Hi, I’ve been sent by the oc creator bingo!
I was perusing your oc masterlist and fell in love with Bay Ackerman, so tell me everything and anything about them!
-@heresthefanfiction
help its been literal months and i'm only just now answering this... embarrassed
masquerades as the child of triton until the mark of athena, when an ocean monster outs them as being poseidon's child. idk what kind of monster tho just yet
best friend is a shark they named seagull, nicknamed gully, after baby seagull got lost in the triton's palace and accidentally wandered into their wing, which was off limits except for specific people/animals
dead name is sally and hates it for a long time bc it's yet another reminder of what they are to poseidon
has a lot of bubbling resentment towards percy bc they know that they were even more of a mistake to poseidon - triton never hid anything from them after bay found out about their true parentage, mostly bc he didn't care enough to spare their feelings, so bay knows the whole story - even about poseidon offering to build a castle for sally and percy. they feel like their the jacked up replacement for the true family poseidon wanted, especially when poseidon never tries to get close to them
spends most nights sleeping under the stars, especially when they're on the argo 2. they spent almost all of their life trapped in one wing of a castle - they crave being outside and in wider spaces. they're rarely ever in their cabin
leo and bay are the epitome of 'he fell first, they fell harder'. leo is into bay from the moment they meet, but bay is so busy learning about the surface world and learning how socializing with people other than their family works, they don't even really notice themselves falling for leo until probably the house of hades? but then it hits
struggles with fighting above water a lot for most of the first book - they've been training under the ocean and knows how to use a dagger better than most, but fighting under water is different than fighting above the surface and they have to learn how to readjust to the differences
has a rough relationship with triton - poseidon forced triton to send his daughter, evangeline, away so bay would be his child to the outside world, in case rumors ever started. triton sent her to chb to make sure she would be safe, but held it against bay since he couldn't take it out on his father
aaaah i can't think of anything else atm but feel free to send specific questions!! much better with specific questions lmao

Hi, I sent you an ask a few years back and you answered! I think it was about A Study in Emerald. That was really cool thing that happened.
I'm sending you this ask because I saw your tweets about Salman Rushdie, and I was. Um. Sort of there? Like not in the audience but I work for the Chautauqua institution, about a three-minute walk away from where it all went down. I'm not sure how useful these things are to say. It's horrible that this has happened. Every half-an-hour or so I remember that it's real, like it actually really happened HERE, that something I knew about possibly before most of the people on the planet is now on international news. How in god's name did something relevant to my job end up on the front page of CNN? How did we get here?
uh. Anyway I loved Sandman. Great work with Sandman. Peace out.
I feel the same. I keep thinking, this isn't an abstract idea. This is my friend Salman, who I had dinner with after Lou Reed's memorial in 2013, who told the best anecdotes, who also knew Kathy Acker, who did The Moth with me in 2007, who sent me advanced copies of his books sometimes. A real person. Funny and brilliant and caring and dry.

"There’s a kind of on-screen dynamic you have no hope of achieving artificially. Manufacturing a fictional relationship is one thing, stumbling upon it is another, much more pleasant, thing. They simply had electricity — this was undeniable, like the answer to an equation.
One of the things that made the unexpected Root and Shaw arc so flavorful was that they're excellent characters individually. Root was defined by transience. She colored outside the lines, believing she had no future. Amy Acker’s charming hacker also had a fleeting, malleable quality because she was inconsistent — she rotated through moral codes and identities like socks. Shaw, on the other hand, was a constant. She was sure of herself and her path as a soldier — a predictable modus operandi of working the numbers and keeping teammates alive. The odd attraction between them lay in those fundamental differences. Shaw, a solid brick wall, found chaos seductive, and Root, who weaved in and out of the story like a quirky ghost, was intrigued by bluntness and walled boundaries. Unstoppable force meets an immovable object… you get it. They brought out the best and worst in each other."
Hello, y'all! My free Substack (which as of right now is entirely POI blogs) needed watering and I needed to get my Shoot rambles out of my brain.
This is the result. Like my Root essay, this is a long read and spoilery. In this, I explain why Root and Shaw were absolute dynamite together and how POI executed a memorable romance with a lot of hurdles in the way

