Me: Hey, this is a pretty fun show! Lotta laughs, lotta excitement...hey, what's that you've got there?
DuckTales, barely hiding a cricket bat labelled 'emotional devastation': Oh, nothing, don't worry about it!

Della Duck fans, I need your opinion on something very important
What do you think Della Duck’s favorite action movie is?
Tumblr media
Because I can’t ever decide on one
Like I know we already agreed Die Hard would most definitely be her favorite Christmas movie, but overall favorite action movie? Don’t know. All though I will say having the protagonist be someone that’s trying to reconnect with their family while adventure/trouble finds them might hit differently for her these days
And then I got thinking about Indiana Jones series because she definitely grew up with those movies. Just some great adventure flicks (and yeah, she’d some parallels between the adventures Indy went on with the ones her uncle went on). But if I were to pick one, I’d say Temple of Doom would be here favorite Indiana Jones movie. She got in the rocket before Crystal Skull happen, but I bet that’d be her least favorite Indy film
And while we’re on the subject of adventure action movies, there’s no way she wouldn’t love The Mummy. You know the Brendan Fraser movie!?That’s like THE Bisexual Movie!
Also I’ve been thinking about Big Trouble in Little China lately, and how awesome that movie is and how it could totally be Della’s favorite action movie just how bombastic it gets, also I can totally see Kurt Russell being Della’s favorite action movie star (of course this is the DT17 universe so he’d be…Bird Russel). Plus Jack Burton is a big dummy, I can see Della loving his character
And when it comes to thinking about what her favorite action movie is I’m definitely thinking it’s something from the 80s/90s just because I definitely think nostalgia bias would be a major factor for her favorite action movie. But she’d be all about the John Wick movies
Also never seen this movie, but I think Con Air would definitely be in her Top 5 because from the trailer and what I’ve seen from it, it looks like Die Hard but on a Plane starring Nic Cage so yeah, that sounds great
Anyway, feel free to tell me what you think Della Duck’s favorite action movie is

Honestly, I think it would be fitting if pairs like Webby and Lena, Drake and Launchpad and Della and Penumbra were to sit together while watching the solar eclipse. After all, all 3 of these pairs have some history with the concept of darkness in some way. As shown in the episode ‘The Shadow War Part 1: The Night Of De Spell!’, Lena was a living shadow who was under Magica De Spell’s control before, as shown in the episode ‘The Shadow War Part 2: The Day Of The Ducks!’, she was saved from Magica by the light of her bond with Webby. As shown in the episode ‘Let’s Get Dangerous! Part 1: The St. Canardian Guardian!’, Drake prided himself on being “the terror that flaps through the night” as Darkwing Duck while Launchpad worked with him as his partner. And, as shown in the episode ‘What Ever Happened To Della Duck?!’, Della was stranded on the Moon and Penumbra lived on it and the Moon orbits Earth in the darkness of space.

btw idk if the people are ready for this but I look at Louie Duck and I see "child with undiagnosed chronic illness". I also did not like to do things I strictly didn't have to, whether it was small stuff like getting up to get myself another drink, or bigger stuff like playing games, wrestling, or day/road trips. I didn't really run or like camping or adventuring the way my siblings and classmates did.
I just figured I was a lazy person until I started to get really sick in high school and got my juvenile amplified pain / fibromyalgia disorder. THEN I realized that, no, I had just been experiencing low-grade symptoms like fatigue, amplified pain, and vertigo ever since I was little (along with adhd and anxiety symptoms of course) without realizing that it wasn't normal.
So not to get all overly deep about it but I look at a kid who doesn't have the energy or desire to keep up with the kids around him, who feels that his strengths lie in hanging back and observing first rather than jumping right into the action, and I think, yeah, me too. when you only have so much energy, of COURSE you're going to be breaking down the most efficient way to get things done, because some days ever ly step counts. of course you're emotional; your body is pumping adrenaline all the time and it exhausts you, and you are constantly in need of a nap, and it makes you feel super cranky sometimes.
so to have someone say, "hey, I see you, and I see you have different strengths and weaknesses than the other kids, so let's see what we can do to help you succeed?" that's HUGE (<- most dangerous game night). feeling like you can't contribute because nobody realizes what's different about you, not even you? yeah you internalize that. it's isolating.
there was a period of time where I was really, really struggling to do things that were considered basic for me, and it took awhile of my family just not understanding what was happening until I finally got it through that something was wrong. it wasn't that they didn't care, it just took awhile for us to help each other understand, and I see that in the s2 arc, too. Della and Louie are having trouble communicating to each other what they need and why it's important, and Della is finally able to be like "I see you, too, and I'm here to help you, and also to help you learn to help yourself, so you can really find your role in this family." and Louie is able to reciprocate that and say "you're right, I'll help you understand what I'm seeing and we'll work together". like dude I've had countless conversations with MY mom that went just like that
idk. chronic illness lense man. and everything is about Louie Duck all the time.

