WEGO x Tamagotchi Second Collection

The first collaboration was so popular, they had to do it again! Is this technically the fall 2023 collection? The folks over at WEGO, the popular Japanese retailer, have partnered up again with Bandai Japan to release another collection.

The second collection appears to be more focused on the Tamagotchi Original P1 and P2, as well as the Tamagotchi Angel. The collection features new rubber coin cases for ¥879 including tax, and features 8 patterns including some Tamagotchi Original and Tamagotchi Angel characters.

Next we have die cut stickers which are ¥439 including tax, and feature 11 patterns from Tamagotchi Original and Tamagotchi Angel.

Then you’ve got holographic stickers for 879 including tax in 3 patterns featuring Tamagotchi Original and Tamagotchi Angel characters.

Next up is the mirror for Mirror ¥1,649 including tax, 5 styles total which are Tamagotchi Original and Tamagotchi Angel shells.

Then we’ve got a backpack! For ¥4,399 including tax, you can wear a Tamagotchi Angel on your back, how awesome is that? There are 3 styles total. Last, but not least are Tamagotchi Angel shirts, 3 different styles for ¥3,849 including tax.

We literally need this entire collection. WEGO online store preorders start on Friday, September 8th, 2023 at 18:00! Regular sales start on Friday, September 15th, 2023. As someone who is rewriting a Team Go origin story, I must make my first post on how I’ve seen some Team Go origin stories (as well as their characters) written, a guide if you will:

GoParents:

Most superhero stories have some sort of tragedy in it, so it is vital that Team Go cannot have a happy backstory. Absolutely not. Their parents are either dead or terrible, or both. Go as far as you want with the awfulness. Seriously - they are not to be from a stable family background. That is forbidden. Also you’re not allowed to go into depth about the consequences about them being dead, terrible, or both. You’re not allowed to see how this affects Team Go’s psyches for each of them, and how that impacts the choices these characters make, because such character development is unacceptable. You just state that they’re dead, terrible, or both - and that’s it, because that should be enough.

Hego:

Must be the oldest. This is an absolute must. This is because he is seen as the leader of Team Go and is a very large man. Never-mind that siblings can be different sizes. He must be the oldest. He is also a mother hen, because remember, Team Go’s parents are either dead or terrible, or both. So he is likely in charge of raising his siblings. Also, it is important that you either write him as a goody-goody, overly cartoonish and dumb... or you can go the complete opposite route and make him downright menacing, usually homophobic and crazily evangelical. Yes, this is something that I’ve seen. Because Shego is queer-coded - and we need to create “conflict” on why they broke up Team Go, so homophobia could be the only possible answer. Never mind that Shego directly states that it’s because her brothers are a pain-in-the-butt. Also don’t make Hego a nuanced character that makes mistakes every now and then - other than the homophobia, of course - because he is the leader of Team Go, therefore he is perfect. He is raising his siblings because of his terrible-dead parents that isn’t explored, so he’s obviously going to be a great person and not make any mistakes whatsoever despite the fact that he’s barely an adult. You cannot explore his internal struggles of raising his siblings due to his terrible-dead parents, because Hego doesn’t have any in Team Go origin stories - he is perfect and mentally well.

Mego:

Now when it comes to the ages of Team Go, you can go either route of making him older or younger than Shego, or make them twins. Though the twins route is not recommended, as it takes away from the Wegos which we will get to in a minute. He will either be very close with Shego or despise her pre-Team Go - either route is fine. Completely ignore the fact that they have similar personas and team up against Hego, despite the fact that siblings do that. Actually, completely ignore sibling dynamics altogether, that’s not important in Team Go origin stories. Now, we know that Mego is seen as the selfish one of Team Go, but don’t bother exploring why that is - it’s unimportant in Team Go origin stories, because god-forbid we get a nuanced Team Go brother. In fact, just make him selfish right from the get-go and make that his entire personality. It’ll be easier for everyone. The way you can do this is italicizing every time he says “I” or “Me” or “Mine”. You can do it, such as: “I”,  “Me”, or “Mine.” Notice the italicization. You are also absolutely forbidden to have him have little moments of selflessness, because remember, him being selfish is his entire personality. He has no other personality other than that and being whiny. Don’t bother exploring that, because that’s just how it is. You can make him mean, but not too mean, because obviously that role of being the meanest goes to Shego - and speaking of Shego...

