Hi-
This was just posted on Reddit so I wanted to amplify. Please sign/share…
“Below is the email we were all sent Friday evening. The school board has failed to explain why the show was cancelled. The show was approved in March of 2023, and was just cancelled
Students and Families, I wanted to reach out and make you aware that Timber Creek High School will no longer be performing The Laramie Project this spring. We understand that it is unusual for a production change like this to take place. Students will still have an opportunity to read, discuss, and analyze the play during the school day. Our Theatre directors are already working on developing an alternative production opportunity for our students. Details about this new production will be shared in the coming weeks, and we are excited that our students will have the opportunity to put their theatrical talent on full display to our community. Thank you

Aight so now that I have finished Brothersong I have THOUGHTS on further logistical breakdowns of how Green Creek could be adapted to a GLAAD Award-Winning HBO TV show. Spoilers so here is a cut for anyone who wants to be fresh to the series.
PRE-PRODUCTION
OKAY SO! The filming block for Season 1/Wolfsong would MOST LIKELY be the biggest, especially for scenes involving younger versions of the actors. As these are spread out across, like, all four books, some are just “scene we’ve seen but from a different perspective or with ‘Dream Seauence VFX’ so we just need more blocking/extra takes to make it all seem believeable using B-roll” to “yeah this requires Young Thomas and various child actors so we’re filming this beforehand so that everyone looks the same when these scenes come up later” to “ah hell we gotta shave their heads anyways might as well film the revenge road trip.” Thus, basically everyone but, like, Dominique would have to be cast by Season 1, and probably all of Season 1 and half of season 2 would need to be written and finalized and drafts/outlines of Season 3 and 4 would need to be made before casting would begin. Writer’s room would include TJ and a racially-diverse LGBT staff.
Caswell wouldn’t need to be fully built but enough of a location would be needed to film individual scenes with the younger actors and scenes set in the big house at Caswell (ie arguments between Mark and Thomas, Joe being taken, Thomas in the woods with the kids, Thomas writing the letters)
Title sequence would be based on the lovely new covers for the hardcover editions from Tor. They’d get longer with each season and by the end we see the whole pack in the papercraft style of the covers.
CASTING
Yeah we’d need a big ass cast. With multiple actors to play different characters at different ages.
Babies:
Carter, Kelly, Joe, maybe also Gavin depending on things
Children:
Gordo, Gavin, Mark, Rico, Chris, Tanner, Carter, Kelly, Joe, Robbie
Young Adult (ie Teen to Mid 20s) and Adult (ie by the Rough Present of when Ox first discoveres the secret of the Bennetts)
Basically everyone else
The tricky part will be that, yeah, there will probably need to be different actors for 20s Thomas, Elizabeth, Mark, and Gordo because while a 20-something can play 16 or so, its harder for 30-40 year olds to play 20-something. The upside being that an older actor CAN play Gordo for the scenes after Ox’s dad leaves (also Ox’s dad will need a name lol). You would need to switch to older actors for the Bennett kids and Ox basically once Ox graduates high school. But then you can keep all the same actors for the rest of the “present” set scenes. Osmond, and Robert Livingstone would also need younger actors. Richard Collins would only need one actor he’s barely in the flashbacks as it is.
STRUCTURE/PLOT RAMBLINGS
There are a few things that would need to be done in order to improve the pacing for TV, imo. Mainly, that the handing off of Alpha of All to the Fairbanks pack needs to feel more earned and less semi-random. Like, show them taking in Omegas at the end of Season 2, have them be allies at Caswell in Season 3 and the final battle in Season 4. Flesh them out a bit more. Also some continuity smoothing would be needed (ie clarifying that Gordo refused Mark’s MATE bite not Thomas’s BECOME WOLF bite).
Some more forshadowing of Robert’s failsafe in Season 2 would help. Obviously SHOW Gavin’s timber wolf in the attack on Jessie (and ideally have the actor be the body actor wearing the CGI ball suit moving all wolf-like in the scene) in Season 1.