Favorite Kid Complex
Tumblr media
@ducktales-and-ducks asked a question about which, if any, of the triplets is Della’s favorite, and I accidentally wrote an essay thats about to be your guys’ problem.
The long answer being she ripped up Scrooge’s formula for how to be a parent and meets them where they are.
I made a post earlier about the idea that Scrooge had a favorite twin, and said he loved them both, but he loved them differently- relationships are dynamic. He can go about loving them equally with different dynamics.
Della is completely different.
So Scrooge has two kids, each he clearly loves (equally) in different ways, but he engages in the same thing with them. Two different relationships, and adventuring. Scrooge only verbalizes his support upon successes, and then only (as far as we know) takes the kids to do his thing, which is adventuring, which leaves the twins with the assumed formula adventuring+success=parental love.
We even see Della trying to spin the formula her first day back to earn her kids’ love (and, again, Scrooge’s validation).
Della, on the other hand, has some incredible, unique relationships with each of her kids, but doles out the exact same affection freely. They blink, and it’s the best, coolest, most praise-worthy thing anyone has ever done, and she’s utterly undiscerning as to which triplet it is.
She engages with them separately on their strengths and activities (yes, yes, I’m getting to Louie in a second), and that allows them to be successful by existing.
Dewey is the easiest, because he lines up with her loudest mannerisms and surface level interests- Danger!!! Attention!!! Dumbassery!!! And then she has to spend their entire first episode together breaking down the formula he picked up from Scrooge, too. She doesn’t have to work to meet up with Dewey because he’s racing to meet her, but it’s his natural inclination and behavior, which makes them so similar. I think it’s become a bit fanon that hes the favorite because he’s the easiest, (and his conflict of impulsive child disease was resolved before she got home and they never really got back to it), when really what we were seeing was narrative payoff for a season and a half of his character being instrumental in the building anticipation of hers. It’s good storytelling.
Huey lines up with her quieter instincts, the same things that make her a good pilot (detail, precision), but she meets him at his interest with Legends of LegendQuest. He wants to sit around and farm, and she’s obviously bored out of her mind with his play style but does it anyway, miserably helping his farm. When she does encourage him to go out, (yes, she does want to hunt some orc) but from a storytelling standpoint, its a parenting moment masked in his interest. She uses the game as a framing device to edge her kid out of his comfort zone, which is a teaching technique. She’s parenting, meeting him at his level, and supporting him while helping him expand.
Louie. Is. Just. Like. Her. The conflict and narrative tension is that the facet of him that lines up with her happens to be the same that caused her biggest trauma and one that, separately, he personally has been struggling with previous to her return. They’re both too smart for their own good. One of the major downfalls of the show is that they never get their own bonding episode together, which would have been a spectacular setup for Timephoon. Because for that episode to really work and really hit hard, they have to really love each other. We know they do because the narrative tells us so, but the contrast is so much better when we see it onscreen.
Frank said the reason Della came down so hard was because she was majorly triggered- she was thoughtless and too clever for her own good, and she lost her family. She just watched Louie, who is so often thoughtless, try to be too clever for his own good, lose their entire family. Again, parenting moment, but this time it’s not cute bonding. Its hard. Beakley spends the whole episode emphasizing ‘You can’t be their best friend, you’re their mother first.’ She’s spent her time learning to be a parent and edging her kids towards healthier habits: teaching Dewey that love isn’t earned, Huey that there’s life outside what routine, and Louie that there are consequences to his actions. It’s recognition of self through the other, and the kid gets grounded. Fine.
She spends the whole time thinking about him. She gets him a souvenir while they’re gone, wants to leave the big “Suck It, Glomgold,” ceremony to check on him, gives him the little hobo crown at the end (which, cute), and they make up. Both her and Louie’s reactions were heightened, but they’re an extreme family. The bar is really high.
But then the show, because they had the most narrative tension, goes and gives them tons of episodes and moments in everyday life outside of big bonding episodes: on the steps of Ithiquack, the lullaby scene, all of impossibin, and just tons of little everyday moments sprinkled through the show, but they add up, and they choose to reach out to each other again and again. They really work to meet each other.
This turned into a thesis essay, yikes.
TLDR She goes out of her way to find ways to connect with her kids, all of whom she has VASTLY different means of connecting with, but an overwhelming scale of love for equally. I think audiences see those and, based on which kid they relate to more, see that as preference because it makes the most sense to them.
(IM GONNA MAKE A POST LATER ABOUT WEBBY, BECAUSE I HAVE A LOT OF THOUGHTS ABOUT THAT. A SCENE WAS CUT AND WE WERE WRONGED.)