HAAARRRVVVEEEYYY 1,2,8,22 and any more you want to answer!
YESSSSSS OK OKAY.
1) why do i like him ?? well
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I MEAN. ITS A MYSTERY
also hes so funny . like surprisingly smart and funny.
2) ohhhh favorite canon thing about him? thats a tough one. i think my favorite thing so far has been his whole “just like his mother fr” thing when he was talking about sleeping with amy acker with his therapist and lying about it and she was like hm sounds familiar.. and he was like well im not goddamn her! probably one of my favorite harvey scenes ever
8) “something the fandom does to the character you despise” SCREAM ohmygod youre gonna get me in trouuuubllee! um i dont see him as a dom . like im sorry like i dont actually care but when people are like “THIS IS DOMSUB THIS IS DOM HARVEY” and the scene is like him standing. and waving a little bit im like .. is it though
like i dont really care i just dont see it. plus that line where scottie’s like “[harvey] only responds to strength” ive always thought was about sex like oh does he now.
22) something i like about him as a fic reader….. ohh interesting okay .. i think my favorite thing to read harvey rn is like unrequited.. like hes been in love with mike from the beginning and mikes with rachel and mikes gonna stay with rachel i love reading harvey having to sit on the sidelines and watch that . and not be able to do anything<3
something i dont like i fics as a reader… i definitely think harvey is hard to pin down.. like hes prickly but also the most sentimental man in the world like its hard to find the right balance so i don’t like it when hes too soft and syrupy but i also dont like it when hes too much of an asshole. i also dont like it when people give him too much credit or let him be too healthy like no, he’s supposed to be a toxic manipulator lmao
thank youuuuuuuu i love himmmmmmm

(that last anon again) Thank you so much for the recommendations! I'm truly in awe of how well read you are and how thorough your answers are. May I ask if you have any fiction recommendations with the same themes?
(following on from this ask)
hi!! you're very kind, apologies for taking so long to get back to you! i've been snowed under with assignments+readings for uni and the slowly encroaching exam crawl... but yes absolutely♡

Woman Putting on Costume, 1848-1898, Rops; The Bloody Chamber, Angela Carter; excerpt from Romana Byrne's Aesthetic Sexuality: A Literary History of Sadomasochism (mentioned in previous ask) which seems esp pertinent given the Bloody Chamber is a Bluebeard tale (but which is actually referencing Story of O)
I also mentioned Giger in the previous ask, and Hans Bellmer was an influence of his whom I enjoy viewing alongside Rops...