I’d personally add in more of a wrap-up in Caswell at the end of Season 4. And also an extended aftermath scene or episode after Ox’s resurrection. Joe’s wolf is still bigger than almost everyone else, but not as big as it was when he was Alpha. One thing that I’d ask to be added is, maybe with the death of Robert and the ressurrection of Ox there’s a big ass magic pulse and we get a follow-up with the new Alpha of All from Alaska training Betas who have become Alphas thanks to Mystical Moon Magic as they rebuild packs across the continent. Idk the story needs more of a denumont. Alpha of All making more of an effort to try and bring Omegas back from the brink before just automatically deciding to kill them.
Dominique could have human bite marks on her to show thar Jessie tried to “Mate Bite” too even as a human. Bambi and Rico too.
He/They Gavin? Maybe? Gavin feels very he/they. Also Elizabeth showing affection to Maggie (hey if we’re gonna imply that Thomas and Richard had a kind of romantic love for each other in Brothersong before he went Omega Lizzie can make side-eye at Maggie).
Show more of the three year gap between Ravensong and Heartsong (not a lot but more than just one bit when Robbie is kidnapped). And the new story in the deluxe hardcover books too. The myth or whatever. That can be animated in a sketchy style (think Princess Kaguya or Wolfwalkers) with VO from Elizabeth.
Anyway rambling over I love these books so much. TJ I woudn’t say no to a LIGHT DRAMA/mostly fluff 5th book or short story. Maybe from Chris or Tanner’s perspective? Or Jessie’s?

These Are the Best Schools in Palm Beach County!
Top rated schools are a common search criteria when buying a home in Palm Beach County.  The Florida Department of Education rates each of our schools annually with a grade system from “A” being the best to “F” being the lower scoring.
At Greenfield Waters Florida Realty we find that several areas have a concentration of “A” rated schools.  This quick guide will highlight areas and schools that consistently have years of “A” rating and reliable streaks of quality in their history.
Schools zones in Florida can be very different.  They often fit together like puzzle pieces and unlike other states the zones are not just related to the specific town where the school is located as they may border other towns that attend as well.  There are often Magnet Programs and Charter Schools as well that are very valuable.
Note that this list is a quick view of commonly desired schools.  They have good streaks of “A” ratings and there are certainly great schools that have “B” ratings from time to time.  There are many great schools that we just could not fit into this short list.  A full list of all schools can be found at these following links:
Florida School Accountability Reports
Clicking “School Grades” in Excel format will download the full list of schools for your review.

Throughout the program I have made lifelong friendships, restored old ones, and got a much deeper grasp of what happens in Pasco County. My favorite part of the program was the sheriff's department. I can truly see myself living here forever. - Noah J. Downey,Sunlake High School "As I reflect on my time in the Pasco Youth Leadership, a moment that stands out for me was when the program had economic day. That day I and many others in my group learned about how our leaders here in Pasco County work tirelessly to grow and provide new opportunities to all those who live in its community. It was that day that I realized it does not take someone who is in a high position to be a leader but someone who genuinely cares for their community and the people who reside in it. The program allowed its members to meet many leaders form doctors to business leaders and even our very own superintendent of schools Kurt Browning. In the end I am profoundly grateful for the privilege of being part of this amazing program, the Pasco Youth Leadership program. Old Town Clovis, CA (No. 4)
At the same time that the railroad was being planned, a group of Michigan lumbermen began acquiring thousands of acres of timber in the Sierra Nevada about 75 miles (121 km) northeast of Fresno and founded the Fresno Flume and Irrigation Company in 1891. A dam was built across Stevenson Creek to create a lake that would enable them to move freshly cut timber to a mill beside the lake. They then constructed a 42-mile (68 km), 25-foot-high (7.6 m), V-shaped flume that started at the foot of the dam. As lumber was rough-cut at the mill, it was loaded into the flume and propelled by water to a planing mill east of the Clovis railroad station, where the Clovis Rodeo and Clark Intermediate School sit today. The lumber mill and yard had its own network of rails to move lumber around the yard and to connect with the SJVRR just south of Clovis station.
The completion in 1894 of the lumber flume and commencement of mill operations provided the impetus for further development of the area around the Clovis Station. The town began to take shape as lumber yard employees built homes close to their employment. Service businesses, churches, and schools became necessary, and the town was begun. Clovis's first post office opened in 1895.[10] An 1896 newspaper article describes the town as having a population approaching 500 citizens.
Clovis was incorporated as a city on February 27, 1912. Principal streets in the town center were named for the railroad's officers. Fulton Street was later named Front Street, then Main Street, and is now Clovis Avenue.