Ok so I wasn't gonna say anything till I had at least the first chapter done but screw it
I HAVE A TITLE FOR MY VILLAIN SCROOGE AU FIC
It is a LONG-ASS TITLE HERE WE GO
Spilt Blood, Ancient Gold, Solemn Secrets Never Told, Something Lost, Never Found, Beware the Heir of Dismal Downs
As I said a while back, me and a friend of mine had been discussing ideas for a villain arc for Scrooge, and I guess this is gonna be the result
I have all the chapter titles, the year each chapter takes place in, and a vague plan for where each chapter goes (titles and years under the cut, and you can all feel free to ask me or speculate if you wanna know more)
Part 1 - Past
The Cold Heart of Clan McDuck (1870s)
The Dark Angel of the Klondike (1880s-90s)
Any Means Necessary (1890s)
Desperate Times, And So Forth (1930s, Great Depression)
“Note To Self: Never Trust Anybody” (1942)
Making Connections In Unexpected Places (1964)
And Fate Turns On A Dime Once Again… (1966)
“You Didn’t Fire Me, I Quit!” (1978)
You Don’t Know Me, But I Know You (1987)
Two Little Angels (1993) Part 2 - Present
Ground Control To Della Duck (2007)
Exodus (2007)
Slipping, Fading, Falling, Sir, and Nothing Left To Say (2009)
Fortune Favours The Wicked (2010)
Anything For Company (2017)
A Slip Of This Respectable Façade, Perhaps (2018)
Flames Old And New Ignited (2018)
We Meet Again, Agent 22 (2019)
Not Quite Healing (2019)
We Run This City (2019) Part 3 - Future
What’s A Little Emotional Trauma Between Old Friends? (2019)
The Trickster Of Glomgold Industries (2019)
Making A Name For Himself (2019)
A New Challenger Approaches! (2019)
Dark Moon Rising (2019)
The Old Gods Return (2019)
F.O.W.L. Play (2019)
Unconventional Alliances (2019)
“Everybody Hates Me, And I Hate Everybody” (2019)
The Second Burning Of Alexandria (2019)
Tale’s End? (2019, mayyyybe 2020)
Note that up until "Fortune Favours The Wicked", anything and everything I talk about is either part of Scrooge's 2017-canon backstory, or is a part of that history that's never filled in in the show (so it COULD'VE happened but probably not). The fic diverges more and more from 2017 canon as it progresses, as we see what things would be like if just a few things changed, here and there...
Also the story starts moving SUPER FAST after "Flames Old And New Ignited", that's intentional.
Also also I split it into three parts and named them after the Christmas ghosts because, y'know, Scrooge, and also that his life in the show really does have three distinct phases - from his youth up till when Della left, his Post-Spear Depression, and his reconciliation with the fam. But of course, in this AU, things don't go according to plan all the time...
But yeah if anyone wants to know more PLEASE ask, I would love to infodump about this, it'll probably be the longest thing I've EVER written when it's done.