Flower picking
I'm a bit late so i'm not sure if you are going to accept my request, but if you are willing then i would like this with Fred and a romantic, fluff.
Tumblr media
Fred Porlock
Tumblr media
"(Y/N)...?"
"No peeking!" you warned, keeping your hands over his eyes as you led him through the path.
Fred let out a breathy chuckle as he complied, holding out his hands as you instructed him what to do.
"Is it still far?" he asked, putting his hands over yours, "We've been walking for a while now,"
You perched your head to the side, seeing the welcome sign ahead.
"Yep!" you happily declared, removing your hands as you rushed ahead, seeing the flower fields in all of their glory.
You turned to see Fred behind you, in awe of the view.
"Tada!" you threw your arms in the air, a proud smile on your face.
"It's a flower farm!" you grinned, "The owners let guests pick flowers, and there's even a short class on making bouquets and stuff," you explained, pointing at fellow visitors already picking their flowers with an employee leading them.
"How did you find out about this place...?"
"Oh, you know..." you shrugged, "Just went around town and saw them setting up a flower shop in the market." you smiled, remembering the warm greetings they gave passersby.
"We got to talking, and they told me about their farm," you turned to Fred, awaiting his reaction.
"What do you think?" you asked, making him take a breath.
"It's... amazing," he mused, his eyes not leaving the rows and rows of flowers.
You quietly congratulated yourself as you grabbed his hand, excited for the day.
"Come on!" you tugged him to the entrance, "I already paid for both of us. Let's enjoy it!"
You happily hummed as you continued to pick flowers carefully, choosing the ones that seemed to make the best bouquet.
You looked over to Fred, who seemed to be the one enjoying it the most out of your group, as his flower basket looked the most professional.
You smiled at the sight as you continued your work, placing your flowers gently into your basket.
"Oh! A dandelion!" you exclaimed, seeing a single dandelion on the flower bed.
"Must be the last one of the season," you muttered, carefully picking it out.
You looked around your group and saw everyone off to a flowerbed of their own, including Fred, who was ecstatically talking with the Ackers, the farm owners.
Seeing an opportunity, you took a deep breath and closed your eyes.
'Please... Let me stay by Fred's side for as long as possible...' you wished to the dandelion and opened your eyes, blowing its seeds to the wind.
"Looks like a serious wish," Fred mused behind you, making you jerk.
"HEY-!" you shouted, catching other people's attention.
"I'm so sorry..." you nervously laughed with a bow to the group while Fred was turned away, trying to contain his laughter.
You huffed as you hit his arm, "I thought I told you not to sneak up on me!"
"Sorry, force of habit..." he chuckled, making you sigh as you put the dandelion's stem into your basket and continued to roam around the fields.
"So? What did you wish for?" Fred questioned, following behind you.
You flinched at his question as your face started to grow warm.
"If I told you, it won't come true," you sighed, avoiding his gaze as you continued to look at the flowers.
Fred frowned at your answer as he continued to follow you.
"Not even a hint?"
"Nope!"
.
.
.
.
.
Mrs. Acker lightly laughed as she watched you and Fred picking flowers.
"What a cute couple," she smiled to Mr. Acker, who chuckled as he put his hand on his wife's waist, pulling her close and kissing her forehead.
"Kind of like you and me when we were young, hm?"

