Sure, why not? I'll post here today!
I want to make a YTP style mash up of Next Gen. It'll include all the TNG edits I've ever done, which should probably include some of the action figure stuff.
For all of a few dozen seconds, I've thought about that commentary from Move Along Home, and... something from TNG that I've already forgotten about, but I thought about recutting the Sherlock Holmes scenes into a opening credits for "HOLMES", with the House theme music, etc... my idea came afterward.
But after this accidentally redacted content, I thought about the Q court scene from Encounter at Farpoint and All Good Things, and doing it in action figure, with "Q" talking to Greta, Douglas, and Trent, who might not even be going by their names, but their actors' names- Rachael, Floyd, and Wyatt.
We put the "Q" in Judy Quort! Except it's just regular TNG action figure Q with the uniform, but he's floating around against The Holy Guts, and some other imagery, and so, there's this premise of a test, but it won't be the mission at Farpoint, it'll be told in the Star Trek content produced so far in addtion to more stuff which can be used to help give all this footage a theme, and maybe even recreate some scenes from the episodes.
And this is the missing puzzle piece, the obvious one: Heart of Glory. That's the Geordi-Vision episode. Look over at Data! And so we shall, and I hope...
YES!
There should be a behind the scenes segment. I don't know how or why- Newton is asleep, or Moxie is tripping on substances that I will need a science consultant to get the name of the thing right, but that's where the stranger things could be happening: Moxie is tripping balls and it's the VCR board game. Newton or Herman dreams of The Bionic Bunny Show- YEAH! Take that spare Geordi action figure I have and turn him into a proper LeVar, just add some stuff to his uniform to make a puffy late 80s professional looking sweater, which, of course, is going to have a dress shirt underneath and poking from the collar, and jeans with a belt, because god damn you if you dress even the slightest for comfort.
That's the kind of AFB project I'd want to do right now, and it can also take care of that other itch- the mash up. I still don't know what I'd make, though. I just don't, though recreating TNG scenes with action figures sound exciting...
How about we find out that we're in Judy Quort because The Gang is a defendant, but defendant against whom?
A class action lawsuit? We see:
Newton, right?
Or, in a shock twist, it's Herman. Maybe we don't even see who it is until the end.
Okay, here it is:
I'm going to contnue brainstorming offline.
OFF-LINE BRAINSTORM:
Heavy Metal Zoom Quilt down to the Cascadia, where on the surface of the enormous spacecraft, four astronauts exit a pressure corridor onto the surface. It is quickly revealed that they are just out there to watch more Star Trek. It can go to something custom, something that’s a mix of animation and episode, or it’s just episode commentary. But it’s like the music videos from Beavis and Butthead… AS ORIGINALLY INTENDED! So, there’s an ongoing plot, maybe several, going around involving Douglas being taken to Judy Quort, and it may even shift between the case itself, the “commentary” scenes with the action figures watching and commenting, and so forth, different layers of reality.
USS Syracuse
REGISTER: Epsilon Eridani
REGISTERY No.: EASS-7141-9
DDSMV ID #: 10f7-119d-7338-bc6f
Mo’Bile Class Starliner
COLOR: WHITE
UPTIME: 165 years, 1 month, 6 days, local time
DESTINATION: Civil Bend Sector, Labyrinth H Reach, Greater Milky Way
Deep zoom to the surface, which becomes increasingly textured, until we see some kind of maze like pattern appear in black against the white surface. It goes all the way until we are on the surface of the ship, and we are facing the black face to face. It’s a long corridor of VHS tape. The astronauts- Douglas, Greta, Trent, and Moxie, exit. Get your coughs out and your food down! It’s time…!
We start with new versions of “Move Along Home”, and perhaps some other commentaries cut, allowing for getting the best of segments, like Dorsey Batteries (AGT), which could make use of the AGT action figures.
A scene could be used for the end to “Code of Honor”, and we get that one scene in HD. The aliens are extremely diversified- all weird alien species, odd pairings and role selection! Do we use this scene?
Then there is Judy Quort, which then goes back to the perspective of commentary.
Eventually, it gets weird when they happen upon a channel or video after a “I want to watch something else” break plays out, and it’s Newton, and it’s the TV removal scene, and we see a crack in the dark sky, and THG arms slither out, and then casts a shadow- it’s outside.