tw// discussion of postpartum depression and depression in general… this is a long post of random Della thoughts
Okay, so I've been thinking about that post I just reblogged a lot because I really the concept of Theory 4 (I know it's sad but it feels so real). I just have minor adjustments in my head. For instance, I personally don't see Della caring about the triplets father at all. Like, my guy was definitely not involved. I really see Della as a free spirit, and I can’t really see her ever wanting to be in a committed relationship… Wow, I'm sorry, I make everything about her sad. In my brain/headcanon world, every relationship she has had always crashes and burns because she doesn't like feeling tied down. She’s always running…. Anyway, about the postpartum depression, I feel like she suffered so badly from it— only not in the way where she wanted to hurt them lol. She just didn't feel bonded or connected and became depressed from that. That's why she was avoidant and would seem at times (to her family) like she wasn't being "responsible". Along with the depression, they also served as a reminder that everything is going to change. So what does she do? She runs.
I love the explanations for Donald and Scrooge under Theory 4. Head-on-the-nail for their thought process and feelings. But yeah, she finally thinks of the SOS and for the first time in months, feels something other than the nagging continuous depression. She thinks that if she can go the distance, do something as extraordinary as space travel, that it will prove things can still be the same and even potentially propel her out of her depressed state. She won't have to "settle down" as she’s constantly being reminded. I don't think it was to get away from her responsibility, I think she was completely overwhelmed and conflicted because of the effects of postpartum.
Being on the moon brings her entirely new traumas. Instead of getting help and speaking out when she was on earth, she’s now literally trapped. Her isolation is, obviously, no longer in her head. Queen, I'm so sorry (as if I'm talking to her LOL). Damn, she really was stranded on the moon by herself for a decade! Her untreated depression worsens into something entirely new (PTSD...!).
She obviously loves the triplets. I think that, relatively quickly, her time on the moon, when things went from bad to worse, her idea worked in a way? It certainly was something to knock her out of her “funk” (postpartummm). The kids are her motivation to keep fighting. She would take care of them. She would make it all up. She was committed, but how the duck was she supposed to think that anything could go wrong when Scrooge McDuck built this for her? Encouraged her to go for it? He always kept her safe and so on and on and on. She tried to free herself following his example and lost everything in her search for how things used to be (insert that Frank post about Scrooge betting it all and willing to rebuild from scratch if he looses everything).
It just seems like she was dealing with a lot— especially internally. So much was happening at once. My girl got so mentally ill. Like, being alive is so complicated… Deyla… I feel like she had a lot of highs and lows, but the lows were more often, common, and longer. One day she would feel like, “This is awesome. My kids are going to be the coolest and I can't wait to show them everything,” then the following week is unending flow of, “There’s too much to do and so many ways to screw up. Why is there so much that goes into taking care of them? They can’t really expect me to stay in the mansion for months on end right? I want to take care of them. I can’t take care of them. Donald thinks he knows everything. I'm a failure. They’re just eggs. What am I supposed to do with that? Yep, I feel soooo bonded... I’m a bad mom. Why don’t I feel the way that I should?” But of course, she’s stubborn and doesn’t tell anyone. So Donald labels her as irresponsible, and Scrooge don’t really gaf tbh because he thinks it will all smooth over and be fine as soon as they hatch. Troll goes ahead and builds SOS and the rest is history. I’m not really sure where I meant to go with this. I drew fanart the other night thinking about this, rediscovered that post I reblogged, and now here I am typing the thought process of a duck that I headcanon to have had postpartum depression. This is all just random and just what I think. I'm sure there are other posts like this but I just spent all this time typing this out so I figure, why not post? Goodnight.