John Lee Clark:
"Since then, though, protest has remained the primary mode. Perhaps it’s because Deaf people’s cultures and languages continue to be marginalized. Protest is a worthy, logical response, but it can also be limiting. Instead of the full range of our realities and imaginations, we get drawn into arguments we did not choose for ourselves. For example, “visual music” and “ASL is beautiful” are the two most common tropes in Deaf poetry, working to counter audist notions of deafness and muteness; meanwhile, in real life, Deaf people are busy cooking, videochatting, texting, dating, raising families, and making transactions, not all of them legal. I realized that I needed to write beyond these arguments, not to leave behind our causes or obscure my identity, but to claim more and more space in which we can just be."
Jim Ferris:
"We. I presume, I claim an “us,” even though there are myriad ways of embodying (and denying) disability, and no two disabled people’s experiences are the same. Disabled people are well schooled, whether impairment is acquired early or late, to identify with and aspire to be as much like nondisabled people as possible.
But if we don’t claim our difference, if we don’t write disability, the normies will keep doing it for us. It is crucial that we don’t keep leaving the field to them, even when we love them. Even when they tell us it’s for our own good."
Jillian Weise: "I like John’s point: “We get drawn into arguments we did not choose for ourselves.” Sometimes I feel like I would rather talk about Kathy Acker. But what does the word “disability” mean? Is it useful to me? Can I get some heat from it? I am reminded of what Borges said to his nephew, “If you behave, I’ll give you permission to think of a bear.” Most often, I think about disability when I am asked to think about it. Then I feel an obligation to behave.
[...]
Yes, there is ableism. One able-bodied writer said to me, “Jillian, do you know why we use disabled speakers?” Do tell, Grandmaster. “Because all writers are outsiders and disabled speakers are the most outsider.” Noted. But I also hear this kind of thing: another writer once wrote to me, “I wish your book was not so dominated by disability poems.” And there’s the trap of ableism: disability is for able-bodied writers to write, because it’s easy for them, and they don’t have to think too hard about it, but disabled writers should stay out of it altogether."
John Lee Clark: "I agree with Jillian. Editors really need to start rejecting that kind of bad poetry. But I’m more concerned about what they do reject as “too niche,” “not a fit,” or simply “not poetic material.” Isn’t that funny? They are happy to publish poems with made-up disabled speakers, but these are mainly by poets who aren’t disabled, or, which is sometimes worse, by poets who are disabled but follow the “script.” You get a very good idea of what’s expected of you when editors ask you, “Why don’t you include something about how hard it is to be deaf?” or, “Why don’t you write about the things you miss seeing?” I get tired of explaining that it isn’t hard to be deaf or that I don’t regret becoming blind."
John Lee Clark:
"There’s something amiss — and missing — in publishing. Thirty million Americans are Deaf or hard of hearing. Add to that twenty-two million for the blind slice of the pie, and millions more for other groups — physical disabilities, different kinds of intelligences, and the rest — and what do we have? Nearly a quarter of the total population? Thanks to the capitalist interests driving the medical industries, that number is always growing, as more and more things are targeted as “abnormal” and in need of treatment. Disability is a major, major realm. But you wouldn’t know it from reading literary magazines or any of the “name” anthologies."
Jim Ferris: "How to change that bias? My best answer is to write the poems that you want and need to read, and keep sending stuff out there. (I’m speaking to myself as much as anyone else here.) Because there are editors and publishers and most importantly readers who are open to our work, who want our work, whether they know it before they see it or not. One of my poems is in part about rejecting messages that disabled people get about changing or at least hiding their nonconforming bodies. I have been repeatedly surprised at how powerfully that poem speaks to others who have heard such messages, particularly breast cancer survivors. I had no idea. What a robust reminder that my job is to make these little paper airplanes as well and as beautifully as I can and then sail them out into the breeze. How far they fly, where they land, what happens after they land — this is none of my business, except as it helps me to make the next airplanes better. My work is to make them and sail them — and then make more."
Jillian Weise: "May I talk about a different swindle? I was told there are speakers of poems and I believed it. When I invented disabled speakers I was told, “Those aren’t speakers. That’s you.” With minority writing, then, you don’t get the privilege of yourself. Self is constructed elsewhere. You are expected to be the speaker and represent the minority. Though, as Jim mentions, we’re not recognized as a minority yet. You are expected to be moral and teach. I think this is why Amiri Baraka wrote “Fuck poems / and they are useful.” Or what Laura Hershey meant by “Everything you say will prove something about / their god, or their economic system.”
I think there are certain kinds of disabled poems that some publishers want: the speaker overcomes disability; the speaker’s friend/relative is disabled or diagnosed; the speaker notices a disabled person on the side of the road. I avoid those poems at all costs."
Jennifer Bartlett: "Editors also may fear the considerations of “disability poetry”; real truths about prejudices and studies on the difficulties of the corporeal. No one wants to read that! It’s too scary. What people want to read in terms of disability is the aspect of how awful and difficult it can be. This leads readers to develop empathy (or her naughty sister pity), which is something they can connect with.
I have a current manuscript that questions and pushes the issue of ableism in a direct way. I’ve had a really hard time getting it published. I often am slow to publish, but sometimes I wonder whether the manuscript has been in limbo for so long due to its content. I try to imagine an able-bodied publisher who will publish a book directly challenging ableism. I do not have an answer."

sex is sweet now we've done with sex where we gonna go? If you have no pleasure to live for, do you want to live? grey grey everywhere grey blucky blucky shiv shifting shivers lurk in corners corners of the nothing everyone walking down the corridors they think they are the outside. in the corners there lurk wars and poisons and liars and dirt Just let me sleep under warmth crawl my eyes Here is my lullabye: If you have no mind to live for do you want to live? Now stars lights up my head I want the whole world to burn up instantly I want everyone and thing to be dead And then there'll be, not begin, another world Or so I've heard it said I don't know. Don't ask me nothing. I don't know. I'm in pain. Ask me something. I'm tell you I hurt. I don't have any other answers. I like fire. I like glory. I like stars. I like moving as fast fast as I can on a speeding train especially when I'm in pain I like moving until I get beyond and I'm insane meaning I can't think anymore meaning I'm a robot meaning I'm a dodo meaning I'm a creep meaning I'm stupid This is one of my dreams.