Everyone inside! But it’s too late. From it’s eye, we see an action figure Kavok- EXPERIENCE BIJ! But then something goes wrong- a low level malfunction! Then they start to talk about Riker at Large, and we may get to finally see a mock up of this, using a deep fake Frakes, and low level graphics like the post report with the fake Picard.
...when THG arrives, it’s after the lights start to flicker and we all get UFO anxiety.
The floor is different here- same pattern, but different color pallette. I want a new box to hold up the Kindle, and a printed pattern on the walls. I want more consistency, less “shit thrown together”, so the walls are all consistent, though there could still be some things that remain the same, the yellow wall, for instance, or the Nintendo toaster shell.
Did they use the chaos corridor?
Yeah.
It’s been 14 days, 19 hours since we first entered the Chaos Corridor. So far, it’s all been the same. We find a TV room, we watch TV for a while until the room starts to malfunction, then we move to the next. We’ve lost all sense of direction and how to get back, but as far as getting stuck goes, this isn’t too bad. There’s also boiler rooms, which has a vending machine and laundry. We’ve yet to run into the one like our own, but they’re all the same. So far, we haven’t had luck finding a bathroom or some showers. We’ve yet to run into any rooms that someone has previously crapped, pissed, or vomited in so far.
The story may be different- Moxie may have been with them at some point, but has since disappeared. Herman, as it turns out, went after them and is similarly lost. Sometimes, they can communicate by phone. All versions of Newton appear illusury. At one point during Judy Quort, Newton is the bailiff because he says “On your feet, Douglas!”. Schekki is Josephine, or rather… Josephine Schekkina, the differentiate her from other versions of Schekki. This is named after one of the People’s Court bailiffs. Why not have two? Or Newton is switched out with this version of Schekki without explanation.
A dumb twist to all of it: No one gets out of their seats. This means that sometimes, someone gets left behind. They meet up, never quite sure if these are the same friends they were with a few days ago.
Labyrinth H could become literal. There’s a curtain and when pulled back, we see the TV room has four exits, but it’s not euclidiean, so if you leave, you might not ever come back. One mode of transportation may be trippy and make no sense, but involving a special blanket or game chair.
Sometimes, the configuration is definitely off- one stays in a suit, sometimes, it’s either Gerald Jr. or Cirroqman Jake or Brandon, whose name is censored out… poorly? Brandon should be emo. Cirroqman Jake does a stunt like Megaweeoo where he splits, but it’s with more style, like an 8 bit effect, used from warp effects to death.
Perhaps things get scary when Cirroqman Jake shows up perhaps a minute before a monster showed up, the animation gets shitty, but we get a good look at the final shot and it should be horrible. Just absolutely spritz your pants horrible. This is where the fear comes in. After all these days, something terrible has arrived, and they need to figure out the way back, if such a thing is possible. There could be a lot of debate on whether to stay put or keep going. That could be the crux of the main plot.
One version of Douglas has his Scott Bakula mask on. With another Douglas action figure, the second could be painted to look like an Enterprise uniform. The Scott Bakula head could be done entirely in post, or several print out from different episodes could be done depending on angle and speech. I want the episode where he plays Jimmy from the meme famous scene from Quantum Leap, for better or worse.

I wanna learn literally anything you can teach me about bandstand
Alright! These are some facts which I thought pertained to Bandstand that I’ve come across in my research and that I found interesting.
The USS Reid (Jimmy’s ship) was sunk by kamikaze pilots in only two minutes, following a period where the crew was only able to sleep for two hours at a time at most before being called to their battle stations. Jimmy likely would have barely had time to register what was happening before it was all over, and he was in the water.
The Women’s Army Corps (WAC) had a relatively significant number of lesbians enlisted during World War II (I’m not saying that Jo was a member of the WAC during the war, but Jo was a member of the WAC during the war).
In some military canteens, a soldier could record a message on a record to be sent home to their family. I headcanon that Michael did this for Julia.
This has more to do with the Bandstand touring cast, where the actor playing Jimmy (Rob Clove) is POC, but before 1942, the only position in the United States Navy open to African American servicemen was mess hall attendant. In 1942 enlisted ratings opened to all qualified personnel, but the Navy still remained widely racially segregated.