The Addams Family Musical by Timber Creek Drama at Timber Creek High School in Sicklerville, NJ
By Ricky and Dana Young-Howze Timber Creek Drama’s performance of The Addams Family, a musical comedy with book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice and music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa, was a chilling good time. This production directed by Carolyn Hand brings the timeless characters from the mind of Charles Addams back from the crypt and onto the stage. Gomez Addams’ (played by Geoffrey Collins) little daughter is all grown up and wants to get married. Wednesday (played by Katie Fox ) has asked that he keep her engagement to her normal fiancé, Lucas (played by Jeffrey Redwanowaki), a secret from Morticia (played by Courtney LeMasney). Add Lucas’s plain Jane parents (played by Lucy Fleiscann and Eric Rothenhofer) into the mix of the Addams household and you have a familial whirlwind threatening to blow everyone over. Pugsley (played by Elise Farrar) schemes to break up his sister and her new beau. If she marries him she may never torture Pugsley again. So he brews up a scheme with one of Grandmama’s special potions. Grandmama (played by Bianca Gray) has a mouth that goes a thousand times faster than she walks. She may be old but her snark always hits home. Then we have the narration of Uncle Fester (Taylor Nelson) who serves as our liaison between ancestors, family, and audience and actors. He spouts one liners just as much as he tells us his love for the moon. And let's not forget Lurch (played by Donovan Jones), the family butler. He's a being on a pit stop on his slow shuffle off this mortal coil. A giant with an even bigger heart. But what would a musical about the Addams Family be without Gomez and Morticia? If you said “dark and dismal” you would be right! The show isn't complete without them. Carolyn Hand’s direction was character focused and spot on. The characters were clear in their motivations and in their actions. As I always say you can tell where a director invests their time and I could really tell that she spent quality time with this cast to make these characters work. And when the characters work we’ll go wherever the lead us. Choreography by Niki Williams was simple yet great with nothing too over the top or complicated. However with a couple of great group numbers like “Around the Corner”, “When you're an Addams” and “Tango Amor” there was some tight group and partner work that really shone. The set which was built under the supervision of stage crew advisor Jack Campbell was beautiful and detailed. Each set was elaborate without overpowering the stage. I did notice that the set changes took a bit longer but the payoff was worth it. I bet a lot of the delays were opening night gremlins and that they will work much more smoothly in tonight's performance. John Perkis’s vocal direction was the key to making a great play amazing. The cast was loud, clear, and energetic and it really paid off. You'd be surprised how much being able to hear the cast clearly makes the play even better and these guys started at “amazing”. Since they used an accompaniment track over a live band they could really make sure that their singing “went to eleven” and wasn't overpowered. Costume designer Julia Incarvite’s work really shined in terms of the ancestors. Each ancestor had a unique ghostly personality that immediately shown through their clothes. That's where all the little touches came alive and made the play for me. All of the cast was great but Collins’ portrayal of Gomez and Fox’s Wednesday really stood out to me. Fox’s Wednesday is the perfect balance of the dark and gothic Wednesday we all grew up with and the bubbly love sick young woman she is in this show. The actors handled a few tiny stage mishaps like Broadway pros. A prime example of this is Collins still in full Gomez mode commenting about an exposed beam (in theatre it's called a fly rail) that was late on its cue to raise a swing for him to sit on. He even thanked the ancestors as it was being fixed. So even the stage became a fun character with their little adlibs. Two supporting shoutouts were Jones as Lurch and Nelson as Fester. Simply put these two characters are the glue that hold the play together. Fester is our handhold through the entire show and the one who helps guide the story from scene to scene. What made Jones’s Lurch a standout was his voice. The boy can sing! No spoilers but there's a moment at the end of the play when Lurch finally sings and Jones blew the roof off the place. Two background standouts were Alexxis Tswago and Arriea Wilson as Gangster Guy and Gangster Gal respectively. Their energy was contagious! To have two people in the background having so much fun you can't help but notice them makes a play even more special. I want to give a special shoutout to the actors playing Lucas’s family. They sat near us in the back before their big entrance and pretended to be normal theater patrons. At first I thought they were annoying late guests. But when I figured it out I was pleasantly surprised. I wonder if they would have sat near us if they knew the two of us were reviewers. All in all it's a great show made even better by an energetic cast. They were so energetic it spilled out onto their social media and they had one of the best grassroots marketing campaigns I've ever seen. They shared pics and moments and made anyone paying attention really excited for the show. Shoutout to Katie Fox who hunted me down and asked me to come out. This whole cast had just that kind of moxie and that's what put the show over the top. The Addams Family is a creepy and a kooky, hilarious and spooky good time. You should check it out! Running Time: Two and a half hours with a 15 minute intermission. The Addams Family opened on April 6th at and plays through Sunday April 9th at the You can get tickets at the door.