Follow up, because Bay is so cool:
• What does Bay fear the most?
• What will Bay do once they actually find Percy?
• What is Bay and Percy’s relationship like?
-@heresthefanfiction
answering this one now bc if i wait until i feel like rambling, your asks will lie in wait for a lil bit lmao.
• What does Bay fear the most?
being alone forever. sure, they had their dad and triton, but triton has made it clear he wishes that he didn't get relegated to parent duty and the two of them have a strained relationship. and neptune tends to keep them at arms reach, preferring to be poseidon most of the time and keeping bay away to keep from switching between neptune and poseidon. bay doesn't actually know his reasoning though and believes that it's solely because he wishes that it was percy and sally with him, not bay. which, ngl, is kind of right. so ultimately, they're terrified of never being able to really connect with anyone - never have friends, never have someone who wants them around, never find someone to love. their fear of being alone is a big reason as to way they choose to brave the surface, along with their daddy issues
• What will Bay do once they actually find Percy?
at first, they believe they'll be called back home after they find percy. but once they don't, bay decides to stay with the group on the argo 2, even if they aren't destined to be there. they've started to make friends with the lost trio and honestly, they're curious about what makes percy jackson so much better then themselves to their dad.
• What is Bay and Percy’s relationship like?
strained, most of the time. bay is kind of standoffish, given they're still lying about being triton's kid and doesn't want to risk slipping up. but percy is really interested in getting to know his new cousin and learning more about what it was like being raised under the sea. they both have some resentment towards each other, due to being jealous about how the other was raised, though percy is better at keeping it in control. things get even more messy after everyone finds out they've been lying about their dad the entire time, but ultimately, by the end of the series they've called a truce and are dedicated to getting to know each other better.

For that fandom ask meme, how about either Stand brainwormies, GoT, or our beloved Buffy? oAo
Thank you for the Ask!
(Fandom Ask Game)
I'm going to do all three, try and stop me! (As I have to wait until I get to a computer to answer instead of my shitty phone keyboard) And tagging @joeysjaskier, since I already started in on this after your ask with the Stand.
The first character I first fell in love with:
Depends on if we're doing specifically 2020 Stand or all around. If you asked me for Stands overall, I would say Nick Andros, because I saw '94 first. But 2020 didn't have me hooked until I saw Glen.
Tyrion Lannister always had my heart right from the start. I still want 'Never Forget Who You Are' tattooed at some point, and that was an episode 1 quote.
Willow was my girl from the beginning. The original do I want to be her, or be with her, questioning.
The character I never expected to love as much as I do now:
If you told me before that I would be thinking about the Stand every day since I've seen the 2020 version for about two and a half years straight, I would have told you you were full of shit. That's all Glen Bateman's doing. Never anticipated this.
Jaime Lannister. I hated him at the start of it, and dammit if they didn't put him through the shit and make me care about him despite that. (And lets not talk about how pissed I am at his arc ending...)
Eh, it seems like a standard answer, but I didn't expect to like Spike either. But I think that was a surprise to a lot of people, show included, and grudgingly they went with it.
The character everyone else loves that I don’t:
I like all Stand characters, so its like picking the least liked of something you'd still choose over most other things, but I never connected with Larry. I should have, he has qualities that I should have connected with, but I just... didn't?
Similar to the Stand, I like most all characters from this, but have to pick, guess I'm going with.... *crickets sounds in my head*... fuck, I really don't have an answer coming to me.... Bran?
I don't really like Angel. They played the love interest, and I was always 'meh' at best. I even watched Angel too, but I'm going to give credit to Wesley and Fred there (any surprise since I'm using Amy Acker as my main OC faceclaim.)
The character I love that everyone else hates:
I don't know if this counts, cause overall Lloyd is a very much loved character, but I think '20 Lloyd gets some shit because he is definitely different from the book/'94, but I love him still. Does that count?
Who's hated in this fandom? I'm honestly not sure if I differ from general public opinion....
Season 6 gets a lot of hate, but overall, I think its my favorite. I also have a soft spot for Jonathan.
The character I used to love but don’t any longer:
Answering for all of them. I usually don't fall out of love for characters. More often than not (like I said with Jaime above), they tend to grow on me out of nowhere.
The character I would totally smooch:
Glen Bateman
Tyrion Lannister
Willow Rosenberg
The character I’d want to be like:
Can they all still be the same as the smoochies?
The character I’d slap:
Randall Flagg. Please. Please let me do this thing. I want to do this thing. Please let me do the thing.
Cercei Lannister. God, this would be so satisfying...
Warren, although I would give this one up to slap Randall Flagg one more time.
A pairing that I love:
I approve of Stu/Fran time, and my mind has drifted to Flagg/Lloyd time as well.
Jaime/Brienne
Buffy/Spike
A pairing that I despise:
Despise is such a strong word... I really don't disapprove of many ships period. I may not always seek them out, but eh...