Johnny’s pain pills were likely some form of opioid, one of the only major prescription painkillers available at the time, making them highly addictive.
The Cleveland Limited was an overnight train. According to its timetable in June of 1950, it left the Cleveland Union Terminal at 8:35 PM and arrived in New York City at the Grand Central Terminal at 7:45 AM. It stopped off at East Cleveland, Ohio, Syracuse, New York, Albany, New York, and Harmon, New York on the way.
The movie Donny references seeing in Right This Way which features Robert Walker and Judy Garland was a real movie. It was called The Clock and it was first released on May 25th, 1945. It is about a soldier named Joe Allen (played by Robert Walker) who meets a young woman named Alice Mayberry (played by Judy Garland) while he’s on a 48-hour leave.
This doesn’t have much to do with Bandstand itself, but Donny, Julia, Michael, and everyone else would have been alive and (probably) living in Cleveland when the Cleveland Torso Murders took place.
Thank you so much for your ask! Don’t hesitate to send me more questions you may have, about Bandstand or any other musical.

The Carrier Classic NCAA college basketball game between Michigan State and North Carolina on Friday, November 11, 2011, in Coronado, California, drew a national audience. Why? Because a basketball court on the flight deck of the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier docked in San Diego Bay, was a pretty special event.
This is the kind of luck it had: The original plan was to build a 7,000-seat temporary stadium on the 4.5-acre flight deck along with a more intimate venue downstairs in the hangar bay in case of inclement weather. But in the days before the game organizers decided against constructing the latter and rolled the dice with a forecast calling for a 50-percent chance of rain.
This is the kind of synchronicity it had: The game was played on 11/11/11. North Carolina won 67-55 but few people remember the score, or that Michigan State was 2 of 20 behind the 3-point arc in the evening breeze, or that the game matched future NBA teammates on Golden State’s 2015 championship team in UNC’s Harrison Barnes and MSU’s Draymond Green.
“One of the neatest things I’ve ever done,” said Tar Heels coach Roy Williams, who wore cargo pants tucked into beige combat boots. “Hopefully I’ll coach another 10 or 15 years. It will be hard to top this.”
“A hell of a memory maker,” Spartans coach Tom Izzo said.
Mother Nature cooperated, but 90 minutes after the final buzzer she also sent a stern warning about doing it again. The skies opened and it poured.
There was talk of a 2012 Carrier Classic between Connecticut and Arizona, also in San Diego Bay, but it never came off amid alleged financial issues with the promoter. There were two attempts the following year on the East Coast; one was abandoned at halftime, the other before tip-off. SDSU would play Syracuse on the USS Midway Museum on 11/11/12, but it had to be moved from its original day due to weather and then was plagued by glare, wind and scoreboard malfunctions.

Covid-19 có thể ghìm chân Trump tái cử
Tumblr media

WHO'S ON FIRST
Comedy at its best! Classic comedy. From yesterday. Guaranteed to keep you laughing.
The show titled Classics of Comedy 2. The place The Studios of Key West. January 9-11.
The best of of the old hits includes Abbott and Costello’s Who’s On First. One of the best. From Abbott and Costello’s 1950’s repertoire.
If you enjoy laughing, a good show to see.
Key West City Fathers are about as bright as the Congress of the United States. The City Commission is seriously considering expanding the sidewalks on Duval to permit outdoor dining
I thought the several month experiment with closing off certain portions of Duval was a disaster and waste. I did not hear many favorable comments re the experiment.
Some Duval parking places will be lost. City Commissioners do not seem to care when parking spaces are removed. Haven’t we lost enough already?
Duval itself is too narrow to begin with. It is going to be hell for other than foot traffic. Cars, trucks, motorcycles, mopeds, bicycles, etc. all vying for space. A guaranteed invitation to more accidents.
As far as I am concerned, the idea is as good as Trump’s was to kill General Soleimani.
The 1970’s for Key West were the roaring 20’s. Except for the method of getting high. Drugs replaced booze.
Several writers organized an informal social club. Named it Club Mandible. Twenty to thirty members. Wore special club shirts and had different club names. Like General Chaos and Private Parts. They generally “boogied.”
The Club spearheaded its members’ efforts “toward the unconscious.” Or, a rather a “punishing form of conscious.” The “punishing form of conscious” was a state easily realized due to the availability of drugs.
