An unforseen side effect of training Fancy has been she is now 100% cuddlier. Probably because after each session I make myself available to her if she wants a snuggle, alone in my room, and she almost always wants one for a few minutes. She will come get on the bed and stand next to my ribs and just FLOP against me and slide down and churr and peep until I hold her like a literal baby doll or plushie. Huge mashy paws. She always did come and tuck herself into the angle of my arm but this is so soft and so nice, especially on days like today where things are hard and not very fun in my head.

Have decided that the best way to get ready for my trip to Boston is to make a fancy outfit for it. So I finally cut into the gray wool I thrifted ages ago, and I am doing all the fiddly steps and pressing the bejesus out of it and topstitching every seam. I only have the bodice done but it looks so nice.

And I made a necklace with jewel beetle wings to wear to the MFA. I’m not taking pictures until I actually get to wear it, though, because if I’m gonna be extra I’m gonna be extra.

I have not known Peace since I discovered I could make smol books. This is an A7 sized hardback (items for scale) bound in chiyogami paper (the same that I used for binding another yuri on ice fic - this is what I had left over) over 1.5mm board. The insides is recycled paper.

the birth of comets takes place on the tip of your lashes by apollothyme, Yuri/Otabek, 15,622 words/135 pages.

In this fic Yuri has a degenerative eye disease and the fic is about how he navigates his skating career with his loss of vision. Also his relationship with Otabek. Way back when I first read this and recced it on @victorextranikiforov , I said that it reminded me of a Yuri meme that goes “contrary to popular belief I have feelings” and…that is the fic. I strongly recommend!!

was very excited about my new pants then realised the reason why the pocket fit weirdly yesterday night is probably because i set it wrong because i put in the other pocket so long ago that i forgot how i was supposed to do it
