Alaska n Cali ? ^_^ romantic or platonic, or neither, just how they’d interact doesn’t matter to me, just curious :33

I AM SO SORRY THAT THIS IS SO LATE. I meant to do this sooner I swear, I just had no idea how to do what I needed to on Google Docs mobile. Anyway, I went the platonic route sorta, it can read as romantic as well, sooo HERE!!!!

Alaska and California-

Cuddles, all the cuddles, it’s what they do like 80% of the time when they’re together

Alaska will just pick Cali up at random, like it’s the more normal thing in the world, and Cali just takes it

They don’t actually talk much when together, well Alaska doesn’t, Cali yaps

Cali somehow managed to get Alaska to watch anime with them one time, it ended at ep 4 when girl + dog = lot’s of crying from the both of them

Alaska has a pet bear and Cali has the insatiable need to pet and cuddle things that can kill him

They have gone to multiple sports games together, despite Alaska not liking the crowds and Cali not like the noise or the crowds, according to Cali it’s “a bonding experience to watch your team win while on the bring of either shutting down or a panic attack”

Cali does sketches of Alaska throughout the day, sometimes the drawings include other states but normally it’s just him, then at the end of the day Cali will give them all to Alaska who proceeds to put them all on the fridge in the garage

Winter vacay is determined by a coin flip, it’s normally with Alaska (it’s not rigged, Alaska just always picks the right side)

Cali tried to get Alaska to understand the appeal video games, then ended up getting demolished by him because of tilt control on Mario Kart

Alaska taught Cali how to ice fish, how to safely skate on open ice, and how to be silent in the woods

The two are just very close, Cali is an outcast not by choice and Alaska is one by choice, it’s an interesting relationship

Cali was incredibly close to telling Alaska about the fact that he writes fanfics, they didn’t but the fact that he was going to is something of note

Cali steals Alaska’s hoodies and shirts since they SWIM in them

Have I mentioned cuddles? Because that is basically what the whole relationship is built upon, cuddles. So. Many. Cuddles.

#My art #Wander Over Yonder #Commander Peepers #Lord Hater #Death Glare #Thinking like a Lot a Lot about Peepers' affection for Lord Hater lately #Specifically about Peepers' attraction to others in general but Hater in specific since y'know - that man is his everything haha #He is not subtle about it <3 #There's also the impropriety of them being in a relationship but not caring since they're already villains and just hhh <3 The appeal!#I think it's still the contrast for me - not Just in their designs but yes also that lol #But in their highs and lows in general! They're so combative and mean but they can also be sweet and silly #There's a kind of mutual respect and admiration that's largely overshadowed by the other's arrogance or immaturity or perceived ineptness #And I love that for them! The fact that it still persists despite how well they know each other! They love each other!! It's cute as heck!!#Peepers is absolutely incorrigible - his big Heart Eye whenever Hater does anything remotely adept and evil #He is So obvious lol <3 #But even Hater has his moments of recognition and realizing his own errors when he does wrong by Peepers and hhhhh it's just so good <3 <3 #They need each other #These vectors are also still fun as heck to make lol they're quite quick! On a serious note, I do feel mysterious case lotusbook has a lot of sincere themes about getting older, realities of responsibility and dreams realized, how it's difficult to succeed and not always the direct path one expects, how there's value in little aspects of life. Almost every li lianhua scene seems to be about that to some degree. The murder cases aren't particularly deep as far as super complicated to figure out or Able to be predicted super well (since they don't always give all the details in the initial setup), but the themes about who was killed and why do connect to li lianhuas situation.

#mysterious lotus casebook #lb #by all this i mean: a lot of the positive things li lianhua AND di feisheng say are fairly good advice tbh #like a fei? hes like you need to be fair in your decisions for your actions to be worthwhile and earned #li lianhua: sometimes being the one taking all responsibility was bad for you and the people you led who felt burdened #by You taking the burden. and stepping back can be a respectable choice.#cooking is more difficult than fighting. keeping yourself alive is Hard and its the hardest thing we do #and its admirable even when youll never be a hero never be able to achieve what those around you might #your peers are worthwhile if they choose diffetently than you (qian wanmian isnt lesser for not choosing to lead a sect and instrad #dissolving it. di feisheng doesnt think li lianhua is no longef worth his time even though hes weaker now. li lianhua is still someonr he #wants to see alive see brlieve in himself see passionate about things. the monks think its never too late to #reconnect to people again. that people who love you will want you and accept you even when you fail.#even fang duobing by knowing li lianhua gets the experience of someone who wants him alive #and fondly smiles and Is proud of him. evrn if hes learning and fails and moody #fond of him in a way his family wasnt that strangers lied about due to his status #in a way that he clung to li xianyi for ALSO seeing value in him when he felt he didnt live up to expectstions of the world #its the Kindness of little moments of acceptance. of being kind to yourself and kind to others (even down to #not wantjng to kill suspects but take them to trial. not wanting scapegoats blamed. which arent usually done in wuxia)#its the fact this show is quite about gentleness and healing (i see the Love and Redemption screen writing ismilarities)#rather than about power struggles. do you know what i mean?

i think one of the scariest things about reaching your mid-twenties is realising you're going to have to stand up for and advocate for yourself, because you're no longer at the age where there's an older wiser adult who can do it for you

#it's like. i feel like in my early twenties i could always sort of rely on my parents if i got into any REALLY difficult situation #but once i'm in my late twenties that's going to become less and less acceptable #especially with the trouble i was having at work. it really dawned on me that it wasn't something i could just get my parents to sort out #like i maybe could have done at school or even university. i have to start handling stuff on my own and that's scary!#(obviously that's quite a priveleged position for me to be in that i'm only getting to that stage now though. a lot of people probably had #to deal with things on their own a lot earlier! and honestly i have so much admiration for them because WOW it's difficult)

#journaling #art journaling #i've done couple spreads/pages from these affirmation cards i got last year with a set of stickers & planner thing i purchased #they weren't designed for this but i've used a couple of them that way #i feel like this is a very simplified - not exactly sanitized - but not NOT sanitized either version of how i've felt about things lately #there's been rather a lot of 'the suck" but i a working to try and keep my head up #oh - and because of the shiny surface the rectangle in the top left - is an image of hokusai's the great wave #i am so full of FEELING - i don't know where to put it all. it's like a spill running in too many directions #i don't know how to organize them or say them all without spreading some kind of infection around- triggering/dumping on other people #and maybe i am also simply tired on top of everything else - smh - but i am tryong to sit with these waves #to remind myself that i need to do what i can to mitigate things - that i know what some of these things ARE - even if i don't like them #and that i CAN do them - regardless #and the stuff i cannot change - that i don't have to absorb it all - that i can see it - and name it and admit it sucks and try and let go #and if - let go- isn't quite right then it's more do what i can to keep going anyway - then that's what i need to keep trying to do #i feel like i keep coming back to the mountain goats' lyrics from This Year:#There will be feasting and dancing in jerusalem next year - and i am gonna make it through this year if it kills me #embrace the suck