Shego:

Here’s where things get interesting. When you’re writing Shego pre-comet, it is absolutely vital - vital, I say - that you either make her full of rage or the sweetest child on the planet. There is no in-between. Writing her as the sweetest child builds “character” and shows “Look how awful, the comet changed her!” despite the fact that her brothers state in canon that she’s always been this cranky. Completely disregard that. If you are going down the “full of rage” route, it is important that you make her be mean to her brothers all the time. Ignore the fact that Shego went to help her brothers then purposely lost her brothers’ powers because she couldn’t betray them. She hates her brothers, absolutely hates them - as you must repeat at least three times per chapter. Hego the most, especially. She doesn’t just hate Hego, she despises him straight from the beginning. She will have to say that Hego is bossy, Mego is selfish, and the Wegos are annoying at least twice per paragraph. Just keep her as the Shego you see in canon, it’s simple that way. You must describe her as a bitch if you go this route, though. In fact, that’s highly encouraged - especially when writing her as a mean “popular” girl. Disregard that pre-comet she is a child/teenager - and teenagers have other emotions other than rage. Even Shego. She is not allowed to cry or be upset about silly things - even though when she is a child/teen those “silly” things are actually big things to her. Ignore the psychology around it all - it is unimportant. Because Shego is the only woman in Team Go, therefore she is a bitch. Never explain why - she just is.

Wego(s):

The youngest members of Team Go, which is canon. Okay so... I don’t know if you know this, but writing the Wegos as separate characters when they get older is not allowed. They are twins, and that is their entire personality - because, remember, nuanced Team Go brothers don’t exist. In fact, don’t even give them names and refer to them as Wego One and Wego Two. You have to have them finish each other’s sentences and speak at the same time, because that’s what twins do. The way you can do this is:  “Hi...” said Wego One.  “...Shego...” finished Wego Two. Or: ”Hi Shego!” said Wego. Notice that “Wego One” and “Wego Two” are incorporated, and how when speaking simultaneously they are just referred to as “Wego”. Because the Wegos are not allowed to be different from each other. They are twins, and individuality is not allowed when writing twins. Do not, I repeat do not, give them separate storylines. Wego One and Wego Two are total cinnamon rolls, and they’re not allowed to have moments of being sassy, snippy, or mean. They are the sweetest little angels to ever walk the earth, even though little brothers can be annoying troublemakers (a la Jim and Tim). You can never have them be mean, not once. Ignore that they were probably raised by their siblings that have the teensiest bit of personality to them, which is sass and snark - as that couldn’t possibly have an influence to them whatsoever. They are naive and gullible, happy-go-lucky. 

I hope this guide helped! Don’t get me wrong, I love Team Go stories (and I even implement some of this obviously sarcastic stuff into my story) but often times I see Team Go brothers written in a purely one-dimensional way and I despise it.

That Graduation story I’ve yet to complete..

Alright, those of you who listen to my random trivial rants know I have long planned a Graduation 2.0 or a re-due with far more details and longer story line... but I never get around to it... but I have some things written. One of the major things is the heroes working together with the villains... LIKE IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE!

Anyways, one of my favorite parts was one where Motor Ed and Hego team up.

Yes Team Go, the Vills, and Team Possible's crew are all THERE... and this is before Drakken's plan... this is just the rescue mission. 

Alright build up to this part. The government is not letting them take the rocket ship because of many reasons... Its billions of dollars worth of equipment... there not risking it for a one way suicide rescue mission. And honestly they plan on blowing the Lawardian ship out of the sky. Kim and Drakken be damned. Two lives outweigh the lives of the planet.