I knew dams on the Columbia and urban pollution in the Willamette had nearly destroyed the salmon runs in those rivers, but there were no dams and minimal pollution on Elk River. The propaganda that passed as outdoor education didn't speak of the effects of clearcutting on salmon habitat. No one explained that as spawning beds silt up with logging debris and disappear, fewer and fewer wild salmon can spawn. I never heard that if the trees shading a creek are cut, the direct sunlight warms the water. And if the water temperature rises enough in a watershed, salmon, which require relatively cold water to survive, are put at risk. Nor did the propaganda speak of over-fishing. The commercial salmon fishermen who made their livelihoods fishing the summer salmon runs off the coast of California, Oregon, Washington, British Columbia and Alaska hadn't yet heard of sustainable yield. The salmon runs seemed endless.
The powers-that-be didn't teach us that hatchery salmon differ from wild salmon, that they are genetically more homogenous, more susceptible to disease, and less hardy once at sea. To raise salmon year after year in a hatchery, biologists use formaldehyde and other chemicals each summer to combat recurring diseases that kill thousands of hatchery fingerlings. The continuous pumping of water from the river washes these chemicals into the ecosystem. And each winter when the hatchery salmon don't return to the hatchery in large enough numbers, biologists go to natural spawning beds and net wild salmon, taking them to the hatchery to augment their supply of spawn. Soon wild salmon might not exist. The propaganda neglected these details.
My classmates and I were taught by teachers who worked for schools funded largely with timber taxes; by US Forestry Service rangers and their brochures; and by industry-supported textbooks, slide shows, and tours. The point isn't simply that we, like schoolchildren across the country, were taught half-truths about trees and salmon. Rather we learned even more fundamental lessons, that trees and salmon are endlessly renewable commodities. This view of the natural world, which puts clearcutting, replanting, and hatcheries at its center, conveniently supported the two industries, logging and fishing, that sustained the towns we lived in.
Not until I left Port Orford did I come into contact with other worldviews. Living in a city for the first time, I met people who knew salmon only as frozen patties, who used paper but had never been to a paper mill. For them trees were the tall, skinny maples, oaks, and beeches that grew along sidewalks. They navigated the seemingly impossible parking structures and bus stops with ease and comfort. Some of them believed that trees and salmon were more than just commodities.
They created a fuzzy, romanticized version of nature, combining memories of Walt Disney nature movies with their occasional summer vacations to overcrowded national parks. Or they believed in a white urban version of tree spirits and Mother Earth. Either way, my new acquaintances held trees and fish in an awestruck reverence as they talked about the dangers of nuclear power and the destruction of rainforests in Brazil, about clearcutting as rape. I simply listened. Surrounded by concrete and high-rises, I slowly stopped taking the familiar plants and animals of the Siskiyou National Forest for granted. When I returned home to visit, I caught glimpses of what was beautiful and extraordinary about the place I grew up in, and what was ugly and heartbreaking. I started to believe that trees and salmon weren't just harvestable crops. I read Sierra Club literature, the Earth First! Journal, Dave Foreman's ecotage manual, learned about Love Canal, Three Mile Island, the Nevada Test Site, Big Mountain; and started to turn from a right-wing, Libertarian-influenced childhood toward a progressive adulthood. I never grew into the white urban reverence of tree spirits and Mother Earth, a reverence often stolen from Native spiritual traditions and changed from a demanding, reciprocal relationship with the world into something naïve and shallow that still places human life and form at the center. Nor did I ever grow comfortable with the metaphor of clearcutting as rape, the specificity of both acts too vivid for me to ever compare or conflate them. But I did come to believe that trees and fish are their own beings, important in and of themselves, and that I— as activist, consumer, and human being among the many beings on this planet— have a deeply complex relationship with them."]