You said you would info dump about the treasure island Mickey au if anyone asked. Well, I am asking. If you don’t mind :)
(for context: this au here)
I was going to talk abt it when I doodled more of it, but that might be like next year or never kjkskjs so I'll do it now!!
Ok so. It's not a Treasure Island au, just some pirate au I thought while reading Treasure Island (and listening to Shiver My Timbers from Muppets Treasure Island, that song is SUCH a banger). Though it has the same aesthetics in the sense of time period and such.
Mickey here is a famous explorer and scholar who travels across the sea and writes about its misteries, creatures, islands. He's gained quite the reputation and people say he might as well guard the whole ocean inside his brain. He lives in a house a bit far from the city at the seashore, where he keeps his studies and findings such as fossils and shells.
The Phantom Blot is the captain of the Darkenblot ship and his black-stained flag is well known across the seas as belonging to the most fearsome pirate to ever set sail on them. (Pete is his first mate, Plottigat, the medic/inventor, and Scuttle and Trudy and maybe other baddies I'm forgetting about are there in his crew too)
So, there's this legend about a jewel called "The Heart of the Sea" very creative I know that allows the person who holds it to control the winds, tides, and storms. Blot wants it, and he's convinced that that famous mouse explorer knows where it is. So he has Mickey kidnapped and taken aboard.
Mickey does know some clues to where the heart might be, but he refuses to help Blot. Aftel all, the jewel would be trouble enough in the hands of some common pirate, so someone intelligent and cruel like him could only bring disaster. So Blot gives him a few days to change his mind, or he'll walk the plank.
While locked in the ship's cell, Mickey's helped by one of the pirates, who sneaks in some food and water when he can. He's suspicious at first, but soon learn that this one pirate - Donald Duck - Is not like he rest of the crew at all.
Donald was just a simple fisherman who, out of his enormous bad luck, ended up in the Drakenblot's way while fishing away from the shore. He would have been tossed overboard, but Blot noticed something about him - an almost supernatural sense of direction, and the ability to tell when the weather would change. He was too valuable to be lost, so he was forced to become one of the pirates. Or they'd harm his family (He carried a picture of his nephews with him).
So anyways after that Idk what happens exactly. I guess Mickey and Donald try to escape and Donald is almost drowned by the pirates, but when drowning he turns into a mermaid (though the design is more like a fish monster, yknow, like the ones from Pixar's Luca) and he grabs Mickey and swims away. They find Donald's uncle Scrooge who explains that Donald was a mermaid his whole life but if he knew that, the signs of his heritage would be impossible to hide (such as markings on his skin when he was in his terrestrial form idk) and that's why he hid it from him and Della (who found out she was a mermaid and had to hide leaving her sons to Donald, as she didn't want them to be chased and hunted).
Then uuuh I guess Donald, Mickey, the nephews and Scrooge (and Goofy too I want him to be there) go find the Heart of The Sea and I think the other mermaids before the pirates do, and Magica is in the au somewhere as a cool sea whitch/monster and Mickey and Donald become a couple at some point I think that's it
Thanks for the ask! <3

*EDIT: I wanted to reaffirm that I DO NOT dislike Della. She’s one of my favorite characters and I love her as a character. This is just something that occurred to me when I was rewatching the show, specifically when I got to “What Ever Happened to Della Duck” and “GlomTales.*
I can understand why people have criticized Della for the way she grounded Louie. Forcing him to stay in his room. Literally. She had Gyro program that robot, DT87, to make sure he was stuck in there.
I can’t fully justify her actions. But I can somewhat understand her mindset.
So, here’s my argument.
As a child, she was not disciplined enough or at all. Never scolded for a lot of her actions. From what we saw in “First Adventure”, she (and Donald) set a firecracker under her father’s chair which caused him to be hospitalized. It’s been established that she was already very reckless and impulsive.
That only got worse as she grew up adventuring with Scrooge who was just as bad.
Then the Spear of Selene incident happened.
Della being stuck in an isolating environment with nobody but herself is most likely the first time in her life that she actually reflected on her actions and realized how much harm she did, not just to herself but to her family, as well.
That scenario is why she thought the correct way to ground Louie was to literally keep him stuck in his room with no connection to anyone else and the inability to go anywhere else in the mansion.