When the comedian John Belushi died of a drug overdose in 1982, one of the members remarked that “he didn’t seem all that crazy by Key West standards.”
Michelle Goldberg is a New York Times opinion columnist. Her comments re Trump killing General Soleimani in yesterday’s Times right on: “There are no more adults in the room. After three harrowing years, we’ve reached the point many of us feared from the moment Donald Trump was elected. His decision to kill Maj. Gen. Qassim Soleimani…..made…..with little discernible deliberation, has brought the United States to the brink of a devastating new conflict in the Middle East.”
Iraq has said…..U.S. remove your troops from our land. A day or 2 before, the U.S. announced 4,000 troops from the 82nd Airborne had been deployed. Yesterday, it was announced 2,000 Marines were en route on the USS Bataan.
Don’t look like the U.S. is going anywhere.
Trump says the economy is good. I think not. Have not for quite a while. The stock market alone is not an accurate indication of the economical health of a nation.
The market also has the capacity as history tells us to drop suddenly and disastrously.
Businesses are hurting.
The most recent example is Pier 1 Imports. It was announced  by Pier 1 that it is closing close to 450 stores. The number representing half its stores.
The rumor is Pier 1 is nearing a bankruptcy filing.
Its stock has dropped. In 2015, $300 a share. Around $5 today.
The last quarter of 2019 found sales decreased 11.4 percent from the same period the previous year. Pier 1 lost $59 million last year.
Nationally in 2019, there were 9,302 retail store closings. The closings 59 percent greater in 2019 that 2018.
As Trump tells us, the economy is good, the best ever.
Puerto Rico can’t seem to win.
In a 24 hour period, it was hit with 2 major earthquakes. A 5.8 magnitude one monday morning at 5:32 am. A stronger one this morning at 3:24 am. A magnitude 6.4. The second one knocked out the electrical system for the entire island.
There may be more earthquakes in the next few days. The experts had predicted the second one. Fortunately, no predictions re tsunamis.
Beware of internet dating!
The incident only one in millions of contacts made. However, one is enough.
Grindr the dating site.
Kevin Bacon 25 found Mark Latunko on the internet. They met Christmas eve at Latunko’s apartment.
Three days later, Bacon was found hanging naked in Latunko’s apartment. He was hanging by his ankles, his throat cut, and parts of his body missing.
Latunko has admitted to cutting off Bacon’s testicles after he was dead. He later ate them.
Modern day cannibalism.
Syracuse/Virginia Tech at 9 tonight. Virginia Tech has the much better record. Syracuse has to begin a winning steak.

Don't skip it.. it affects you.. read it 👇👇👇 . . Reposted from @robertfkennedyjr - MERCK’S MMR: NATIONAL SECURITY THREAT . . This Naval War Ship, USS FT McHenry, has been wandering the Persian Gulf for three months, unable to dock due to a galloping mumps outbreak caused by Merck’s MMR va$$ine. The ship is likely to spend many more months adrift since naval regulations require full quarantine for 50 days after the last case and new infections appear every week, with 25 cases to date among the ship’s 700 fully va$$inated marines and sailors. In order to qualify for a government granted MMR monopoly, FDA required Merck to prove that each MMR component had a 95% efficacy. The Mumps component stalled out at 69% and efficacy quickly wained. Mumps is a harmless disease in childhood but very dangerous for adults. Merck knew that such an anemic immune response, rather than preventing mumps, would simply delay outbreaks until older age when mumps can cause grave injuries including sterility. Nevertheless, Merck ordered its scientists to spike human blood samples with rabbit antibodies to fool regulators, and when that didn’t work, to falsify lab results. Merck got its monopoly and now a generation of college kids and soldiers are suffering dangerous mumps outbreaks. My niece at Penn currently has mumps and the disease has devastated fully va$$inated populations at Harvard, Temple, Syracuse, Louisiana State, IU, U of Missouri and many others. Not wanting to embarrass Merck, the press doesn’t cover these epidemics— which have infected over 9000 young adults over two years— focusing instead on a tiny handful of measles outbreaks affecting a few dozen children, which can be leveraged to mandate Merck’s dangerous MMR for all Americans. Those bills doom the next generation to continual adult onset mumps infections. Corrupt regulators and easily gulled legislators are all dancing according to Mercks choreography. Ironically, national security concerns lead to waiver of rigorous prelicensing safety testing for all va$$ines. Now that policy is coming back to bite our military. - #regrann https://www.instagram.com/p/BvzgRXshHjF/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1l8rulupk3ton

ACQUA ALTA AND KING TIDES.....VENICE AND KEY WEST
Flooding is occurring in many places world wide. Some natural and common place. Others new and/or aggravated by global warming.
