Prompt #8 Favorite Scene (again)

Reasons why this scene is amazing.

Porsche rubbing Kinn's back in comfort because Tankhun is genuinely pissed at him even while being incredibly dramatic and Kinn is feeling guilty and absolutely hates to upset his brother.

Not one, not two, but three trained bodyguards completely freaked the hell out and abandoned their charges(well, unless you count Porsche climbing on Kinn's back as some kind of protection) at the sight of "zombie" Pete.

That Yok is there. Tankhun feels close enough to Yok to include her and look, Yok is the first person in Tankhun's life that isn't either related to him or paid by his family in who knows how long, so that's a big deal.

Arm being upset that Tankhun told Pete's ghost to visit his dreams. The little flinch and "why?" look is hilarious.

The fond little face pat and smile that Kinn gives Pete when they realize he's alive, before he's literally knocked out of the way by Arme and Pol mobbing Pete.

The Pete mobbing. Porsche poking his arm to make sure he's really not a ghost before they all pile onto Pete's poor bruised body, my little gang together once more.

This was my villain AU! I found this from like a 1 1/2 years ago in one of my old sketch books. Back before I did digital art work and didn’t really understand anatomy or clothes or anything. So excuse me while I go cringe at old art. TWT

I never did a whole lot with this, the farthest I got was making backstories for these character to be honest. Maybe a bit on how they got on the quest but that’s about it. Idk. TWT

“Hm? Ed? What is it?” Ed mumbled something above Ling’s head, resting his cheek there for a moment and warming the place like a sunspot. Ling made to lift his head to catch a glimpse of his boyfriend’s expression, but was stopped by a hand to his face, guiding it forward again. “Shut up, don’t look. Just...” A pause. The arms shifted to get comfortable around him. “Stay like this, for a minute.” Ling smiled. That was, he supposed, answer enough. He folded his legs on his seat to get comfortable as well. “Alright,” he hummed. “No looking.” He didn’t need to, anyway.

Today I wandered into my historical au WIP You’re where I wanna go, made myself cry, and now here we are. Snippet directly precedes this.

I saw him today. Eddie. It was only from a distance, and I don’t believe he saw me. I hope he didn’t anyway, so his heart could remain intact. But perhaps it’s foolish to assume seeing me would cause him the same pain.

He looked well, even if not as I remember, wearing a three piece suit. He was not the man I knew. Not my Eddie.

I hardly thought it possible that I would ever see him again. We were so fortunate to meet once. To burn brightly and love with such an intensity. My life, my heart, my soul are all dark now in his absence. Like the death of a star. Perhaps we were always meant to be that way from the beginning, whether it’s how we wished or not. To explode and disperse, outshining the sun until our love was nothing more than glowing embers slowly smoldering to ash.

Even if that is our fate - to never cross paths again - I would happily do it all again and bear the pain a second time. For why else should we love if not to feel the stars exploding in our veins?

Turns out, unsurprisingly, that lack of follow-up/care is a pretty universally hated thing!