I rewatched “The Richest Duck in the World!” and noticed something new. It’s only a theory, but it could easily be true, and… oh my God.
Bradford Buzzard has been working with Scrooge for about two decades or more by this episode, right? He's the CEO of McDuck Enterprises. He can overule Scrooge on business decisions and has access to and knowledge of everything, including Falcon Island, the portion of money afforded to it and that it's used for magical defence. Scrooge took the time to remove that island from all maps because he was so desperate for nobody to ever be able to meddle there. This is as top-secret as it gets. But Bradford knows. Scrooge trusts him implicitly with ALL his money. That's a lot of trust!
So Bradford almost certainly knows about the Bombie. It's hard to imagine a conversation where Scrooge told him about Falcon Island and what resources it needed without telling him why it needed them; and never before this episode has the Bombie been released due to financial strain. Not even in Scrooge and his finances' lowest point, when he was blowing through savings to search for Della, resorting to draining the Money Bin, his personal store of sentimentally valuable coins. Not even with Bradford wanting more of McDuck Enterprises' money available so he can siphon it off for FOWL. There was always, always something less important than Falcon Island.
But then Louie - an inexperienced, physically weak and unskilled eleven-year-old - becomes the richest person on Earth. On his very first morning in this position, he has to compensate for his wasteful spending by taking money from the company and Bradford immediately suggests cutting funding to the Bombie's containment measures. That is the first thing he comes up with. And he agrees to it unhesitatingly without a word of warning. This is why the entire plot of the episode happens!
Even more dammingly, he has a button specifically to deactivate the magical security system on hand at that moment. Without it, the Bombie escapes in an instant. But how did such a button come to exist in the first place? Scrooge would never have asked for it. Nobody else knew anything about Falcon Island. Bradford must have made it and connected it to that magic himself. He saw that Louie was vulnerable and wasted no time engineering his fall, unleashing a lethal threat upon him that was, as far as anyone knew, absolutely unstoppable, yet in a manner indirect enough to deflect suspicion from him.
Bradford tried to murder Louie.

TW: might get a bit angsty
TYYY okayokay SO
I was thinking abt What Ever Happened to Donald Duck? and the fact that the triplets and Scrooge were totally clueless to his disappearance and didn’t bother looking for him because they didn’t know.
But imagine José and Pancho try calling Donald (because of course Don would tell them he’s going on vacation, why wouldn’t he?) to see how he’s going and they get no response. They don’t get a response for days. And so the two meet up and decide to visit the mansion to see if everything’s okay.
And they find the travel brochure. They wander into the woods and find the dirt marks the ship left. They go nuts and turn the world upside down looking for Donald and they dig deeper and deeper- and they find out about Della and Scrooge. How it’s Scrooge’s fault that she’s gone and now Don might be gone now too. And after everything happens the two reunite w/ Donald and the triplets hear about everything they did to find him and they feel awful. Because they should’ve been looking too. But they didn’t.
I can’t get that scenario out of my head and how this could be like a wake up call for the rest to do better- to be better. To appreciate Donald a little more and worry about him a little more too. Because he deserves it.
That is a very great idea. I think I might be able to either do it as a fanfic or try to do it as a comic. I still love it. 😊
But I still feel bad for Donald.🥺

Drunk Della Duck was the Number One Reason why I wanted to write I Think We’re Alone Now! and she’s not even the main character of the story
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In my humble opinion, I don’t believe anyone who says “Oh I wasn’t myself when I said/did that last night because I was drunk” because that person is either lying to you or themselves. To me, a drunk person is just themselves unhinged
Honestly I could’ve put the whole entire bathroom scene, Della Duck singing Why Should I Worry? was the thing that made me go “Well now I have to write this story!” when I first thought of this fic and now I listen to that song pretty much weekly. I rewatched Oliver & Company because of that scene and honestly? C+ on a good day
Anyway, I just love Della’s role in this story. She’s a supportive duck and I love capturing that side of her. I mean she is out there getting drinks with friends and she’s mainly doing it so she can catch up Selene after what happened in New Gods on the Block! and showing Penumbra some Earth fun; and frankly, I think all three of them deserve to have a fun night
I’m honestly not one who goes out drinking that often. Usually other people I know suggest to do it; family, friends, coworkers, etc. I’m honestly more of a social drinker (yeah I’m definitely more of a pothead; surprise, surprise). But one thing I’ve seen plenty of times when I went out is just how awesome women are when it comes to helping out other women. I’ve seen my sisters and friend act quickly in situations when they see another woman who looks like she’s stuck in a situation she wouldn’t want to be a part of among drunk people. And to me Della is definitely that type of person
She doesn’t know Gandra or the situation she’s in but shes more than willing to help out and fight her.
She’s still in adventure mode but she’s clearly not at her best, but that still doesn’t mean her skills and intelligence should be underestimated
And yeah, one time when I was drunk at a club with some friends, I went to the bathroom and after I was done drying my hands I threw the balled up paper towels into a trash can and it went in and I said “Ohhhhhhhhhhhh!!” No one else was in the bathroom though. Hell, I even do that when I’m sober
Della yelling at the random woman is up there with favorite things I’ve ever made Della say in my fanfics
And this scene from Gandra’s point of view is just great. Caught with the enemy by the most obnoxious member of FOWL and her only ally in this mess is the Duck that got stuck on the moon for a decade

