The crew of the Vingilótë are:

Falathar, a young Noldor refuge from Nargothrond.

Erellont of the Avari, son of Nurwë their leader.

Aerandir of Doriath, daughter of Daeron the minstrel and kin to Thingol Elu.

ok. LONG POST UNDER THE CUT. i have endeavored to create a list of Every Named Character In The Quenta Silmarillion. PLEASE tell me if you think i’m missing someone, that’s why i’m posting it.

included characters: Eru, Valar, Maiar, creatures that I think are probably Maiar (like Oromë’s horse), Elves, Men, Peredhil, Dwarves, Dragons and other Creatures of Morgoth with Personal Names (given that Glaurung seems sentient, and it felt wrong to include Huan but not Carcharoth, for example)

excluded characters: anyone not in the text of the Quenta Silmarillion proper (eg Andreth), anyone referred to only by a title (eg the Lord of Nogrod), any creature of Morgoth referred to only by its type (eg the werewolf that Finrod fought)

sorted mostly by order of appearance in text, with the caveat that most humans are listed in their own section and sorted by houses because that makes it easier to keep track of them

I’ve finally figured out the general backgrounds of Eärendil’s mariner friends, in a hilariously lazy way: I basically inserted them by association into my wise-women in Sirion story in progress where I’m developing two main OCs who I’m trying to name, in a sapphic snuggle that I’m trying to create a tag for, and I was just like, hmm, these girls probably need siblings, well there you go, Erellont and Aerandir…so now their names can be Erel— and Aer—. I’m also thinking about the sad fate of the Haladin at the end of First Age and how their language seems to be lost and what happened to the few who remain and I was like hmm, what if the Falathrim raised a Haladin orphan like the Mithrim raised Tuor, well there you go Falathar…that’s how you got your name.

This art is pretty old, I think it's from around february 2021, but I noticed I hadn't posted it here before and baldur's gate 3 is out now so it seems fitting.

Here's my Tav for bg3, half-drow warlock/bard multiclass, Aerandir Stillmore :)

Had a hairstyle change for the full release since they added some new hairs, and a tattoo change since they removed this one I liked the most, so I'll probably change those up in future drawings of them.

I'm super happy the game is finally out, and can't wait to play it when exams are over.