Now with the help of some tech villains and Wade, they've managed to shut down the missiles... and take over the government building. ALL are considered threats now and are to be apprehend... but like... Global Justice is delaying all the gov officials because of Kim. The Vill's are there to help Drakken and Shego... and yeah... its a lot of BS... 

But one thing is the ship Ron and Shego are taking... the engine wasn't completed or if it was it was sabatoshed by one of the officials before the Wego's and Duff knocked them out with exploding golf clubs... so here's the scene.

“The rocket's not even starting!” yelled Shego over the onboard camera.

“Are you pushing the right button...” Ron begins as he leans over her.

She shoves him aside.

“I found the problem,” cringes Wade. He pulls of a scan of the ship, “The engine has been disabled. There are several parts missing,”

“How long will that take,” barked Shego, “We're running out of time.”

“Hold up. Do we have the blueprints for that thing?” asks Motor Ed. He leaned over Wade, “Possible?”

“There should be. Wade, see if you can access the files,” says James, “It should be under--”

“Got it,” replies Wade as a screen pops up, “I'm not finding engine blue prints.”

“Check under fragments,” said Electronique from where she is still controlling the perimeter security, “They probably deleted it. It may have not been done right and they were saving face.”

“Of course. No scientist wants to admit fault,” Wade pulls up a glitched image, “That's the best I got.”

“Seriously. That's it?” says Motor Ed with a smirk, “Piece of cake. Half those parts are in basic rockets.”

“How do you know this?” asks Hego as he comes in the doorway, “I bent the door. No one is getting in from the third hallway.”

“Seriously. I'm one of the top mechanics in the world,” smirks Motor Ed.

“Seriously?” there is a series of responses from different areas.

“Maybe I'm exaggerating,” nods Motor Ed, “I AM the best.”

“Nice intro,” came Ron over the camera, “But could you maybe do something?”

“Sometimes I remember he and Drakken are related,” sighs Shego as she shakes her head, “Enough Ego stroking. Just fix it.” “Chill out Green,” snaps Motor Ed.

“One problem, the access to the engine is under the rocket. We'd need to get it up on a lift,” interjected Wade, “That could take hours to clear out that area.”

“We don't have hours!” snapped Shego, “We have one.”

“How heavy is that ship?” asks Hego. Wade typed away.

“Roughly three school buses,” says Wade. He grins at Hego.

Hego nodded and looked over towards Motor Ed.

“I can lift it if you can fix it,” grins Hego.

“Seriously?” asks Motor Ed with wide eyes.

“Seriously.” Hego cracks his now glowing knuckles.

WANT TO BUY: THIS PLUSH CROCODILE

This is a bit of a strange post but here we go!

I have this childhood toy plush crocodile since I’m guessing I was 5 years old? Last time I went back to America to visit my dad, I took him back home with me. I just kind of randomly remembered him and found him waiting for me in a basket when I searched for him:

My husband/Paul/@younowwantcheeseontoast​ and I became smitten with this lovely toy Croccy and named him “Buddy” and started searching online for more of him. It was a bit difficult because I had cut off the tush tag from him, so Paul really dug through Google for hours until he found an eBay auction selling the same plush:

Turns out he was made by the company American Wego with the label “22′ Crocodile 1055″. This crocodile plush was slightly different from mine though! He has a different very soft fabric and isn’t as firmly stuffed as Buddy. So we named him “Soft“.

Now that we had a company name, we had a search for more and soon found another:

Except this time, he had a different tag entirely! This one was made by Fiesta toys. It looks like at some point, America Wego was bought up or merged by Fiesta. However they use the same bear logo and item number/name. Made in a different country though.

This fella was more like Buddy, however isn’t nearly as wrinkly and not as curly of a tail. We named him “Baby” because he’s got a cheeky smile and just looks like a baby to us.

