingness and I thank you for that darling!!!

@the-queenfamily​ - You were another one of the first blogs I interacted with and you honestly have put up with so much of my shit I don’t know how you stuck around. I know I’ve gone up and down and back and forth with our stuff but you’ve always been so patient and kind to me thank you so much. I love your stories and writing and I can’t thank you enough for helping me grow my blog you have. You helped me become a better writer I feel since we’ve stuck with each other so long so thank you so so much.

@theoreticalguardianangel​ - Oh gosh... the real grant gustin ( kidding !!!! <3 ) but for realz I wish I remembered the exact point you and I clicked but I feel like we’ve been writing for so long there was never a beginning that we’ve been writing since birth together because of how perfectly perfect it flows ( see what I ddi there XD ) you put up with my angst the most I feel and I love it. I love your blog and I love having you around. I am so so so glad you came back because I don’t know what I would have done without you now. You sometimes make me feel like I should just make our barricity verse my main verse and all my other verses AU’s from that cause it’s just.... perfect. @mancnfire​ - fun fact I am writing this right after reading the drabble you wrote me XD and can I just say you are an amazing writer? This is all for fun yes but you are such a good writer it must come naturally to you. I am so so glad that you and I started writing together because I just really always liked Mick and the dynamic we have is so fresh and unique that I love it all. You are always so fun to talk to as well and so nice that it has been a pleasure from day one to follow you.

@herciism​ - Bae, you really need to get it through your head how awesome you are and how you are not allowed to leave me. I know we have so much stuff but I can’t get enough of writiing o.licity with you and just talking with you when we get the chance too. You are so talented and have so many ideas I can barely keep up. Keep being amazing :) 

@winniisms/ @geneticiism​ = yoooo!!!!!!! I don’t know why it took us so long to start interacting but the fact that it did was unacceptable. I feel like we make up for missed time though in the amount of threads we have had since we started writing though, or at the very least it’s a start haha. @tofindthemall​ - I don’t even know if I can put our friendship into words because for real you were one of the first long term Oliver’s I found just about two years ago, I met you last year around this time face to face, you have such a kind heart and amazing personality that it’s infectious and don’t even get me started on your writing. You are now the Newt to my Tina and one of my best friends on here. I love every Aussie thing you tag me in on facebook and it’s great to know if I ever need you that you have been there. From my personal first because of Swanchester and then I found you from there to here where I got the pleasure of writing with you for the first time and I just love your Emma. You’re Emma simultaneously kept me from making my Emma AND encouraged me too if that makes sense? Thank you for all the plots we did with Felicity and Harrison and helping me with a earth 2 felicity verse. You are truly amazing and I love having you on my dash! 

@ericbrandonrp - can I just say I love love love still thinking back to how we met because of an anon on your blog? Cause like I can’t believe it still to this day that it was that simple and here we are years later still following each other. Eric is such an amazing OC and I love the dynamic him and Felicity have.