FOR THE MEME obvsly i need to know your angel opinions and also buffy if u have any
yay :D
BUFFY:
The first character I first fell in love with: Queen C <3 The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: I truly have no answer for this question. There are characters I didn't vibe with on Buffy who I loved on Angel (see below) but I don't think anyone who stayed on Buffy rose in my estimation to a particularly surprising or impressive degree. The character everyone else loves that I don’t: Oz, who is actually my least favorite Buffyverse character. He bores me and I think being boring is the worst offense a TV character can commit. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The character I love that everyone else hates: You know ten years ago I could've said Dawn and it would've been a good answer. For all that Buffy fandom on Tumblr has mutated in some ways I dislike, I am at least glad to say that Dawn no longer works as an answer to this question. ...Unfortunately that means I don't have an answer for this question lol. I like Riley okay, I think he's funny, but I don't love him and I think his arc goes to a deeply weird place after S4. The character I used to love but don’t any longer: Giles. I first watched the show when I was 14 and I enjoyed Giles's snark. But as I've gotten older and become a whole adult I find myself liking him less and less. I have serious issues with how he treats Buffy and Xander and I admit to finding the whole Ripper backstory rather dull. I understand that he isn't actually supposed to be an ideal father figure, he's supposed to be flawed, etc., but his flaws are not ones I find terribly interesting and fandom's insistence on painting him as Buffy's awesome dad deeply grates on me.  The character I’d want to be like: I admire Anya's lack of shame, willingness to call out bullshit, and financial literacy. Otherwise, I wouldn't want to be like any of these people lol. The character I’d slap: And if I said Willow Rosenberg...? A pairing that I love: For all its many flaws and complications, and for all that I think some of its fans simply should not be allowed to speak on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, I do still harbor a deep affection for Spuffy, particularly in the end of S5/beginning of S6 era. A pairing that I despise: It's gotta be Bangel sorry Bangel mutuals/followers 😔 but I am trying to be nicer about it #livingandlearning
ANGEL:
The first character I first fell in love with: Cordelia Chase of course. The song remains the same. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: ANGEL my mans I thought he was sooo boring on Buffy lol and now he is my second favorite Buffyverse character <33333 love that guy!!! (But also Darla because she truly did nothing for me in Buffy S1 but she is so amazing on Angel.) The character everyone else loves that I don’t: Okay, so, I do like Fred. There are times (like in late S2, early S3, and the Jasmine arc) when I see potential in her for a really great and interesting character, and I think Amy Acker is actually the strongest actor in the cast. But a lot of the time she is written to be, like, the generic awkward nerdy waif character you see in every Whedon property, and I don't find that archetype terribly appealing. I also think the insistence on constantly sticking her into love triangles served her character really poorly, especially since I was never particularly convinced that she and any of her suitors actually knew each other very well. The character I love that everyone else hates: Connor fans RISE!!! The character I used to love but don’t any longer: When I first watched the show I really liked Lindsey in Seasons 1 & 2. I loved his sendoff episode and thought he was a great character. ...Then he came back.  The character I’d want to be like: I'm going to steal your answer and say Anne Steele because I truly do think she is probably the most aspirational hero in the Buffyverse. The character I’d slap: Disclaimer that I do love Wesley BUT I would slap him in late S5 after Fred dies and he starts acting like he is the only person who knew her even though they went on like one date. In particular I would slap him for stabbing Gunn which. Fuck you, man. You would've signed the paper too. A pairing that I love: Cangel obviously. But also Weslah. A pairing that I despise: Fresley my nemesis!!! >:[

