I think it's a little bit funny to imagine that Cat was secretly baffled by how hard Lister and Rimmer worked at staying occupied and entertained at all times in the early series

#Cat is generally so easygoing compared to the other two #in the early series he napped and he made his outfits and he explored the ship at his leisure #and that was fine for him #the other two on the other hand were constantly looking for ways to fill the time #(eg Lister blowing bubbles with gum and measuring the diameters and Rimmer painting the corridors even though the difference is negligible) #i like to think Cat was just a little bit bemused by it all #red dwarf