What I Think Certain DuckTales (2017) Characters Might Give A Loved One For The Holiday Season
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ok. Here I’ll be going over what presents certain DuckTales (2017) characters might give a certain loved one for the Holiday Season. Also, Spoiler Alert for the DuckTales (2017) TV series. With that out of the way, let’s dive right in.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The type of gift Goldie might give Louie might depend on their shared love for treasure. So, I think that Goldie might steal one of the valuables kept in Doofus Drake’s house and give it to Louie for the Holiday Season. After all, as shown in the episode ‘Happy Birthday Doofus Drake!’, conning Doofus Drake was the first time that Goldie and Louie formed a connection. And also, as shown in the episode ‘Day Of The Only Child!’, Louie knew that one of Doofus Drake’s aforementioned valuables was worth a lot. So, Louie would really appreciate that gift.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lena seems to like writing as shown in the episode ‘The Beagle Boy Breakout!’ where she wrote quite a few notes and put them in bottles in the water. And, as shown in the episode ‘The Shadow War Part 2: The Day Of The Ducks!’, Lena wrote a poem to describe how she was brought into existence. So, for the Holiday Season, I think that Lena might write Webby a note that poetically describes how grateful she is for having her in her life. And I think that the note Lena writes to Webby might be something around the lines of this:
Dear Webby,
Years ago, this snow woman that is me was molded from the snow that is the magic I’m made of with nothing on her but what seemed to be a permanent frown on her face. But then you, the sun in the sky, came along. You could’ve used your radiating heat to melt this snow woman away. But instead, you melted some of the snow around this snow woman revealing the sticks, hat and especially the scarf that lied beneath. That allowed this snow woman to take her new stick arms and stand up to and shove aside this snow woman’s evil creator. To put on her hat and distinguish herself from the rest of the snow around her. And what this snow woman is most grateful for. To feel the warmth of the scarf that is the bond we have with each other. Thank you, Webby. You really helped me out. Thank you so much.

As stated in the episode ‘Let’s Get Dangerous! Part 1: The St. Canardian Guardian!’, Gosalyn’s grandfather went missing and she wanted to find him. And, as shown in the episode ‘Let’s Get Dangerous! Part 2: A Case Of Mistaken Reality!’, Drake wanted to help Gosalyn reunite with her grandfather. But since, as also shown in the episode ‘Let’s Get Dangerous! Part 2: A Case Of Mistaken Reality!’, Gosalyn’s grandfather is lost in another dimension and the portal was destroyed, Drake might try the next best thing and try to find anything that her grandfather left behind like a journal for example and give it to Gosalyn for the Holiday Season.

As shown in the episode ‘What Ever Happened To Della Duck?!’, Della knew a thing or 2 about building stuff since she did make a prosthetic for herself. And, as shown in the episode ‘They Put A Moonlander On The Earth!’, Penumbra is fierce but also learned to have fun. So, for the Holiday Season, Della might make Penumbra a sleigh and show her some hills and mountains she can sleigh down. And considering that, as shown in the episode ‘The First Adventure!’, Della was very enthusiastic about going on daring adventures even as a kid, she will likely join Penumbra on the sleighing trip.
Well, that’s all for this post.
See you all next time.