Ahh thanks! The Q’s only go up to 25 unless you are looking at something different, but I can answer the first two 😂
7. Favorite actor of the year? - honestly probably Amy Acker. I rewatched person of interest and then watched a whole bunch of other truly bad things with her (and some good!) and i got my partner into her by showing her poi for the first time 😂 that was much earlier in the year but the effects of the Amy Acker phase have resonated throughout
11. Something you want to do again next year? - ahh, the last 2 years I’ve gone to New York so I would honestly love to make it like an annual thing if possible! Just spend like a week there and see a bunch a broadway shows haha

"(Y/N)!" Enfield, your boss dressed as a skeleton, called out, almost falling onto you as he put an arm around your shoulder.
"Mister Enfield..." you weakly smiled, trying to pull the man back onto his feet.
"Where are you going? The night is still young!" he drunkenly grinned, raising his fist and almost falling back.
"Grab some more drinks. It's on the house!" he reassured, making the rest of your co-workers cheer inside the bar.
"Sorry, I promised I would be home early," you excused, removing his arm gently.
"Come on, (Y/N)! Don't be such a downer," Acker grinned as he cut between you two.
"Halloween only comes once a year!" he added, flashing the fangs of his vampire costume as he pulled you back into the bar.
"B-But I need to get home..." you reminded, looking back to the door.
"It'll be quick! Just a few drinks to celebrate," Acker reassured, pouring everyone a glass.
You sighed as you sat down, looking back at the door and admitting defeat.
'Sebastian goes out at late hours. I'm sure it will be fine...'
"Be careful on your way home," you waved at your remaining co-workers with a smile, helping them inside the carriage.
"Bye....!"
"Take care!"
"Thanks again for having us...!"
They sluggishly said as the carriage went off, making you sigh in relief.
"Now to get home..." you muttered as you trudged back to the manor, wanting nothing more than to pass out on your bed.
When you got back home, all the lights were already off.
'Of course...' you thought with a sigh, silently unlocking the front door as you snuck inside.
"You're late," Moneypenny exclaimed as you walked in, making you jump.
"M-!" you shouted back, but she hushed you, cutting you off.
"We'll talk in the morning. William has been waiting for you the whole evening," she sighed, leading you back into your bedroom.
Before you could say anything, you were already inside your room as Moneypenny softly closed the door.
You softly smiled as you walked to the bathroom, ready to take off your makeup and costume.
"Will?" you softly called out as you sat on the side of the bed, fresh from the bathroom.
"Hey... are you asleep already?" you asked in a hushed tone, trying to see his face, but his hair was on the way.
You sighed as you lay down, disappointed you couldn't get home earlier.
"Goodnight," you whispered, kissing the side of his head as you got into a comfortable position until William turned over to you and wrapped his arms around you.
"You were out late..." he muttered, his voice groggy from being woken up.
"Yeah, sorry... I couldn't leave the party early," you apologized as you snuggled into his chest, making him hum.
"Did I wake you up?" you asked, making William shake his head.
"I couldn't sleep well with you out so late," he answered, making you frown.
"Even Sebastian came home before you," he smiled, making you chuckle.
"Yeah... Moneypenny said she'll talk to me in the morning..." you nervously chuckled, remembering the last time you saw her mad.
William chuckled as you smiled, kissing his forehead as you lay beside him.
"Goodnight, Will,"
"Goodnight, darling..."