One such flooding is known as Acqua Alta, the other King Tides.
Acqua Alta is Italian for high water. Occurs in the Venice, Italy area between autumn and spring. They are exceptionally high tides.
King Tides are common in many places in the world. My concern is for those that are annual occurrences in the south Florida area which would include Key West. King Tides are “high tides” or “highest tides.”
King Tides can cause sunny day tidal flooding.
Key West experienced King Tidal flooding in the past month. My recollection is it happens twice a year. I am not certain when next it will occur.
The Venice and Key West floodings are higher in recent years because of global warming. The floodings in both communities will probably result in terrible happenings in both places.
Experts believe Venice will wash away. Venice is presently sinking at the rate of one fifth an inch each year. Another contributing factor to Venice’s problem is that its underwater barriers are incomplete.
As to Key West, it is believed ocean front homes will be gone. The waters will come inland and make other areas inhabitable. Solares Hill may be the only land point remaining.
Venice is experiencing its highest tides in 50 years. Each year Key West flooding is a bit more.
I write about the two differently named tides and increasing water levels because of what is occurring in Venice at the moment. Flooding 5-6 feet. Damage significant. Hotel lobbies swimming pools. Century old relics being destroyed.
Nature has a way of expressing itself, regardless of the cause.
“Baby, it’s cold outside!” No question about it. Most of the U.S. experiencing record lows and snow storms.
Key West fortunately not affected. Its sufficiently south location and warm Gulf waters and breezes preclude what northern U.S. is experiencing.
Maine is the northern extreme of the U.S. The southern extreme is Florida. Specifically, Key West. Maine today undergoing record lows. Today’s Key West high 83.
An arctic blowout!
When I practiced law in upstate New York, major automobile accidents were commonplace on days being discussed. Generally on a state highway.
Ohio yesterday experienced 2 major accidents in separate parts of the state. One involving 75 cars, the other 50. The cause typical. Reduced visibility and heavy snow.
Frequently heard is nothing is certain except for death and taxes. Whence its source? Ben Franklin. On this day in 1789, Franklin in a letter to a friend wrote, “In the world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.”
One blog reader is Sue from Cape Cod. She came upon the blog a couple of months ago and wrote me. Sue worked for me in my law firm in the early 1980’s.
It is nice to hear from old friends.
Sue is now retired. Lives on Cape Cod. She has been following my infrequent comments re great white sharks. In one written a few days ago, I said great whites are like humans. They summer in Cape Cod and winter off the Florida Keys.
Several have been observed off Key West since September. Off Smathers Beach and the Gulf side of the island.
As we have a Key West Citizen, the Cape has the Cape Cod Times.
In the Times 11/11/19 edition there appeared a front page article re great whites. Sue sent me a copy.
Great whites get tagged. Specific data is kept re their travels. Researchers have spent the past 5 years tagging the sharks. The tags provide the information.
This past summer a record tagging season. Fifty great whites tagged.
We know now how such precise information in recent years has been provided re great whites.
Jimmy Buffett was scheduled to do a major concert at Orlando Amway Center on 12/7. His performance has been cancelled. He will be having shoulder surgery. His concert rescheduled for next year on 12/5/20.
Harry Truman part of Key West history on this date in 1948. A few days after he won the 1948 Presidential election.
Bess and Margaret followed him to Key West a few days after the election. Truman came down for a much needed vacation the day after the election.
On this day in November 1948, the President, wife Bess and daughter Margaret took a trip on the yacht USS Williamsburg to Fort Jefferson in the Dry Tortugas.
Today is one of America’s most important days. The public portion of the Presidential Inquiry began at 10 this morning.
I am writing this blog in one room while listening to the TV in another on the other side of the house.