We found a fourth crocodile a while afterwards:

This fella was in a very loved condition but we’ve fluffed him up as much as we could, he’s looking good now. Again, slight differences between the other crocodile plushes. His eyes are a bit popped out and he’s got a slim nose, so we’ve named him “Nosey”.

His tush tag is extremely faded so it’s hard to see at all, but he was also from America wego, but still had a slightly different tush tag design from the others!

In between getting all of these guys, we’ve found other plush crocodiles from other companies that had either ripped off or reused the same pattern used in the Fiesta/America Wego crocodiles! These guys we have dubbed to be “Croccy Cousins”:

This fella we named “Toothy” because well, he’s got beautiful big teeth. He’s made by a company named “Good Stuff”. He’s got a lot of differences from Wego crocodiles, but you can tell that it was based on the same toy pattern!

This fella we’ve named “Chunky” due to his size. He was made by Cascade Toys and is far bigger than the Wego plushes! Beyond different plastic eyes and his size, the pattern is damn near the same as the Wego crocodiles. Oddly enough, his hangtag was for the Crocodile Hunter and Animal planet.

Cascade Toys also reused this pattern to make various flat puppet plushes as well.

We also found this lil gal! We’ve named her “Pickle” and she was made by the company Ganz. She’s got a little motorized pull string and is absolutely tiny compared to all the other crocs, but you can tell that once again, it’s based on the same plush toy pattern, just downsized a lot.

Ganz also repurposed the pattern to make a beanbag plush croc as well.

And here is where I ask for help. We haven’t been able to find any other America Wego/Fiesta toys crocodile plushes in a long time now, and we really REALLY want to have more for our goofy crocodile family. Like, seriously, it’s a croccy family, we roleplay with them and they all have their own little personalities. We’re dumb.

So we’re willing to put out a bounty for them and pay $40 USD (or the equivalent in your local currency) for each Wego/Fiesta crocodile! We will pay for shipping as well of course. If you just happen to have one of these plushes, or stumble upon one at a goodwill or garage sale etc., please sell them to us! We’d really appreciate it.

We will also buy some of what we’ve dubbed the Croccy Cousins, the toys from other companies that rip off the pattern. This will be on a case by case basis since some of them seem fairly common, but we’re always out for more. If you end up having a croc/gator plush that looks similar, feel free to contact me and show me! I may just buy them.

All Hi Fly Flights Now Single-Use Plastic Free

Hi Fly, a leading wet-lease carrier, has worked hard to replace any single-use plastic items on board with more environmentally friendly options. This includes bamboo cutlery, cups, spoons, and salt and pepper shakers, while packaging for bedding, dishes, individual butter pots, soft drink bottles and toothbrushes have been replaced with compostable alternatives crafted from recycled material. The company operated its first ever 'plastic-free' trial flight when it took passengers on a Boxing Day trip from the carrier's base in Lisbon to Natal, Brazil, on an Airbus A340 in December 2018. This was quickly followed with three further 'plastic-free' test flights in addition to a series of 12 reduced plastic journeys.

These flight tests determined that every commercial passenger long haul flight that takes to the air with no single-use plastic items on board prevents around 350 kg of single-use, virtually indestructible plastic from poisoning our environment. When scaling this up to take account of Hi Fly’s global operations, then the difference becomes significant. Hi Fly President, Paulo Mirpuri, said, “We pledged at the time of our historic Hi Fly test flights, without any single-use plastic items on board that we would make Hi Fly the world’s first ‘plastic-free’ airline within 12 months. We knew that if we worked hard to overcome the problems that it was 100% possible. More importantly, in our hearts, we knew it was much more than that. We knew that this was a necessary move for the future of our planet. We are excited and we are proud, but we were never in doubt.” “Over 100,000 flights take off each day around the world and, last year, commercial aircraft carried nearly four billion passengers. This number is expected to double again in less than 20 years. So, the potential to make a difference here is clear,” added Mr. Mirpuri. “We take our commitment very seriously." The ambitious project delivers scenes from nature — lizards, sloths, snakes, birds, and other wildlife that coexist in all five levels of the biodome.

