he’s also a drag queen.

i always think it's a little bit funny when ppl in the comments of bob's burgers cast interviews say that their personalities/appearances are all so similar to their characters bcuz like Yeah. that's because the characters were created around the voice actors they had already cast to play them and not the other way around. they were ALL inspired by their voice actors personalities and comedic styles. they've been very open about that lmao

Robert Shaw acts as the Pimpernel's loyal right hand man, Lord Anthony Dewhurst, in The Adventures of the Scarlet Pimpernel: The Hostage (1.1, ITP, 1955)
#fave spotting#robert shaw#the adventures of the scarlet pimpernel#classic tv#itp#itc#1955#more info on this series (and why it's an ITP production but also ITC) in the tags on my prev Pat Troughton fave spotting post#Robert wasn't quite a newcomer at this point‚ having been acting onscreen for a couple of years by now‚ but he certainly#hadn't made it yet; this might have been his big break‚ except that his character never reappears after this first episode#i suspect this acted as a pilot‚ with some of the establishing footage reappearing in a later ep and with Shaw's character being#replaced for the series by two helpers for the Pimpernel‚ played by Pat Troughton and Anthony Newlands#quite why Bob left idk; there isn't a huge amount of information out there about this near 70 yr old bit of tv obscurity#but he did alright; the following year he'd take the lead in one of ITC's next ventures The Buccaneers and shortly after that#he'd start landing film roles that would ultimately catapult him to Hollywood and to big screen immortality#added to which of course he was already making a name for himself on the english stage (and by the end of the decade he'd be adding#novelist to his list of accomplishments). he's very good here tho naturally falling into a supporting role; he's there to look#impressed by Goring's genius and feats of bravery and to occasionally lend a hand in a fight. i do think Troughton and Newlands#get more character to play with in their parts but then they get multiple appearances to help them with it#The Buccaneers is on my shelf where it has sat for some years now... one day... one day....

Let Me Make You Proud is such a Ted song. Nobody can change my mind on this. It just is.
And the way he??? Legit has a villain arc in canon??? The cain's not able alt. route ted is ripe for the taking, might as well use him >:D
Accidentally encasing felix would absolutely lead to him doing anything to get his brother back, especially since they've spent years more time together here and felix isn't plotting to murder him. their relationship is,,, kinda stiff, but ted loves him and he's all he has :(
then he gets lumped in a prison cell with nugget and overthrows a country :)

i just finished watching 'the greatest night in pop,' and i'd like to preface this by saying that while i've always been more interested in band aid, i considered both band aid and usa for africa to be in that "well-meant, but a bit tone-deaf" league.
anyway, the documentary is actually really, really good!! it made me feel like a fly on the wall with all these 80s icons that i'm very fond of (the 80s are easily my favorite music decade). but amidst the bombast of "omg everyone is here," i mostly loved the little things??
lionel richie's heartfelt speech at the end was a beautiful ending chord to the doc; bob dylan really wanting to do his very best was actually endearing and puts more context to the meme-worthy out of placeness of him; and diana ross staying the longest and crying because she didn't want it to be over. also loved huey lewis, sheila e and cyndi lauper displaying their insecurities around all these music greats. and bruce was so cute 🥰🥰
it really showed these people at their very human, and it showed how well-intentioned (for most of them) the song was. gosh. do i actually like this song now??

If someone tells you their name is [name], then that's their fucking name. Stop trying to find out what "their actual name" is
So-
I'm having a birthday party this Saturday, (it's also a friend's nameday and we decided to celebrate it together) So we made a group chat with everyone to invite them.
We mostly have common friends so like, approximately 10 of the kids are our common friends, 5 are mine and 5 are hers
But it's cool cause we all go to the same school so yknow, not everyone is that close but we'll manage
Except one person, I invited someone that my classmates don't know, actually 2 of them know this person and have been friends for years (I met this person through them) and my best friend has also met this person one or twice
So we're gonna name this person Bob, so, Bob is not a greek name.
Today one of my friends was like who is this "usernameman guy?"
And she was talking with my friend who's met the guy and my friend was like his name is Bob
But she was like "There's no way his name is bob" so that's why they called me and asked me what usernameman's name actually was and I'm like "it's bob"
"But how can it be bob? His parents named him that?"
"That's what he introduced himself to me as. I guess it may be a nickname but that's how people call him so"
"Well I'm gonna call him Mpampi then"(or something very greek starting with the letter of the guy's actual name)
"His name is Bob"
...
Like. Ok. I know- I can tell, Bob is not the name he was given by his parents, I know his very greek last name. I've overheard people calling him by a different Greek name.
Still. He introduced himself as Bob. Their Instagram bio has "Call me Bob, they/she/he" and fanart with the non binary flag as a photo profile
In greek you can't really refer to someone with they/them so they're always referred with he/him pronouns (tho I've noticed sometimes they use feminine words for themselves like καλή) honestly I've been meaning to ask if they would also like to be called η Bob instead of ο Bob etc
My friend dropped the subject assuming I just don't know "his actual name"
But later as we were waiting for the bus one of their friends (I mentioned above I met this person through 2 other people) was there so my friend was like "oh he must know! [Dude] do you know what is usernameman's name?"
And all 3 of us(me, dude and my best friend) replied together that it's Bob
"That can't be his name! Dude whats his name?"
Dude: "it's... Bob"
"Are you kidding me how can it be Bob?!"
At that point my best friend snapped like "What's gotten into you my[girl]? Can you just drop it? The human is named bob" (Μπομπ τον λένε τον άνθρωπο, sounds more friendly in greek)
At that time Dude's parents arrived so he left but I saw his face. He didn't want to have that conversation
I'm sure he knows "his actual name" since they've been friends for years
But if the person introduces themselves as fucking Bob then call them Bob, why you gotta ask everyone

You’ve mentioned Worst Mom doesn’t call her kids by name. Is there a complete list of her titles for them? Or only Rhea, Seteth, and Flayn?
lel
Worst mom mentions the titles for the Aegis Shield and Areadbhar - but bar that?
Nothing.
I suppose Macuil'n'Indech's titles are already known by anyone who already played 3 Houses, but it's still a massive and, imo, major letdown from the devs on her part.
Like, imagine Ena calling her lover "Goldoa's First Prince" and Rajaion only being known as "Goldoa's First Prince".
Rajaion had a name, a sprite, a lover, a younger sister and a younger brother, a father and in the sequel, a posthumous son!
Whoever was turned into Freikugel has no name, no title and is only known as the Relic associated to Goneril, the guy who drank his liver.
It's as if Rajaion was only known as "Ashnard's mount".
I expected more of IS and am terribly disappointed, this is not what we were used to. Let it be the Doylist or Watsonian analysis, Worst Mom encompasses this general "dgaf" about Nabateans, which is just very cruel when you consider how much Rhea cares, and thinks Sothis cares.
Hell, IS doesn't even know on which foot to dance here, why releasing the OST with a cover between Rhea and her failure of a mother were they apparently are spending some nice time together, with some "always thinking about you" line, when in both games, Sothis doesn't give any fucks about her children, completing the earlier's game propaganda regarding 3 Nopes by deshumanising them bcs she doesn't even namedrops her own children.
One might even wonder if Sothis isn't more pissed on Billy's behalf because Jerry died (quick, bring me an onion) than for what tragedy befell the children she will never name.
Rhea's all "I wanted to see my Mother for her to hug me again one last time?"
Sothis's only interaction is some "Good job Immaculate One, you really killed those randoms!".
That's not what everyone expected from a reunion with a Sothis who has her memories.