Trump must go! Either by impeachment or at the polls next year. Think of the damage he has done in less than 3 years in office. We can’t afford him another 1 1/2 years. Hopefully impeachment will succeed.
The U.S. car maker Tesla is opening in second plant outside U.S. borders. Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced yesterday that a trial factory in China began operation. He further announced a new factory was being opened in Berlin.
The Berlin plant will definitely make Germany the winner in the “great electric car race.”
I don’t understand. Trump told us in the 2016 election that he was going to bring industry/jobs back to the U.S. Doesn’t seem to be working as he told us. In addition to Tesla planning to manufacture in China and Germany, many U.S. auto plants have moved to Mexico since Trump’s election.
The President is a man of his word. He also delivers on what he promised. Does anyone believe him other than himself?
Syracuse/Colgate tonight.
Early season many big time teams play smaller schools. A stipend is paid the smaller college to take the beating. The bigger school gets its team some experience.
Generally, the smaller school gets killed. Sometimes however the smaller school beats the bigger one.
Kentucky early season is ranked #1. Evansville beat Kentucky last night 67-64.
I recall several years ago, Syracuse played Le Moyne early season. Le Moyne did a number on Syracuse.
So it goes.
Enjoy your day!

MORE $100 BILLS THAN $1 BILLS IN CIRCULATION
There are more US $100 bills in circulation than US $1 bills.
Hard to believe.
I don’t see it. I always have many $1 bills in my pocket. Rarely $100 ones unless I ask specifically for a few at a bank.
All linked to global corruption and hoarding. Twelve billion of them. Eighty percent located overseas.
Those involved in crime related ventures use the $100 bills to transact business. No checks. Bills not traceable.
Then there are those who fear an economic collapse. They hoard $100 bills.
Finally, there are those who do not wish anyone, government or otherwise, to know the extent of their assets. Secrete $100 bills.
Interesting.
Some nights are special. Last night was one of them. I had dinner with Donna and Terri. We had a roaring time. From 7-10. We were the last to leave.
We ate at Hurricane Hole. Probably a year since I was last there. What a difference a year makes! Expanded. At least one third more tables. Even a large kids area. A  2 story pirate ship with slides and other things to keep the young ones occupied. While mom and dad enjoy a quiet meal. One eye on the food, the other on their child/children.
The season unusually good. Many tourists. Evident by the number standing and waiting for a table.
A great afternoon ahead. Syracuse/Wake Forest. At Wake Forest. Syracuse a 7.5 point favorite.
I assume we will win. Hopefully.
I will be lounging in an easy chair in the living room watching the game. Tip off time noon.
A special honor has been bestowed upon Key West. A high honor. The USS Billings will be commissioned in August in Key West. Full ceremony.
The Billings is a littoral combat ship that specializes in support roles such as mine countermeasures and anti-submarine warfare.
Key West has only had one other such honor. In 2011, the USS Spruance was commissioned here.
I want to congratulate our President. He did it again. Screwed something up!
He has threatened Venezuela with invasion, sent the Vice-President on the road to rabble rouse Venezuelan neighbors, shipped goods to the border, etc.
Trump is not being humanitarian. He wants control of the oil reserves. The largest in the world.
So does Russia. Putin smart. He sits back and does relatively nothing. Lets Trump rant, rave and raise hell.
Maduro had enough. He announced yesterday that he was moving Venezuela’s state owned oil firm PDVSA’s office to Moscow.
Congratulations, Mr. President! You did good! It never ends. Putin outfoxing you. You are no competition for your “friend” Putin?
Trump had another “victory” this past week. The summit with Kim in Hanoi.
Trump suggests he and Kim have a kumbaya relationship. Trump “loves” Kim.
Didn’t end that way in Hanoi.
The two did not even appear together at the end of the summit. Nothing was accomplished. Trump immediately went on the air without Kim and explained why.
Several hours later, 2 North Korean delegates did a press conference. A rarity for the North Koreans. They indicated the facts were not as represented by Trump.
Keep it up, Mr. President! You are doing a terrific job! First you alienate our allies and pursue dictators. Your new found friends. Now you are pissing the dictators off.
Who will be left to love us in the end?
The U.S. will be alone by the telephone.
Tonight, I don’t know. The Chart Room first, of course. Then where ever the evening takes me.
Enjoy your day!