The temperature and humidity level are also fine-tuned to recreate the experience of walking through a tropical rainforest.

You get to essentially tour a different ecosystem level by level, observe the animals and even interact with them, as toucan, macaw, and other exotic birds fly among the branches.

The whole experience can be rather surreal, but good fun nonetheless. It definitely is something you need to see on your own.

7. Al Qudra Lakes, Dubai

Just a 30-minute drive from Dubai and you’ll arrive at this manmade desert oasis. 

At these lakes, you can expect to spot fox and onyx, plus numerous birds — swans, ducks, flamingos, and more. There are more than 200 species of birds here, including the endangered Steppe Eagle and the Asian Houbara! Join a tour, or explore on your own.

The lakes are a popular spot for picnicking and BBQ’ing, so you won’t have the area to yourself. Many people even camp here, which would give you the opportunity to witness both sunset and sunrise.

The Art Gallery of Ontario

Your phone can’t exactly give you CPR, but if someone needs medical attention, it can tell you what to do. Of course, your first course of action should be to call 911 and get advice from a professional. Then, as you’re waiting for the ambulance to arrive, these apps can lend a hand—even if you don’t have phone service.

Offline Survival Manual (free for Android) will protect you in the great outdoors. It provides excellent first-aid information on topics like bites, stings, and environmental injuries. These apps will help you send a digital SOS if you suspect you’re in danger. Again, we always recommend trying to contact official emergency services before you do anything else, but if you need a backup, try one of these genuinely useful options.

Life360 (free for Android and iOS) is an all-in-one tracking system that lets users know where their loved ones are at any given time. This tracking function works in the background, but if you need to call for help, you can send an alert to your circle of friends and family members to tell them something’s wrong. The company also offers a $3/month paid version of this system, which provides a longer location history and additional alerts.

Kitestring (free on the web) is a service (it’s not an app, but it does work over text messages) you can use if you’re worried you might be heading into danger. You set a time when you want Kitestring to check in, and it will text you then. If you don’t respond to the Kitestring message, it alerts a pre-selected contact so that person can check up on you.

React Mobile (free for Android and iOS) can help you in situations ranging from the slightly uncomfortable to the downright dangerous. Depending on where you live, you may regularly have to deal with hurricanes, wildfires, earthquakes, or other natural disasters. If you’re living or traveling in a region where these events happen frequently, you should stock up on one of these emergency apps.

My car was rear ended while parked in front of my house and insurance has declared it a total loss. We have been going back and forth on the value of the car and have finally gotten them to a value that we agree with but we disagree with how much they are taking off for previous damage to the car. Back in April I was driving and a lady tried switching lanes and struck my vehicle. I immediately went to an auto body shop and got an estimate for the damage, they took photos and everything. So they had to charge us more so we wouldn't have to pay 2 bills in 1 month. I am so confused it seems like were making an extra payment for nothing. 600cc sports bike good for a beginner? gsxr600 or zx6r?

ive never ridin a motorrcycle before and im looking at getting a gsx-r600 or zx6r. Im taking the safety course which is 10 hours of riding and 5 of classes which i realize isnt a lot. I drive stick shift cars so i get the point of shifting the bike. Ive ridin a dirtbike once and quads once but i seem to be a natural on anything with a motor so im not nervous at all about getting a racing bike starting. A lot of people say a 600 is to big for a first bike but i know people that have them and say they arent that bad as long as you dont drive it like an asshole. I plan on really taking it veryyyyy easy the first summer out and not pushing anything untill i feel extremly comfortable with it. My question is should i get this for a first bike? Im not getting a 250 dont even bother with that. Ive seen the 650's which are more begginer friendly but i just feel ill outgrow that within the first year and ill lose my money by selling it and buying a 600 instead of getting the 600 in the first place