I’ve been working hard on my new fanfic of Ducktales. It takes place after the series. And I decided to show you all a sneak peek of it. Enjoy!
It's...all over. F.O.W.L has been defeated.
The adventures of Scrooge McDuck has come to an end. As the McDuck family and all of their friends were all riding the sunchaser home, Scrooge was the only one who was trying to keep himself awake as he watched Donald and Della sleeping beside him. Everyone in the plane was also sleeping. The kids and Mrs. Beakley were all cuddled up together.
As they almost reached McDuck Manor, the duck family decided to let their friends stay to have a well deserved rest. Donald also wanted to bring May and June so that he can have them meet Daisy. While Launchpad was taking the wheel, he turned around, even though he's not supposed to while driving, he looked at everyone sleeping and gave out a smile. He'll surely never forget the day that he went all out being a hero in that Gizmoduck gear.
"Launchpad!" Della yelled as she took the wheel. "Do I have to do everything myself?!" She groaned. Nobody would want another crash like what happened when Launchpad accidentally opened the back door of the plane that made everyone fly out. She gave out a sigh.
When they arrived, they all walked to the front door of the mansion. Everyone just wants to sleep after a long battle that they've faced.
"Night, Mr. McDee. I gotta get home to watch the Darkwing Duck marathon!"
"I had to face F.O.W.L on my own, Donald almost died, and you want to watch Darkwing Duck at TWO IN THE MORNING?!"
Donald shushed at Scrooge and Launchpad. "The kids are sleeping!" He whispered as he looked at May and June sleeping. "Awwwww." He carried them to the mansion.
Scrooge sighed. He noticed that Launchpad had left, meaning that he is the only one left outside. He looked up to the stars. Suddenly, he reminded himself of his past. The last couple of years have been frightening for him and his family. From the shadow war, to the alien invasion, and to the point where the world was almost erased from an evil organization.
Everything that man that he trusted all those years discovered his true colors in front of him.
Especially when he was the one who was behind Della’s disappearance. Scrooge will never forgive someone like Bradford ever again. After what happened today, he's wondering what will happen to his future of being an adventurer. He entered the mansion and closed the door. The kids heard Scrooge come in.
He took a few steps forward to his family. Everyone was silent. Each of them wanted to say something, but they didn’t have the strength to do it. It shows that everyone has had it hard yesterday. Scrooge took a deep breath.
“How’s…everyone doing?” He asked.
Webby looked up to her father. “…We’re fine, now that we’re all safe at home.”
“It sure was tough dropping everyone off tho.” Dewey stretched his arms.
“Yeah…”
"We're just glad that we took down F.O.W.L together. As a family," Huey added.
“And I’m so glad that my dad is safe too.” Webby jumped and hugged Scrooge.
“…Thank goodness…” A tear dropped from the old man’s eye and he began to sob.
“…Dad?”
“I’m sorry…I just…can’t even get over the fact that I’m a dad now… and I’m just glad that everyone is alright.” Scrooge swiped his tears away.
“Of course we are!” Della exclaimed. “Nothing can tear us apart now, Uncle Scrooge!”
Donald agreed. “You said it! We’ll always be with you. No matter what.”
“We had to save you, because you’re our uncle!” Dewey gives Scrooge a hug. “You’ve done so much for us, and now we want to return the favor to you. We are the Duck family after all. Right, guys?”
Everyone nodded in agreement and huddled together for a group hug. Mrs. Beakley checked the time and it was close to 3 A.M.
“We should all rest. We’ve been through too much yesterday. Even the past eleven years.” She said.
Everyone agreed. They were ready to get to sleep in their bedrooms, but Webby didn’t want to feel alone after what she’s been through. She stopped Scrooge.
“Hey, dad? You don’t mind if I…sleep with you?” Webby asked.
“Of course, Webby darling.”
After Scrooge and Webby changed into their pajamas, they cuddled up in bed together.
“Goodnight, dad.” Webby gives Scrooge a kiss on the cheek.
Scrooge smiled. “Goodnight, Webby.”
Webby turned off the light of the lamp. They both closed their eyes and went to sleep, until there was more than one footstep being heard from the hallway. The bedroom door opened as some people were sneaking around in the blanket. Webby turned the lamp back on and saw Huey, Dewey, Louie, Donald and Della on the bed with them.
“Wha?!” Scrooge caught the others on his bed. They gave out an innocent smile and some awkward laughs.
Della cleared her throat. “Uncle Scrooge? Can we all uhhhh….”
“Fine. Just for tonight.”
“Well it’s past midnight actually.” Huey clarified.
“Anyone wanna sleep in?” Dewey asked.
Louie nodded. “Everyday.”
“I could sure use it.”
Webby gave out a smile. “Us too.”
“Alright. Goodnight, kids.” Scrooge closed his eyes.
Everyone cuddled up with Scrooge. “Goodnight, Uncle Scrooge.”
And with that, everyone has fallen asleep. By the look on Scrooge’s smile, he really needed his kids to comfort him. He felt so lucky to have an amazing family. While everyone was asleep, Della suddenly remembered that Donald was leaving for his adventure with Daisy soon. She closed her eyes and cried herself to sleep. After all the adventures they’ve been through and including their very last, the duck family and their friends slept for over a day.
